Recap

(SCW thought they had punished me, got me on the ropes and finally got the upper hand, foolish. I have simply had time to think, time to consider my next move, sitting here in this jail cell has given me the solitude I long to have. Deadly Intent failed to perform this week past and that means the simpletons of Supreme Championship Wrestling will need to pay for there stupidity, pay for there idiocy of fighting back starting at Rise to Greatness. The big SCW pay per view and the one event where Deadly Intent will stand before the rest of the federation, with power, strength and riches. Faust will win against Oleska and I will be bought to power in the SCW alongside my partners, we together shall change the fates of SCW forever, we shall rise to new levels and take SCW with us and not Oblivion, SCW nor Explicit Content can do a thing about it.

Meanwhile our own individual stories develop to a coming of an end, Mono Loco fights James Toreno in a match he shall not lose, for the repercussions of such an embarrassing defeat shall speak for themselves every time he begins to fail to perform, Mono Loco shall fight, he shall scratch and he shall dig deep to take Toreno down and make Rise to Greatness another successful night for Deadly Intent and our short term goals.

Meanwhile, Cid faces Acid Burn, the man with many names Vs the king of meep, many believe they have seen the outcome of this bout already, but don't count the eggs of a chicken before they have laid. Cid Turner is a force waiting to be unleashed and behind that stupidity and idiocy that SCW had droned into his head, that simpleton of entertainment they have trained him to be there is a man with a fountain of talent and just like Josh Lesnar, Cid Turner will defeat Acid Burn and show the world what he can really do? If he doesn't? He deals with me so that he is taught a lesson that he never forgets.
Yet this story is not finished, Cid Vs Acid Burn might be coming to an end, but Blair's story has just begun and if Acid Burn thinks he will just walk away from the pay per view and be finished with us in his life, he is mistaken. His revenge has not gone unnoticed and his actions to our dear beloved Blair have not been ignored, he claims I made him Acid Burn again, that I made him who he screams to the heavens that he has become, then so be it, he can be Acintu, Acid Burn or Conan O' Brien for all I care, he has stepped over the line and his actions against my people is an act of war, a war he shall not win.

The coming of Blair is upon us? God help Acid Burn

Yet, one more match stands at RTG, one of the greatest importance to the future of Deadly Intent, to the future of the last living legend, the future of me. At rise to greatness I take on Jay Gold at an event that will either crown a new legend, crown the man to take the torch from my hands and cast me into the pits of retirement, or will be the place were the man who has remained at the top of the business for so long returns to the tops of the company and the business as a whole and shows the world that the time of his reign, the time of his era, is long, LONG from over.

The question many ask is one that I have asked myself many, many times since the moment I set this match in stone when I attacked my opponent, is Jay Gold really the man to take my torch, to stand in my place? Debatable, but the common answer is no, no he isn't, there are many better then him and many who will always be better then him and Jay Gold and his weakness for the women in his life is yet another reason and another downfall for a man who once had so much potential, but for me, his loss to Orlando Cruze in the SCW Vs ULW tournament rounded him up completely. Talented, but not anything special, he is a man who can produce the goods to make a good match, to put up a good fight, but he is not a man who can come out on top all the time and when he meets certain opponents, opponents such as myself, he, like the rest of the world already knows his time is up and the match before him is already out of his hands.

At rise to greatness, Jay Gold falls from grace and the world recognizes Lethal Weapon once more.

Deadly Intent? Godly presence? That is simply the way it works and nobody, nobody, will be able to stop us after Rise to Greatness)

Different Target, Different Rules

(For weeks Fury had watched Weapon, he had hoped to have the husband and wife in his sights at the same time in a bid to kill two stones with one bullet so to speak, but it didn't look like it was going to happen, at least, not without a helping hand. However all this time watching his nemesis had seemed to take his attention away from Sheryl and her little boy, the spawn of Weapon.
Sadistically, Fury had dreamt of killing the child, shooting a bullet through his head as he screamed in fear of the young assassin who once associated Weapon to himself as a father. That was a fact few knew about, Fury had come as close to love with Lethal Weapon as he had to anyone, he had been the dad Fury never had, a man to look up to and admire. But this woman, this child, they had taken it all away from him and the furious feelings of jealousy and envy pulsated through his body as he stared at the little boy in his scope, the finger on the trigger of his scoped rifle trembling as it works hard not to push down and fire a round from its barrel.
Letting the rifle drop from his face down to his side he just stared with his own naked sight across the open green landscape of the Canadian border at the small country house where the family had been staying, it was large, covered with security, just enough for Fury to have a good time without worrying about his own safety and was out on its own, solitude to any residents that could possibly be in the area. Fury could see why Weapon bought this property, it had everything Weapon loved about his life, solitude, space and the asset his new life had made important to him, riches.

