------------------SCENE ONE-------------------

The scene opens on December 31, 2003 at Time Square in New York City. The streets are packed with people waiting to celebrate the new year. It is about 11:59 with just 30 seconds left until 2004. As the seconds tick away, the crowd chants the countdown. The New Year’s Eve Ball begins its slow descent.

As the clock strikes 12:00, the ball stops as a big 2004 sign blasts off. Fireworks go off, along with confetti and the traditional New Year’s theme.

After several minutes of celebrating, the crowd starts to slowly empty out. People hurry to go off to home to be with their loved ones, off to hotels to get to bed early, or off to parties to welcome in the new year with alcohol. As people rush past the camera, among them is none other than WWE superstar, Goldberg. He is wearing his Harley Davidson leather jacket, along with his black jeans. He looks into the camera, thinking now as the perfect time to cut a promo.

‘The Man’ ~ So, another year has gone by and another one comes. That’s right, the year of 2003, the same year that used to seem like would never come, has come and gone. Now we have arrived into the year 2004. People sing and celebrate... but for what? How do they know what 2004 will bring? Perhaps one of their loved ones may be hurt... or perhaps they may be hurt themselves. I am feeling pretty damn good right now for one reason. This is a whole new start for Goldberg. A whole new beginning. 2003 wasn’t very good to me. Especially the end of it. What started out as perfect career, went straight down hill. I ended 2003 with a record of 10-6... 6 losses, most courtesy of ‘The Franchise’, Shane Dickless. Many wrestlers would be thrilled to have a record of 10-6... but not me. Six losses is not good enough. 2004 marks a new beginning... I promise that you will see a much more ruthless.... a much more vicious side of the Man.

‘The Man’ ~ As for a New Year’s resolution? Well, I have two. First, my resolution is to win the title that means most to me... the same title that I was screwed out of... my resolution is to win the World Heavyweight Title. Next... my next resolution is to beat the living hell out of both Shane’s, Shane Douglas and that bastard that I work for, Shane McMahon. These really aren’t resolutions, you see. These are promises. I will complete these goals... and everybody better watch out when I do.

‘The Man’ ~ So, my first match of my new year... Goldberg taking on John Cena in a... non-title match. Non-title match? What the hell is that all about? Shane knows that if he books a title match, I would be taking home whatever belt John Cena has. But that’s ok. No matter what’s on the line, nothing will stop me from kicking that Vanilla Ice-wannabe’s ass all over that ring.

‘The Man’ ~ While I was sitting out here, waiting for 2004 to begin, I thought of a little rap for JC...

Yo, my name is Goldberg, they call me da man...

What I do to people should be banned!

Back in the WcW, I had an undefeated streak...

When John Cena looks at me he starts to leak!

Back up kid, yo I know that you' scared..

I’ve killed kids just like you and not even cared!

Cena, fear the spear...

Cena thinks he is as strong as me?

Oh no, no, no, I’m 10 times bigger...
