About SBWA

• The San Bernardino Wrestling Association (SBWA) is made up of a group of volunteers from the Inland Empire Area and was formed in 2003.
• The SBWA is affiliated with the National AAU Wrestling Association.
• The SBWA goal is to provide a venue to host competitive wrestling tournaments for kids, high school Students and open age group wrestlers in the SB/Inland Empire.
• SBWA tournaments are held on Saturdays.
• The cost for an annual AAU card is $12.
• Tourney Fees are $8 for the first weight class and $5 for additional weight class.
• Weighins are from 7:30am - 8:30am.
• Wrestling begins at 9:30am.
• The tournaments are usually over by 2:00pm/3:00pm.
• We award medals to 1st through 3rd places at each tournament.
• Our tournaments have been averaging 200 + kids each week.
• The type of wrestling is FREESTYLE.
• Wrestling Division are KIDS, HIGH SCHOOL and OPEN age groups.
• Our tournament season starts in April and ends in August.
• Some wrestlers have a chance to wrestle at National Level tournaments.
• The SBWA provides financial assistance for some of the tournaments.
