Raw SmackDown! The Factz

Disclaimer: This story is based on a dream. I own the characters regardless of their names. The only thing that I don’t own are the talismans. Those are the property of the WB. (World of Wonder Store) 13-year-old Keith Torres never understood why his grandfather bothered owning the World of Wonder Store. It had been four years since it had ever seen a customer, but his grandfather insisted on buying things from people that looked more like useless junk than anything that could bring in money. Groaning in agony that he had to clean up the basement, Keith grabbed a broom and started down the stairs. Behind him, Sam, the dog that had wandered into the store years ago, followed him. Down here the “Antiques” as they were called, cluttered every single shelf and boxes of them lined the walls and were stacked haphazardly. “Sam, I can think of a million things that I would rather be doing right now.” Keith complained to the dog. The Siberian Husky that had followed him, stopped and tilted his head to one side as if to ask for details. “I could be out ‘boarding with me friends. Or I could be out and about skating. Anything but this.” Keith grabbed a small box that was blocking his path and tossed it onto a stack of boxes. The moment that the box hit, it caused the others to fall over. When the crashing ended, Keith groaned and went to clean up the mess. As he threw things back into boxes, he picked up a book and stared at it. “What is this thing?” Opening it he read it carefully. He skimmed the pages and looked thoughtfully at Sam. “All of this is written in traditional Chinese. Thanks to Gramps, I can read it.” Sam seemed upset at this and grabbed Keith by his jacket, and pulled him backward as best as he could. “Cut it out.” He then read the page aloud, “The twelve talismans were scattered around the world, the seven boxes hidden from sight. The one that finds the twelve will have powers beyond all understanding. The one that opens the seven will allow the darkest evils known to man to walk the earth. One day, when the twelve are in danger and the seven will be opened, the one of the elements will find them and guard them.” Keith turned and looked at Sam. “Yeah, right. What happened to the partridge in a pear tree?” He was about to toss the book aside when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning, he looked up at his grandfather. “Um, hi.” “I thought you were down here cleaning up.” “I was, but I kind of made things worse.” Keith shoved the book into his jacket pocket. “I gotta get going.” He stood and hurried out. “Don’t forget to come back before you go home.” Gramps yelled after Keith. When the teen was out of sight, he sighed and said, “I don’t know what I’m going to do with him, Sam.” “Trust me. The kid’s got a good heart. By the way, he found that book.” Sam sat on the floor and replied calmly. “What book?” If one were to overhear the conversation, they would think that the man and the dog had spoken to each other before. That person would have been right. Sam had been a friend to Gramps when Gramps was 13. They were the guardians of the twelve and had scattered them again when it was safe, along with the seven. Gramps had kept an eye on his grandson in hopes that he too, was a guardian. Thus far, nothing had happened. Gramps knew that the Aeons, beings with unimaginable powers were supposed to guide the true guardian. For far too long, the Aeons had not been seen. “There is so much that he needs to learn, Sam.” “I know. And like I just said, he found the book.” “The book!” Gramps jumped to his feet. “When?” “Before you came down here. I think he took it with him.” Sam was running up the stairs as he added the last part. Both hoped to find Keith before anything happened. Keith walked through the park, angry that his grandfather would behave in such a way. Granted, it was just the two of them, and granted at first it had been fun. But now it was a pain. Sighing, he stopped and looked up a one of the trees, trying to gather his thoughts. The glint of something shiny caught his eye. Looking further up, he saw something jammed into the tree. Dropping the skateboard, Keith climbed the tree and looked at the object. It was a coin that had the symbol of a rabbit on it. Pulling hard, he freed the coin and examined it closely. ‘Weird. I’ll show it to Gramps later.’ After shoving it into a hidden pocket, he then climbed back down and was about to pick up his skateboard when a shadow fell over him. Turning he saw several men that looked like Toughs, a gang that stole from people for the fun of it. “Hi, guys.” “We’ll take what ever cash you’ve got.” “Sorry, flat broke.” Keith picked up the skateboard slowly and started to back away. The Toughs followed. The leader nodded to the others and the rest began to spread out, forming a loose circle that was starting to close. “Come on, guys. I don’t have anything that I can give you.” “What about what ever that was that you found?” “What are you talking about?” Something inside him warned him not to give the Toughs the coin. “We’ll take that as payment.” “Sorry, don’t know what you’re talking about.” Keith ducked and skateboarded past a Tough that wasn’t close enough to stop him. The Toughs gave chase and thanks to a wrong turn, Keith ended up in a dead-end alley. The leader of the Toughs started moving closer, grinning with each step. You know, if you didn’t have anything, you wouldn’t have run like that. I don’t like liars.” Grabbing the teen, the leader pinned him to a wall and searched his pockets, and found nothing. Glaring, the Tough punched Keith as hard as he could. “Where is it?” “Don’t…know what you’re…talking…about.” Keith lied, trying to escape from the leader. He was punched again for his troubles. The leader then tossed him to the others. “Tear him apart. When he gives us the coin, put him out of his misery.” The gang moved closer, ready to start throwing punches. Keith, badly winded from the fall, was unable to do anything other than stare at them. ‘I could really use some help right now.’ The leader walked closer, ready to watch the bloodshed. At that moment, there was a rumbling and the ground suddenly split open and a large creature jumped up from the hole. It tossed the leader out of its way and knocked the Toughs aside. Keith gaped at the creature as it turned toward him. It then picked him up and went in the direction of the store. As they reached the park, Keith saw Gramps and Sam heading in his direction. The creature saw them also and went over to them. Gramps looked at it and said, “I thank you, Ifrit. You’re being here means that my grandson is truly a guardian.” “Um, could someone tell me what’s going on.” Keith eyed his grandfather and then Ifrit. Putting Keith down, Ifrit vanished. “He knew that he was no longer needed. We should return to the store. There is much to talk about.” Gramps led Keith back toward the store. (An office building. An office on the top floor) The man that sat at the desk looked around. He was enjoying the life that he had. The owner of several companies, he lived to make the lives of others miserable. Suddenly, the office door opened and the leader of the Toughs walked in. The man stood and demanded, “You failed me, didn’t you?” “I’m sorry, boss. You didn’t say anything about some kind of monster protecting the kid.” “Ah, Ifrit has returned. Then it is true. This boy is the true guardian. I want you to get out of my sight. I’ll contact you when you are needed again.” The leader fled, thankful that he had been allowed to walk out. The man sat down again and looked thoughtful. “The true guardian is here. I’ll have to find some way of getting him on my side. I must have what I want.” At the store, Keith perched on a stool and listened as his grandfather explained, “Thousands of years ago, twelve talismans were created, each one with a power that no one had ever seen before. The Tiger, controller of Yin and Yang. It releases good and evil sides of one form. The Rabbit, controller of Speed. A person can gain quickness to move more than 1000 kilometers per second. The Dragon, controller of Combustion. With it you can release fire beams from your hand. The Snake, controller of Invisibility You can become unseen by any life form. The Horse, controller of Healing. A person can cure an injury. The Sheep, controller of Astral Projection. It creates a projection of a person that can enter someone's mind. The Monkey, controller of Shape Shift. With it you can morph anyone or anything into an animal. The Rooster, controller of Levitation Use it to rise in the air and float The Dog, controller of Immortality With it in your control you are unable to be destroyed. The Pig, controller of Heat Beam Eyes. It produces and sends beams of heat from the eyes. The Rat, controller of Re-Animation It can give motion to the motionless. And finally, The Ox, controller of Strength. It increases of power throughout the body.” “And what do these have to do with me?” “You are the true guardian of them.” “I’m the what?” “I know you have the book. Think about what you read.” “ It said, ‘The twelve talismans were scattered around the world, the seven boxes hidden from sight. The one that finds the twelve will have powers beyond all understanding. The one that opens the seven will allow the darkest evils known to man to walk the earth. One day, when the twelve are in danger and the seven will be opened, the one of the elements will find them and guard them.’ I don’t get it, what does that have to do with me?” “You are that guardian. The Aeon that came to your rescue is proof of that.” --------------------------------------- Valefor Sonic Wings Energy Ray/ Energy Blast Ifrit Meteor Strike Hellfire Ixion Aerospark Thor's Hammer Shiva Heavenly Strike Diamond Dust Bahamut Impulse Mega Flare --------------------------------------- 1.
