*One Hour after the Phone Call*

~ Heff, Jennefer, and Lilly are all sitting around at a restuarant table. A little over an hour ago, Jennefer had been at Heather's old place, picking up the reference letter for the adoption. But as she sat in the apartment, she got more than she bargained for. Steve had called, hoping to reach Heather. As Jennefer listened to the message, Steve declared his love for Jennefer's raven-haired friend. Jennefer knew geniune love when she heard it, and quickly picked up the phone. They had arranged this meeting, and now Jennefer sat with her friends, telling them what she had heard. Lilly had a skeptical frown on her face, but Heff was already deep in thought. This was exactly the opening she had been waiting for. Jennefer was optimistic and eager to hear what Steve had to say. Five more minutes pass, and Steve finally strolls in. The girls look up and are all taken aback. They had forgotten how gorgeous he was. His ice-blue eyes were full of emotion as he locked them with each of Heather's friends, his brown hair specked with white from the snow that had fallen on it. He was wearing a big, heavy black coat and black pants. His big, muscular frame was still fit, and there was no line or wrinkle on his face to betray his age, which was a lot older than people would have guessed. Heff and Lilly examined him briskly, but Jennefer threw him a soft smile and invited him to sit down next to her. He did so slowly, not taking his eyes off any of the girls. ~

Steve Jason
I guess Jennefer has explained why we're all here.

Jennefer York
I have, of course. And we agreed that it was only fair that you tell us what you have to say before we tell you what you should do.

Lilly Jones
You sure as hell have something worth hearing.

Steve Jason
You three have no reason to trust me. God knows, I've screwed things up with Heather... MANY, many times, I know, Lilly. You don't have to remind me. But the fact of the matter is, I've finally come to a point in my life where I know what I want, and what I need. And Heather... She is what I want AND need. I really, truly, love her. Don't get me wrong. You three are the loves of her lives. Any guy is lucky to come in second next to the three of you. But I really want to be that guy. I've never let myself feel this strongly about anyone since my ex wife. So I'm willing to do anything I can to get Heather back. I'll fly to Paris, I'll sweep her off her feet and bring her back home to New York, and more importantly, to the three of you. But I don't want to screw things up for her. I've done that enough to last her a lifetime. So I ask you three, the ones who know her best. Is she really happy with this guy? Should I stay away and let her be happy? Or do I still have a chance of recapturing her heart?

~ All three women sit silent. Lilly is still giving him a critical look, but seems to be warming up. Jennefer places a hand gently on his soulder, fearful of what to say, for she didn't truly know. Heff, on the other hand, was arguing in her own head. She knew from the phone call that Heather was still madly in love with Steve, even if she didn't say so out loud. She looked between her two friends, who just shrugged at her. Heff had a choice to make, and she didn't want to make the wrong one, as she knew it could cost Heather her happiness and even her friendship if she ever found out it was Heff who told Steve this information. Finally, she leans across the table and looks Steve straight in the eyes. Jennefer and Lilly hold their breath, thinking that Heff was about to drop the bomb to Steve. And in many ways... She was. ~

Heff Hobbes
Steve... Go get our girl!

*Meanwhile, In Paris*

~ Heather entered the posh cafe full of trepidation. She was about to meet Raz's ex-wife. Raz was going to be meeting them there sometime soon. The two still got along very well, and Raz decided it was time for her and Carrie to meet. Heather had only heard a few things about Elipses, but she knew that Raz still held her in the highest of esteem. She spotted her quickly. She was a beautiful, dark haired woman with very exotic looks. She was dressed in a cat-suit type deal with a red leather jacket covering it. Her dark hair was pulled in a tight bun. Heather walked towards her and stopped in front of the table. Elipses looked up and smiled graciously at Heather, standing as well and extending her hand. Heather took it and the two shook hands. ~

Elipses Petrovsky
Heather Bradshaw, what a pleasure to finally meet you at last.

Heather Bradshaw
And you as well. You are every bit as beautiful as Raz said.

Elipses Petrovsky
As you are you, dear. Please, have a seat. Would you like a cigarette?

Heather Bradshaw
I'd love one. So.. It's so nice to see that you and Raz still get along.

Elipses Petrovsky
We had a beautiful marriage indeed. But I got tired his art always being more important than the family... I'm sure you know how this feels by now, no?

