[The Man Behind the Laughter]
Sponsored by.....

~*This man is currently sitting in a chair while looking out of a window. He's watching the cars passing by and the normal sounds of life on a Saturday afternoon. He's thinking about his past and what the future holds in store for him. He's thinking that there's nothing left for him to live for. This man fears nothing. This man fears no one. This man is riding high and there's nothing that will or shall bring him down. He is an outcast. He is different than all of you. He looks down upon you. This man sees life in a different perspective. He has no friends and quite frankly thinks that he doesn't deserve any. He was cast into the world, and everyone who he's ever loved has turned against him. The faces that he once saw have now turned old and gray and they all begin to fade away. This man is God's gift to you. You want to be this man, but this man doesn't want to be you. Now without further ado let me introduce to you.....Jeffery Archibald.

Jeffery Archibald was born on the mean streets of Boston, Massachusetts to parents Katie and Nathaniel Archibald. Jeff is twenty years old and was the youngest out of three brothers. He never really cared about his brothers and was more involved in himself. Jeff grew up in a neighborhood full with poverty and crime. He witnessed his father get murdered over a failed drug deal and had to deal with the death of his mother at any early age. No one in Jeff's family could deal with taking care of all of the children Katie and Nate left behind so they were left as foster children.

As a foster child, Jeff hated it with a passion. Jeff was never happy there and he hated everyone that was there. He never got to know his parents and never realized or remembered what they looked like. He didn't know what Christmas felt like, or what a home was. His life wasn't the same and he never got picked up by a family or spent time in a real home. Until…~*

April 4, 2000
Boston Child Care Center
4:45 PM

"Today is really starting to suck, I wish I could get out of this place. The food is bad, the people are phony and there's no heat. I hate it here. I HATE IT HERE!!!!! I wish that there was a way out. I wish that my mom and my dad were still alive. I wish that some family would adopt me and get me out of this….."

"Archibald…Jeffery Archibald? Are you there?" The receptionist voice yells out to the room where the foster children are in. Jeff is sitting in a hair with his head in his lap and his long hair (at the time) draped over his face. Several children look at Jeff while he slowly raises his head up and stares directly at the receptionist.

"What do you want?" Jeff replied. The receptionist made her way to Jeff and put her hand on his shoulder while she looked at him and said, "I have someone I'd like for you to meet".

And so Jeff got up and the receptionist led him to the office where his new "parents" would be waiting. Jeff reached the room and looked into the eyes of his soon to be mother and father. They were patiently waiting and eager to adopt a new child into their life whereas Jeff wasn't too thrilled. These parents had a weird swagger to them. They didn't seem or look like your average parents. There was just something about them that Jeff didn't like. Was it the amount of money they held? Was it the fact that someone actually cared about him? Whatever it was, Jeff didn't want any part of it and wanted to be left alone. So there he sat by a corner and stared into one of the many Leonardo Da Vinci pictures that were hung up on the wall as the parents and the owner of the child care center talked about the paperwork that went into adopting Jeff. The papers would take several days to finalize but it was official. Jeffery Archibald would in deed have a new home.

"I'm going to leave you three alone so you all can get to know each other" The owner of the center said. Still Jeff paid no one any attention and stared off into his own world. A smile was brought across the faces of Jeff's new parents and wanted (or tried) to get things off on the right foot.

"Hello there Jeff, my name is Ashley and his name is Stuart and we will be taking care of you for awhile" Ashley tried to break the ice, but there was no answer. It was as if Jeff didn't care he was getting out the very place he hated so much. He was going to get away from all the bad tasting food, the phony workers and the children of all ages that were there. Jeff was going to start fresh with a family that cared enough to welcome them into their home.

"Now Jeff, we know that you've had a rough past and we understand that maybe you don't feel right about us adopting you but please give us a chance and we won't let you down." With those words Jeff snapped out of his trance and looked eye to eye with his father and nodded his head.

