Scene 1 ~ Tonight Show Begins...

The scene opens up at about 11:35 PM in Burbank, California at the NBC Studios. Actually, we are just moments away from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno kicking off. The crowd is anxiously awaiting the beginning of the show as the opening music plays. Jay Leno walks out to a huge ovation from the audience. He waves and then sticks his hands in his pockets.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Thank you very much and welcome to the Tonight Show! We have another huge lineup scheduled for tonight. Our first guest is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Bill Goldberg! From the new movie, Catwoman, Halle Berry will be here! And here tonight to perform will be Five for Fighting!”

The crowd cheers and applauds for the guests on the show tonight.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “But let’s start off with some recent events... As you know the presidential conventions are coming up. You know how much time the major networks are going to devote to convention coverage? Three hours. Three hours total. One hour a night for three nights to pick a president. That's about one-tenth of the time we devote to finding an American Idol.”

The crowd laughs as Jay continues.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Hey, it’s true! President Bush spoke with the Amish the other day. He didn't want to, but it was the only group he could find that wasn't upset about the high price of gas. Yeah, they don’t care how much gas prices raise!”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “"In that same speech the other day to the Amish, President Bush said that God speaks through him. That's what he said. I don't know, do you think God would mispronounce that many words?”

Jay smiles as the crowd laughs some more.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “The Bush administration announced this week they want to lift the ban on logging. This is part of their No Tree Left Behind program.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Two big stories today involve celebrities Arnold Schwarzenegger and Martha Stewart. One is having problems in Sacramento with girly men and the other is going to prison with manly girls. Yeah, and now recent polls have discovered that Arnold’s popularity percentage is going down. Apparently, he is losing the votes from the girly men.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Hey Kevin, did you hear what happened to Howard Dean the other day?”

The camera shows the jazz guitarist, Kevin.

| ‘Tonight Show Music Director’ Kevin Eubanks | “No, Jay, I didn’t.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Well, Howard Dean was at the Washington, D.C., airport. He's in a pay phone when a thief reached in and swiped his wallet and ran away... Usually when a democratic presidential candidate gets robbed it's not until November.”

| ‘Tonight Show Music Director’ Kevin Eubanks | “Ha, ha, ha!”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “In Canada, a lesbian couple that got married last year is seeking a divorce. Conservative groups are against it. They said divorce is between a man and a woman.”

The crowd laughs once again as Kevin strikes his guitar.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Here's a bizarre story... A man in Illinois has been accused of having sex with his dog. Those Fox reality shows are just really getting out of hand.”

Jay laughs and then continues with the story.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “The guy said they met on the Internet. The dog lied -- said he was a sheep. I think the bitch set him up.”

Everybody laughs as Jay walks back towards his desk.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Stay tuned, Bill Goldberg is coming up next... we’ll be right back.”

The scene fades to a commercial break as the cameras pan over the audience.

Scene 2 ~ Doing the Impossible...

The scene opens back up right after the commercials. Jay is now seated behind his desk, a coffee cup in hand.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Ladies and gentlemen, our first guest tonight, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Bill Goldberg!”

