Forward ~ The End is Here!
The backlash from Wrestlemania is over... Now we look on to the place where one individual’s fate lies... where one individual’s end lies... it will be the survival of the fittest... many will fall... but one will survive. The end draws near... the time when all shall be punished... the time when all shall be forgotten... and the time that all shall be... NEXT!!! JUDGMENT DAY IS HERE!!!
Scene 1 ~ The Next Challenger...
The scene opens up just about 30 hours away from Judgment Day. We are in Stamford, Connecticut, the home of the WWE Headquarters. In fact, we are in the parking lot of the WWE Headquarters where a Thunderbird has just pulled up. It stops in front of the doors as a valet walks out. The engine of the Thunderbird roars as it shuts off. The door opens and Goldberg gets out. He tosses the keys in the air and watches as the valet catches them. The valet then gets in the car and drives away to park it. Goldberg watches as the car roars away. Then he turns around and heads into the massive building.
He continues walking until he gets to the reception desk. The secretary is on the phone.
| ‘WWE Secretary’ Sarah | “Yes... no, it’s Judgment Day... uh huh... tomorrow night... alright... OK, thank you.”
She hangs up the phone and rights down a phone number. She then looks up at Goldberg.
| ‘WWE Secretary’ Sarah | “Hello, Mr. Goldberg. What can I do for you?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Actually, I was wondering if I could speak to Shane McMahon. Is he in right now?”
Sarah glances at her watch...
| ‘WWE Secretary’ Sarah | “I’m afraid he’s still out to lunch. But he should be back momentarily... you can wait right over there.”
Sarah points in the direction of the waiting area as Goldberg nods and heads in that direction. He sits down in the black leather couch and waits patiently. After a minute or two, Goldberg leans forward and picks up the latest WWE Magazine off the glass coffee table. On the cover shows Shane McMahon and Stephanie with the words POWER STRUGGLE as the title. Goldberg flips through a couple pages until he gets to an article about him and Triple H. The article highlights the Goldberg-Triple H feud and talks about in depth details about it. Goldberg turns the page and sees a picture from Backlash with Goldberg doing a body slam to Chris Jericho.
Then suddenly a familiar voice is heard in Goldberg’s ear...
“Goldy! What a coincidence!”
Goldberg turns around and sees none other than Chris Jericho standing behind him. Goldberg groans as Jericho walks over and sits on the couch facing Goldberg. Jericho puts his feet up on the glass coffee table and puts his hands behind his head, comfortably.
| ‘King of the World’ Chris Jericho | “So, Goldberg, what are you doing here?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “I’m here to talk to Shane.”
| ‘King of the World’ Chris Jericho | “Shane? Well, I just got done having lunch with him! So, is this the way you’re getting ready for your big match tomorrow night?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Trust me, I’m ready. And how are you getting ready for your match, Mr. King of the World?”
| ‘King of the World’ Chris Jericho | “Oh please! Get ready? I don’t need to get ready! I’m facing Buff Bagwell! But what I really wanted to tell you was that I really hope you win tomorrow night... cause then I will have the pleasure of giving you the shortest title reign of all time when I beat you in eight days on RAW!”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Heh, that’s a good one. I hope I win, too, so I can beat you again!”
| ‘King of the World’ Chris Jericho | “It... Well... UGH!”
Jericho, now furious, gets up and walks away, without saying another word. Goldberg laughs to himself as Jericho slams the doors shut. Then Goldberg hears Sarah call to him.
| ‘WWE Secretary’ Sarah | “Bill, Mr. McMahon can see you now.”
Goldberg gets up and sets the magazine back on the table. He heads towards the elevator and presses the top floor, Shane McMahon’s office.
Scene 2 ~ Backing up the Devil...
Goldberg walks out of the elevator and knocks on the large wooden door. The door says WWE Chairman - Shane McMahon.
| ‘WWE Chairman’ Shane McMahon | “Come in...”
Goldberg opens the door and shuts it after him. He walks in and sees Shane McMahon sitting behind his desk.
| ‘WWE Chairman’ Shane McMahon | “Sit down.”
Goldberg takes a seat before beginning to talk...