~ Heather takes a drag, but doesn't say anything. The fact that they hadn't even been talking five minutes, and Elipses had not only struck a nerve, but made a valid point, got to her. Elipses noticed her hesitation to reply and changed the subject politely. ~

Elipses Petrovsky
So how are you enjoying France so far?

Heather Bradshaw
Oh, its wonderful! I absolutely adore everything about it. This cafe is so awesome, I love it.

Elipses Petrovsky
It's hideous with the renovations. But everyone's taste is different. I must say, I love that handbag of yours.

Heather Bradshaw
Oh, thank you! It's vintage, I've got a passion for old-fashioned things.

Elipses Petrovsky
Indeed... So Raz tells me you have recently published a book?

Heather Bradshaw
Yes, I have. It's basically some of my best stories from the column I used to write, put down in a book.

Elipses Petrovsky
Yes... I shall have to read it one day. ~ Elipses cuts off as her phone begins to ring. She looks at the idea and smirks. ~ Ah, excuse me. It's lover Raz now.

~ Heather takes another drag from her cigarette as Elipses talks on the phone. She doesn't try to listen, as Elipses is speaking in French. Elipses nods a few times, and hangs up. She looks at Heather with a cynical smile. ~

Elipses Petrovsky
He apologizes greatly, but he isn't able to make it. The museum is keeping him longer. This is typical Raz, is it not?

~ Heather nods, feeling disappointment, once again, seep through her body. Nevertheless, she smiles at Elipses and enjoys lunch with the beautiful woman. ~

* The Next Day *

~ Heather and Raz are standing outside a snack and magazine cart. Heather is snacking on a foot long hot dog, while Raz is reading one of the newspapers. There is silence between them. Finally, Raz closes the paper and smiles warmly at Heather ~

Raz Petrovsky
Someone got rave reviews.

Heather Bradshaw
Oooh, your reviews are in already?

Raz Petrovsky
Oh god, no. Don't remind me of that. I'm talking about you. Elipses absolutely loved you. She said you were beautiful and very chic.

Heather Bradshaw
Oh, how great! I'm glad, I liked her as well. She's very smart and beautiful.

Raz Petrovsky
That she is.. Oh, excuse me, I have to take this.

~ Heather finishes her hot dog and lights up a cigarette as Raz takes his call. She looks around, wondering how the two are going to spend the day. Raz hangs up, and an all too familar look of regret is on his face. ~

Raz Petrovsky
I'm sorry, darling. But I have to get to the museum.

Heather Bradshaw
Oh, no. I thought we were going to spend the day together.

Raz Petrovsky
I'm sorry, but something is going on, and they need me right away at the museum. You go out, have fun, go see the sights and go to the museums. Enjoy yourself.

Heather Bradshaw
I have already seen all the museums and sights. I just want to spend time with you now.

Raz Petrovsky
I promise, after this weekend, I'm all yours. Honest.

~ Raz kisses her cheek quickly and gets into a taxi. As it pulls away, Heather looks around, wondering what she's going to do now. She walks slowly along, window shopping, resisting the urge to max out her credit card. She stops in front of a little book shop, and smiles as she sees her own face staring back up at her. Her own book is on display in the window. Eager to see what her own works would look like in French, she goes inside the shop and picks up a copy. She stands off to the side, reading it, or trying to. As she's looking at the book, the petit, pretty girl who works there comes up to her. ~

Work Girl
May I 'elp you, madame?

Heather Bradshaw
What? Oh, no... I'm just looking at this...

Work Girl
Wait... You... You are "Eather Bradshaw!

Heather Bradshaw
Yes... Hi.

Work Girl
I... I love your book! My name is Annaliese, and I am, 'ow do you say, a single girl.

Heather Bradshaw
Oh, well I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Annaliese
Pierre! Pierre, look at 'oo it eez!

Pierre
What eez it, Anna... OH! "Eather Bradshaw! You writes about zee sex! I 'ave zee sex.. Anna 'as zee sex! We all 'ave zee sex!

