Prologue: When I Was Born..I Was Born The Man!..And When You Step on That Apron Your Ass Becomes Part of The Game That I'm The Man In!
Fade up the Sin Wrestling logo.
In any profession, whether it be athletic or educational, police work or criminal, there will always be one person that stands out above all else. That one man will set the standard that all others will be held to and more often than not, that standard will never be met.
"I AM..... THE MAN!!"
To be compared to the likes of Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair can be one man's greatest achievement. Meant as a compliment, to the best of the best, it is an insult. In the mind of the best, there is no comparison. There is no one on their level and there never will be. It becomes the career of the best to remain the best, to hold off the top of the mountain and fight away all those who seek to claim it as their own. To fight back the threat of elevation for all they are worth.
The theory of elevation is a myth creamed over by internet fan boys. No matter who is on top, the complaints about lack of elevation are evident. For years, they will scream that a man deserves a world championship push and when he receives it, he immediately becomes public enemy number one and another up and comer takes his place as the internet golden boy. Because of the lack of elevation, the fans coined the term "glass ceiling," meaning that the mid-carders could look up through the glass ceiling and see the main event but could never quite reach it. Constantly bumping their heads into the ceiling with no sign of it giving in.
Sid was never the internet golden boy.
Sid made his presence known in Noah Japan for the first time.Immediately upon Entering NOAH, began an intense feud with Kenta Kobashi...Whom he Defeated In an incredible Semifinal match for the NOAH Championship. He eventually went to the finals of the NOAH championship, but lost to Ikuto Hidaka
Although Sitting around and relaxing after his loss, had its perks, this did not suit the self-proclaimed "Man." It was time to return to Wrestling and claim the one belt that should've been his from the beginning. Sid made his appearence in FMW, made his intentions known, and crushed Hisakatsu Oya in his first match .
Sid made the challenge to Hayabusa, and made the promise that the FMW's Show at the Tokyo Egg Dome would be the site where a new Champion would be crowned. Sid and Hayabusa wrestled an epic match, lasting upwards of forty minutes, before Sid hit the Death Trap and put the legendary performer's other foot in the grave, staking claim to his first world championship. "The Man" had finally reached the pinnacle of his career, 5 years of struggling in Pro Wrestling paying off once and for all. Sid's career was riding high .
And then it all came crashing down.
Atushi Onita took over FMW from Hayabusa and his first act of business was to strip all champions of their titles with the intention of crowning new ones later in the night. Sid didn't agree with this method and refused to take part. He threw down the FMW Heavyweight championship and walked away for what he thought would be forever.
Onita failed. FMW was broken. Hayabusa returned to pick up the pieces and announced that forty-five men would do battle in the main event of a PPV entitled Brawl for all . Forty-five men would do battle and one man would walk out with the Frontier Martials arts Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship. After his first reign had ended so suddenly, Sid had to show them that they made a mistake by robbing him of his championship. He entered himself in the match. Everyone immediately wrote him off as hype. A man FMW had washed out before he could become washed up. Many heralded Komazawa Olympic Park Gym as the place where a new contender would step up and take the crown. Veteran, hungry superstars the Likes of Vicious Vic Grimes,Stan"the Lariat"Hansen And Big Van Vader came from all over to try their hand in the main event.
In one match, Sid climbed the ladder to the very top of Frontier Martial arts Wrestling. Eliminating wrestler after wrestler after wrestler until he was the last man standing. His mask broken, blood staining his features, Sid eliminated The Sadistic ECw Legend Sabu to win the FMW championship for the second time.
Forty-four other men came from all over the world to win the title and "The Man" turned every single one of them away as if they were children playing a man's game. Sid showed every single one of them exactly why he was the man to beat. Sid established once and for all that he has broken through that glass ceiling
And now With Sid firmly back in place, panicked. The wrestlers were threatening to quit if something wasn't done about the living, breathing, ass kicking machine known to many as Sid"The Man"Frankenstein. People were getting concussions left and right thanks to Sid and his arsenal of Ring side Weapons, until one night, Hayabusa pulled the trigger that would almost kill Sid's once and for all.
The match was for the FMW World Championship. Sid versus Mr. Gannosuke versus Mammoth Sasaki. Sid dealt out punishment left and right, taking advantage of them like they were first match rookies until Willy "Hido" Takayama and Tetsuhiro Kuroda arrived at ringside on the orders of Hayabusa, distracting Sid long enough for Gannosuke to sneak a pin on Sasaki to steal the world championship.
