Lita (aka Amy Christine Dumas), the renowned Queen of Xtreme, captivates crowds and grabs the attention of millions of screaming fans, and the reason why she does it, 'It just feels right'.
She is far from the customary image of the usual WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) Diva, a pretty face with little in-ring ability, always found on the arm of a Superstar. Lita's trademark Dragon Tattoo on her right shoulder (Which she got because she felt like it) and her staple dresscode of sleevless tops, flat soled shoes, baggy pants and visible thong hiked up around her waist set her far apart from the doll-like Divas like Torrie Wilson and Trish Stratus.
Another thing that brings appeal to Lita is her unique in-ring style, for she is the first female wrestler in the history of the business to ever master the Mexican lucha libre style of high risk ariel wrestling. This style of wrestling gives Lita an unfair advantage over not only other Divas, but male competitors as they have to change their usual strategy to deal with her Xtreme flexibilty and quickness.
While Lita is a talented athlete, she shares a tendency that her Xtreme associates Matt & Jeff Hardy are known for. She doesn't always looks before she leaps and often throws caution to the wind and attacks her opponent with no real plan of attack. This can often disadvantage her when dealing with tougher Divas such as Jazz, Victoria or Chyna. This also can have negative outcomes when she comes to the aid of the Hardy Boyz and Litacanranas their opponent, while this has proven effective at times, it has also been her downfall especially when they take on opponents like Kane and the Undertaker, who have effectively counted her attacks on them, and in 'Takers' case, turned her effective offense into a devastating Last Ride Powerbomb.
Few people take much notice of Lita, as she is one of the shortest Divas, at only 5"8' and 137lbs, Lita doesn't let this slow her down, even when taking on the 6"2' Stacy Kiebler, the 6"1' Chyna or the 6"0' Victoria.
Lita is also one of the few WWE Superstars to make the transition from Sports Entertainment to other forms of media. For Lita appeared in the final episode of Dark Angel "Freak Nation", where she appeared as Thula, the leader of a crack team of Commandos ordered to silence the dissident Freaks, particularly its impromptu leader Max.
Thula is probably Lita's darker, more sinister side, as she hunts down Max and her small group. When she finds her, Lita's lucha libre background shows when she fights Max. Thula even delivers a Litacanrana-or is that a Thulacanrana? to Max. Although Max ties Thula up and escapes, Jessica Alba (aka Max) said later on that Thula gave Max the beating of her life.
Lita unfortunately injured herself while performing the final fight scene, she fell on her neck while performing the Litacanrana (apparantly Lita isn't used to using that move on people shorter than herself), and suffered a broken C-5 vertebra which brought her wreslting career almost to a halt. But she didnt find out her neck was broken until she was referred to a doctor after 17-agonising days.
like a phoenix, Lita returned from her 'sacking' to become a contender for the WWE Womens Title once more.
