Arizona Aftermath
Mood:
lyrical
Now Playing: You Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray, courtesy of YouTube
I started this blog Sunday, right after the game, it's taken about a week to flesh out. OMG! That game was just, ugh. I can't believe we got trounced by the Cardinals. ¡No me gusta! Did they get complacent or something? The worst part is the other Steelers fans. They are calling for Ben's benching. I know Ben made some bad decisions, but who the hell else do they want? Tommy Maddox? Kordell Stewart? They can't accept that Arizona dominated us on both sides of the ball. I mean, they stacked the box and Willie couldn't run at all, but are they calling for Willie to be replaced? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The O-Line was horribly porous, I mean, Ben did half of that stupid stuff because he only had like 2 seconds to try to do anything because he was getting pressured like hell (he was sacked 4 times in the first half). Nate Washington dropped at least two extremely catchable balls (I was in the middle of panic attacks, so there could have been more). Quarterbacks, too much praise for a win, too much blame for a loss. By the by, Ben TD/INT ratio is 8/3. Still better than last season. Now, Ben is being a bit much. It's no secret that there is no love loss between Ben and our old OC Ken Whisenhut, who is the new Cardinals head coach, but I did notice that before the game, lots of our players were hugging and laughing with Whiz, but someone was mysteriously missing. I also find it ironic that he said that Whiz made the offense predictable (run, run, pass), which is EXACTLY what they did down at the goal line when our defense that got a huge turnover down on like the 4. We couldn't even get a field goal because they PASSED on the third attempt and Ben threw an interception. Goddamn, this loss hurts so much. It also makes watching ESPN really hard. Ben, I more than adore you, but some things you have to let go and not harp on, plus you are in the N.F.L. (Not For Long), the Cardinals suck, it's in their organization's history to do so. I don't know how long Whiz is going to be the HC there, but don't burn all your bridges, baby. Just shut up and play some ball! The Bungles got smashed on MNF by the Pasterisks (I like that name, but I probably won't use it much). That whole team is just unraveling. The defense was so pathetic, hell, if I had suited up, I could have churned out a couple of first downs for New England (ugh), it was that bad. Then, right before the half, they showed Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson having a lovers' quarrel. Since we lost, that made me feel a bit better. They said on ESPN this morning that after the game, Cincinnati's head coach, Marvin Lewis, could be heard down the hall from the locker room shouting an expletive-filled rant about how no other team acts the way they do and how selfish they are. {Insert evil laughter} In other AFC North news, the Browns beat the Ravens 37-13. Dude, I'm a little scared, sure Pittsburgh beat them down, then they traded the quarterback who started that game and have been on a quiet roll: Put 51 on the Bungles, lost to the Raiders with a blocked last second field goal (their kicker was frozen and had made the first attempt), now they've beaten the Ravens by two touchdowns. We HAVE GOT TO beat those whiny Sea-rattle Sea-chickens on Sunday, just for division supremacy, even though the Browns next opponent is New England. And I would like to go into the bye week with a 4-1 record. Very serious: Poor Tony (Reali)! His apartment burned down on Sunday night. It was so weird when they said that on Pardon the Interruption on Monday, because all during Around the Horn, I kept saying how tired Tony looked. That is so awful. He's looking a little better now, but I feel so terrible for him. Elliot mentioned it at the end of Friday's episode, he said a fireman who I guess was at the scene said that all that was left of Tony's condo was his plasma screen TV and some books. It's too terrible for words, I mean he lost all his clothes and everything, I'd rather have lost the TV than my clothes. Not so serious: Poor Tony (Stewart)! NASCAR is out to get him! I heard (from a not so unbiased source *cough*Elliot*cough*) that he could have won Sunday's race and been the new leader in the Cup Standings. I won't lie, I missed ALL of the race, so I didn't know there was a 2 1/2 hour rain delay, with Tony in the lead. This happened with