Sara Pettis | "Becoming My Own Person" |

The scene opens in a graveyard in Ozone Park, New York. It was inside these brick walls XCW held it's first and only fed wide Buried Alive Battle Royal. It is also here that one of XCW, and SFT's greatest rests for eternity. Becky Thompson Schorg, lost her battle with ovarian cancer, and was laid to rest here by her husband Will. At her grave site, a group of people stand embraced together looking at the marker of the wrestling legend. They are Will Schorg, Jane Schorg, Sara Pettis, Ricky Schorg, and Chris Schorg, Becky's family. Will has aged alot since the last time he was seen. The loss of his second wife, and mother of his twin sons has done alot of damage to him emotionally. His hair is long and white, and the wrinkles on his face are like canyons running from his eyes. The children are all grown up around him. Ricky and Chris are in their mid-teens, and each has a look of their own. While Ricky has mostly traits of their father, Chris looks so much like their mother, sometimes Will thinks he can see her looking at him through Chris. Jane has become a young woman, resembling Will's first wife Stephanie, another name and face that haunts Will through his offspring. And then there is Sara. Will's step-daughter that he has raised since Becky's death. At first Will looked at her, and he saw her mother every time. But over the years, the fact that she is a Pettis has shown itself. She no longer resembles Becky as much, as she does her father, SFT Legend Amp. At first this bothered Will, almost taunting him as he treated her as one of his own, while Amp stayed as far away as possible. He was forced to be her only support with both her parents gone from her life. He hated the fact that Amp was far too comfortable with the idea of his daughter being raised by Will. He never told anyone, especially not Sara. Sara loved her step-father, and was crushed when it was explained to her that Will wasn't her real father when she was a child. Now in her late-teens, and just having graduated high school that day, she stands next to him, at her mother's grave, as they hold each other with her two brothers, and her step-sister.

"She'd be proud of you kiddo." Will tells his step daughter. "I'm proud of you too."

"Thanks, dad." Sara replies. Ever since she was told the truth of her coming into exsistence, she's felt alittle weird calling him that. But without her real father in her life, and the bond she feels at this moment, it feels alright to her.

"So what are you going to do now Sary?" Sara's step-sister Jane asks, using the nickname she has called her since they were little.

Sara isn't sure how to respond. In school, she was a scholar student, graduating in the top ten in her class. She was also a tremedous athlete, a trait she picked up from both her mother and father. She played Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, all the sports high school girls tend to play. She also successfully made the Varsity wrestling team, and finished ranked third in the state, due to training from her step-father, and many of his wrestling friends who had amatuer wrestling backgrounds. Because of all this, she had been offered full ride scholarships to all sorts of great colleges, including Cambridge, Yale, Havard, and Norte Dame. But none of these places interested her much. Unknown to Will, she had begun professional wrestling training at a local federation and was enjoying it a lot. She knew Will would never approve of her becoming a professional wrestling. She knew her mother would've never approved of it either. The trials of the wrestling world had done a toll to her family, and seeing yet another member go down that road was something Will Schorg would never allow. Sara always thought back to the time Will had caught Ricky and Chris pretend wrestling in the basement on his training mats, and how upset he was. But everytime she looked at the XCW Title belt, laying on the mantle of the fireplace with her mother's name engraved on the plate, she longed to have a piece of that glory, of that fame.

"Still haven't decided which one yet, have ya?" Will says, snapping Sara from her thoughts, "I don't blame you, it's a fine list too choose from."

"Yea, I guess it is." Sara says unenthusiasticly. "I wish mom, was still around to help me with this."

"We all do kid." Will responds.

The group stands in silence, all focused on Sara. She kneels down, and takes a picture of herself as she recieved her diploma, and places it on the marker.

"Guys, why don't you let me and Sara talk alone for a moment?" Will asks his other children, who all oblige. Will kneels down and pulls in closely to Sara, and begins to whisper to her. "Your mother loved you more then anything else. If she had to give up her entire life as Ice, to be with you she would have done it. People say she lived to wrestle, but every moment she was away from you when she was wrestling, she was aching inside. Believe me when I say this, she doesn't want you too make the same mistakes she did. You need to go to college."

Sara doesn't respond on the outside, she just sighs and asks her step-father, "How'd you know?"

"Your Uncle Nate caught your last show, he didn't tell you he was their because he didn't want you too be concious of how you did. He was scouting talent. He told me about your ring name too. Sara 'Amplified' Thompson? How'd you come up with that one?"

"Just sorta came to me." Sara says smiling. She looks at Will, and sees his stone cold look, and immediately the smile fades. "So, what did he say?"

"It doesn't matter. You're going to college."

Sara doesn't say anything, she just gives her step-father a look.

"You know, nobody has tried that on me since your mother." Will responds. "But it isn't going to work. I promised her I wasn't going to let you go down that road. The same goes for Ricky, Chris, and Jane."

"Will..." Sara says, setting off immediate alarms in Will's head. Sara only ever called him that when she was really upset with him. It was sort of like her own personal trump card against him. But she never used it in the manner shes using it now. She had only ever done it while screaming in the middle of a stupid arguement. And she always regretted using it. But this time she said it calmly, and almost in a unaudible tone. "...I love you. And I respect what you're trying to do. I respect the fact that you made this promise to mom, and that you are trying to keep it. But come on, you know wrestling is in my blood. My mother did it, my...'father' did it. And you do it. It's all I've ever wanted to do. Please Will. I beg you, let me live my dream. Let me live my life how I want to live it."

Will takes in her words. And sighs. He nods a simple "ok" to Sara, and places his hand on her shoulder.

"But you have to work for yourself. I'm not going to help you. I'm not going to train you, I'm not going to get you into the business. You're a grown woman now, and if you are going to make this decision, you're going to have to live with it like a grown woman."

Sara nods. Together they stand up, and Will tells her to go back to the group with his other children. He looks at the marker infront of him, and simply whispers, "I'm sorry, I tried," and hangs his head somewhat dissapointed. He turns around, and walks away joining his group of children. The camera pans back to the marker, and the photo as it sits on top of it. The wind picks up and eventually blows it off the marker as the scene fades to black.