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “First Shane, I want to tell you that I am not going to be held responsible for what happens to Triple H at Judgment Day. Whatever happens to him, he has asked for it by screwing me out of my title. Shane, I have so much pent up aggression inside of me and it’s all about to explode... and I cannot and will not be able to control what I do. Triple H has been running his big mouth for way too long and it’s time somebody shuts him up once and for all.”
| ‘WWE Chairman’ Shane McMahon | “I completely fine with that. After all, Triple H is Stephanie’s husband.”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “I also came here to say that I even though I hate your guts, I really hope that the Corporate Alliance wins... I really hope that you win. I hope you beat Stephanie and put her and Triple H and the rest of the Supremacy in their place. Shane, I just want you to know that I am behind you... Triple H and Stephanie have cheated me one too many times and I will not let it happen again. So I just wanted to tell you that don’t win for the Corporate Alliance... don’t win for me... win for the fans... win so the fans don’t have to listen to Stephanie’s whiny voice anymore... and win so the fans don’t have to see Triple H’s big nose anymore either.”
| ‘WWE Chairman’ Shane McMahon | “Hmm... well, this certainly is a surprise, Goldberg. But yes, I will win. I will beat my sister, Stephanie. And you’re right, I won’t do it for you... I’ll do it for... myself. I’m as sick of Stephanie and Triple H as you are so I really hope you also win, Goldberg. When Judgment Day is said and done, their will no longer be a Supremacy.”
Shane smiles, but Goldberg just gets up and walks out, slamming the door behind him.
Scene 3 ~ Future Career Choices for Triple H...
The scene opens up in a locker room, still at the WWE Headquarters. We see Coach along side of Goldberg.
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “I am here with the #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Title, Bill Goldberg. Goldberg, first of all, let me ask you your future plans...”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Well, Coach, once I win the World Title at Judgment Day, I plan on going to RAW the next week and defeating the Living Legend, Chris Jericho. Then I will go on and defeat the next challenger and the next challenger and so on. Unlike my last reign, my next reign will be long. I will prove to each superstar that I am the best by beating those who think they are the best. I will be put into the Hall of Fame next to the retired Shane Douglas, but I will have had a longer reign as champion than him. You see, Coach, for my future I am predicting nothing but greatness. I have worked my ass off my entire life to get here and now I will enjoy what I have earned.”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Speaking of Jericho, he has been running around saying he will get a title shot just one week after Judgment Day. Do you think there is any truth to this? Will you be willing to grant that title shot?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “I have no idea if Jericho will really get this title shot or not. But one thing is for sure, I will gladly accept his challenge. I have beaten Jericho just a couple of weeks ago and I will do it again... only this time it will mean I will retain my title. Jericho, you remind me of another arrogant blond jackass... oh yeah, Triple H! Jericho, you think you are the best then why the hell aren’t you the champion? Why the hell haven’t you been champion in the past? I’ll tell you why, it’s because you’re good... but you’re not great. Sure, you are one half of the Tag Team Champions and you are the Intercontinental Champion... but that just means your good. Like I said before, there’s a big difference between good and great... you’ve just yet to realize it.”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Triple H has been saying that you are an embarrassment when you go on talk shows such as Howard Stern... what do you have to say about that?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Embarrassment? That’s funny because when I’m on, I get the highest ratings. You want to know why Shane McMahon sends me to promote Judgment Day? It’s because the fans love me. They can’t stand you Triple H, so why the hell would they want to watch you on the Howard Stern Show or any other show for that matter? The answer is they don’t. Do you think that the fans care that you’re the World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H? In their eyes, I am their World Heavyweight Champion. They know as well as you do that you screwed me at Backlash. If it wasn’t for that, I would still be the champion... but don’t worry, Triple H, since you want to be on talk shows so much, then maybe you can make your own for your next career after I end yours at Judgment Day!”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Triple H said that he’s sick of you crying that you were screwed at Backlash. He said that he took it like a man when he was defeated at Wrestlemania...”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Heh... do you want to know why Triple H never mentioned his defeat at Wrestlemania, Coach? It’s because he was beat fair and square. There were no excuses for Triple H to use to explain his loss. I, on the other hand, was screwed. Triple h just wants me to stop saying that because he doesn’t want to be reminded that he didn’t win fairly... that he isn’t the true champion. Triple H, it’s funny cause you are the biggest whiner of them all, and yet, you are accusing me of whining. I’ve got it, Triple H, in your next career, you could be a comedian! After all, it’s quite funny all the crap you are making up these days! Triple H, come Judgment Day, the jokes are all over. There will be nothing funny what I do to you in that middle of that ring. Well, it might be funny... in a sick and sadistic sort of way...”