Sid cornered Ganosuke,Takayama and Kuroda and his ensuing revenge was so fierce, so brutal, so very, very awe inspiring, that Hayabusa had no choice but to Fire Sid before lives were lost.
For nearly three years, the wrestling world had continued on without Sid and the wrestlers have let out a sigh of relief. Elevation has occurred in his absence and new stars have been born. It wasn't until Sin Wrestling opened its doors that Sid decided it was time to make another impact. In a promotion ruled by Corey Page,Sid felt it was his duty to show them what real talent was like.
After sitting back and watching the business evolve without him, he decided that it was time to return, to show the up and comers that they are not the Man.
Revenge. It is the one thing on my mind. It is the one thing that fills my every thought. Sweet, sweet revenge. Rest assured Mike Phantasy, your days are numbered. Day in, and day out, I think about nothing more than destroying you, paying you back for the bit of luck you had at illusions when you defeated me.And soon, I will have that revenge.
I still don't fully understand why You turned on Chambers , but I have my thoughts on that. I'm positive that it was for your benefit. You used him to get what you wanted, and then tossed him aside when he was no longer needed. I will deal with you.
But for now, there is someone else I must deal with. Or. more accurately, three. Gwenivere Jordan, Regan Chambers, and Hardcore Timmay. All three are you are the next in my path. ANd you three will be the next to be destroyed.
The scene opens up outside the SW headquarters building on a bright and sunny day. In the distance, the loud roar of a motorcycle can be heard, obviously getting closer. After a bit, a black motorcycle with blue flames pulls up out front, and Sid Frankentsein steps off the back. He makes his way into the building, where a receptionist is sitting. She looks at him as he appraoches.
Receptionist: Can I help you.
Sid: I'm here to see Corey Page.
Receptionist: Are you Mr Frankenstein?
Sid: That would be me.
Receptionist: Good, you're finally here, Mr Page been chomping at the bit in there waiting for you to show up. You'd better get back there.
Sid: Like I'm worried about making him wait......
Sid walks off towards Page's office, and the receptionist just rolls her eyes. Sid walks up the door, knocks once, and then throws the door open without waiting for an answer and walks in. Page is sitting behind his desk with his feet up, just glaring at Sid. Completely unfazed, Sid sits down in a chair across from him.
Corey: Well, I'd say its about damn time you showed up.
Sid: I had other matters to attend to. Matters far more important that you could possibly comprehend.
Corey: More important than your job?
Sid: You wouldn't dare fire me. I make you too much money.
Corey: Well, I'll give you that. you're a good draw. You still hold a pretty loyal fanbase from your stint in the Fmw. But you know what? I have a LOT of talent here that can make me just as much money as you.
Sid: Then why didn't you fire me Corey? Put me out of your misery?
Sid: Because as long as your under contract to me, I can put you through all the hell I want. Besides, I enjoy seeing Phantasy kicking your ass.
Sid bolts up out of his chair and slams his fists down on Page's desk.
Sid: You're walking a fine line, little man. Cross me, and you will regret it for the rest of your days.
Corey: Sit down Sid, before I throw you out. You really don't frighten me. Keep it up, and I'll have to add that desk to your tab.
Sid: My tab?
Corey: Yeah. As in, the fine I'm handing out to you to cover the SW's cost for all the damages you did to that hotel the other night! Not to mention the costs of settling not one, not two, but FOUR separate lawsuits out of court! I'll say this much, you certainly did a number on those fans and guards.
Sid: You know what? Do it! Slap me with as many fines as you want, it doesn't make a bit of difference to me. Money is simply a material object. Something that matters not.
Corey: Well that's a good thing, because your paychecks are going to seem a lot smaller for a couple of months. Now, since that's settled, why don't you get the hell out of my office? I've got other business to attend to. You know, more "important" business.
Sid glares at Corey, but turns and walks towards the front door. But as he's about to walk out, he stops dead in his tracks. He removes his mask ,then suddenly reaches down, picks up a chair against the wall, and lauches it through the window!! Corey looks on in shock, and Sid turns with a sadistic smile on his face.
Sid: Add that to my tab as well.....
Later That Day....