The crowd cheers as Step Up by Drowning Pool hits. Goldberg walks out dressed in gray pants and a gray muscle t-shirt. Goldberg has the World Heavyweight title in hand as he waves to the audience and then shake’s Jay’s hand. Goldberg sits in the seat next to Jay’s desk as the music dies down.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Welcome to the Tonight Show, Bill! Thanks for coming!”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Yeah, any time.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Do you come on many shows like this?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Well, last month before the King of the Ring, I was on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Yeah, I heard that. Well, anyway, let’s get started, shall we?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Fine with me.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “So, you are the World Heavyweight Champion... this is the biggest accomplishment there is in the WWE, is that correct?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “That’s correct, Jay. When I first came into the WWE, I had my sights on this title and nobody and nothing could stop me from getting to it. This title shows exactly who is at their best and who is on the top of the ladder of success. I pride myself on being the champion and I like to show it. This is the title that everybody wants... and that’s the downside to being the World Champion. Everybody wants a piece of you... and no matter where you go, you always have to keep your eyes open. I might as well paint a target on my chest ‘cause there pretty much is one.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Well, congratulations on being the champion. But I hear a certain superstar is walking around saying that he will become the new champion and that certain superstar is Stone Cold Steve Austin.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Yeah, that’s right, Jay. Stone Cold is a good friend of mine, but apparently he wants to be the one to end my title reign. And he has been given that shot to end my reign this Sunday at the pay-per-view known as Vengeance. But make no mistake about it, I will be coming at him full throttle.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “It certainly sounds like it will be a great match. You said that you are good friends with Steve... how did this friendship come to be?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Well, it all started when he made the smartest choice of his life by joining the Supremacy, a faction consisting of myself and the best wrestlers in the WWE today. Stone Cold. I gained a lot of respect for Austin at the King of the Ring when he joined us, but, to tell you the honest truth, I’ve always had a ton of respect for Austin. Back when I was in WcW, I would always hear that Stone Cold Steve Austin was over in the WWF wreaking havoc. I liked to consider myself the Stone Cold Steve Austin of the WcW. But this Sunday, it won’t matter how much respect I have for the Texas rattlesnake... he is still going down.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Goldberg, I am just curious... why do the fans boo you? I remember a few months back that the fans would go nuts whenever your music hit and now they... well, they chant some pretty harsh things.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Jay, the fans turned their backs on me and so, I turned my back on them. I was sick and tired of trying to be the crowd pleaser of the WWE. A couple of months ago, I was more concerned with making sure to give the fans a good show. It may be called the World Wrestling Entertainment, but I could care less if I entertain the fans. All that matters is that I am the World Heavyweight Champion... which I am. Like I have said in the past, the fans are jealous of me, Jay. They are jealous that I am unstoppable. Do you want to know why I am constantly being challenged by Supremacy members, Jay?”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Uh... sure.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “It’s because the Supremacy members don’t have the fans blocking our way to greatness. The Supremacy doesn’t give a damn about the fans and that’s the way it should be. When all you care about is the fans, you get sidetracked from completing the real reason you came to the WWE... to win the World Heavyweight Championship. I will not let the fans sidetrack me again, Jay. I am thankful for having people like Triple H and his wife, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. They are the ones who showed me that I don’t need the fans to succeed... hell, they showed me that I can’t succeed with the fans on my side. That’s the way it is, and that’s the way it’s going to be.”

The audience begins to boo Goldberg and he just smirks.

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Yeah, it’s easy to boo me from where you are... but any of you in the crowd were in my shoes, you would be doing the same exact thing. All I am doing is looking out for the number one man... myself. If you don’t like it, then do something about it! I will take any one of you people on anytime, anyplace, anywhere!”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Heh, it sounds like an open challenge to the fans by Goldberg. Getting off the subject of the fans, we have a tape of Stone Cold Steve Austin cutting a promo about you and the match on Sunday.”

A video of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s promo from the other day plays. After it is done, the camera goes back to Jay and Goldberg.

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Well, Stone Cold did bring up some valid points, Bill. One being that he is undefeated.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Yeah... maybe Austin is undefeated... whoopty doo! I was undefeated for that many matches when I first came into the WWE, too. And don’t even get me started about how long I was undefeated in WcW. Steve, you may be undefeated for the time being, but don’t get too wrapped up in the feeling... ‘cause it won’t last long. Five wins out of five matches is a good start... but after I am done with you, you will have five wins out of six matches. But that sixth match won’t be just any match... it will be your World Heavyweight title shot. Austin, you have been given a great opportunity this Sunday... but don’t let it get to your head. After all, you are facing the best that the WWE has to offer. You may be undefeated now, but after Vengeance, all you will be is defeated.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Steve had said that he wants you to prove him wrong, but now he has taken back that statement, saying that is an impossible thing to do.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Impossible thing to do? I have heard that phrase so many times... and yet, I have always made it possible. Take for instance the fact that Shane McMahon used to tell me that winning the World Heavyweight Title was impossible... because of the fact that he wouldn’t give me another title shot. However, I won the Royal Rumble, forcing Shane to give me that title shot. Then I went on to Wrestlemania and did the impossible when I beat Triple H and Shawn Michaels and won the World Heavyweight Championship. I have did the impossible on many different occasions and at Vengeance, it will be no exception.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “What is your response to Austin claiming that the World Heavyweight Title is his World Heavyweight Title?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Stone Cold says that I am holding his World Heavyweight Championship...”

