~ I glanced over at my sister in the passenger seat. Despite her resolve, there was a lit cigarette in her hand, and she was gazing dolefully out the window. She wasn't happy with me, and I knew it. Heff, my best friend and soul sister, had her legs crossed in the backseat, and I knew her attitude matched my sisters. Sighing, I turned the CD off and let the silence of my two best friends and sisters fill the car. Heff fidgeted slightly, making a big deal of switching one leg to the other. Holly finished her cigarette and flicked it out the window, reaching into her bag to get some gum. Heff was staring at me through the rear view mirror. I could tell that she was dying to ask the questions I told her not to ask. Letting out another frustrated sigh, I finally broke the silence. ~

Heather Halliwell

Go ahead and ask me, you two. I know you want to, and if there is any more of this silence, I'll scream.

~ Holly continued to ignore me, and showed me this by lighting up another cigarette. Heff, on the other hand, leaned forward in her seat and rested her arms against the back. ~

Heff Bentley

Why are you making us go see your ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend? Shouldn't we have met Sean while the two of you were actually an item?

Heather Halliwell

Better now than never, right? Look at it like this: You and Holly, up until recently, have always been the most important people in my life. You still are the two people I care about the most. Anyone else is lucky to come in second next to the two of you. But there ARE people in second now. Steve is obviously one. I love him... Like I've NEVER loved any man I've ever been with. He makes me feel complete, like I finally found that missing link that was keeping me from being a whole woman. He makes me feel like a woman. The other one is Sean. He's like my older brother, just as you, Heff, are my sister. I could no more live without having him in my life than I could you, Holly, and Steve.

Heff Bentley

But after all the shit he's put you through? I mean, he yanked you along while being married to Destiny. This time, he goes behind your back with Lilly...

Heather Halliwell

To be fair, I should have known better. When "Destiny" came back, I should have gotten closer to Sean instead of seperating myself. I ran to Steve, instead, knowing that he would be there to catch me in his arms. Inside myself, I knew that if I went to Steve, that everything that has happened WOULD happen. And that calm voice inside my head told me that it was the right thing to do from the start.

Heff Bentley

Yeah, but it's okay if you run off. You're our girl, we'll forgive YOU. Sean totally used you for sex when his marriage to Destiny was going to hell. He didn't care about you at all, he just wanted some of that Southern pussy to get away from what he had.

Holly Halliwell

I am trying to see this from both sides. I mean, true, Sean turned to Lilly the same time you turned to Steve. But honestly, he was yanking your chain around before you even MET Steve. I mean, all this business with Destiny... I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with the fake one that magically appeared.

Heather Halliwell

To be honest, I thought that as well. But at the same time, it isn't fair to accuse him when he is genuinely trying to change his life. I mean, he loves Lilly, he adores Katie, and he just wants to be a family man for both of them.

Holly Halliwell

Why couldn't he do it with you, though?

Heather Halliwell

We're too different... Him and Lilly, their backgrounds are the same, they are one and the same person. They belong together, and both Sean and I saw that. Instead of trying to hang onto my pride, when I had no right to do so, I let go of one flame to rekindle another. Steve is my match, in every way a man and a woman could be. So are Sean and Lilly.

Heff Bentley

It's gonna be interesting to see how close this brother-sister bond between you two is at Bad Medicine. You know full well Sean is going to be in Lilly's corner, right?

Heather Halliwell

I know that. And he knows that I am going to remain loyal and firm behind the Unkillables - and New Waves - corners. The last thing I intend to do is let circumstances as trivial as this tear apart a friendship.

Holly Halliwell

What about Clio? Isn't she like, really tight with Lilly? You know full well that Lilly will choose her friend over you.

Heather Halliwell

I know how close Clio and Lilly are. Me and Lilly might not get that close, but I intend on making her as tight as a sister. Same with Jennefer Jetson. Me and Jen might not have the best history, but that was then.

~ I ended the conversation there, as Lilly's hosue came into sight. Right away, I saw Sean's car and opted to park behind it. I knew he wouldn't be leaving anytime soon. At least not before me, Holly, and Heff. I parked and turned off my car. I turned to my sisters and gave them both a stern look. ~

Heather Halliwell

Now listen, you guys. I want you to give Sean and Lilly a fair chance. They are both going to be very involved in my life now, so there's no getting around them. You'd all have to meet eventually, so I would like it if you guys did now, before the fighting starts. I have no doubt that the next few days is going to strain relationships and make everyone tense with each other. But it's going to pass, I promise.

~ I looked between the two with big eyes. They looked at each other with the same mute defiance, then nodded. Sighing, I got out of the car, followed closely by my two friends. Going up to the door, I looked back to make sure they looked alright. They did, of course. Hollys blonde hair was in slight waves, that fell gracefully on her shoulders. She was wearing a red and orange flamed tank top over tight fitting blue jeans and pretty black sandals. Heffs red hair was pulled back in a pony tail. She wore blue jeans as well, with a Scooby Doo t-shirt. My own black hair was in two french-braided pigtails, and I was wearing black jeans and a blue tube top. I walked up to the door and rang the door bell. I was shifting from one foot to another waiting for someone to answer the door. Finally, Lilly answered, with Katie in her arm. Lilly looked spectacular, wearing hip hugging denim jeans, and a shirt that matched the blue in her eyes. Her hair was pulled back in a head band, and parted gracefully in the middle. She smiled and ushered us inside. ~

Tyger Lilly

Sorry that took so long! Someone decided to wake up from her nap just as you guys came to the door. Well, come in, I have to get Katie a bottle, but Sean is waiting in the living room.

~ Following Lilly's lead, I led my friends into the living room. Sean was sitting there, looking as handsome as usual. His face lit up when he saw me walk in, flanked closely by Holly and Heff. He stood up, smiling, and took me in his arms for a huge hug, kissing me on the cheek as he did so. I smiled and kissed his cheek back. Turning from him to my friends, I pointed out the obvious. ~

Heather Halliwell

You remember Heff and Holly, even if you haven't met them. Holly, Heff, I know you know Sean.

~ Both nodded mutely, but I couldn't help but notice the interest in their eyes as they observed him. Niether one had ever seen him in person before, so this was new to them. They didn't know the overbearing power he had over people around him. Today, they would finally get a feel for that. As Lilly re-entered the room, Katie in her arms, a warm feeling engulfed my body. I had a good feeling that everything was going to go well. Smiling, we made ourselves comfortable and spent the day getting to know each other, everyone of us, just a little bit more. ~