Later that day, we find ourselves in Flame's warehouse. Flame is sitting on a large, ornate chair, as Sid kneels before him.
Flame: There's no need The elder Gods know that they forever have your undying loyalty.
Sid: Of course.
Flame: Now, about what we have discussed.
Sid: Yes. I still have to say, that I don't know if this is the best idea. I mean, these people--
Flame: Please, Sid. Trust in my decision. This is the path I have layed for out for us. Do you not trust me?
Sid: You know I do. And I will follow whatever path you desire for me too.
Flame: Good. Then you will follow this one. Everything will go down Sunday night, exactly as I have foreseen it. It will be the beginning of a new era.
Sid: Indeed it will.
Flame: Good, Sid. Now please, leave me. I have nothing else for you, and you should take some time to rest before Sunday.
With that, Sid turns and makes his way out of the front door of the building. Outside, Trinity is standing. As Sid walks by her, she has a concerned look on her face.
Sid: What is it, Trinity?
Trinity: I am sensing.....apprehension from you. Do you not believe that the path Flame has chosen for us is the best possible path?
Sid: I do not know if it is wise, but I trust in his decision. If he says this is what we must do, then it is what we must do.
Trinity: Always remember that, Sid. He wants only what's best for us.
As she says this, she turns, and enters the front door of the building. As soon as she is gone, Sid turns and looks off into the distance.
Sid: Yes. But this isn't the first time he's acted rashly....
The scene opens inside a small, sparsely furnished apartment. The apartment is little more than your basic hotel room. Everything in one room, with a small bathroom off to the side. In the room we see a small bed, with a large man laying on it. Off to one side is a table, with a small television on top, and in one corner a dresser In the tiny kitchen area is a small stove, a few cupboards, and a refrigerator. That is about all the room contains. The man in the bed begins to stir, and finally rises up out of bed. He is still wearing a pair of dark jeans from the night before. He rubs his eyes to adjust to being awakened. He then gets to his feet, stretches, and makes his way over to the small television. He flips it on, and then turns and moves towards the dresser. It is then that we can see the mans face. It's Sid.
Sid goes over the the dresser, and pulls out a simple white t-shirt. He puts it on, and then turns back to the television as the words "Breaking News" flash across the screen, and the scene changes to a small newsroom.
Reporter: Ladies and gentleman, this is Wolf Blitzer coming to you from the CNN studio in Atlanta Georgia. Our field reporter, Christian Anampour, is on location with a breaking news story. Christian?
The scene switches to that of a female reporter on location somewhere in a remote desert. In the background are several State Patrol vehicles, as well as several Fire Rescue vehicles, and other authorities.
Christian: Thank you Wolf. I'm standing here in a remote piece of desert located approximately 10 miles south of the City of Las vegas,Nevada . It is here that, at approximately 8:30 this morning, that local and state police uncovered this grisly scene.
The picture of the reporter changes to that of an shot filmed earlier in the day. It shows a large crane pulling what appears to be the burnt wreckage of a car out of a nearby ravine. The reporter continues to talk, doing a voice-over of the scene.
Christian: At approximately 7:45 this morning, a call came into the Nevada State Patrol branch office in Las Vegas. Some tourists, apparently on their way to a vacation in Death Valley,California reported a strange smoke cloud rising in the distance, coming from the desert. With their help, the police were able to locate this wreckage.
The picture changes to that of a Nevada State Patrol officer doing an interview. Across the bottom of the screen, it reads "Sgt. Bill Patton"
Patton: At this time, we know very little about this situation. All that we can tell you is that this wreckage has only been here a short time, and that there was one casualty. Right now, we have no other details than that.
The picture changes back to that of the female field reporter.
Christian: Since then, I've been told that the body found in the wreckage is that of one Allen Wilson, a local man. At this point, the authorities are remaining very tight lipped about this situation, although I have been able to learn that they do expect some sort of foul play. Apparently the victim, Wilson, was believed to be involved in some sort of Cult of Wiccans. This Cult, calling themselves Team Sadistic, are just recently formed. Very little is know about this group, but it appears that the authorities have been watching them for sometime. No one here will comment as to whether they believe that this cult may have had something to do with the death. As soon as we learn any further details, we will report them. Stay tuned to CNN News for these late breaking developments.