He growled under his breathe in anger before leaning back on a rock that sat upon a top of one the distant hills looking over the lands and the house, he could see the family in the walled off garden of there home, the area flowered and pretty to stare at, not even Fury could say otherwise. But it was a garden made of material goods filled with material people who had no idea about life and the harshness of the world, so damn them, damn them to hell.

The anger in the soul of this boy was immeasurable, yet all of it right now was focused on a man he hated for not showing him the love and respect to stand by him during his youth and watch him grow into maybe the best assassin of his time and possibly better then Lethal Weapon ever was? He was abandoned by the only person he thought cared about him, what was to come would be a revenge that nobody would forget, a measure of torture to make Lethal Weapon see what he has done to the life of this boy.

Mental torture was something Fury knew all to well, he had spent his entire life alone and as any shadow would tell you, the temptation to have a coffee in a diner, have friends to watch films with and to enjoy theme parks like the rest of society was constant and painful on the heart, but the truly strong would not fall for such material instructions, it made them weak, it gave them something to love about life and one of the most important things about being a shadow, about being truly good at what you do, was that you were never scared of anything, that death was simply another stage of life. A beginning rather then an end, this is what Fury understood, that heaven awaited him and he would be marked as an arch angel of the lords defense against the faces of evil, that was his belief, his motivation, that's what pushed him to fight and kill those as he did? He was doing good for the people of the world and his reward would be a VIP seat in the ministry of heaven, his sacrifice was to remain in solitude from the rest of the men and women that walked the streets of the world? The torture on his mind now however, was his own self conscious, was he accepting the contract to kill this family before him because they spawned evil, or was it because of his own need for revenge and redemption?

…He mustn't doubt himself, he was doing the right thing, 'the right thing' and though he had a personal hatred for the family before him, he was still killing evil for the good of the world…

…He was doing the right thing.

A hole in the heart.

(Sheryl had spent days upon days wondering how her husband was, she had not heard from him in such a long time and the only way for her to know he was alive was to see the SCW show week by week and make sure he arrived at the arena, however, what she had seen had made her at least a little bit more content about his condition then she had been originally. Deadly Intent, a new group, not like the High Rollers in the respect that the High Rollers was a group made up to bring in new talent an train them at the highest level, a group set to make waves in the industry to help raise champions who might one day take the torch from there trainers to lift the industry higher, it was a group made for the best of the business.
However it seems Lethal had given up on the idea, Oleska had fired him and the High Rollers in the past and it was the light he needed to see that the business didn't care about its own future anymore, only its present, thus Deadly Intent. A group of wrestlers already established and high in the ranks of this confusing Invasion that saw two to three different armies coming together in a battle for dominance, Lethal's included.
However the extent of his first week of destruction and then his arrest on this weeks show gave Sheryl the inclination she needed that everything was a strange kind of normal in his life and that although they were apart, he was coping ok.

She wished she was the same, that she was coping fine with their temporary split, but between her personal work and the issues in ULW at the moment, she knew she wasn't. The media had stated that Lethal and Sheryl had broken apart, that they were no more the glamorous couple they had seemed to always be, how wrong this was, but what could she say? She couldn't tell the world that her husband use to be an ex-assassin that was suppose to kill her but didn't because he fell in love with her instead and decided to become a wrestler instead to be with her. All this only to course a new assassin to be sent out to kill her and her family not to mention her husband, who would possibly believe that? If she was honest, they'd laugh at her and say she was insane, until the moment they saw a bullet fly through her head that was.

No, she just had to accept what was being said and put up with it until she heard from her husband and heard the news that things had been dealt with, it would come, there was no doubt of that, he always dealt with things and he always made sure they were safe. But for some reason, she worried briefly this time, every time she thought about it, what if he didn't call? What if it was never sorted? She'd rather die then be without her husband, they had been through so much together, she couldn't lose him now.

She took a drink from the table in front of her and gently let it slide down her throat as she watched her little boy play in the garden across from her with some of his toys that he had bought with him from there house in New York when they first got tipped off and told to move.
Deep down when that first call came, she knew what it was about, she had thought it strange for years that nobody had come for her after Lethal Weapon and now that they had she knew her husband would have to resolve it from the top, something he didn’t want to do, something she didn’t want him to. But it was her family or them and Sheryl was quick to make a decision about that problem, had it been just her and Weapon, then maybe she would have not cared to run anymore, but they had a little boy now and facing from problem head on was not going to be the way to do things.