~ Heather tries not to laugh, since she knows what Pierre is going on about. The two young people continue to chatter excitedly about how much they love her book, as well as their friends. After a while, they beg her to honor them by coming to a party they want to throw in her honor on Saturday. Heather, finally feeling happy for the first time in Paris, accepts the invitation and leaves the shop. They have given her the book for free, and are just as excited about Saturday as Heather now is. ~

* That Night at Dinner *

Heather Bradshaw
So I walk into that bookshop, and I stumble over my fan club. All two memebers of them. They claim they have friends who like the book as well, and they want me to join them for dinner on Saturday. Whether they actually like me or not is questionable, but it's so nice to see that I have fans.

Raz Petrovsky
Saturday... That's when my exhibit opens.

Heather Bradshaw
Oh... Oh, did you want me to come with you? Because I'm not going to lie, I really want to go to this party.

Raz Petrovsky
No no... It's okay, I can go by myself. You go to your party, and be surrounded and adored by your screaming.

Heather Bradshaw
Thank you so much, sweetie! Ooh, I hope that they are screaming!

~ Heather jumps up from the table when the phone starts ringing. She answers it happily. The tearful voice of Jennefer on the other line brings her crashing back down to reality. ~

Jennefer York
The people came, Heather... We were so excited, it was going to be a girl. But... They changed their mind... They wanted to keep the baby. I know I shouldn't be upset, and I wasn't at first. But 504 was in the office today, writing an angry letter to our baby lawyer. He is so down about this, he was crying, he thinks god lost our address...

Heather Bradshaw
Sweetie, I'm so sorry... What about the China kids?

Jennefer York
The baby lawyer said it could take up to a year before we get anything. Heather, what am I going to do? I want a baby so badly!

Heather Bradshaw
I wish I was there to help you, sweetie. Don't worry. God HASN'T forgotten your address. You WILL get your baby.

*Saturday Night*

~ Heather is sweeping around the hotel room, getting ready to meet her fans for dinner at a cozy little restuarant. She's calling out to Raz, telling him a few things before she goes. Annoyed when she doesn't get any answers, she walks out into the living room, putting in an earring at the same time. She stops short when she sees Raz trying to put his cufflink on, his hands shaking. He's pale, and looks extremely nervous. She walks over to him and sits next to him, putting a hand gently on his shoulder. ~

Heather Bradshaw
Are you alright?

Raz Petrovsky
It's this cufflink, I can't get it on... I think I'm having an anxiety attack or something...

Heather Bradshaw
Here, let me get that for you. Put your head in between your legs and breathe, everything is going to be okay.

Raz Petrovsky
Will you come with me?

Heather Bradshaw
Go with you? But Raz... My party, I don't have any phone numbers to cancel...

Raz Petrovsky
Please? I can't do this without you. I need you there.

Heather Bradshaw
I... Okay, I will go with you.

Raz Petrovsky
Thank you so much, darling. I promise, I'll make this up to you. And I won't let go of your hand all night long.

~ Heather nods, trying not to let her disappointment show too much. On the way to the museum, she brainstormed possible ways to get out early enough to make her party, even if she was a little late. When they got there, the museum currator and several critics were already observing Raz's work. He looks at Heather nervously and squeezes her hand lightly. She smiles encouragingly and walks forward with him. One of the critics look up and sees them standing there and starts clapping loudly. The others see him and follow his lead, clapping and cheering for Raz. Raz turns to Heather again and beams. Heather smiles happily as the group of people walks toward them. The currator offers Raz his hand, and Raz, completely forgetting his promise to Heather, lets go of her hand to shake his. Heather struggles to keep smiling as the group walks away, completely ignoring her. She sits down and waits for several minutes. Time passes slowly as the group goes from one display to another. Heather grows more upset, and pulls out a cigarette. Just as she starts to light it, one of the guards come up to her and tells her she cannot smoke in there. Heather smirks and puts her cigarette away. ~

Heather Bradshaw
Figures this is the one place if Paris you can't smoke at.