As the scene on the television changes back to the program that was interrupted, Sid quickly grabs his jacket from a nearby chair and hurriedly heads out the door.
Flashback: Later that day.....
The scene opens up in a familiar looking warehouse. It is the warehouse that has been converted into a head quaters. It's fairly early, about 10:00 in the morning. so there are very few people around. Flame is there, sitting on his chair, while several other people go about different tasks. The screeching sound of a large metal door opening, and then the banging sound of it closing is followed by the sounds of approaching footsteps.
Flame: I've been expecting you Sid.
Sid: I know. I am sorry that I am late.
Flame: It's quite alright. Please tell me, did you take care of Allen , as we discussed?
Sid: I did. That Bastard earned the punishment that he so justly deserved. However, I fear that there may be a problem.
Flame: What is it?
Sid: It's the authorities, my lord. They discovered Allen's and his car early this morning. They know that he was aligned with Us. Apparently, they have been watching us for quite some time now. If they discover the truth about what happened--
Flame: Do not worry about it, Sid. Everything is already taken care of. We will have no problems with the authorities of this state.
Sid: Excuse my insolence , but how can you be sure? Wouldn't it be smarter to move away from this town, to a place where the authorities are unaware of our presence?
Flame: I will not run, because we have no cause too. I have been aware of the authorities probes into our business for quite some time now. As soon as I learned of them, I began taking steps to insure that we would be left alone.
Sid: What steps?
Flame: The authorities only receive that information that I want them to receive. There are several key officers that they believe have infiltrated Us. When in fact, it is the other way around. Their officers are under my payroll. They tell their superiors exactly what I want them to tell them. The authorities know nothing.
Sid: What about their investigation into Allen's death? They already know that foul play was involved.
Flame: While it's true that they know Allen's death was not an accident, and they also know that he was affiliated with Team Sadistic, we still have nothing to worry about. If anything in their investigation leads them to us, they will quickly be diverted away. My friends will make sure of that. Allen's death will be put into the book as yet another unexplained death. Then, the file will simply be tossed aside, and the case will be forgotten. We have nothing to fear.
Sid: That is good to know.
Flame: But I must ask you , why all these questions? Your mind seems troubled. Do you not trust me?
Sid: You know I do. You know how badly i wanted to avenge my Sisters death..You Know I trust you with not only my life, but with my soul as well.
Flame: Excellent Sid. You must learn, if you are to be at my side, and serve as my head disciple, that I already have everything under control. Trust in me, and you will find eternal happiness.
Flame: Good. Now, I don't need you for anything today Sid. Why don't you go and rest? While your body may not be weary, your mind is troubled. Go rest, and ease your mind. Take care of all the doubts that lie within.
Sid: I will. Thank you.
With that, Sid nods to Flame. He then makes his way to the back of the building and outside. The sound of his motorcycle starting up is heard, and then slowly fades into the distance as the scene fades out.
We find ourselves in the same small, sparsely furnished room that we were in before. This time, however, it is late at night. The room is almost completely black, save for one solitary ray of moonlight streaming in through the window, and illuminating Sid as he sleeps on the small bed. Sid tosses and turns. While his body is asleep his mind is obviously very awake. And his dreams are obviously very troubled......
In this dream, Sid finds himself standing, alone, in a barren desert. It's late at night, and the only source of light is a bright, full moon in the sky. Sid looks around at his surrounding, and then up at the moon. A look of realization crosses his face.
~I have been here before. It was that night.....~
As these thoughts go through Sid's head, a sound behind him catches his attention. Sid whirls around, and finds himself looking up a very familiar scene. He is watching himself, standing by Allen's car.
~How can this be? How can I be watching MYSELF do this?~
The scene continues to play itself out, just like it did that night. Sid watches himself reach into the car, start it up, and put it into gear. The car goes over the cliff, and then explodes in a ball of flame. Sid watches as he, the past version of him, stands be the edge of the cliff for a moment, watching the car burn, and then he walks off. Sid then walks to the edge of the cliff himself.
~I have to see it. Just one more time.....~
Sid walks as close to the edge of the cliff as he can. He then peers over the edge, and down to the bottom. However, when he looks, there is nothing there to be seen!
~What?!? What is going on here?
Suddenly, a rustling noise catches Sid's attention. Sid whirls around to see Allen standing behind him! Or at least, what used to be Allen Wilson. The figure standing before Sid is very badly burned, almost unrecognizable. The figure shuffles towards Sid, one leg bent at an odd angle.