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Hunter said that he will not just sit back and let you rip him apart like you’ve been saying...”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Whoa, whoa, whoa! Who said anything about him sitting back? I know that he will be fighting back to the best of his ability... but that doesn’t change the fact that I will rip him apart. You’re going to fight with the best of your ability, Triple H? Well, that won’t be good enough. You’re going to need all of your tricks to beat me this time, Hunter. And even then, you are going to have one hell of a time doing it.”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Triple H said that he got his title shot two months later...”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Two months later?! Triple H, I know counting is quite hard, but it was one month later. That’s right, after I beat you at Wrestlemania, you got the very next title shot at the very next pay-per-view. And I’m supposed to wonder why you don’t cry over you loss at Wrestlemania? It’s cause you had that rematch already planned out! Like I said the other day, Stephanie is Triple H’s free ride straight to the top. Stephanie, don’t you realize what Triple H is doing? He is using you, just like he uses everybody else... he is using you for one thing... he is using you for your power. But I congratulate Triple H for actually manipulating Stephanie into thinking he loves her. Triple H loves one thing and one thing only... power. It’s the thing that he craves. And he would do anything for it... anything but working his way up to the top like me and the rest of the WWE Superstars have to do.”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “What do you think about the Supremacy’s seventh member? Stephanie said he may win or debut at Judgment Day... Do you have any ideas who it will be?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “You know, Coach, I don’t know and I don’t care. Whoever is stupid enough to join the Supremacy is obviously not a threat to me. Whoever it is better not even think about interfering in my match with Triple H or there will be hell to pay! I’m not kidding when I say this... don’t even think about coming to the ring with Triple H, cause I will spear your ass straight to hell! The Supremacy getting a new member just means one thing... that there will be just one more member for me to take out!”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Much to the fans disapproval, Triple H declared that he did not cheat to beat you at Backlash. Do you disagree with him?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Do I disagree with him? Coach, I have said each and every day that I would be standing before you as the World Heavyweight Champion if Triple H hadn’t cheated. He can deny it all he wants to, but the whole world saw it. They know what Triple H did. Triple H, you can blame it on Jericho... but I know the truth. The truth is that you and your little slut, Stephanie, screwed me and I will not let it happen again. This time it is not a triple threat match... this time it is simply one-on-one. No distractions... no detours... no road blocks... just me and you to finally decide who’s the better man!”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Once again, like so many times in the past, Triple H has talked ill about the fans. Do you still admire the fans?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Of course I admire them. They are the foundation of this business and they are the foundation of each and everyone of the WWE superstars. Each and every night I go out there with one goal in mind... to entertain the fans. I respect and admire the fans that stand out in the freezing cold... or the blistering hot just to get tickets to see their favorite superstars do what they love doing. The fans spend their hard earned money to see us and for that, I am thankful. I have sat here and talked about my hardships I have had to encounter to get here, but to tell you the truth, none of it would have been possible if it weren’t for the fans who come out each and every night and give their overwhelming support. Triple H, you know damn well that you should be on your hands and knees thanking the fans for all your luck and for all your success you have had as of late.”
| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Well, I don’t have any other questions. Anything else?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Triple H, that title you have been carrying around is not yours. You know damn well to who it belongs to... and it sure as hell is not you. That title belongs to the true champion, me. But it’s ok, Triple H, you can hold it for the time being it. Actually, I encourage you to hold it. Never let it go, Triple H. Take pictures of you and your title. ‘Cause in just over twenty four hours, those pictures will not be possible. You will have no title to snuggle up against... just that ugly slut, Stephanie. That title will be in the hands of the new champion... a champion who will respect it... a champion who will be true to it... and a champion who will defend it each and every night. Triple H, you are beginning to feel that same feeling you felt the night before RAW... that same feeling the night before Wrestlemania... that same feeling the night before Backlash. You know that feeling of which I speak of... that feeling of nausea... that feeling of abdominal pains... that feeling of pain. And you are beginning to taste a certain substance. A substance in which you have tasted on many different occasions. That substance is red and it trickles down your head... it’s called blood. That feeling of pain and that taste of blood are all a sign of one thing... a sign that your time is coming up... a sign that you are NEXT!!!”
Goldberg pushes the cameraman out of the way and walks out without another word. The scene fades to black...