Jeff Gordon a while back ago and they gave him the win, but with Tony, not so much. Instead they finished the race and Tony crashed out. Now he's fourth in the standings, 117 behind that bastard Jimmie Johnson. I know fourth is pretty good seeing how he wrecked, but third place, Clint Bowyer, is like only 14 points behind. Big bloody drop-off. My parents went to Alabama on Thursday and won't be back until Tuesday. Another one of my step-dad's sisters is ill, one of the ones who was going to come to the party, but she suffered a stroke. She was only one of the two with a legitimate reason for not coming. It's been so nice just kicking around the house by myself. Even though it was so weird, like today (Friday) was trash day, and normally they come really early, like before 8:00 on Fridays. So I had set my alarm for 6:00 this morning, but I didn't sleep at all last night. Maybe an hour to an hour-and-a-half, TOTAL. The penultimate time I looked at the clock, it said 4:35, the next time it said 5:45, so I just turned on Elliot in the Morning and put the trash out during their first commercial break. This marks the second time that I have listened to the whole show in the, I think, 4 years I've been a fan. And the first time was just a few weeks ago when I just found myself awake at like 5:40. The strange thing is that when I turned the show on, Elliot remarked how none of them had slept either. He stayed up all night watching sports, then when he was going to bed at like after midnight, his younger son kept him and his wife up until 2:00 with something called croups(sp?); then he gets up at 3:00. God, that must suck. Diane's daughter wasn't feeling well either last night, and Tyler said he stayed up waiting for his girlfriend to come home from some after-work thing at a bar, and she didn't leave the bar until like 10:30; the insane thing is that he said that she (and her co-workers) had been there until 2:30. Could you imagine just getting hammered for EIGHT HOURS?! That is crazy. I know this is all a big coincidence, but I just found it strange that I couldn't sleep last night, and most of the people on my favorite morning show had bad sleeps as well. I have a new favorite song! You Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray. I didn't want to see the movie because I was upset they cast John Travolta over Harvey Fierstein (who originated the role of Edna Turnblad in the Broadway production of the show). Listening to the song, John doesn't sound half bad, but he still creeps me out in that fat-suit and the make-up, oh it just looks disturbing to me. Plus, I'm a Broadway Baby, I love musicals and have a thing about if you're going to make a movie, at least attempt to get some of the actors from the stage. I think the girl who originated Tracy said she was moving on in her career, and that's fine, but as long as they tried, then I'll be pleased. Slightly. I'd probably rather have the Original Broadway Cast Album, but the song just sounds more polished from the movie soundtrack. They also changed the lyrics because of something they changed in the script from the first Hairspray movie, to the show, and back to the movie musical (it's kind of minor, but the bad guys weren't redeemed in the first movie, but they were in the show, but they changed it back to the original way for the second movie). I might give this movie a chance when it comes to DVD, you never know. Although Transformers comes out in a couple of weeks, and that movie was AWESOME! I have a stalker from Yahoo! Answers. He changes his name every couple of days because he gets booted really soon after he creates a new account. He hates me because I love Ben and the Steelers. He usually just asks stupid and ugly non-questions, but lately he's taken to harassing me by sending me misogynistic and racist e-mails. I wish Yahoo would create an option where you can only be e-mailed by your contacts, that would make the experience so much more pleasant, but they just want to sit on their asses and say "you can change the option of whether or not you want other people to e-mail you." What a bullshit, automated answer! There are a couple of people on there that I like talking to. What the hell ever! Well, I'm gonna jet. There was more I wanted to say, but I don't feel like typing it, maybe next time. No Ben photo this time, I couldn't find one I like. Here we go, Steelers! BEAT THOSE SEABIRDS!!! They have to, it would be nice just so ESPN can shut the hell up! I'm phasing.