~Allen!! But you....you're dead!~
~Yes I am, Sid. I'm dead because of you!!~
~I was avenging my sister, that is all~
~Liar!! You did avenge her, but that is not the only reason you did what you did. You enjoyed it!! You enjoyed slicing my throat! You enjoyed tossing me over the edge of this cliff, and watching my body burn!!~
~ I had to do it. You filthy murdering!!~
~Flame would have never known that I was planning on betraying him if it hadn't been for Trinity. You did it because you wanted me out of the way. Avenging Your sister had almost nothing to do with it Sid, you also did it for yourself!~
~You know what? You're right! I did enjoy it!!~
~Flame is a master of deception, and of mind games, nothing more!!~
~Maybe I am Sid, in your eyes. But at least my soul will be able to rest in peace! I admitted to myself long before I was murdered how wrong i was in all the Sins i've done in this world! I made peace with my self.~
~YOU DESERVE TO ROT IN HELLll!~
~Believe what you will, Sid. Just remember that this time, it is YOUR soul that is on the line!~
With that, a grin spreads across the remains of Allen's destroyed face. He begins to laugh. It is a resounding evil laugh. Then, suddenly, the figure in front of Sid explodes! Sid flies backwards, and lands flat on his back. He shakes his head, then gets to his feet. There is no evidence that there had just been an explosion. The ground and everything around remained untouched.
As Sid looks around, a strange glowing off in the distance catches his attention. Sid begins walking towards it. As he draws closer, he sees that the glow is coming from something burning. It is then that he realizes the that object burning is a cross. A cross with someone strapped to it. As Sid reaches the cross, he realizes just who that person is.
Sid stands there for a moment, watching the image of attached to a burning cross. He is then suddenly aware of someone at his side. He turns, and stumbles back as he sees who it is.
Sid looks on at the figure before him, almost not able to believe what he is seeing. It is definitely form of his father. But something is wrong. It is his chest. The chest area of the shirt he has on is completely soaked with blood. Blood that appears to be fresh....
~How is this possible?
~Anything is possible, Sid~
~Dead? Yes, I know. What gave it away? The blood?~
~I am here to warn you Sid. This path you are on, will only lead to your own demise. You are in danger, Sid.~
~What do you mean?~
~It's Flame, Sid. He is leading you straight into the depths of hell....~
~You're wrong. Flame is my ally.~
~Sid cares only for himself. He has you fooled . It gives him power over you, and that is exactly what he wants!~
~I don't believe you. You can't be my father. You're nothing more than a figment of this dream. Just like Allen was. Just like this image of Phantasy is.~
~Are you sure of that, Sid?~
~As sure as I am that is My Ally!~
~If we really are nothing more that figments of your dream, and of your mind, then what does that say? It says that you already have these doubt ins your mind. These doubts that tell you that Flame is exactly the kind of person I am saying he is. That he is nothing more than a Con man, who manipulates people for his own personal gain.~
~You are trying to manipulate me right now, by using the memory of my father in this way.It will not work.i'll be Flame's right hand man til i go to my Grave!~
~That's exactly where he will lead you Sid. Just have a look.~
The image of Sid's father motions, and Sid turns to look upon the burning cross once more. This time, however, instead of Phantasy being strapped to the cross, it is Sid himself! Sid looks on in shock.
~That is what lies in store for you Sid, if you continue to follow Flame blindly. He will lead you straight into the depths of hell!~
Sid turns to look at the image of his father, but he finds that he has disappeared. Sid looks back at the cross, but it has disappeared as well. Sid is once again at the edge of the cliff, and Allen's car is once again before him. This time, however, the image of his past self is nowhere to be found.
~And now, I find myself back at the beginning....~
Sid approaches the car in front of him. There is a form lying the drivers side seat, with it's face facing away from Sid. Sid looks into the car, and notices something is different.
~This isn't right.~
Sid reaches in, and takes ahold of the form in the drivers seat. As he does, the head turns to face him. His throat has been cut, just like that of Allen. however, it is not Allen Wilson he is looking at. Staring up at him from the car are the cold, lifeless eyes of himself........
