Things get worse written by The Hunter
Scene One

The scene opens up a day in the hospital after the Hunter's car accident. The Hunter was asleep, but slowly recovering and slowly becoming more aware of what was going on around him. A nurse walked in to check on him.

Nurse
Well, look who is up. How do you feel?

The Hunter
Much better. I thought I was dying yesterday.

Nurse
Well, you seem to be OK. It's a concussion. We pulled your medic files to find out you've had 2 previous concussions. You better take it easy, or you'll be walking around here like Muhammed Ali.

The Hunter
That's great and all, when can I leave?

Nurse
Well, all you're tests just came back fine, so you can check yourself out now.

The Hunter
Great. Where are my clothes? I'm outta here.

The Hunter got dressed and walked out of the room and toward the elevator. He pressed the button, and waited patiently. The door opened and a familiar face was standing there. It was Chris Blaze.

Chris Blaze
Ah, my favorite co-worker. I brought you some flowers. I heard you and your mommy weren't feeling better. Poor baby.

The Hunter
Chris, I don't have time for your shit. Are we gonna do this? This is somebody's life your fucking with. Because of you, I might never see my mother again.

Chris Blaze
Aww... we got a momma's boy on our hands?

The Hunter
I've talked to my mom twice in the past year, I want to make things better before she goes, so get the hell out of my way.

Chris Blaze
I'm not so sure I'm the man for that job, Hunter.

Chris went to hit The Hunter with the left, but the Hunter blocked it and grabbed Chris around the neck, and started choking him furiously. They were now in the elevator, Chris' back against the back wall, The Hunter's hands around his neck. A nurse walked by and screamed for somebody to call the police. She was wheeling a cart of soiled sheets. The Hunter knocked Chris into the cart. Chris was gasping for air, but the smell of feces was no relief. He quickly got out of there, and jumped on the floor, slowing getting up. The Hunter was waiting for the elevator that had closed, and Chris Blaze got up, and kicked out the Hunter's legs. He was on his knees facing Chris, who then kneed him in the face. There were two cops coming up the elevator, and the Hunter had to make a mad dash for the stairs. The Hunter grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed it in the face of Chris Blaze, and then, he ran. He ran until his veins pumped battery acid, and then, he ran some more. He finally got down four flights of stairs to hear a man yell.

Man
Freeze! Hands in the air! Put them up, now!

The Hunter had been caught by the police, and would most likely be arrested. There was no way out of this one. He had only been arrested one time previous as a kid. He got in the back of the car, and stared out the window for the ride home. Chris Blaze played victim, and got away with it. The Hunter got his picture taken, was assigned a number, and a cell. He was there for about three hours when two people he knew had shown up. It was Vince McMahon and Jeff Hardy. Vince had posted bail for the Hunter. They all got back in Vince's limo.

Vince McMahon
What in the hell is wrong with you, Hunter? From what I've heard, you two got the hell beaten out of you in a bar, then you went and got in a car accident, and now you've been arrested. Trial date September 30th, by the way. Your looking at maybe one to two years, at most. Good lawyer will get you probation. You are lucky. We are driving you to the airport right now. We will be there in 15 minutes. Here's your ticket, and your ticket to Hawaii on the way home. Today is Thursday. You better make it back. You are the future here.

They arrived at the airport, and it didn't take the Hunter long to get on his flight, since he had no bags, no luggage, or anything.

Scene Two
Atlanta, GA.

The Hunter had a taxi take him to his father and mother's home, and he arrived to find nobody him. The back door was open for him, and he walked in. He found a note on the table.

Chris,
We are at the hospital. Get here as soon as you read this, your mother is holding on for you.

Dad

The Hunter ran back to the front to try and catch that taxi as it started to drive away. The taxi driver saw him, and let him in. They were off to the hospital.

At the hospital, the Hunter looked for his mother's name. He couldn't find it, so he asked the woman at the desk.

"Room 241,"

He ran toward the elevator, and took it up to the third floor. The room was a few steps away, and immediately he saw his dad, and then in the bed, his mom.

The Hunter
How is she?

Dad
Ask her for yourself.

The Hunter went into the room to talk to his mother. She spoke very slowly, she didn't have much energy. He could see she wasn't right, and that time was short.

Mom
Hi, son...

The Hunter
Mom, I'm sorry. For everything. Before you go, I want you to know that. You put me through alot, but your still my mother, and I love you.

Mom
I forgive you. I love you, too.

The Hunter's dad walked in as his mom closed her eyes, and drifted away. She was dead. They alerted a nurse, and a doctor confirmed it. 1:34, Eastern Time. The Hunter and his dad talked outside in the hallway. The Hunter told him he had to be in Hawaii in a few days, so the funeral should be as soon as possible. It was rare that the funeral was two days after the death, but in cases of illness, you could probably do it. It was going to be a relatively small funeral, they didn't have much family, and most of their friends had stayed up in New York. They couldn't expect them to come on such short notice.

The Hunter
Dad, I feel bad. I can't stay longer than tomorrow. I really have to get back to Hawaii. I'm sorry. Let's have a memorial tomorrow, just family, then I'll fly back to Hawaii. That would be special.

Dad
Ok, that's what we will do. Just family. For you.

