The original conception of the RBWF name began on August 2, 1999 when the man currently known as Ice Cold created the Rock Bottom Wrestling Federation as a Yahoo Club. This club served to hold what many would consider one of the greatest E-Federations in the history of Yahoo. Many of the wrestlers in the current RBWF were once roleplayers in the E-Fed. As E-Feds go however, it ran its course and by January 2001 it was closed.

The first "backyard" wrestling show put on by the RBWF took place on February 27, 2000. The event, entitled "RBWF: In Jerad's House" proved to be an exciting time for everyone involved, and the beginning of something that none of us knew would last this long.

Following the event we envisioned getting together once again to do a follow-up but as Jerad ended up moving from the area we had no location in which to perform. Over the summer of 2001 a couple matches took place, one at The Woodmaster's home, and one at Sexyboy's. Those were each just one match a piece and just something to do to pass the time. Finally finding time to perform once again Oct. 27, 2001 "RBWF Annihilation" took place at the Woodmaster's home. Featuring matches we could only dream of before (TLC, Basement Brawl, etc.) the event was a success for us as we had been itching for over a year to put it together. The only downside of the event was the hole put into The Woodmaster's wall, but it's quite amusing in retrospect, haha.

Assuming that we'd never have another RBWF event everything was stagnant for a few months . . . until the RBWF got the break of its existence. Through connections from Matt Martin we were, and are still currently able to rent the ring used by Mega Championship Wrestling. Our first event there occurred on May 26, 2002, and we've been back twice since. Over the past year the roster has taken on its share of newcomers as well. When it all started nobody would've ever believed that we would still be doing it now, and in this type of venue. Amazingly enough, a small number of people actually come and watch us as well. Who knows when the story will end . . . but for now, the RBWF is as strong as ever.
