Forward ~ The Goldberg Era Continues...

One man has proven why he is Da Man... he has killed all the rumors... he has silenced all the nonbelievers... However, bigger and better challenges await... and only time will tell if he truly is unstoppable... Does the end draw near?... The end does draw nearer... but for who? All shall be known in only a few days... this Monday Night, hell will be unleashed... and there’s no way to escape. THE HELL IN A CELL IS COMING...

Scene 1 ~ Enduring Physical Hell...

The scene opens up in a dark warehouse. Many workers are seen, apparently constructing some sort of structure. Sparks fly as metal is cut in half for the structure. It is obvious this is no ordinary structure... it is the very same steel cell that will be placed over the ring on RAW this Monday Night when Kurt Angle takes on Goldberg for the World Heavyweight Championship.

A door swings open as Goldberg walks into the warehouse. He looks around at the workers constructing the cell. He then focuses his attention towards the camera.

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Here I am, Kurt... at the place where the very same cell that will be around us this Monday night on RAW is being created. Kurt, you are witnessing men working around the clock to create hell itself. They are working to create something for the sole purpose of inflicting pain and suffering. These men probably feel guilty for creating such a structure that will only be used to deal out punishment... but we have brought this on ourselves, Kurt. No... Shane McMahon has brought this on us.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Kurt, I don’t really dislike you... but you are standing between me and my title and anyone who does that is an enemy to me. Now Kurt, this Monday night on RAW, you will just be in the wrong place at the wrong time in the wrong match. I will no be accountable for my actions... after all, somebody could get seriously injured... no I take that back, somebody will be seriously injured. This is the chance Kurt is willing to take just to try... and try is the keyword... just to try to take this World Heavyweight title away from me. Kurt, you are risking everything... everything you have ever accomplished from your 1996 Olympic Gold Medals to your Intercontinental Title reign to your Co-World Heavyweight title reign... you are throwing away everything to try to stop an unstoppable force. It’s suicide, Kurt.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “And Kurt, this whole match is all about enduring physical hell. Whoever can endure... whoever can outlast the other will become the sole champion. Kurt, that person who will be left standing will be me. Make no mistake about it, I am coming into this match with no mercy... I will show absolutely no mercy, Kurt. Some people may call me sick because of what I do to you. But you know what? To hell with those people! I will do whatever it takes to retain my World Heavyweight title and if it means beating you from pillar to post... beating you to a bloody heap... or even risking your life, then so be it. This World title means more to me than anyone could imagine. This is my life... this is my livelihood. Without this title, I am no different than anyone else. But with it, it shows that I am always on top.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “In just a few short hours, Kurt and myself will be walking into a solid steel cell. There is no telling what the audience will witness. There is no telling exactly what will happen. Blood may be split... bodies broken... but one thing that will happen is pain will be felt. I can go on and on and on all day long about how we are walking into hell, but it doesn’t prepare us one bit for what is coming. And I think... no I know that both myself and Kurt Angle will never ever be the same again.”

Goldberg walks over to a worker and taps him on the shoulder.