Just the Way Things Are
Mood:
hungry
Now Playing: Launchcast Music Player
(Launchcast music break: Guns N' Roses Welcome to the Jungle {Live}) Yeah, I brought this back today, I didn't want to have to keep pressing "play" over and over. (Launchcast music break: My Chemical Romance I Don't Love You) I guess I'll start off with Steelers' news first; they're 3-0, which is a great place to be. I'm a bit worried about tomorrow's game though, Hines will be out with a knee injury, lots of old Steelers personnel and players are now with the Cardinals' organization at the moment, plus all of my normal jitters that go along with a Steelers football game. Ben has 6 touchdowns to just the one interception, so that's still a good thing. One thing I don't like is that now the media has decided to take notice that they are among the five undefeated teams left in the NFL (the other four being the Pats (ugh), the Colts, the Packers, and the Cowboys). (Launchcast music break: Brandy Have You Ever?; LOVE the song, her, not so much) A couple "experts" have said that we could lose this game (and we could), but the thing I'm sick of hearing is that the Steelers have played a soft schedule. If these idiots would actually take the time to look something up, they would see that the Steelers' opponents wins and losses are combined at 3-6. I know, that's not awesome, but that team that EVERYONE just loves and adores so much, New England, their opponents are 2-7. I know it's just one game difference, but just because it's New England, that little factoid gets swept right under the rug. Tch. It's disgusting. I know I didn't elaborate on New England's "spy-gate" earlier, but yesterday, I got hit with a brilliant-beyond-brilliant theory behind it. (Launchcast music break: Aerosmith Amazing) Now, their head coach is considered to be a bona fide genius, like he invented the game of football (where was this genius when he was in Cleveland, hm?). But, if he was so smart, why did he get caught, and ADMIT it? Because he wanted that to come out. I know this sounds just about as insane as the "New England won the 2001-2002 Super Bowl because their name is the 'Patriots'" (which I find to be very plausible). Hear me out: this past off-season, EVERYONE was all on New England's nuts (they still are), nobody could find fault with the team. They slobbered even more when it came to New England quarterback because of the acquisition of Randy Moss (and Donte Stallworth and some other receivers, but mostly Moss), just saying how unstoppable they looked; Chargers' fans weren't happy, they must not understand the "Norv Turner Effect." (Launchcast music break: Bon Jovi Bad Medicine) What do you do when no one underestimates you, when you are the clear favorite, nobody is picking against you? You get scandalous. So, this whole "they totally cheat" thing came out, and it had some (very few) doubting all of their achievements: Were they cheating during their Super Bowl runs? etc. Then they came out this season and have just been dominating, so that made most say, "no, they're just that good, they WILL GO 16-0!" Oh, it has been said, more than once, on more than one channel! Not "might", but "will." I just hope they falter down the stretch, because it is just so disgusting how much love they get from the "unbiased" media. (Launchcast music break: Maroon 5 Sweetest Goodbye; I don't like any of their new songs at all, so I don't want their latest album, which sucks because this one was really good) Now, there is some sad news to attend to: Ashley lost her baby. I feel so bad about her, but I still stand by what I said. Remember how I said she was just giving too much information about the whole thing? I know why, when you're pregnant, there's a certain time where you're not out of the woods to have a miscarriage. When you pass that time (I think it's about like 16 weeks or 4 months, it could be a little less), then you can tell everyone, she told us (and I mean US, she keeps sending out mass e-mails) very early on, like around 6-8 weeks along. I mean, she told lots of people all but what colors she had planned for the nursery. Maybe it's just me, but I just can't tell everybody ALL my business, and "I'm pregnant" is one statement I do not want to have to publicly retract. (Launchcast music break: Boyz II Men End of the Road) I feel a little terrible, just at my selfishness and that she had started to become attached so much, and of course I'm not stupid or insensitive enough to say anything when she comes home (which I think is in a few days, I don't know if she's still coming back at Christmas), I'll just play it by ear. I got my memory stick, but of course, not paying attention, I bought the wrong antenna. Sure, it fits with the phone, but it's only one ear and not two earbuds. The one I needed is like $15 with $4.99 s&h. *Sigh*, there's another $20, but I need it. I plan on making my phone the ultimate mp3 player since my portable CD player just quit on me last month, still it lasted 6 years and has been through some things, I'll miss it, and this way I won't be going through AA batteries so much, I just have to charge the phone. Well, that's about it for me, I just have to find a pic of Ben.