"So, you both are going to get rid of me too isn't that right?" Jeff said. Stuart and Ashley both looked at each other knowing that won't happen and Ashley grabbed Jeff's hand, held it tight and began to speak.

"Jeff we aren't going to let you go. We're going to be here for you because in a few days we're going to be your new parents. You have to trust us."

"Trust…you?!…..but I barely know you!!!!!" Jeff shouted and let loose of the lady's hand. It was evident on his face that he was pretty upset and Jeff began to storm out the room. Stuart tried to get a hold of his arm but was weak in the attempt and Jeff left and he ran. He didn't know exactly where he was running or what was outside but he didn't let that stop him. And so he ran, and he ran and he ran not knowing where his next turn was or where he was going to end up. All Jeff wanted to do was to get away from what he thought as reality. Even though his parents told him that they weren't going to give him up, he knew that they were or that he'd end up at that same place he stayed for about 12 years. He wanted something new, he wanted to start over, he was getting sick of seeing the same people, going the same places and he was tired of everyone lying to him. It had burnt a hole into his stomach and while he was running all these thoughts ran into his head and it made tears run down his face along with the rain that was soaking up his body.

So now his clothes and his entire body were wet and he had nowhere to go. But, there was once place where he knew that he wasn't going to go…and that was back. Back to the center, back to those kids and back to those parents. He knew that this was it, that there were no turning back and that his future would probably be brighter now than it ever was before.

It was a rainy day that day and the rain came down harder as Jeff's clothes got wet more and more the more he ran. He didn't care about the puddles he stepped in, or the people that watched him run without an umbrella on this cloudy day, all he cared about was getting away…..far away.

The minutes passed and the weather didn't get any better. Now Jeff was getting pretty worn out from the running and had no idea as to where he was. He tried asking several Bostonians but they just turned him away and kept walking. Jeff tried to ask for some money, anything to get him by and everyone just turned him away. Some of the people even laughed and giggled but Jeff knew that this wasn't a laughing matter. His life was not a laughing matter, or even something to be made fun of and so his anger then turned into hatred and gave up on asking people for money, or directions. He figured the only way he'd get some recognition would be if he forced it out of them. Somehow, someway, he was going to force these pedestrians to give him what he wanted and it all came into fruition after finding…..a gun.

It was a Colt .45 handgun with enough ammunition to take out a life or two. It was exactly what Jeff needed and so Jeff tucked it into his wet pockets. He didn't know whose gun it was or how many bullets were left in a clip but he knew that there were some in there. He could feel it. Jeff didn't know who fired the previous bullets in the gun and didn't care. All he wanted was some money to get around and some directions around this town and he knew that if he couldn't do the talking, then his Colt .45 would.

So Jeff stalled around a little, walking under street awnings to get dry but they didn't work. He dried off, but not a lot so he decided to go to the place where he could stay, get dry and no one would complain. That place was the library. Jeff walked up the steps to get to the library and entered. He didn't know what he wanted to get or do besides dry off so when he entered he just walked around and acted as if he was searching for a book while cradling his gun in his pocket. Jeff was minding his business and was up to his searching for a book act when all of a sudden a mysterious man walks up to Jeff and taps him on the shoulder. Jeff snaps around, pulls the .45 out of his pocket and has the man at gunpoint. There are no people watching but Jeff seems nervous to pull the trigger whereas the man holds no fear to a bullet being pumped into his brain. This man would be a younger Sean Andretti.~*

Jeffery Archibald: Who are you, what do you want?

~*Jeff said, while having the gun placed to the man's head. The man who would be indentified to be a younger Sean Andretti put his hands up as if he was about to surrender but just laughs.~*

Jeffery Archibald: W-Why are you laughing, do you find me funny?!

A Younger Sean Andretti: Hey, why all the hostility man?

Jeffery Archibald: I don't think you understand my first question, so let me ask it again. WHAT do you want?!