She closed her eyes for a moment, blinding herself of the hilled settings around her, the great fields off the border of Canada, before opening them again to see Scott stand up and look at her with a smile.)

Sheryl:
You ok hunny?

Scott:
YEP! Can I have a drink?

Sheryl:
Sure, I should be getting on with some paperwork anyway.

(Standing up she stretched, her top rising to show her toned and tanned belly before giving her boy a smile and taking his hand before she leads him back into the house before heading through a small unit room and into the large kitchen where she could see a lineup of juices sitting on the side.)

Sheryl:
So what one do you want trouble, Orange? Blackcurrant? Apple? Or something else?

Scott:
I’m not trouble, silly mummy!

Sheryl:
Hmm, I don’t know about that…So what drink do you want?

Scott:
Ermmmm…..Apple.

Sheryl:
Apple it is.

(She took the squash and poured it into a glass before adding water, however as she stood there looking out the window towards the back garden and the scenery surrounding it, fear touched her. A ever so tiny glint from one of the hills in the distance caught her attention, something most of society would just ignore. But her husband had showed her the signs, made her prepared for any outcome, before her she knew was a man wanting to kill her, what she was now confused about, was why hadn’t he? He would have had a perfect shot with them both in the garden…Damn it she needed Lethal right now, just to hug, cuddle, love, damn it! As if she didn’t notice a thing she hands Scott his glass and just kneels down to his height with a smile.)

Sheryl:
Scott, you need to do something for Mummy?

Scott:
Ok, YEP!

Sheryl:
I need you to go up to your room-

Scott:
What? Why? I didn’t do anything!

Sheryl:
I know you didn’t darling, but I need you to do this for me, your not in trouble, mummy just needs to do something…

(Scott just lowered his head as if he was going to cry.)

Sheryl:
Please, how can mummy wrap your special gift for you if your down here?

(Suddenly his head lifts and he stands with a smile from ear to ear.)

Scott:
A gift huh? Why didn’t you just say so…

Sheryl:
Oh and Scott…

Scott:
Yes mummy

Sheryl:
Do NOT go near your windows, sit on the floor and stay away from the windows.

Scott:
Ok…

(Scott just ran up the stairs as Sheryl pulled her phone out of her pocket and just opened her cell before pressing down a button to ring one of her speed dials, with a little bit of ringing finally someone answers.)

“Hello?”

Sheryl:
Mark, It’s Sheryl.

“Mrs. Gray, what a pleasant surprise, how can I help?”

Sheryl:
I need you to get my young man a gift, something expensive, your son is the same age, get him something your son likes, I can’t explain why I am not doing it myself right now, but if you could do that for me and drop it at the address I am going to email you in a second, do you understand?

“Yes Mrs. Gray…When can we expect you back here at the offices though, if you don’t mind me asking?”

Sheryl:
As soon as I can get there, I’m running my pieces for ULW here at home and the Big Brother plan is on schedule, so as far as I’m aware we don’t have no worries, correct?

“Correct Ma’am”

Sheryl:
Good. Now I have to go, the address will be emailed to you, I need you to get here, drop the present at the doorstep, wrapped up and then I need you to go again, it’s a long story.

“Sounds it, well, no problems Mrs. Gray, ill be on it now, top priority.”

Sheryl:
Thank you Mark, I knew I could rely on you. Goodbye.

(Sheryl just closed the cell and sat down in front of her laptop to send her address out to Mark, the scope in the sun had worried her, for that is what she saw, the assassin was here, he was at the house and she didn’t want to take any chances, she still didn’t understand why he hadn’t took the shot, but as far as she cared, an opportunity lost, is an opportunity gained. She knew he was here, he had no idea he got caught, Advantage Mrs. Gray.)

Houston, We have a problem…

Officer:
Weapon, seems you got bail, time to leave.

(Bout time as well, I had thought out my plan twice over and I know what Deadly Intent needed to do to be successful and that started with the downfall of SCW and the separation of ourselves and the baggage holding us down, Oblivion knew what was coming anyway, they couldn’t possibly have believed a team of our ability would permanently align ourselves with the halfwits in there invasion attempt, please, without us, they wouldn’t have an invasion.
The officer, fat and overweight from his diet of donuts and coffee opened the cell door as I stood up and brushed myself off before cracking my neck and arrogantly walking past the man toward a large desk where another Officer stood emptying a bag of the belongings I had on me at the time of arrest.)