(Launchcast music break: Elton John Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word) Okay, it's from the Atlanta game last year (oh how I loathe everything about that game), but it's something about this picture that I can't look away from it. I know exactly what it is, I'm just not ready to admit it out loud, or even to this blog where no one I know (or anyone at all) is reading this. And from something I said in this entry, I shouldn't say it, maybe one day, probably never, but I know what it is, I just don't want to admit it. It will show a side of me I'm not ready to acknowledge yet.
I'm phasing.

This Is How We Do
Now Playing: Just In Time
2-0 which is as good a start as you can have! It beats last year when we were 1-1. So far, Ben has 5 touchdowns to 1 interception. I wish he didn't have the interception, but his first two games last season he had 0 touchdowns to 5 interceptions, so I'll take it. The one problem I had with the game was that it took until the second half to get a touchdown. We had to settle for 4 field goals in the first half (thanks Jeff!). So, we have to work on the red zone. We wore our throwback uniforms, no me gusta the gold helmet and the white pants. Watching it was so strange, it didn't even look like the Pittsburgh Steelers, more like a college team or something. Thank goodness they only have to wear those one more game, a Monday night one if I'm not mistaken. If they had worn the throwback jerseys with the normal black helmets and gold pants, it might have been better, but I'll never know.
Remember what I said about the Bungles playing the Browns and how everyone would be loving them so much it would border disturbing, well the hell with that. The CLEVELAND BROWNS embarrassed them by defeating the Bungles 51-45! As I was watching the Steelers game, I kept thinking that the score that popped up on the screen had to be wrong. A Pittsburgh fan said that they had a Bungles fan friend who actually said to them, "at least we put up more points against the Browns than the Steelers." What kind of lunacy is THAT? Just because we put up 34 and they put up 45 means nothing. The notable thing is that our defense held them to SEVEN points, while your non-existent counterpart let them put up FIFTY-ONE! Most people didn't think Cleveland could score 51 points unless you added up about 8 games worth. So now, at the moment, we sit alone at the top of the AFC North: Steelers (2-0), Browns (1-1), Bungles (1-1), Ravens (1-1). It's also kind of weird because the Steelers defeated the Browns, who defeated the Bungles, who defeated the Ravens. Things that make you go "hm." I'm so happy that the Bungles lost, now everybody can see for themselves how horribly overrated they are. Sure they have a great offense, but if you can let a team that lots of people said had the best shot at going 0-16 hang 51 on you, you got something that needs fixing. Now Pittsburgh goes on to the also undefeated San Francisco. I'm upset because I can't watch it, but I barely watched last weeks, I was too nervous, but I recorded it, I just have to label it. Here we go Steelers! Beat those Niners!
I found a site where I got another antenna and memory stick for my phone. It was on sale, the cord for $2.99 and the memory stick for $49; when I went out to look for those thing, I figured I would be spending anywhere from $75-$100, but this was a welcome change. I'm a little nervous about it, it ships from overseas, and it won't be here until next week. Another dodgy thing is that if you don't get the 2-3 day shipping ($20 s&h vs. $4.99), you can't track it. God, I hope this site is credible and I haven't been suckered into getting my identity stolen. Again.
It was so weird, after I bought that South Pacific: In Concert DVD, the original movie came on today. I tried watching it, it didn't really hold my attention much, and the color filters that came up every number was just annoying. They were so harsh and it hurt my eyes. But the movie came out in 1958, and they thought the technology back then was ground-breaking, nowadays, it's a bloody eyesore. I also wasn't really believing the actress that played Nellie. Her singing voice kind of irked me, it was high and bordering on squeaky. It also wasn't country. I know, I got spoiled listening to Reba singing it, but the character of Nellie Forbush is from Arkansas. She should have had an accent.