~*At this point, Jeffery Archibald seemed agitated and it looked as if he was about to let the trigger go. Sean Andretti backs off but then runs into a bookcase. Archibald still has the gun pointed to his head as Andretti sighs.~*

Sean Andretti: Dude, you need to chill. Man...put that gun away, I don't want you goin' to jail.

Jeffery Archibald: What do you need with me?

~*Jeffery Archibald began to tuck the gun into his pockets again as Sean Andretti seemed to look a little more calm. Archibald and the younger Sean Andretti began to walk to the back of the library as Sean took his jacket off and gave it to Jeff.~*

Jeffery Archibald: What is this for?

Sean Andretti: You should look at yourself in a mirror, you look horrible. Plus, I can tell your cold and wet. The jacket is a gift...from me. Thank God you spared my life.

Jeffery Archibald: Uh.....

Sean Andretti: Save your thanks man, your face says it all.

Jeffery Archibald: Are you making fun of me?!

Sean Andretti: (Laughs) You've gotta lighten up.

~*Jeffery Archibald seems confused with the whole situation. Never before had he met someone as straight forward as Sean Andretti. There was something about this guy that he liked, he had never seen him in the area but he was a little dumbfounded. He had lots of questions running through his mind about this guy. He wanted to know why Andretti decided to give him his jacket when he needed it more. It was a cool 42 degrees with rain and the wind blowing in the southeast at 13 miles per hour. Jeff knew that Sean needed this jacket more than him, but there was something about the jacket that made him wonder. Was it the Nike design on it?.....Was it the fact that someone had actually given him something instead of taking it away?.....Jeff had this feeling inside of him. The feeling of security. Jeff thought that this guy was different than everyone else. He knew that this man wouldn't turn his back on him. Jeff knew that even though that this man would actually be his.....friend and Jeff never knew what friendship was until he met Andretti. They had only shared a couple words and already Jeff had considered Sean as a friend.~*

Sean Andretti: So.....what is your name?

Jeffery Archibald: My name is Jeff. Jeffery Archibald

Sean Andretti: The name is Sean Andretti.....nice to meet ya. Jeff, you gotta let loose man.

Jeffery Archibald: Let.....loose?

Sean Andretti: Yeah, you know.....lighten up a bit. Crack a smile, share a laugh.....do.....something.

~*They had walked around together but just as Andretti had said that, Jeff's face cracked an evil smile. Sean wasn't paying attention to Jeff but Jeff had took Sean and held him up on the bookcase, looking into his eyes with that evil smile that was still on his face.~*

Jeffery Archibald: That better?!

Sean Andretti: Let go of me.....you freak.

~*The Canadian Sensation had looked at Jeffery Archibald as if he was staring into the eyes of a madman. Jeff had still held Sean up on the bookcase but after several moments let him go. Archibald and Sean Andretti then face either other face to face and nose to nose but they don't touch each other. Jeff looks like he's gonna take the head off of Sean Andretti but as they engage in the staredown even more, Sean shoots Jeffery a smile of his own. The smile from Sean confuses Jeff.~*

Jeffery Archibald: What the hell you smiling at?

Sean Andretti: This is it!

Jeffery Archibald: What the f........

Sean Andretti: Shut your mouth.

Jeffery Archibald: What?

Sean Andretti: Your one bad mother fucker. This is it.....this is the intensity that I came to Boston for.

Jeffery Archibald: Come again?

Sean Andretti: Jeff.....my life long dream is to become a wrestler and with you by my side, I think you could do it. You've got the heart, I see it in your eyes. You can do it. Jeff with the power and the intensity that you bring, your name could be up there in the lights.

Jeffery Archibald: Excuse me?

Sean Andretti: Jeff.....I know your mad at the world, but instead of cocking a hammer.....and using a gun.....you can use your fists. My dream is to become a wrestler, to entertain the people and the fans and I think I've found my investment in you Jeff. We aren't there yet but in a few years, we could be riding high. In a few years it could be me and you on the road, stylin' and profilin'........WHOO!!!!! Jeff together....me and you.....could be deadly. We can be that force that takes wrestling to the next level, the duo.....that can.....

