Living in Denial

[Living in Denial]
"You’re doing nothing but living your entire life in….."

Denial; noun
Refusal to admit the truth or reality.

.:The cameras open up in what seems to be a secluded environment. There are no people, no sounds and no sort of human activity whatsoever during this time of night. The scene is dead…but at this secluded area however, lays a training facility, a training facility that looks fairly similar to the training facility used for the Tough Enough series. We move in closer on the training facility from the bushes, and can see that someone has forgotten to turn off the lights. In the background, we can hear and feel the rumbling of a train that speeds nearby and as the train passes along, we hear the horn of the locomotive in the distance as it fades away. The scene is very dark and mysterious, with the only piece of light coming from the camera lens. There are no sounds but the only sound you can hear is the footsteps of the cameraman…and the sounds of the leaves blowing in the breeze. Anyway, in the front of this training facility is a parking lot…but no cars are parked here tonight. There lie streetlights, but there is only one…and this one streetlight flickers on and off on the cold hard concrete. But, we direct our attention to the parking lot…and this parking lot turns into a small roadway that intersects with the residential streets…giving residents the feel that someone actually lives here. The camera pans up the small…but wide…roadway and as we begin to reach the street, headlights blind our view. The headlights come closer and move faster as we see that the headlights belong to a vehicle. A Chevy Impala to be exact. The Chevy Impala gets off of the roadway and parks in the parking lot…underneath the fading streetlight. The engine of the vehicle hums and it sounds like music on this night…but it comes to an end… which begins the eerie silence all over again. The driver’s side, the passenger side and the door on the right side open simultaneously and from all three sides exit Marcus Menace, Aaron and Mitchell Davis. They all inhale and Marcus clutches at his Chaos Heat Zone Alpha Championship that lies on his left shoulder as he stares out into space.:

”The Truth” Aaron: So, why are we here again?

Mitchell Davis: I swear, you never listen to me. We’re here because we’re training you. You didn’t think I just put you in the Unholy Alliance just for my health, did you?

”The Truth” Aaron: No.

Mitchell Davis: We…well, I…see great potential in you. Just follow our lead and you’ll be just as talent as we are. (Nudges Marcus Menace) Right Marcus?

Marcus Menace: Huh?…what’d you say?

Mitchell Davis: Ugh…never mind.

Marcus Menace: Ah, I thought so. Well, the sooner we train this loser, the sooner I can go on the first place ride to Australia.

”The Truth” Aaron: Hey, I’m not a loser!

Marcus Menace: Yeah?…well, who’s the CHZ Alpha Champion, huh?

.:No response.:

Marcus Menace: That’s what I thought. Try winning…then talk to me.

Mitchell Davis: Marcus…what’s wrong with you?

Marcus Menace: Well, I don’t know. We came here to train…him. When did I agree to this…you sure I was sober when I agreed?

Mitchell Davis: Positive.

Marcus Menace: I wish I was drunk.

Mitchell Davis: Well…we don’t have all night…

Marcus Menace: We don’t…so shut up…and let’s get this damn thing over with. Sheesh!

.:Mitchell Davis slams the driver’s seat shut and gives Menace a look that defines his anger. Menace then shoots back an expression of his own that says “come get some”…but nonetheless, they walk to the training facility and Mitchell opens the door. The training facility is set up like your average gym…except with a ring. There are several promotional posters that are hung up to promote the company that Menace and Davis share – WIIW – and several more posters that are of some of the Chaos Heat Zone past and future pay-per-views. Most importantly, the two things that are hung up are an Unholy Alliance poster and a motto that greets you as you enter the facility. The motto reads “Failure is not an Option”…and it attracts everyone’s attention as they enter. All three men enter the training facility and Mitchell Davis and Marcus Menace tap the motto three times for good luck as Aaron shuts the door. They both then turn around and face Aaron as Davis signals with his head for him to do it.:

Mitchell Davis: First things first. To become one of us, you have to realize this motto…and live by it. If you can’t live by this motto…then I suggest you not waste any our time and just walk away right now. But, we can get pretty superstitious around here…but you can blame us…it hasn’t failed us yet.

.:Mitchell Davis gives Aaron a friendly smile and Aaron does the same as he touches the motto for good luck. When he does that, Mitchell greets him with a high five and then they touch fists. The three men then enter the ring and make themselves comfortable. Marcus decides to take a seat on the top turnbuckle and stares at his Alpha Championship, Aaron wanders around the ring looking for something to do and Mitchell Davis grabs a chair. Mitchell slides the chair in, enters the ring and pulls out the chair for Aaron to sit in. He motions for Aaron to sit down and as he does Mitchell circles around him as if he is inside of an interrogation room.:

Mitchell Davis: So, Marcus, what do we do with Aaron first?

Marcus Menace: I don’t know, a diet is one thing.

Mitchell Davis: Real funny, smart-ass.

Marcus Menace: Yeah, I know. It’s a gift.

.:Mitchell Davis continues his circling around Aaron and then stops when he gets in front of him. Davis backs up several inches and then directs for Aaron to get up. Aaron cooperates.:

Mitchell Davis: Aaron…this is what we’re going to do. I want you to give us a ring name for yourself…and then after that I want you to tell us about yourself. We’re going to make your dreams come true.