So I have been placed on a new path of life. Where with this new path lead me? Only time will tell. However, this is the path that Flame has told me that The Elder Gods have chosen for me, and I will follow it with unwavering loyalty. It is what is required of me, and so it is what I must do.
But before this all begins, I must deal with you three. All three of you will fall at my hands! You will feel my wrath as I destroy each and every single one of you! I hope you have made peace with your god, because you have all been judge by me!
The scene opens up showing a small television. Currently playing is an evening news report. Up in the corner we see a picture of a burnt, wrecked car along with the words "Murder Investigation"
Wolf Blitzer: It has been nearly Several days since the Nevada State Patrol discovered the burnt remains of one Allen Wilson in the remote Nevada desert. About ten miles to the south of the City of Las vegas,Nevada ,authorities came upon the burning wreckage of Mr. Wilson's 1991 Cadillac. After pulling the wreckage out from the bottom of a ravine, police were shocked to discover that the remains of Mr. Wilson firmly strapped into the drivers seat of the car.
Despite the fact that they were able to identify the body, a subsequent autopsy turned out very little else as to the cause of the death. Despite this fact, authorities still suspect foul play was involved. It has been revealed that Mr. Wilson was associated with a what many claim to be a Cult calling themselves Team Sadistic. Very little is known about this group, but they are believed to have several connections in very powerful places.
As the investigation into this murder started, it was believed to be only a matter of time before the police brought down This Cult , and brought the murdered to justice. However, since the initial stages of this investigation, very little has been accomplished. Team Sadistic has almost been pushed to the side as not even a suspect in the matter. It is this fact that has many people in the community outraged. They believe that the police are dragging their feet on solving this case, and thus allowing a very dangerous element to remain. A lot of citizens are planning on bringing their grievances in front of the city council this evening, in an attempt to force a police investigation into the Cults activities. We will have more on this story as it develops.
We'll return to the CNN evening news, after a word from our sponsors
Scene fades to commercial
The scene opens up later that same day. It shows Sid walking out of his apartment building. As he goes up to his motorcycle which is parked out front, he is approached by a couple of detectives.
Sid: Can I help you?
Detective 1: We hope you can. Are you Sid Frankenstein?
Sid: I am
Detective 1: Good. I'm detective Grogan, and this is Detective O'Connor.
The other man nods at Sid
Grogan: We're from The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and we'd like to ask you a couple of questions, if you don't mind.
Sid: Do I have a choice?
O'Connor: Well, as of now, we haven't been issued a warrant to bring you in for questioning. However, if you do refuse to answer our questions, I'm sure on can be arranged quite easily.
Sid: In other words, I don't have a choice.
O'Connor: Pretty much.
Grogan: What my somewhat blunt colleague here is trying to say, is that we would much rather you volunteer to help us than force us to bring you in for questioning. It would easier for you, it would be easier for us. Mainly because I don't feel like doing the paperwork for it. So, would you mind answering a few questions for us?
Sid: I'm listening.
O'Connor: Good, now where were you on the might of Octobner 29th of this year?
Sid: Depends on what time you're talking about.
O'Connor: Let's say around 2 A.M.
Sid: I was here, asleep.
O'Connor: Was there anyone here that can corroborate your story?
Sid: I said I was here, and I was asleep. I sleep along, so I seriously doubt that you will find anyone to back me up.
O'Connor: So that would be a no.
Sid: What do you think?
O'Connor: I'm thinking that you are without an alibi.
Grogan: Ok, ok. Calm down O'Connor. Mr. Frankenstein, let me make one thing clear here. We're not accusing you of anything right now, we're just trying to gather information. I'm sure you're aware of the investigation into the death of Allen Wilson.
Sid: Yes, I am.
Grogan: Well them I'm also sure you're aware that he had been linked to a Cult called Team Sadistic, the very same Cult that we have linked you too.
Sid: I'm aware of that too. What's your point?
O'Connor: Our point is, PAL, that we're watching you and your little group very carefully! And if you make even ONE wrong step--
Grogan: Damn it O'Connor! Shut up, and let me handle this!
Sid: Is this supposed to be that whole "good cop, bad cop" thing? Because if it is, I have to say, you guys are doing an absolutely horrible job.
Grogan: That's not it at all, Mr. Frankenstein. My partner here just has a very short fuse, which is one day going to cost him his job.
Detective O'Connor glances over at Detective Grogan, who just turns away with a very pissed off look on his face.