Jeffery Archibald: Shut up.

Sean Andretti: What'd you say?

Jeffery Archibald: Shut up Sean. Say no more. I'm in.

Sean Andretti: Your what?!.....oh.....yeah.....WHOO!!!!!

Jeffery Archibald: Stop doing that.

Sean Andretti: Doing what?

Jeffery Archibald: WHOO!!!!!!!!.....that.

Sean Andretti: See Jeff, I knew you'd lighten up.

~*A confused smile comes across his face as the expression on his face wonders what the hell he just agreed to. The two young men then walk back to the entrance to the library to exit as they talk about the future that lies in from of them in the sports entertainment industry. There is a lot that will occur in their future that they might not be ready for but they are ready for it nevertheless. April 4, 2000 marked the day that the man behind the laughter was introduced to wrestling.....and his new life.~*

[The Present]

April 4, 2004

~*The cameras open up in the same training facility that our Canadian Sensation was training in the day before. We see the door swing open and the lights are all off in the gym but on this bright sunny day in Toronto, Canada we get the image that the lights are on. The cameraman slowly moves up to the ring that's placed in the gym and there's no one in there. There seems to be no motions or signals of life in the gym but the cameraman doesn't give up hope. He looks around the gym in hopes of seeing either Jeffery Archibald, Sean Andretti or Raymond Storm and he begins to search. The camera moves all along the gym and then comes to a pile of stairs. The stairs leads up and the camera moves up to try and find someone. Footsteps are heard from the cameraman's walking and the stairs swing around. They swing around to a hallway, with several rooms on it. You can see that there's a bathroom and several closed doors down the corridor. Except one. The cameraman then takes the chance and tries to see who is in the room. Who is the room?.....the person is Jeffery Archibald. Jeff is sitting in a black leather chair, smoking a cigar, while looking out of a window. He's looking at the railroad that's near the training facility and the six inches of snow Toronto was hit with. Archibald sees the camera in the corner of his eye, takes a drag of his cigar and motions with his head for the camera to get closer. While the camera comes closer to Jeffery Archibald, he takes several more drags of his cigar and he gets an evil smirk on his face.~*

Jeffery Archibald: Ladies and Gentlemen, I know you were anticipating a few words from my client Sean Andretti but a personal issue as arose and he will not be with us today.

~*Jeffery Archibald pauses and waits for the 'aww shit' comments from the viewers. He then takes a drag of the cigar again and puffs it out.~*

Jeffery Archibald: (In a chinese voice) A wise nan tol' ne snoking tis bad for lou. Lou knowl what I did?.....I lumped two hots into his blain!

~*And so the terrible Tai Mai Shu impression ends and Jeffery Archibald laughs to himself. The viewers have now had enough of Jeffery and are now changing the channel for their best way to recover from the terrible impersonation. Jeff thinks of this happening and he doesn't care. He inhales again from the cigar and then finishes it. He then stands up and looks out of the window with the camera getting a shot of him from the side.~*

Jeffery Archibald: For those who have stayed, I thank you. For now all of those who are still watching have the privilege to a treat. That treat is watching me put all of my comedy away.....and be in front of a camera. It's a rare thing.....and a first, but I have the confidence to do this. I know I can stand in front of this camera and give my point of view on the match that my client has now that he's not here. But first.....there's something that I need to get off of my chest.