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “What do you think about this structure in which you are creating?”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “Two words... a steel hell... well, three words I guess. But you get the point.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Anything else to say about this steel hell?”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “Well, the top five reasons why the Hell in a Cell is the most feared match in the WWE.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “You got the five reasons?”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “Damn right, I do!”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Alright then...”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “The top five reasons why the Hell in a Cell is the most feared match in the WWE... number five... there is no aid. Even if a competitor has willing friends, there’s no way into the Cell to lend a helping hand, making this match a true one-on-one competition.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Do you hear that, Kurt? That means there will be no help from your Corporate Alliance and no help from the Supremacy. We are on our own now, Kurt. This truly will be one-on-one... no outside interference. But Kurt, I am fine with no help from the Supremacy... but are you fine with no help from your buddy Shane and the rest of the Corporate Alliance? Will you be able to stay focused knowing that there is no help for Kurt Angle? The answer is you won’t, Kurt. When I am ripping you apart limb from limb, there will be no one to stop me... and no one to help you.”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “Number four... the cage itself. This cell can be used as a weapon itself. The cold steel of the Cell lends itself to many forms of attack, like race-rakes across the Cell, high-flying maneuvers, and tight squeezes.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “This is where it gets bloody, Kurt. Just imagine the pain you will feel as your face gets ripped along that steel... just imagine your warm blood dripping down your forehead into your mouth. You ever taste blood, Kurt? I bet you haven’t. Tasting your own blood has a certain effect though... you get this rush of adrenaline. It pushes you on to not give up. But Kurt, when you taste your blood tomorrow night on RAW, you will have no other choice but to give up.”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “Number three... there is no escape. Unlike just a normal cage match, competitors are literally surrounded in every direction. In a cage you can climb over the top or through the door. But in a Hell in a Cell, there is no refuge over the top or out the door. Wrestlers have to win the old fashioned way, in extreme conditions.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Like I said before, Kurt, you will have no where to run... no where to hide. We are stuck together till the very end when one of us cannot go on any longer. Until that moment, we are trapped in hell with no way of leaving. The cage match was created to limit your escape... but in a cage, you can climb out the door or climb over the top. So the WWE decided to create something that would force you to fight without escaping... they created hell. And come Monday night on RAW, Kurt, hell will have absolutely no escape.”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “Number two... there is unlimited weapons. Now you might ask how since there is a cell surrounding the ring. Well, I’m talking about beneath the ring apron. Who knows what a wrestler might find beneath the ring apron. Maybe a screwdriver, some thumbtacks, a sledgehammer... or maybe, just maybe, he might pull out the notorious 2X4 wrapped in barbed wire!”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “That’s right, Kurt! I am a former Hardcore Champion... I know what it’s like to take it to the extreme. But, Kurt, you have no idea what that means. You do not know the kind of weapons one could find underneath that ring apron. Maybe I’ll just pull out a chair... maybe just a table... or maybe I will pull out that 2X4 wrapped in barbed wire that Kevin was talking about. The very same 2X4 that Mick Foley made famous in WWE history for beating people senseless with. Imagine the barbed wire clinging to your forehead, ripping out your flesh. Can you imagine the pain that you would feel, Kurt? It would be unbearable to say the least. So, Kurt, for your sake, you better hope we stick to tables and chairs.”

| ‘HIAC Worker’ Kevin | “And now, the number one reason why the Hell in a Cell is the most feared match in WWE... acrophobia. Acrophobia is the fear of heights... in the past, circumstances have led to competitors finding their way above the cell itself, where ever step is crucial. No WWE fan or superstar will ever forget Mick Foley’s death defying plunge through the cell and deep into the ring mat itself at No Way Out in 2000.”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Well, Kurt... acrophobia. Do you have acrophobia, Kurt? Are you afraid of heights? Even if you’re not, once your standing on top of that cell looking down, you will feel a panic sweep across you. Kurt, the top of the cell is really the most dangerous part of the Hell in a Cell. Do you remember when the Undertaker threw Mick Foley’s body off and sent it crashing through the announcer’s table? Do you remember Undertaker chokeslamming Mick through the top of the cell? But most important and most memorable was at No Way Out when Mick Foley was actually slammed through the top of the cell and threw the ring mat. Kurt, Mick has never been the same since any one of those falls.”

Goldberg walks away as Kevin goes back to work.

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Well, Kurt, time is ticking away. Our highway to hell is almost over... we’re almost there. Can you feel the heat from hell? Can you feel the sweat from that heat trickle down your face? Maybe that sweat is from the heat... or maybe it’s because you’re nervous, Kurt. And you really have no reason not to be. This is not a game, Kurt. This will be a life changing experience no matter what the outcome. Kurt, it’s almost time... I’ll see you in hell!”

Goldberg walks out the door as the camera goes back to the construction of the steel cell. The camera slowly fades out...

Scene 2 ~ I’m The Problem!

The scene opens up at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, the place where hell will be unleashed on two men in front of the world. We see Coach walking along a long hallway, stopping next to a locker room door. He knocks and the door swings open to reveal Goldberg.

