“Guys, come on, sit down. There’s like a minute left. Come on Jeff you can do it! Take it to him.”
‘Women’s Champion’ Gail Kim
“Hey, where is Blaze, how come she isn’t watching?”
‘Tag Champion’ Raven
“That’s why! She is running down to the ring. What the hell is she doing?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Oh! That is what she is doing! Jeff just hit him with the Twist of Fate!”
Jeff goes for the pin. 1… 2… 3… Bell Rings…
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter “He won! Yes, Jeff, he won! Way to go! Awesome. I hope we get the Raw card before we leave tonight.’
‘Tag Champion’ Raven
“I’m sure we will. I wonder what Vince has got for us this week. Who is going to stop us, who?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Quite possible nobody. I wonder how long we are going to have these babies for. We are a few days away from longest reign. We will make history yet again, man. I mean, we are rewriting these record books.”
‘Women’s Champion’ Gail Kim
“You mean you are rewriting them. We are just routing for you. It’s a shame you lost the Hardcore Title though. It was cheap. They should have given you a break in between each elimination.”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“No, that is the way the match is supposed to go. What are you going to do? I mean, I had about 8 matches if you include each opponent in the Hardcore Match. I was tired. If the Hardcore match was first, things might have been different. But I still have these babies, I’m content.”
‘Tag Champion’ Raven
“Yeah, and way to screw Gore. I loved it man. You smacked him with that chair and got out of there like nobody’s business. We gotta keep them titles away from The Revolution, you know?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“We have to keep the titles away from everyone. I kept two titles out of the hands of the Revolution tonight. Took one from Body Tap, the tag from the nWo, however I gave one to the Tap, too.”
‘Tag Champ’ Raven
“It doesn’t matter what you took and what you gave. They can’t touch us, even if they had all of the damn titles…”
‘Women’s Champ’ Gail Kim
“I agree with him.”
The scene goes to Jeff Hardy and Blaze in the hallway after the Main Event. Jeff gives Blaze a high five and then hugs her. They share a passionate kiss. They walk down the hallway into The Brood’s locker room. They are greeted by the rest of the Brood.
‘Tag Champion’ Raven
“Hey, Jeff, way to go. Awesome work, man. And Blaze, haha, that was absolutely great. Way to teach that bastard!”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Yeah, I think we’ve had a successful night for the Brood. Everyone nice job.”
The Hunter starts to clap.
‘World Champion’ Jeff Hardy
“Hey, Hunter, you didn’t do so bad for yourself, either. You had a lot of matches. I don’t think I could have done it.”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Yeah, I’m still pissed off that I lost the King of Hardcore Title. I don’t think I am going to try and get it back, though. It seems like another night like tonight is inevitable. I don’t want to have a million matches, it’s hard you know?”
‘Tag Champion’ Raven
“I know man. You did good, though. Nice work.”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“I got a 12 hour drive, I’m going home. Hope I don’t fall asleep at the wheel.”
‘World Champion’ Jeff Hardy
“Why don’t you take a plane?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Since when do I take planes? I hate planes.”
There is a knock on a door. The Hunter opens it and an employee of the WWE walks in. He is holding a piece of paper.
‘WWE Employee’
“Mr. McMahon would like you to know the card for Raw next week. Raven versus Kyle Davis… Blaze and Gail Kim versus Samantha Fox and Dawn Marie… The Hunter versus Go-D… Jeff Hardy versus Chris Blaze. Thanks, guys, girls.”
‘World Champion’ Jeff Hardy
“HA! Chris Blaze, what a joke! I’ll kill him!”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Easy killer. Remember what happened with Josh? Don’t take anyone to lightly.”
‘World Champion’ Jeff Hardy
“He kicked your ass too, so I wouldn’t say a word.”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Actually I was eliminated from that match before I saw Josh Lokamp. But, dude, I am just saying, don’t take him to lightly, that’s all.”
‘Women’s Champion’ Blaze
“Yeah, he is right, Jeff.”
‘Tag Champion’ Raven
“Everybody’s kicking Go-D’s ass, huh? Hunter he is yours next. You can really prove all the doubters wrong.”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“How do I still have doubters? The first Triple Champion ever? The Longest Reigning Tag Champion ever? Odd…Well, like I said, I am getting out of here. Talk to you later.”
The Hunter walks out of the Brood’s locker room. He walks out of the arena and into the parking lot. He gets into his car and starts the car. He puts it in reverse and drives away.
Scene Two
Cameras on/OFF
The Hunter looks at the gas meter. Empty, he needs gas. He drives into a nearby gas station. He gets out of the car and starts to pump his gas.
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
(mumbling to himself) “Nothing like Jersey…”
Man
“You from Jersey, huh?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Yes sir. Born and raised. I travel all over the country now, gotta get used to these things, you know?”
Man
“Yup, you look familiar, have we met?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
(laughs) “No, do you watch wrestling?”
Man
“Every once in a while, why?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Watch it on Monday, you’ll see why.”
The Hunter slips the credit card through the slot and gets back into his car and drives away, 300 miles away from home.
Scene Three
Cameras on/OFF
The Hunter pulls his to his New Jersey residence, and parks his car in the garage. The house is fairly big, a tan color. He gets out his keys and unlocks the front door. He walks in and is greeted by his dog and his cat. He takes a few moments to get reacquainted with his house that he hasn’t been in for a month or so. He looks in the fridge, and it is basically empty. He picks up the phone and orders some Chinese food to be delivered. He decides to prepare for his match against Go-D; he has no time to waste. He walks into the basement, where he has a small weight room, and begins pumping some iron.
Later, the Hunter is layout on the couch, watching a tape of Go-D and Jeff’s match at Day of Havok. He is studying Go-D’s moves, and how he wrestles to better prepare himself. He watches almost all 60 minutes of the match, and gets a ring on his cell phone. It is Raven.
Raven, on the phone
“Hey, man. How was your trip home, no trouble?”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Yeah, it was good. I’m tired as hell though. I am hoping to get some sleep pretty much all day tomorrow before I have to fly again the next day.”
Raven, on the phone
“Yeah, I hear you. You have a long flight, all the way to Canada. Alberta, the left coast.”
‘Double Champion’ The Hunter
“Yeah, well, I’ve been to Canada a few times. It’s not such a bad flight. Hey, I’m going to go, talk to you in a day or two.”
Raven, on the phone
“Ok, talk to you.”
The Hunter closes his phone, puts it in his jeans pocket, and heads into his bedroom and falls asleep in the bed.
