The scene opens up with the sound of hydraulic brakes hissing. The camera opens to show a semi sitting in the middle of a parking lot. An illuminated sign says “BP Truck Stop”. As the camera silently stalks throughout the area, various truckers; their wives, kids, etc., are seen heading into the rest stop for who-knows-what. The trucks align themselves to where, at his position, the cameraman can no longer see the main station. As the camera man begins to back-step up a small hill, the view gets wider, showing all of the gas-station’s area. A few seconds later, the scene jitters. The camera shakes as the cameraman tries to regain his sight on the scene. From behind the camera man turns a figure. The camera pans up to see the face of Rex Butler, starring down at the cameraman...
Rex: “How n ice of you to stop by. Kinda surprising, huh? Me, bringin’ you all the way out here; to a deserted parking lot, in the middle of Western California what could be going through your mind at this very moment? What thoughts do you have as you shove that camera into the face of a man that has so much to prove, yet, no time to prove it all? Will you consider yourself one of the lucky ones - those who do not have to feel my wrath, as I bring total destruction and unholy chaos BACK to Tekeley Wrestling Championships?”
“There are not many who can say their name’s are not associated with me, ruining their lives. And those few are so far away fromo the form of entertainment... that it seems, even unconsciously, I had a huge effect on their careers. Without getting into it too much; the only thing I can say is: take a list of all the people I’ve faced during my time in TWC. And when you look at that list, I want you to ask y ourself, “Where is he?”. I’m sure there’s been a lot of that going around TWC Headquarters, lately. And there should be. Because when they found out that “The Extreme One” was returning to TWC, they knew that starting out, TWC was going to be different from any other organization out there. But, I’ve seen who’s back in TWC, and it’s going to be my pleasure bringing pain and misery to every single person on this roster. And, just who, I’m sure you’re asking, will be my first victim? Well, it’s none-other then a familar face from about two years ago: Sneaky Pete.”
“Sneaky Pete and Rex Butler. We’ve been through a lot. But most of what we’ve gone through was during the old days of what is now a horrible mistake in my career: Brand-X. But that, Pete, was over two years ago. In that time, you’ve probably been sitting around on your ass getting more and more out of shape. As for me, you ask? Well if you’ve watched TWC last year... you’d know that I was one, if not, THE biggest draw TWC had before it bombed in December. At that time, I became the longest-reigning Royal Champion the company ever had. Right before it went under, I was single-handedly taking down one of the biggest names in the business. Pete, I was taking down the one man you now call “Boss” - King Crasher. There have been a lot of reasons given as to why Crasher did what he did, shutting down. But everything you’ve been told or heard - is a lie. He won’t ever admit it, and I don’t expect him to. But I know why Crasher closed the doors right before Fuck Authority ‘03: Your boss was scared of getting his ass handed to him, yet again, by Rex Butler! But that’s between him and I. There’s no need to bring that into our match, Pete. However, Pete, I do have to ask you a question: With your long absence from the ring, and with my continuing dominance in the ring over that same time, the question is: How in the hell do you think you can come back to TWC and expect to beat me? That’s a question you need to sit back and think about, because you may come back with an answer, but it’ll be some piece of shit response I’d expect to hear from a rookie. So Pete, don’t think too much of a way to beat me on Saturday night. Rather, you should devise a plan that would allow you to survive the ten months of built-up frustration that I Have inside me.”
“You see, Pete... you’re not a concern to me. There aren’t a lot of people in TWC that DO concern me. Thus, this weekend, I will once again use our match as a stepping stone to get what I want. And what I want isn’t what everyone else wants. No, I’m not looking for the Worldwide Championship just yet. What I want is redemption. And there’s only one man who knows what I’m taking about...”
Looking away from the camera, and into the darkness surrounding the parking lot, Rex continues to speak as the sound of distant traffic can be heard...
”Pete, your day has come - again. Don’t expect it to be any easier.”
The scene fades to black...