Scene Three
Hawaii

The Hunter had flown back to Hawaii. He had suffered a great loss, but now he had a clear mind. His headache had sort of gone away, and he would be better for his match. Tonight was the house show, and he planned on making a huge statement. He got to Hawaii at 5, and the house show was in a few hours. All the traveling made the Hunter fatigued, so he figured when he got to the arena he would take a nap.

At the arena.
8:30 PM

".44 Caliber" by Alexisonfire starts to play, and The Hunter walks out to the ring as the crowd of fans chant his name.

Jim Ross
Oh my! The Hunter is here tonight, going against everybody's speculations as to his whereabouts. He was in Atlanta, San Diego and now he is here in Hawaii ready for Last Rites! He never fails to disappoint.

The King
He is here a day and a half after his mother died, I knew he had no heart!

Jim Ross
Oh stop it, King! You know what his childhood was like, he almost didn't even have a mother.

The Hunter grabs a microphone, and he climbs up into the ring. He is about ready to let all of his frustrations out, right here.

The Hunter
You know, it has been one of the longest weeks of my life. This week, I have experienced a life time of emotions. Let us back track. On Monday, I was furious with Jeff Hardy after he didn't come out to help me, then I was ecstatic after I beat Ness. On Wednesday, I decided to help some fans and sign autographs, and was told by a hundred kids they were going to sell it on Ebay. On Thursday I found out my mother was dying, got the hell beaten out of me in a bar, got into a car accident. Then on Friday, I meet Chris Blaze in a hospital, and beat his ass, get out of the hospital to be arrested, and bailed out by Vince McMahon. Then I flew to Atlanta to watch my mother die, and now a day later I am here. It has been a week from hell. People might say that a few victories aren't in the cards for me, but I beg to differ. I think just the opposite. If anything, my opponents should be upset that I got arrested, that I got into a car accident, that my mother died. These types of things motivate me. I'm not going to sit around and sulk about it, I'm going to do something about it. This is how I break down my matches. I gotta figure that Hardy and I win the Tag Team Titles. That is a lock. How could we not? We combine power, with high-flying ability. We are veterans, and the rest of these guys are mere rookies. Career midcarders. The New Blood has got this one in the bag. Now, as for the Cruiserweight Title. That also will belong to a member of the New Blood by the end of Last Rites. If Jeff or I don't win, I'll be suprised. We have to look out for Pezzer, though. When it comes to my T.V Title match, I have to look out for one man, and that man is Diamond Dallas Page. Depending on who you ask he is "Pound for pound the best wrestler to grace the WWE". That was all in the past. The only Emperor's Crown champ. That's bullshit. I don't care what titles he owned previous to me being here. The point is, he has never faced me, so as far as I'm concerned, we are equals. We are equal until we get into the ring, then we will judge who is the better wrestler.

The words "It's me! It's me, it's DDP!" can be heard throughout the stadium and Diamond Dallas Page himself walks out onto the entrance ramp.

Diamond Dallas Page
You know, kid, you remind me alot of myself at the beginning of my career. You're out here talking alot of shit, flapping your gums as if you were something. But let me tell you something. You aint! You don't know who you're messin' with. I'm the great DDP! I am going to give you one hell of a hard time in our match, and there is this saying I was taught. Respect your elders, and you might be walking that line, son.

The Hunter
You're right, you're right. Respect the elders. I almost forgot. Last time I checked, elders meant people who are older, so referring to yourself as an elder, Diamond, wasn't exactly saying 'Checkmate'. Maybe you're trying to tell yourself it's a little passed your time. Your a little too old for this, DDP. You're not good enough anymore for the big matches---

Diamond Dallas Page
You better watch it. I'm just warming up. You like to talk about how good you are because you were a Triple Champion, well, kid, I am going to make sure that never happens again in my path to becoming World Champion, as well as T.V. Champion.

The Hunter
Are you sure you want to be T.V. Champ? I mean, you have to defend that baby every night, I don't know if your old sack of bones can handle it!

Just then, somebody walks up behind DDP as the crowd cheers, because it's Pezzer.

Pezzer
I don't know why you two babies are whining about each other, because we all know neither of you are going to win the match! I am going to win both of those matches, Hunter, so don't get all excited. I taught you alot, but nothing close to what I know.

The Hunter
That's nice to hear, because you taught me nothing.

Pezzer
That's even better because that is that much less you can use against me!

The Hunter
The thing you both fail to realize is that I have been preparing for this match like no other, and you haven't seen a glimmer of what I can do. If you two will excuse me, I can't spend all day out here bickering with you two.

The Hunter tossed the microphone back to the announcer's table, and walked out of the arena toward the backstage. He is walking past Vince McMahon's locker room, and a few members of Mindcrime walked out at the same time, and they bumped into each other.

Tank Edge
Look who it is, Ness. It's that bitch the Hunter. Grab a chair. Let's teach this kid a lesson about a real fight.

The Hunter
You want a real fight? Give me one of you, no more of this double team shit. Come on, just one of you.

Ness
That's not how it's going to work...

Ness lifts the chair up, and Vince walks out of his office.

Vince McMahon
What is going on out here?

Ness swung the chair, and the Hunter ducked, dodging the swing from Ness. The chair goes right into the face of Vince! Ness nailed Vince with a chairshot to the face!

Tank Edge
Aw, look what you did moron! Let's get out of here!