Custody Officer:
One watch, one bag of clothing and accessories, one lighter, one packet of cigarettes, one set of wrestling attire, a bottle of water, a wallet with ID and cash and some passport sized photographs of your wife, Sheryl Gray, anything I have missed?

Weapon:
Doesn’t sound like it.

(I took my stuff from the table and just smiled at the cold faced CO as he stared at me like I was your average piece of shit celebrity who thought he owned the world, what the man didn’t care to take into account, was I do own the world, I am the Lethal Weapon damn it and I knew deep down in me, that if I wanted to, I could have broke my free from that station or any other. I didn’t spend my life as an assassin without learning the basics like that! After picking my stuff up the other officer opened the door for me with a keycard leading me back into the main lobbies of the police station, he stood beside me, not in front or behind, not clever really, if I was to start something with him, he would be in the least favorable position, lucky man that I didn’t want that so close to my match with Jay Gold.

I finally reached the last door after climbing some stairs to reach it and just gave the officer a quick nod as a slick looking man in a suit stared at me with a smile, his dark hair was combed back and stuck in place, all of his hairs leading to the back of his skull, he extending his hand which I shook before turning to stand beside me as the two of us walked out onto the stations front entrance, the sun beaming hot on our flesh.)

Weapon:
What took you so long to get me bail Marshall?

Marshall:
Seems Oleska was really pushing to keep you in the cell over RTG, he doesn’t want you back!

Weapon:
I bet he doesn’t, who could blame him, I have complete immunity from the system and I am using it every step I can to manipulate the SCW and the idiots inside it. After the Pay Per View ill be the official owner of the federation, something not even my beloved wife could achieve and I do so without lifting a finger to Oleska, instead, Faust does it for me.

Marshall:
Meanwhile, you have Jay Gold.

Weapon:
Indeed I do my good man, which reminds me, have you done everything I requested? The jail cell has really knocked time back for me here, did you arrange the camerman for my promotional with Jay?

Marshall:
I did, got you a interviewer as well.

Weapon:
Ok, fuck off with the interview girl, send her to talk to some lame ass like Josh Lesnar or James Toreno, ill just have the camera thanks. Where is it?

Marshall:
Just down the path sir, they are waiting for your call.

(I smiled and looked at the lawyer for a moment before walking down some steps onto the public pathway where I could see a camera crew lined up and waiting for me to prepare, the young female interviewer was also waiting for me, smile on her face.)

Weapon:
Then let’s get this shit started shall we.

(We reached the camera crew and as expected, the silly female twat standing with them jumped in a smile from ear to ear and a presence of arrogance and confidence rolled into a ball, one I’d enjoy throwing back in her face.)

Female:
Weapon, thanks for-

Weapon:
Give me that!

(I grabbed the mic and violently pushed her onto her ass, her backside whacking the concrete floor hard as she just looked at me with a shocked expression on her face, silly bitch, shouldn’t have got in my way, but now was not the time to be laughing at her, now was the time to be concentrating on the job ahead, on the man ahead, my opponent, a man called Jay Gold, a lady loving, fan adoring, 80’s nobody. I smiled at the description of him in my head and then looked down the lens of the camera as my lawyer helped the young reporter back to her feet.)

Weapon:
War is a funny old thing, it’s meant to be a battle between two sides fighting for what each one believes is right, but like in every example, it’s the innocents, the ones in the middle who suffer the most, Jay, you were an innocent, you done nothing wrong to me, you done nothing you could or should have been punished for, yet, we both know that don’t we?
So why did I attack you, why did I take a 2x4 to your head and leave you lying in a pool of your own blood on Breakdown a couple of weeks ago? Simple really monkey nuts, you see I do what I like, when I like and what I done to you on Breakdown was send a message to the entire federation, through oblivion, through SCW and through Explicit Content. I was telling the world that Deadly Intent were here and aiming for the best the company had to offer and on a more personal level, I was showing the world, that even someone as high in the company as Jay Gold, can be used by me as no more then a stepping stone, no more then a push for something greater and after Rise to greatness, that something greater will present itself right at my feet in the shape and form of Faust…My Deadly Intent member and the man who will soon hold all the cards to the SCW power chain and guess who will be second in command…ME.

So maybe now that gives you a little more understanding, maybe now you have a slight better perspective of why you are in this bout with me, in this fight that many before you have lost, that many after you will continue to lose, because I am no ordinary opponent, I am no chip of the old block, I am unique, individual, a rare commodity in our business.
I have competed for over a decade in this game, over 10 years, I have done everything, I have set the standards and I lifted the bar this game had to offer long before its time, a height nobody present day can even reach…I am the be all and end all of this business and Jay Gold, the media may find it beneficial to fill your mind with a sense of false belief, but let me answer the question for you that they have all been asking…

Can Jay Gold take the mantle and beat the legend Lethal Weapon, can Jay Gold be the man Weapon passes the torch to?

