Goldberg has done it... by beating two men at the same time this past Monday night, he has proved that he still has it. He has proved that he is currently just as powerful as he was back when he was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. He has proved that he is still the single most dominant superstar to ever grace the WIW... or has he? For a new power has emerged... a power who claims to be unstoppable... a power who claims to be the one man who can finally end Da Man. Two giants with just as big egos will lock up to once and for all end the dispute of who is truly unstoppable.
Scene 1
" Da Man is Ready... Is Batista? "
The scene opens up right where it left off... in Goldberg’s locker room where Josh Matthews has just gotten done interviewing Da Man himself. Goldberg closes the door as he turns around and walks to the bathroom. He stops when he is in front of the sink and then proceeds to look into the mirror.
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Batista, I am ready for this match... more ready than I will ever be. I am ready both physically and mentally. I have trained at the gym each and everyday since Monday. And at night, I prepared myself mentally by thinking about what I need to do to get the job done. Make no mistake about it, this will be a tough match. Batista is a strong individual who has set his goal to defeat me. But that goal is one that he will never accomplish. I will go into this match one hundred percent... giving it my all and not hesitating for a moment. I know that if I hesitate once, Batista will capitalize on the distraction and get the momentum in his favor. It can’t happen... it won’t happen. But it won’t just be me against Batista, one-on-one. There will be a solid steel cage surrounding the ring... a cage that will be used both as a wall to provide no escape... and as a weapon to unleash a pain like no other. I have fought in rings... cages... cells. And I have dominated in all three. Batista does not have that experience like I do. And come Sunday, that will show when I climb out of that cage leaving behind me a broken body. Batista, get ready... get set... ‘cause you are next.”
Goldberg stares down the mirror before walking away. The camera stays focused on the reflection in the mirror as the scene fades to black...
Scene 2
“ BATISTA, YOU’RE NEXT! "
The scene opens up once again in Goldberg’s locker room, where he is now doing arm curls a seventy-five pound weight. Just then the same faint knock that was heard earlier is heard once again. Goldberg drops the weight and looks up.
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Yeah... come in.”
The door opens as Josh Matthews walks in. Goldberg gets up and walks towards Josh.
| ‘Not Tough Enough’ Josh Matthews | “Picking up right where we left off... a couple days ago, Batista said that he will reveal you as the fake you really are. What do you think he means?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “He said I try to act all big and tough... heh, I let my actions speak louder than my words, Dave. I don’t try to act big and tough... I just am. In reality, Batista, you are the one who is faking. You come in here to the WIW and tell everybody you are this big, mean, unstoppable machine... but you haven’t done a damn thing but attack me from behind. You tell people that you are a demon in disguise... yeah, like we really believe that. Batista, you need Flair to sit there and tell you that you are great and this and that... but Flair is full of it. He has been feeding you lies since the minute he has talked to you. Dave, I will expose to the world that you are nothing but a talker. You can talk shit about how you will dominate the WIW, but when it comes down to it... you always come up short.”
| ‘Not Tough Enough’ Josh Matthews | “What do you think about Batista telling you that the fans no longer stand behind you?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “What... now I’m confused. Earlier, somebody spit in my face because the fans cheered me and now they are no longer behind me? Batista, don’t you get it yet? You really don’t do you? I don’t need the fans... I don’t need a manager like Ric Flair... I don’t need a tag team partner like Triple H... all I need is my power and I will always... always get the job done. Batista, like I said before, the fans can be cheering me... they can be booing me... but the fact still remains that I will beat your ass and there is not one damn thing you can do about it!”
| ‘Not Tough Enough’ Josh Matthews | “What must be done to tame the beast known as Batista?”
| ‘Da Man’ Goldberg | “Whatever needs to be done will be done, Josh. I did not become a professional wrestler because I wanted to lose to rookies like Batista. I have trained my whole career for challenges like the one that is facing me this Sunday night. I will inflict pain like nobody has ever seen before, Josh. I am ready to face the demon and I am ready to kill the demon. Josh, Batista is about to experience extreme pain and anguish like he has never experienced in his entire life. He thinks that he made a smart move by attacking me... heh, heh, heh. That was the single biggest mistake of his entire life, Josh. This Sunday, the world will watch as Batista’s career ends before it even starts. Blood will be spilt, Josh, I know that. But it won’t be my blood that stains the ring mat... I might emerge victorious with blood all over myself... but it won’t be my blood. It will be Batista’s blood. I will make the self proclaimed demon in disguise beg for mercy. He will beg me to send him straight back to where he came from... straight back to hell. Only I will block out those pleas to stop. I will show no mercy and I will not let up until I have my hand raised by the referee. Then and only then will I even consider stopping the assault. Batista, this is a big match for both our careers. You have the chance to take out a legend in WIW history. These chances don’t come very often. But Batista, I will be coming at you full throttle and I expect none the less from you. So I hope you have been training and preparing yourself. ’Cause I want a fight like no other. I want to be tested. There are certain superstars that have begun to think that I have lost my wrestling ability... and now I have been given a chance to prove them wrong. Batista, you claim to be a demon... but I can still take you down. I don’t really care what the hell Batista is... come Sunday, all he will be is NEXT!”
Goldberg stops as the scene slowly fades to black...
Scene 3
“ They're back... "
The scene comes back just a few minutes before Heat Wave begins. The arena in Toronto is sold out. The fans' anticipation mounts as several chants are started. However, one chant rings out louder than all the others... a very surprising chant...
It appears the fans are standing behind Goldberg once again... wanting Goldberg to rid the WIW of all demons. They're back...