I hate this week. My mother had a car accident on Tuesday, it wasn't too bad, she says her back hurts and her neck is stiff. But she has the WHOLE week off. Tch. While it hasn't been as bad as she could be, it hasn't been as nice as it normally is. Like I was watching Pardon the Interruption and she said I was laughing too loud. What they said was really funny. Why couldn't she shut her door? And speaking of too loud, Ms. I-always-hear-your-telephone-conversations-because-you-have-no-concept-of-how-loud-YOUR-voice-is. Whatever, I guess I'll just have to be quiet whenever she's home, no laughing or anything, since she sucks all the good emotions out of a room anyway. Tch.
By the by, I have another "old is new" favorite song. Just in Time from the musical Bells are Ringing. It's gorgeous. I know I'm down on relationships, but if I were to ever get married and could have one person sing one song for the first dance as husband and wife, I think Michael Buble (his voice is insanely beautiful and rich, a total panty-melter) singing Just in Time could be a heavy favorite. I may post the lyrics next entry, but right now, I'm going to take a shower, shut myself in my room, and wait for tomorrow to come.
I just wanted to get that off my chest before I went spare. But of course...

It just looks so different.
I'm phasing.

So Far, Not So Bad
Mood:
crushed out
Now Playing: The songs in my head
Yay! We're 1-0! But everybody is jelly just because we beat the Browns 34-7! We can't help that the Browns are terrible (I have a feeling that if the Bungles had played the Browns, they would all just be slurping on Carson Palmer). Ben had a great day, my boo threw for a career high of FOUR TOUCHDOWNS to, get ready, ZERO INTERCEPTIONS!!! I'm so proud of him. Like I said, people want to take this away from him, but HELLO, he threw INTs against the Browns last year. In fact, he threw three of them in the first half against them at Cleveland, and didn't throw his two touchdowns until the second half. This week we play the Bills. It will kind of be bittersweet; I want the Steelers to win (natch), but my thoughts and prayers go out to Bills' injured TE Kevin Everett. He put a hit on one of the Broncos' players last week, and didn't walk off the field. At first the doctors said that the injury was "catastrophic", then the next day, news came out that he could move his fingers and toes, and now chances are he will walk again. It's such wonderful news! I have a feeling that the Bills will definitely be playing for him. I also get to see the game, so the VCR will be running, and I might just sit downstairs and flip back and forth between that and the race (it gets really hard to watch NASCAR once football season starts).
I sent Marcus a text message last Sunday saying that Thursday would be better for me to go out than Tuesday. He never got back to me, so on Thursday, I went out by myself and did my thing. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a memory stick or an antenna cord for my phone (the girl at the AT&T kiosk looked like she couldn't have cared less), so I just went to Best Buy. I found The Music Man, but I didn't see Funny Face at all. I did spy my favorite version of South Pacific; it's a live, stage version at Carnegie Hall starring Reba McEntire and Brian Stokes Mitchell. It's very stripped down, though, like not in full costume, or sets and props, all the actors read from a script throughout 99% of the show (they do a couple of the songs sans script in hand). It's just really awesome, especially the acting. You don't even need all that other stuff, the actors do such a great job, your imagination just goes with it. When I watched it all the way through (of course I had to watch a couple of my favorite numbers first like I'm Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair and Honey Bun), I was so into it, I didn't even think about all the things they were missing until Luther Billis (Alec Baldwin) took some flowers from Emile (Mitchell), just because Baldwin mimed taking the flowers. I also bought Fall Out Boy's Infinity on High. I haven't given the whole disc a spin, I'm thinking probably Monday during my workout. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't go out with Marcus, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Thursday was such a beautiful day, how could I not go out and enjoy it?
I can't believe I didn't mention it sooner, but New England got caught in a cheating scandal! I know I hate them and I should be so happy, but if anything, all the sports networks just talk MORE about them now. I really despise this team. Ugh.
I know this will sound kind of random, but I hate lettuce, it tastes so bad, but it works.
Oh yeah, Ben was EVERYWHERE this week. Pardon the Interruption, NFL's Total Access (stupid &*%$% Comcast), and that show that comes on FSN/CSN called something like Best Sports Show Ever or something of that nature. Of course I was loving it, Ben was the best on the Best Show Ever one. Really, he was funny and very charming. He must feel more comfortable talking to those guys than anyone else. I laughed like a love-sick school girl, it's so wrong.