”The Truth” Aaron: Okay.

.:Aaron stretches and then walks around the ring holding his index finger to his chin, pondering ideas for himself.:

”The Truth” Aaron: Mitchell, I want to be “The Truth”…and that’s it.

Mitchell Davis: …And what are your dreams in this business. What is your personal ambition?

The Truth: I want to be successful. I want to be a champion. I want to be like…..

.:Aaron turns around and stares in the direction of Marcus Menace and his CHZ Alpha Championship and then points at his prized possession.:

The Truth: Marcus.

.:The recognition of Marcus Menace grabs his attention and Menace slowly brings his head up from staring a hole through his Alpha Championship. A smile slowly comes from one part of his face to another and Menace takes his time to get off of the turnbuckle. Marcus faces Aaron and stares him straight in the eyes and then brings the Alpha Championship to his face.:

Marcus Menace: Aaron…that might have been the smartest thing you’ve ever said. So, you want to be more like me huh?

.:Aaron nods in agreement.:

Marcus Menace: Well, Aaron, if you think it’s all fun and games…and if life is like what you see on television…then you have no idea. No fucking clue. I didn’t get to where I am by eating cheeseburgers, buddy. I didn’t come this far and work this hard just to fall. It took years…and years…and years of dedication. Years of hard work. Years of taking bumps and bruises…and Aaron, I did it for no one. Not a damn soul. I did it for only one person…and that was for myself. I don’t do this for the fans…and you shouldn’t be doing this for them, either. You do this because this is what is what you love to do…not because you want to be in some teenage magazine. You work your ass off so that when you finally reach the promised land, you can say that you earned it. Aaron, I didn’t come this far to fall…and I am not falling anytime soon. Not to anyone…or anything.

.:Aaron nods his head but it is obvious that The Truth has his eyes on one thing…and that thing is the Alpha Championship. Marcus sees this and pulls the title back from Aaron who looks to be foaming at the mouth over the sight of seeing the title.:

Marcus Menace: What do you want?…you want this?…you want to hold my title?

.:Aaron nods for the third time but this time nodding his head like a child out of kindergarden. Marcus holds his title belt out in his hands for Aaron to touch…but as Aaron tries to grab it…Menace tugs it away from him…forcing Aaron to hit the canvas and giving himself a slightly bloody nose. Aaron goes to wipe the blood away from his nose and Mitchell Davis tries to aid him to his feet.:

Mitchell Davis: What the hell was that for?…that was just cruel man…

Marcus Menace: Save your bullshit.

.:Marcus Menace shoves Mitchell Davis out of the way and lifts Aaron up. He then backs him up into the turnbuckle where he stares Aaron in the eyes.:

Marcus Menace: Listen up. You think that fall was hard?…then I guess this fall back to reality will come crashing harder. You see, the fact is, you aren’t good enough. You haven’t wrestled one match in your life. You have never traveled around the globe…you have never fought in front of millions and millions of people. Aaron, you know nothing about this business…and that is why we are here. Don’t take what I am saying personal…because it was all a test. A test to see if you are man enough for this business…because only the strong survive. You don’t deserve to handle my jock strap…or even my championship belt for that matter. That, my friend, is what you have to earn. You have to earn the respect of others…but when all else fails, you beat the respect into them. I’m not doing this because I hate you. I’m doing this because it’s for your own good. Aaron, in this business, you earn EVERYTHING you receive. There are no free rewards. You don’t get things handed to you on a silver platter…except your own ass…if you are not careful. This is a dog eat dog business…and to be on the top of your game, you have to say that you are the top dog…and if you don’t have confidence in yourself…then who will?

Mitchell Davis: I guess I never thought of it that way.

Marcus Menace: I know you didn’t. You are speaking with the man who put Sean Andretti, Jeffery Archibald…and yourself on the map.

Mitchell Davis: You…put me on the map?…since when?

The Truth: Uh…guys?…

Marcus Menace: Since a couple of years ago. You should respect your master.

Mitchell Davis: Yeah, right. You have no idea who your fucking with.

Marcus Menace: Oh yeah?

Mitchell Davis: Yeah. You know what would happen if we had another of our matches again.

Marcus Menace: Yeah, I do…..

Both men simultaneously: I would win.

.:Both men get in each other’s face and look prepared for battle but it all ends as Aaron gets himself in the middle.:

The Truth: GUYS!!!

.:They spin around to face Aaron.:

Both men simultaneously: What?!

The Truth: Who is…that?

.:The camera pans over to where The Truth points and at the entrance of the training facility we see a woman. A woman who looks to be familiar and stands about five ten with an amazing physique. The woman stands there as Aaron, Marcus Menace and Mitchell Davis look on…surprised. .:

Mitchell Davis: What?…..

Marcus Menace: …..No way.

Mitchell Davis: Is…that…Stacy Andretti?!

The Truth: Whoa…Stacy?!…she’s HOT!

.:Marcus Menace puts a hand to his head and nods his head out of frustration over the situation he then brings he head back up and then speaks.:

Marcus Menace: Yes…yes…damnit…yes it is.

.:The cameras pan over to who looks exactly like…and is Stacy Andretti. Stacy winks at the camera and walks towards the ring as the scene slowly fades…to…black.:
