Scene 1 ~

The scene opens up bright and early on Sunday morning. We’re just about 11 hours away from the biggest event in most superstar’s career. The scene is in a hallway in the legendary Madison Square Garden. Goldberg is seen, leaving his locker room. He is wearing his wrestling attire. He walks down the hall, toward the ring. He walks out of the stage which is just nearly complete. He stops, looking out at the empty seats. Goldberg then resumes walking as he climbs into the ring. He continues to look out into the empty crowd.

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Just think, in about 8 hours, these seats will no longer be empty. They will be filled with 30,000 screaming fans who have been waiting their whole life for Wrestlemania XX. Some of them were here for the very first Wrestlemania. Now this is the first Wrestlemania restarted. The fans paid their hard earned money to come and see us do what we love to do... kick ass. The main reason why they bought tickets was for Goldberg VS Triple H VS HBK... my match. The fans paid their hard earned money to see me in the main event. So I will fight the best to my ability... I will never let go... never give in. I will fight for each and every one, not just in attendance, but for each and every fan watching at home... I will fight to give them a Wrestlemania they can remember. I will also fight for myself. Fight for myself to prove that everything I have been saying is true. Fight to show that I am the best. Fight... for that World Heavyweight Championship.”

Goldberg pauses briefly as he looks down at the mat.

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Just think, in about 11 hours, this ring will be filled with wrestlers who have put their heart and soul into getting here, much like myself. The wrestlers will be trying the best to put on the best show and still get the victory. If you’re going to win one match in your career, win at Wrestlemania. At the end of tonight, this ring will be filled with three individuals vying for one thing, the thing that everybody wants... the World Heavyweight Championship title. That little strap of gold is why I put my body on line each and every night... why I won that Royal Rumble... and why I will win Wrestlemania.”

Coach walks out of the stage. | ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Goldberg! What are you doing out here? I thought I heard someone talking to their self...”

Coach climbs into the ring.

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “How about one last interview before tonight?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Sure.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Great. First of all, describe the last 24 hours.”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “To tell you the truth, the last 24 hours have been hell. I have not been able to eat, sleep, think about anything else but Wrestlemania. I know that I can pick up the win... but I have that sick feeling in my stomach... what if I don’t? What’s stopping me from getting screwed by Shane, by Sable, by Stephanie... what’s stopping Triple H from hitting a pedigree and pinning me for the three count? What’s stopping Shawn Michaels from delivering a Sweet Chin Music and covering me, resulting me losing? What if all the hard work and dedication over the last two months... over the last year... over my entire life... what if it all was for nothing? I realize that Shawn and Hunter have worked just as hard as I have... so what’s preventing them from beating me tonight? The best answer I can provide for those questions is me. I am stopping anybody from interfering... I am stopping Triple H from hitting the Pedigree and winning... I am stopping Shawn Michaels from delivering the Sweet Chin Music and winning... I am stopping my defeat.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Yeah, those last 24 hours suck. Getting back to your opponents... Triple H said that you are already a champion... a champion of a dumbass. Are you?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Am I the champion of a dumbass? Well, obviously Triple H already is a champion... a champion at the longest nose competition! Did you see that honker? I’m afraid he might poke me in the eye during our match!”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Triple H has also said that the Triple H era is about to begin...”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Heh, the Triple H era? It sounds like the next Great Depression. Too bad it won’t come. That Triple H fantasy is nothing more than that... a fantasy. He will never happen as long as I’m here in the WWE. Cause since I came to the WWE, last October, we have surrounded in hype... my hype. That’s the kind of world we live in and that’s the kind we will stay in. Those who I have fought already know to fear the hype... but for some reason, I just can’t seem to get it through Shawn Michael’s and Triple H’s head. They even found out first hand what it feels like not to believe the hype, and yet, they still run around running their mouths.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Let’s talk about you coming here last October...”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Well, as everyone knows, I came here with one goal in mind... to be the World Heavyweight Champion. I’ve worked hard each and every night since then and I finally got there... it was Armageddon and I had a World Heavyweight Title shot against Shane Douglas. I lost, plain and simple... but it was really a blessing in disguise. That loss just motivated me even more. That loss made me crave revenge... and so I trained hard and I won the Royal Rumble, securing a spot in the main event at Wrestlemania against Shane Douglas. But Shane just walks out of the WWE like the little bitch he was. Then Johnny ‘The Bull’ Stamboli is practically handed the title, which he beat out Shawn Michaels I might add, and so it was Stamboli VS Goldberg for the World Title... but that wasn’t the case either. Stamboli all of a sudden walked out, too, so that left the WWE with no champion. That’s where I come in. I’m sick of seeing the title getting handed to everybody. I am standing here right now telling the world that I will win that title and I will be a champion that everybody can be proud of.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “One last question... what kind of champion will you be?”

| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Like I said, I will be the type of champion that can be looked up to... that is respected. I will defend that title at each and every pay-per-view if I have to. I really will not change from what I am now. All that will change is there will be a 16 lbs. belt around my waist. I will still have my intensity, my ferocity, my will and determination. I will work harder than ever to retain that title. I will be the World Heavyweight Champion... Triple H, Shawn Michaels... once and for all, I will say it... YOU'RE NEXT!!!”

Without another word, Goldberg walks away leaving a speechless Coach.