Goldberg holds up the title to the camera.

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Well, Steve, I don’t see your name on it. All I see on it is GOLDBERG. And that, Steve, would mean that this is my World Heavyweight title. Wait, I think Steve meant that after this Sunday, the title would be his. But that is also not true. Steve, like I said before, this is my title and will remain my title until I can no longer wrestle. This title isn’t going anyway after Vengeance except right back around my waist.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Judging by the Hell Yeah! given by the fans, they seem to think that Stone Cold will indeed be walking out with the title on Sunday.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Does the fans opinions decide the winner of the match, Jay? No, they don’t. The only people that decide the winner is myself and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The fans always think I will lose... they thought Brock Lesnar would defeat me... and where’s Brock, now? That’s right, he’s jobless. I take full credit for Brock quitting. Then the fans thought that the Olympic Gold Medallist, Kurt Angle, would defeat me. Wrong again. I went through hell and back with Kurt, and I single handedly proved that I am the real deal. Now the fans think Stone Cold is the one to beat me. It will be my honor to prove the fans wrong once again when I defeat their hero, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and I successfully retain my title just like I have so many times in the past.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Austin also said that your running out of gas as the champion. Is this true?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Running out of gas? Hell no! I’m just getting started. I am the only true World Heavyweight Champion, meaning I can handle all the pressures of being the champion for however long my reign lasts. Stone Cold may be a good champion one day, but he’s not a champion who could last. There is a difference in a champion and a long lasting champion. If Austin ever became champion, he would be a champion, nothing more and nothing less. But I, on the other hand, I have what it takes to defend this title against anybody in any circumstance. As for Austin saying I’m running out of gas? I think Austin better check his gas tank... ‘cause mine’s full.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Steve brought up a valid point... who do you think Stephanie and Vince would rather have as a champion?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Stone Cold did bring up a valid point... a point in my favor. Stephanie... Vince... who would you rather have leading the Supremacy? A guy who is flawless and unstoppable... a guy who is always true to his allies... OR... a guy who is cold blooded... a guy who lives by the motto don’t trust anybody... a guy who has stunned both Vince and Stephanie just one month ago. Who’s the logical choice? Somebody they can trust... or Stone Cold Steve Austin? Austin has proved many times in the past that he hates Vince and Stephanie... and they are actually trusting him in leading the Supremacy?”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Did you know that you would be facing Stone Cold even before he won the number one contender’s match?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Yeah, I had a gut feeling I would be facing him. Stone Cold is one tough son of a bitch. He was facing a washed up Undertaker who’s off having babies with Sable... and his other opponent was Brock Lesnar, a guy who I seriously injured and humiliated just under a month ago. Of course Stone Cold was going to win.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Well, that pretty much wraps things up, Goldberg. Is there anything else you would like to say about Vengeance?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Well, Vengeance will be a must-see event. Huge matches are already booked and many surprises as well. Goldberg VS Austin will be a match like no other and you can only get it by ordering Vengeance. Also, my good friend, Triple H, will be taking on Chris Jericho and Christian... that’s sure to be a great match as well. Also, the Tag Team title will be defended as well as the Intercontinental title.”

| ‘Tonight Show Host’ Jay Leno | “Sounds like a great event. Thanks again, Goldberg, for stopping by. We’ll be right back!”