I'm still crushing on Tony from Around the Horn. I don't know why, but I just really like him for some reason. Since I'm still fresh off the Jack incident, I'm not going to declare anything for him or against Ben, because obviously I'm still absolutely sick over Ben. I'm just saying that I slightly fancy him.
Well, I got to go, I'm getting kind of sleepy, and it's not even that late yet. Good old antihistamines (I'M NOT ADDICTED, OR ANYTHING).

Look at Ben, enjoying his 4 touchdowns! Go Steelers!
I'm phasing.

Are You Ready for Some Football?! And Other Assorted Ramblings
Mood:
chillin'
Now Playing: YouTube
Meh, okay, just last night's game. Wow, what a snooze-fest. It was 10-10 at the half, then the Colts blew the Saints out the RCA Dome 41-10. It was kind of sad, but puzzling, I mean, is Indianapolis' defense that good or are the Saints last year's one hit wonder and go back to the bottom of the NFC South? I mean, the Colts held last year's highest scoring offense to 3 points (got the touchdown on a fumble recovery), but the Saints are in the NFC. Everyone is still kind of with them saying they'll beat up on their lesser opponents in their conference and win it. As for the Colts, the "D" showed up, but what will happen against a good AFC team, like San Diego, or something? We'll have to wait and see. Of course, whenever they play New England, I hope the score is 70-3. That would make me so freaking happy.
Now I am very excited for this weekend. College football all day Saturday, the Chevy Rock and Roll 400 Saturday night at Richmond (last race before the Chase, Tony is locked in at 2nd place, but will drop to 3rd behind Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, more on NASCAR later), and the other NFL teams play all day Sunday and finish up with a Monday Night double-header. Oh, this is best weekend ever! Let's just hope the Steelers have a great game against the Browns. I don't want to overlook them, but I want to win so bad, everyone is saying how last year was the real Steelers team, even though Ben's face getting up close and personal with a Chrysler, having an emergency appendectomy, then suffering a second concussion at the hands of the sucky Falcons (who I think will rally around each other and steal a Wild Card spot, I said it first), yet missed all of ONE game last season. Nobody ever talks about how tough he is, just how he led the league in interceptions last season.
OMG, okay, the big NASCAR news is that Joe Gibbs Racing is moving from Chevrolet as a manufacturer to Toyota! At first I was unhappy with that news, but from the business side of things, it makes sense. Hendrick would always be number 1, Childress 2, then JGR, even though Tony has won two championships and is in a nice position to pick up a third. Oh, I hope so, if Jimmie Johnson repeats, that means the Colts are going to be back-to-back Super Bowl winners. I'd love for the Steelers to go to the Super Bowl and win with a rookie head coach, but from what everyone else is saying about us, I'd settle for just reaching the playoffs, if not winning the division. Any road, as Elliot said yesterday, "love the sinner (Tony Stewart), hate the sin (Toyota)."
I'm supposed to go out with Marcus (he finally remembered my birthday, Lisa called 4 days later, but I didn't pick up; I'm terrible) on Tuesday or Thursday next week, we haven't settled on a day yet. He's supposed to be leaving for Philadelphia like in November, so it will probably be the last time I hang out with him in a long time, if ever. While we're out, I need to get another antenna cord for my mobile along for a memory stick, then if that's not too much, I want to see if I can find The Music Man on DVD, if not then I want Funny Face. I'll miss Marcus, because he didn't bug me (TOO much).