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Hey Goldberg! How about a quick interview?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Alright.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Great... first of all, Kurt has said that you are the biggest threat to the Corporate Alliance and so he will have to eliminate you, putting you out of action. What are your thoughts?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Heh, Kurt is damn right that I am the Corporate Alliance’s biggest threat. Hell, I’m everyone’s threat. When you think of a guy who nobody wants to face, it’s me. But as far as Kurt putting me out of action... ha ha! Kurt, this Hell in a Cell will probably put us both out of action... but I will still walk out the World Heavyweight Champion. Kurt, I don’t think you realize what we’re fighting in... it’s hell, Kurt. We’ll be lucky to not end up in hospital beds right next to each other. The only difference is that the World Heavyweight title will be draped across the chest of one of us... and it will be me, Kurt.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “This has been a question on a lot of people’s minds... if this match is so dangerous, then why do it? Why put yourself through all that pain and suffering?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “It’s all for one thing, Coach... the World Heavyweight Championship. It’s not good enough for me to be known as the Co-World Heavyweight Champion. When I look at the ranks, I am no longer just number one... I am tied for first place. That is not good enough, Coach. I strive for perfection and I will not tolerate Kurt Angle hanging on my back. I am risking a lot in this match, but it will all be worth it when I cover Kurt for the 1..2..3! At that moment, no matter what I happened in that cell, it will be worth it to be announced as the sole champion... as the only World Heavyweight Champion.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “It seems like Kurt is quite wrapped up with this whole Undertaker/ Sable situation. What do you think?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “I think Kurt is a fool. If Kurt wants to truly win this match, nothing but the Hell in a Cell would be on his mind. He is not focusing on the real problem that blocks his way... and that problem is me. Kurt is making all these plans for next week and Vengeance, but the fact remains that he will have to survive tonight just to carry out those plans. Kurt, I am focused... more focused than I have ever been. I know the task at hand and what must be done, but Kurt, you do not. You are too busy with Shane, Sable and the Undertaker, and their baby to even give a thought about the flame is about to engulf you... hell!”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Well, a match between Sable and Kurt has already been booked for next week on RAW. What do you think?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Like I said, that’s if Kurt isn’t still in the hospital. That’s if Kurt hasn’t been declared with a career ending injury. Kurt, you might want to get through our match before thinking about next week and the pay-per-view. And to tell you the truth, I don’t think Kurt will be able to make it to RAW next week. The Hell in a Cell has a reputation of sidelining athletes for many weeks and Kurt will be no different.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Kurt and Sable have brought up the fact that Sable has beaten you...”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “What the hell?! Sable has never beat me... I was cheaply attacked by the Corporate Alliance backstage and Shane declared Sable as the winner. But that match never even began... the opening bell never even rang. A match has to start before it ends, Coach, and our match never started... therefore, it never took place. You hear me, Coach? Sable VS Goldberg never happened!”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “That’s a good point, Goldberg. Now RAW tonight will be a huge event. Not just the Hell in a Cell, but all the other matches, too. Many of the matches will be Supremacy VS Corporate Alliance. What do you predict for the outcomes of these matches?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “There’s no doubt that the Supremacy will reign supreme tonight on RAW, Coach. First, Brock Lesnar will defeat the Big Show and send a message that the Television Champ’s days are numbered. Then, Eddie Guerrero will ride his low rider all over the Has Been Kid, Shawn Michaels. And to top it off, Goldberg will win back his World Heavyweight Championship when he defeats Kurt in the Hell in a Cell.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “I have heard that an ambulance will be in attendance for the end of the match. Does this make you feel any better?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “How could it? Are the EMT’s really going to jump in the ring in the middle of the match if one of us is hurt bad enough? No, the answer is no way. Yeah, maybe we will get help after the match... but we will need the help during the match. During the match is when we will experience the continuous pain and blood. Nothing will make me feel better until I am declared as the winner and I am awarded my World Heavyweight title. Then, and only then, will I feel better.”

| ‘Cocky Interviewer’ Coach | “Well, that’s all I have... is there anything else?”

| ‘Da Champ’ Goldberg | “Yeah... Kurt, it’s time to forget about Sable and her baby. I am the real problem. We are heading into hell, plain and simple. You can make jokes about it and talk to AC/DC. You can have your theme music be Highway to Hell... but there will be nothing funny about what I will do to you once that bell rings. My theme music will be my theme music... because it pumps me up. It gets me going... it gets the adrenaline pumping and flowing through my veins. And when the match is over, you will once again hear the thundering of my theme music as I get my hand raised and I am declared as the victor. Kurt, get ready... this will not be for the faint of heart, so I hope Kurt’s family isn’t watching when I punish him. Kurt... YOU’RE NEXT!!!”

Goldberg stares into the camera as if he was staring down Kurt Angle himself. Then he walks back into his locker room, slamming the door behind him. The camera fades out...