~ Heather is fumbling in her back and finds a hole. Ready to cry at her luck, she messes with it for a few minutes before she feels something inside of it. She narrows her eyes and digs around for a second before she finally pulls out a keychain. Her eyes light up with joy as she realizes what it is. It's a picture of her, Heff, Lilly, and Jenn, with their names inscribed in a circle to represent their never ending friendship. Heather squeals with excitement, as she thought she had lost it a long time ago. She looks up happily to tell Raz, but realized that he would care at all right now. She looks back down and holds the keychain tightly in her hand. Making a decision, she gets up quickly, and tells the security guard to tell Raz where she went. Running quickly, she tries to hail a cab, but none will stop. She stops in the street for a minute, looking around, her back turned to the oncoming cars. As chance would have it, Steve's taxi pulls up right beside her, but Steve doesn't bother to look out the window. He looks ahead, concentrating on finding Heather. Just as Heather turns around, Steve's cab pulls away, and Heather misses him. She finally finds her way to the restuarant where she was supposed to meet her fans. She runs inside and looks around, not seeing them. She goes over to the bus boy and starts to ask him if he's seen her group, but she looks down at a table and sees the remains of what had been a big group. On the table is her book, a wine stain on it. Her heart sinks, and she walks out of the restuarant, and catches a taxi back to the hotel. When she gets there, Raz is already back, waiting for her. ~

Raz Petrovsky
Heather.. Where did you go? I thought you were going to be with me tonight?

Heather Bradshaw
I was, because I was under the impression that you weren't going to let go of my hand. But I figured that when you did, you didn't need me anymore, I went to my party.

Raz Petrovsky
I figured as much. How as it?

Heather Bradshaw
Over... It was over, Raz. Tell me, what am I even here for?

Raz Petrovsky
What do you mean? You are here because you are my lover.

Heather Bradshaw
You haven't been acting very much like one ever since we got here. I thought that we would get to spend more time together. But no, I've had to go to museums alone, eat alone. You even left me with your ex-wife alone! And why? So you can go play with your lights!

Raz Petrovsky
I'm tired, Heather. I'm going to take a shower and go to sleep and we can talk about this in the morning.

Heather Bradshaw
NO, Raz! We are going to talk about this now! I'm in this relationship too, and it's time you started treating me like I was!

~ Heather steps in front of Raz to block him from going to the bathroom. Raz raises his hand and slaps her. As soon as he does it, he looks sorry. Heather is holding her cheek, looking at him in shock. Raz steps forward and starts rubbing her shoulder. ~

Raz Petrovsky
Heather... I'm so sorry...

~ He rubs her shoulder very hard. His thumb hits her neckalace and causes it to break. Heather lets out a small cry as she tries to catch the small diamonds that fall down her dress. She looks up again, feelling neither anger or sadness. ~

Raz Petrovsky
Heather... When we came here, I thought I made it very clear what would happen. When we started this relationship, I thought it was clear who I was.

Heather Bradshaw
Well, now it's time for me to make it clear who I am. I am just a girl from New York who is... looking for love. I want accidental, inconvienent, can't-live-without, unconditional love. And that's not here. It's not here in this beautiful hotel room, it's not in Paris. I made a mistake coming here. I'm gonna go.

~ Raz doesn't try to object as Heather gathers her purse. She walks slowly over to him and gives him a soft kiss on the cheek in farewell. As she walks out of the door, she holds back the tears, feeling her heart being torn to shreds. She goes to the reception desk and begins to, with mounting frustration, ask for a new room and for her stuff to be moved. As she's talking, her purse falls to the floor and some items spill out of it. Sighing, she squats down to pick it all up. As she's doing this, Steve happens to walk into the hotel. He looks straight ahead and sees Heather sitting there, trying to collect everything. He smiles at the irony of this, as the first time him and Heather had ever met, someone had just bumped into her, and he was helping her pick her personal items off the ground. Heather feels his eyes on her and looks up and sees him. ~

Heather Bradshaw
Hi...

Steve Jason
Are you okay?

Heather Bradshaw
Yeah..

~ Heather nods, but starts to cry as she does. Steve hurries over and kneals beside her, wrapping an arm around her and rubbing her shoulders. Heather begins to cry hard. Steve stands her up, and holds her close to him, running a hand through her hair and allowing her to cry. ~

Steve Jason
Baby, what happened?

Heather Bradshaw
Me and Raz... We got into a fight... He slapped me and we broke up... Nothing has been going right since I came here, I made such a mistake by coming here. I'm such a fool.

Steve Jason
He hit you? What room were you staying in?

Heather Bradshaw
Yes... What? No, I'm not telling you that! Why do you want to know?

Steve Jason
When I find him, he's going to be one bloody Russian.

Heather Bradshaw
Steve, let it go, it wasn't like that.

Steve Jason
What room were you guys in, Heather?

Heather Bradshaw
No, I'm not telling you that.