~*Archibald nods his head as he breathes in the window. A train passes the gym and Jeff waits until the train passes and then speaks.~*

Jeffery Archibald: Today marks the fourth anniversary. Four years ago today is when I was introduced to this sport. Today was the day that Sean Andretti turned my life around. Sean took me from a foster child, a bum on the streets....who had no money, a person who was on the verge to ending up in jail and turned me around. He taught me the tricks of the trade, took me in.....trained me and decided to make me his manager. See, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Sean Andretti.....and what Sean Andretti does and what the man stands for. My client stands for everything that you are not. My client is a world class athlete and I think.....no.....dammit, I know that he is better than every single person on the CHZ roster. I owe it all to Sean. I owe my life to Sean and I respect him for taking his time out and polishing me and making me what I am today. Without Sean Andretti, I wouldn't be standing in front of you today.....and for that Sean.....I want to say.....thank you. And ya see.....it works like this.....if my client can take me in and make me a star, he can do it for each and every one in CHZ. Sean Andretti is your savior, Sean Andretti can do it all. My client can take nobodies like me and turn them into something. He can bring them in and make them larger than life. I respect that in a man.....I respect what Andretti for me, my career and for my life. But unfortunately there are some men who Sean helped that haven't paid any respects.

Right J Stevenson?.........Right Matt Scheffert?

~*Jeffery looks at the camera and shoots it a confused look....as if he wanted an answer right then and right there. Jeff then gives himself a laugh and continues.~*

Jeffery Archibald: You see Stevenson....Scheffert....I give credit where credit is due. I respect a man who has done all that he has done for me....whereas Sean has done so much for you and you've repaid him with nothing. Now my client has a 74 million dollar contract with Nike....where you two are stuck with your Reebok sneakers. And you know where all that money is going?.....to you Stevenson?.....you think the money is going to you Scheffert?.....NOPE!!!!!

~*Jeff pats his pockets several times.~*

Jeffery Archibald: Right there, that's where the cash is going. The cash is coming to me.....and the cash is goin' to the true epitome of excellence. Soon enough Sean Andretti is gonna be looking down at you two men and Steve.....

Voice: Ahem.

Jeffery Archibald: .....nson.....you will.....

Voice: AHEM!

~*The voice comes from behind Jeff and the cameras swing over to the door to where the voice comes from and the voice belongs to Sean Andretti. The Canadian Sensation stands at the door with his black Nike hoodie and his black swoosh pants as he enters the office. Sean nods his head at Jeff as Jeff looks a little uneasy.~*

Jeffery Archibald: How long you been here?

The Canadian Sensation: .....Long enough.

Jeffery Archibald: Uh-oh.

The Canadian Sensation: Uh-oh is right. What the hell are you doing with these cameras Jeff?

Jeffery Archibald: You were out with some "personal" issues....right?

The Canadian Sensation: Personal issues?!.....dammit.....you sabataged my car!

Jeffery Archibald: Did I say personal issues?.....whoops! Good night everybody!

The Canadian Sensation: Fuck that.....And what'd I tell you about smoking MY cuban cigars?.....they are only for special occasions.

Jeffery Archibald: It was a special occasion. My first promo.

The Canadian Sensation: Your first promo will come soon Jeff. Plus, what'd I tell you about mentioning the one man sellout huh?

Jeffery Archibald: Who?....Steve....

The Canadian Sensation: SHUT UP! Those two words are banned....and if ya ever mention the words of that....loser....ever again....I'll fire your ass....understood?!

Jeffery Archibald: Gotcha.

The Canadian Sensation: Now Jeff....tell them the good news.

Jeffery Archibald: What news?

The Canadian Sensation: Ugh....you never remember anything. You know the idea of me...and you...as a team?

Jeffery Archibald: But I'm not wrestling.

The Canadian Sensation: The idea about the Elite Impact Players....being born again.

Jeffery Archibald: Right.

The Canadian Sensation: Well?

Jeffery Archibald: For the people that are still with us....let me introduce to you....EIP 2k4, the team of Jeffery Archibald....and Sean Andretti!

The Canadian Sensation: Man I tell you Jeff, I'm psyched about this. Your announcements never cease.

Jeffery Archibald: I know. In your eye Steve.....

The Canadian Sensation: WHAT DID I TELL YOU!?!

Jeffery Archibald: (Holds head down) Sorry.

~*The scene fades.~*