Grogan: All we're trying to do here is determine what might have happened to Mr. Wilson.
Sid: Has it occurred to you that maybe there was no foul play involved? Maybe it was something as simple as suicide? Allen wasn't exactly all there
Grogan: I take it that you knew Mr. Wilson then?
Sid: Yes, I did. As you said, we were part of the same Group.
O'Connor: I think the term we used was "Cult"
Grogan glances over at O'Connor, who reluctantly falls silent.
Group: What exactly is this group, Mr. Frankenstein?
Sid: We're all Christian. We seek Redemption in the Lord.
Grogan: So you're saying that you're basically like a religion then? That's all there is to it?
Sid: Why don't you tell me, Detective Grogan? It's no secret that you guys have been watching us over the last several months. So why the games? You know just about as much about us as I do. If you're trying to trick me into saying something, it's certainly not going to work. So get to the point.
Detective Grogan gets somewhat irritated as Sid mentions that he knows about the authorities watching Team Sadistic.
Grogan: Fine, fair enough. Do you know of anyone that would have wanted to hurt Allen? Perhaps someone in the group?
Sid: Not at all. Allen was well loved. Besides, Murder is not something that Flame teaches.
Grogan: Flame? I thought you said you were "Christians"?
Sid: That's exactly what I said.
Grogan: Yet you follow the teachings of this Flame?
Grogan looks a little bit confused for a second, before a look of realization comes across his face.
Grogan: Well then, Mr. Frankenstein, I think that's all we need from you for now. If we need anything else, we'll be in contact. Thank you for your time.
Sid nods at the two detectives. As Detective Grogan turns and walks back towards their unmarked car parked several spaces up the block, O'Connor approaches Sid.
Sid says nothing to O'Connor, just continues to stare him down. Detective Grogan turns around as he reaches the car, and notices the staredown between the two.
Grogan: Damn it O'Connor, let's go NOW!
Reluctantly, O'Connor backs down and turns away from Sid. He walks up the car, and gets in the passenger seat. Sid watches the whole time as the two detectives drive away. As soon as they disappear out of view, Sid reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a cellphone.
Sid:We have a problem.
Flame:i am aware, I have just been informed.
Sid: I thought our people were taking care of this....
Flame: Apparently there has been considerable pressure from Certain questionable authority figures to launch all new investigation into our operation. This has to be dealt with.
Flame: I want you to pay a visit to one Detective O'Connor tonight. It is my understanding that he is the main driving force in the department itself.I'll Fax you the Info on him .He is one Corrupt Son of a Bitch and If we take care of him, we take care of the entire problem.
Sid:It will be my pleasure.
Flame: I'm Sure it will.
Sid puts the phone into his pocket, and a grin spreads across his face as he starts to think about the task ahead of him.
Later That Night
The scene opens up in downtown Las Vegas, at night, outside a very expensive looking condominium building. Out in front, we see a large nondescript, black car pull up. The drivers side door swings open, and out steps Detective O'Connor. He climbs out of the car, and hits a button on his key chain, and the sound of a car alarm chirping is heard. O'Connor makes his way up to the front door of the building and walks in. He heads for the elevator at the far end of the hall. Once inside, he presses the button for the tenth floor. The elevator slowly rises, and after several minutes, stops and the door opens. He makes his way down the end of the hall, and goes into the door on the left. He swings the door open, and the apartment is pitch black.
O'Connor: That's funny. I could have sworn that I left a light on....
Detective O'Connor reaches over the the light switch to the right of the door, and flips it. Nothing happens. He flips it back and forth several times, but to no avail.
O'Connor: What the hell is with this? With all the money I pay for this place, you'd think they could at least make sure the fuse box was in working order!
O'Connor makes his way across the apartment to find his phone. He picks up the phone.....but there's no dial tone.
O'Connor: What the--
Suddenly, a large blunt object is brought down on the back of O'Connor's head. O'Connor crumples to the ground, but amazingly still conscious. The man who hit him grabs him, and drags him over to a the couch. He throws him down, then flips on a nearby lamp. The light comes on, and a groggy O'Connor looks up to see Sid standing over him.
O'Connor: Sid! I knew you were up to no--
O'Connor is stopped mid sentence as Sid backhands him across the face. O'Connor brings his hand up to check his lip, which has a trickle of blood running down it.