Your answer Jay, NO! You are not half the man I am and never will be, you cried and moaned over your bitch being crippled a few months back by City Boy and let the truth be known, she should never have been at ringside in the first place, so Jay, stop blaming everyone else for your Martha being knee capped, it is YOUR fault, you are responsible for her safety if she is going to be at ringside with you, so YOU should begin taking the blame for the fact that you didn’t help her when she needed you!

You’re an idiot Jay, really you are, I hope you didn’t believe the small hype you have been getting recently by the media circles, really I don’t, you are never going to be able to match up to me, NEVER, you let the SCW down against the ULW and that loss was a round up of the man you truly are, a failure, a screw up, a nobody with to big an ego and to much confidence and come the pay per view, I am going to rip the ego from your brain and the confidence from your heart, mix them together and shove them up your ass with the end of my boot…Why? Because it’s about time you learnt that Jay Gold is a nobody who will never make it to the top, not while I am here…You’re pathetic pal, PATHETIC!

(I turned to see my lawyer waving goodbye to the interviewer before turning to me with a sigh of relief, I just smiled wider before looking back at the camera.)

Weapon:
Rise to greatness, the biggest SCW pay per view of them all, the one arena, the one stage, the one event, where everyone is trying to give everything they have got to succeed, it is events like this that make and break a career because its events like this that crave the attention, the eyes of the world are staring upon you and the pressure is higher then ever and a true legend or legend in the making takes that pressure on board and over comes anything in his way, ANYTHING…

Are you one of them men Jay Gold? Are you one of the few who can take that pressure on and overcome anything? Even me? Even the great Lethal Weapon? And don’t offend me like Acid Burn and some of the other dipshit’s here did, don’t tell me you’re going to ‘try’ and beat me, hell if you’re not sure you can, just admit you’re going to get destroyed in the middle of the ring and the whole world is going to have to watch you get sprawled out by my spear as you succumb to a defeat on the grand stage…Some may ask if I’m playing to dangerous a game here, trying to boost your confidence, but when I beat you Jay, when I take you down, I want to beat more then your physical being, I want to destroy you mentally as well and I want you to know, that SCW…That company you fight for loyally, is no more, it is finished, done, over. Oleska has taken it as far as he can and after Rise To Greatness, he will be handing it over to Faust and myself so that we can show you how a job should ‘really’ be done.
Tell me Jay, when me and Faust become the heads of this company, will you remain loyal? Will you bow to us as your new bosses and employers, or will you simply rebel and make yourself and enemy and a target for us to destroy in due time? Decision is yours really, but I suggest you really consider going against us, wait until after our match, a fight against me once might be enough to make you realize the big mistake turning on us would be.

Jay, when people look at me, they say I’m old, past it, that I am to confident with to big an ego but when I look in the mirror, I see an experienced man with a lot of fighting history behind him and a lot more ahead of him and I see a man who has the right to have any attitude he has, a man who earned everything he has ever had and in turn has the right to call himself the greatest if he so wishes, because frankly, that’s what I am.
When I look in the mirror though Jay, I see one major difference, something that right now makes me feel naked, empty at heart, I see a lack of gold around my waist, a world championship to throw over my shoulder, so mark my words Jay…Come the PPV I will make yet another example out of you after you interfered in my match at breakdown and then when I have disposed of you, ill turn my attention to that title, to that gold and in no time my friend, you will see a NEW World Champion crowned…ME!

Jay Gold, you may have remained a mute till now, you may have said nothing till this very moment, but words are no longer important, the clock is ticking and the time is nearly up, in hours you will be facing me in the middle of that ring and by the graces of god, I hope you come out of it at least partly the same man, I’d hate to see your career end or flop like so many other big names when they have been destroyed by me…

…Goodbye Jay Gold, Your about to become my next victim.

(I just gave the camera a quick wink before turning to see my lawyer holding a door to the backseat of a smart, professional looking black hatchback, I stepped in and shuffled across as my lawyer sat in beside me and closed the door behind him before slowly the car begun to drive off, Jay Gold would speak at the last moments, that I knew, he always did wait till the very end of the sending time before airing his promotional, it is the only way he can get the last word in these days, but nonetheless I was ready and Jay Gold was going to be in for a mega surprise.)