Receptionist
Miss Bradshaw! I see that you were in room 625!

Steve Jason
625? Thank you very much, sir.

~ Before Heather can grab him to stop him, Steve is walking quickly towards the elevators. Heather makes a choking noise in her throat of disbelief and runs after him. Steve is impatiently pushing the button to the elevator. When it doesn't come fast enough, he turns to the door on his left and starts taking the stairs. Heather follows him, yelling at him the whole way. ~

Heather Bradshaw
Steve, stop! Honestly, it's not a big deal, he didn't mean to hit me!

Steve Jason
Do I look like I care? No one lays a hand on you and gets away with it.

Heather Bradshaw
Steve, please! You're going to make an idiot out of yourself, just stop!

Steve Jason
I might make an ass out of myself, but at least I'll have introduced that little Russian twerp to my knuckles.

Heather Bradshaw
You're too old for this, Steve! You'll have a heart attack climbing all these stairs, then getting into a fight! You'll die! You're old man body can't handle this anymore!

Steve Jason
Nothing you say is gonna stop me from doing what I have to do, Heather. So just give up.

~ They reach the floor that room 625 is on. Heather panics slightly as they get closer to the room. Without thinking about it, Heather sticks out her foot and trips Steve. Steve falls over, taking Heather with him. The two lay on the floor for a moment, stunned. Steve looks at Heather, and Heather looks back at him. At the same time, the two start laughing hysterically. Heather rolls over on to her stomach and laughs loudly, while Steve stays on his back and puts his hands over his face. Neither one can stop laughing, even as Steve helps Heather up. The two manage to quiet their laughter down enough to walk out to the lobby. Steve gives Heather is coat, as hers is very light and the night is a chilly one. They are walking close together. They stop at a romantic setting: a little stone bridge, over looking a river that's lit up brightly by the sitting lights. Heather looks up into Steve's handsome face and deeply into those ice-blue eyes she loves so much. Sighing, she reaches out and touches his face softly. ~

Heather Bradshaw
So what are you doing in Paris? You're the last person I expected to see here.

Steve Jason
I had to come find you. I've already talked to Heff, Jennefer, and Lilly. They told me where I could find you.

Heather Bradshaw
Why would they do something like that?

Steve Jason
They were taking a gamble. They want you to be happy, Heather. As do I. It's taken me a long time to get to where I am. You and me... We've gone through so much in the past 6 years. I just can't picture life without you anymore. Nor do I want to. I love you, Heather. You're the one.

~ The words Heather had been wanting to hear from Steve finally escaped his lips. She searched his eyes to see if his words held any truth. For the first time, there was no wall blocking her from seeing everything he was. She could see into his heart and soul, and it was there. She truly was the one. And something she'd been trying to deny finally took over her body as she fell into his arms. ~

Heather Bradshaw
Oh... Just kiss me, you big softie!

~ Steve gathered Heather's petite frame in his strong, muscular arms and inclined his head to brush her lips. They met softly at first, but soon, their love for each other had them engaging in one of the most heart-searing, passionate kisses either one had ever exchanged with anyone. They stood on the bridge in each others arms, kissing as passionately as they could, making up for lost time that should have been theirs. When they finally broke it to catch their breath, Heather smiled up at Steve.~

Heather Bradshaw
Take me home!

* Several Hours Later, 1 AM New York Time *

~ Steve's car pulls up to the curb next to Heather's apartment. Pedro is in the front smiling, as Heather and Steve had done nothing but stare at each other the whole car ride to her place, exchanging little kisses. Heather stares up longinly at her place, happy to be home. Everything felt so right again. She smiled at Steve and slid out of the car and just stood on the sidewalk looking up at the apartment. Steve rolled down the window, and Heather turned around to him, smiling. He grinned back at her. ~

Steve Jason
You know, I sold my place when I moved to Napa. And the Ritz won't take reservations after midnight...

Heather Bradshaw
Is that so? Were you wanting to come up, then?

~ Heather is grinning widely now, and Steve doesn't even bother to coceal the slyness in his smile. ~

Steve Jason
Abso-fucking-lutely.