Sid: You will not speak to me unless you are asked to, is that understood?
O'Connor: Ah, go FUCK yourse--
Sid backhands O'Conor once again, this time harder.
Sid: Do you understand me?
This time O'Connor says nothing, just nods at Sid and glares.
Sid: Good. I knew you could be a reasonable man when given the right amount of persuasion. Now, I want you to listen to me, and listen to me very carefully. Do you understand?
Sid: Good. I'm here to tell you that this little investigation you plan on launching into Team Sadistic, and what connection there might be between us and the untimely demise of Allen Wilson is a very bad idea. If you do decide to go forward with it, rest assured you will be dealt with.
O'Connor: You can't seriously expect me to drop this investigation now that you've done this, can you? And even if I could, I'm not the one that has the final say in the matter. The chief is under a lot of pressure from the community. This investigation is going to go forward despite what I want.
Sid: You don't seem to understand me, Detective O'Connor. You see, we are not as stupid as you think we are. You are the main driving force behind this investigation, no one else. In fact, our sources have told us that the Police Department wants nothing to do with an investigation of this scale. They're more than willing to let us get by, to slip under the radar, so to speak, as long as we don't cause them any problems. So you see, O'Connor, if you let this go, everything will return to normal. After all what does the death of a Child Molester concern you?
O'Connor: You're mad! I Don't Care Child Molester or not You guys are involved with a MURDER! If you think that we're going to just let that go--
Sid: You will let it go. Or else.
O'Connor: Or else what? You'll kill me too? That's not going to help your case any. If I were to disappear, on the verge of this investigation going forward, it would just add fuel to the fire. My friends at the department will see to that.
Sid: You have no friends at the department,O'Connor. In fact, you're probably the most hated man there. Most everyone, including top LVMPD brass, wouldn't complain if something were to happen to you.
And i'll tell you another thing.I know all Your Dirty Little Secrets! Face it O'Connor, you don't have a choice in the matter.
O'Connor: You know what? Fuck you, Sid! You can't Intimidated me!This investigation is going forward! I'm going to make sure that you, and all your FREAK friends are taken down, just like you deserve!
Sid: I'm sorry then, Detective O'Connor.
O'Connor: Sorry for what?
Sid: For what I'm going to have to do.
With that, Sid reaches down, grabs O'Connor by the throat, and lifts him up. He tosses him across the room, and into a wall. The impact shakes several pictures off the wall. O'Connor slumps to the ground, and before he has a chance to recover, Sid picks up him up again, this time carrying him over to a large window overlooking the city.
Sid: I hope you have made your peace with your god, O'Connor.
O'Connor: No! No, you can't do this! I'll call off the investigation, I swear!
Sid: It's Too Late for Repentance. But you're right about one thing. The investigation will be called off. It's going to be called off in the light of your suicide.
O'Connor: My wh--
Suddenly, Sid tosses O'Connor through the window! O'Connor plunges ten stories to the ground below, landing on the roof of his car. The top of the car crumples in as all the windows shatter, and the alarm goes begins to go off. A young lady walking by screams as this happens, and several pedestrians rush over to the scene, screaming for someone to call 911. Sid watches the scene of chaos for a moment before turning and leaving the apartment.
The scene switches to that of the same small television screen from earlier. The words "Breaking News" flash on the screen as the same news anchor appears.
Wolf Blitzer: Ladies and gentlemen, this is Wolf Blitzer From The CNN Studios coming to you live with a breaking story. About 45 minutes ago, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detective Mike O'Connor was found dead.
Police on the scene report that O'Connor apparently committed suicide by jumping from his tenth story apartment window to the ground below. O'Connor body crashed through the roof of his squad car sitting parked out front. Several pedestrians witnessed the incident, and one was able to contact the local authorities.
The police have reported that a suicide note was found inside O'Connor's apartment that linked him to several criminal organizations in the Las Vegas community. An investigation is being launched into O'Connor 's ties with these organizations, and it is believed that this very investigation will lead police to the truth about the murder of one Allen Wilson , which happened about one week ago. Detective O'Connor was about to launch an investigation on that very case, with The alleged Cult as his main target. However, it is now believed that this investigation was nothing more than an attempt to throw authorities off, with the real murderer being one of detective O'Connor's contacts in the Las vegas underground.