~ Heather bites her bottom lip as she smiles. Steve gets out of the car and puts his arm securely around Heather's waist. They head up the stairs of her apartment. Outside her door, she searches for her key. When she finds it, she opens the door and they walk in. Niether one barely puts down anything thats in their hands before they are kissing passionately, heading towards the bed, eagerly taking off each others clothes to spend the night making love that was long overdue for both of them. ~

* The next morning *

~ Heather wakes up the next morning and smiles to see Steve next to her. She leans over and kisses him softly, then gets up out of her bed and gets dressed. She sticks a note on the phone, telling him where she went. She walks outside into the cold, winter New York air, and hails a taxi. As if everything about her luck was different, a taxi stops on her first attempt. She tells him where to go, and 10 minutes later, she's in front of a familar diner. She peaks in the window and smiles to see that Heff, Jenn, and Lilly are already inside. She walks quietly inside, a huge smile on her face, and just savors the view of her friends for a moment. Heff looks up and seeing Heather, screams out in joy. Lilly and Jenn turn around quickly, and their faces light up as well, as they join in Heff's joyous screaming. Heather screams as well, and meets her friends half-way across the diner to engage in a very clingy group hug. Patrons stare in amazement, some in annoyance, at the four happily screaming women. Finally, they settle down, and Heather takes her usual place next to Heff. ~

Heff Hobbes
Oh my god, I'm so happy you are home! Why didn't you tell us last night, when you got here?

Heather Bradshaw
I wanted to surprise you guys.

Lilly Jones
Good fucking job!

Heather Bradshaw
So, one at at a time... Tell me how your lives are going!

Heff Hobbes
Well... I just won the biggest case of the year for my client. I got promoted to one of the top in the agency. Formico and I finally have the house organized and livable. Little Brady is finally talking, and I couldn't be happier.

Heather Bradshaw
That is so great... What about you Lilly?

Lilly Jones
Well, I'm still with Sean. I told him that while he was on the set of his movie, he could have sex with any of the extras. But he sent me these flowers, and I realized just how much I am in love with him. Yes, I am in love with him. So I called him and asked him not to sleep with any other girls, and he didn't. But he came home a week early, and told me that he forgot to tell me something over the phone. When I asked him what, he said he had forgotten to tell me he loved me. Isn't that the sweetest thing?

Heather Bradshaw
Coming from you, that is amazing. I guess Jennefer was right all along. We all found love, and now our lives are falling into place... Speaking of Jenn, how goes the baby search?

Jennefer York
Well, I was about to tell the girls this before you came in. Me and 504 got a letter in the mail last night. I was joking around, telling him that I was a bad wife and ordered Chinese. He didn't answer, he seemed to be looking at something in shock. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he got something from China, too... ~Jenn carefully pulls a picture out of her purse of a baby Chinese girl. The girls look up at Jenn's eyes fill with tears.~ We get her in 3 months. We're going to name her Ariella.

Heff Hobbes
Honey, that is so wonderful. Now... Heather, we told you about our lives... What happened that made you come back?

Heather Bradshaw
Well... The night before, Raz and I got into a fight. He slapped me, UNINTENTIONALLY, and I realized that it just wasn't right. The relationship, being with him. It wasn't meant to be. I finally realized what I wanted, and it wasn't in that room. So I went to the lobby, and who should walk in but Steve. I told him what happened, and he was set to kick Raz's ass for a little slap. I tripped him and we finally made our way outside the hotel. He told me that you girls told him where to find me, which I thank you for, by the way. He told me he loved me, and I realized that the love I was looking for was in him. So he brought me home.

~ The girls grow silent as they stare at each other and smile. They let the pleasent silence rule them for a minute before the chattering starts up again. They spend hours catching up, before the owners of the diner kindly ask them to leave. They put on their coats, and walk out. Refusing to break step with each other, the four women, each one representing something so different, but all with the same goals in the long run, walk towards very bright futures..... ~

~ I woke up quickly as I felt the plane bump the ground. I looked over groggily at Tegan, who was also just waking up. We had arrived in Texas, where I was dropping off my niece to my sister. I had spent the week taking care of Steve, who was semi-blind from a fireball blast he took at the PPV. I had also spent the week training for my triple threat match. My next stop would be Anarchy. I was ready for anything, and I couldn't wait to get back to Steve. But as I thought about the odd dream I had just had, I felt a smile tug at my lips. If this dream was an indicator of the way things were going to happen in my future, then I was in for some interesting times ~