Ashley has sent out another mass e-mail saying that she wasn't coming home soon. She sent one August 20 saying that she wasn't leaving the military to come home and all her doctors are in England and she wouldn't be able to find a place to live, then she sent one yesterday saying that she just wasn't coming home because all the free (or cheap) stuff the military can provide for her like daycare, insurance, housing, mostly, she couldn't get transferred here. I totally accept the last reason, but that's just too much information. All she had to say was that she wasn't coming home because she couldn't get a transfer, we, at least I didn't need to know the rest. She said that she was coming home in December, don't know how much effort I'll put in to seeing her, that will be right in the middle of Christmas shopping and baking and everything else, I'm sure. She also said that she'll have a decent place soon and that if you (all the people she sent the letter to) find yourself in her neck of the woods, you have a place to stay. Tch, not with a baby in the house. I know I shouldn't be like this, but I can't run with people with kids at this moment. I think I'm mostly upset because of all the fun we had back in March, and we most likely can't do that again. Yeah, I have to go out and get some new friends.
I might be kind of cute when I find my new friends, I was looking back in the archives and I'm shocked to see that I didn't say back in May that we got a treadmill. I use it at least 3-4 days a week. I know, I could do better, but some days I just have so much to do and I get a little lazy. Plus, I don't like people to be home and watch me walk on it, I don't know I'm weird like that. I don't know how much weight I've lost, but I know I've lost some. Like last month, I tried on these old jeans and I didn't have to suck in my gut. In fact, they were LOOSE around the waist. I'm built funny and all of my fat goes to my abdominal area, like my jeans will be loose in the butt area (i.e. I'm fat, but have a flat ass), but tight around the stomach. Just last week I've increased my time on it from 1 mile to 1 1/2 miles. The only bad thing is that it is a used treadmill and the motor can overheat, so when I do my mile-and-a-half, I have to do it in two goes, like 3 laps the first time, 3 laps the second time. Sometimes I'll do a full mile, then come back and do the last two laps later, which is what I did today. I tested it to see how far it would let me go before it stopped, and it was just shy of 5 laps, like 4.8 laps or something. I wouldn't mind doing it all in one go, but then again, a break is nice. I was discouraged at the beginning a bit because I always tried to walk at the end of Elliot in the Morning, like listen to "Diane's Dirt" and walk, but I couldn't do it, sometimes I would fall back asleep and I just wouldn't walk for some reason. Then I realized that I had ALL day, and it was just as good to walk at like 3:00 as it is at 10:00. I don't need to be on a tight schedule, just find the time to walk. I actually enjoy walking, I turn on the stereo/TV and just go for it.
Well, that's enough for me this time, I'm getting sleepy (antihistamines, so good), but of course I have to post a pic of Ben.
His eyes are so gorgeous in this photo. Oh, and I'm also crushing on Around the Horn host and Pardon the Interruption ombudsman Tony Reali (this is getting sad, I know). I have been for a few weeks, I was just in denial. We'll see how I feel about him by the next entry, but this should be an interesting season for me and Ben, but I still love him.
Here we go Steelers, here we go! Go Steelers, beat those Brownies!
I'm phasing.

Can This Be Gift Wrapped?
Mood:
amorous
Now Playing: You Tube
(Still rockin' out to Fall Out Boy Thnks Fr Th Mmrs) No offense to Jack Davenport, who is hot as balls, but why on earth did I want to leave this: OMG!!! What I wouldn't do to him in that backseat. Screw the backseat, what about on TOP of the car? In the rain, as well? That boy doesn't stand a chance. It has ALWAYS been a fantasy of mine; I think that would be so flipping hot! (Changed my mind: Mis-Teeq Scandalous)
I was going to just post the chorus of Scandalous, but he deserves the whole song, this is what he means to me:
So, so, so scandalous You know you wanna sing with us (baby) That's why you know you should be scared of us (baby)
Non stop looks to kill Straight talk sex appeal One touch gives me chills and we ain't even close yet Rough neck all around Ain't been all over town Show me how you get down 'Cause we ain't even close yet
You got me feening and you got me feeling weak Listen as I speak 'cause I'm careful as I creep You got me going crazy and you know I can't sleep I'm watching your moves and you hypnotize me You got me trembling like a little baby girl You're so special, you're like diamonds and pearls You got me spinning and you got me in a twirl You're my number one baby and you come to rock my world
You're dangerous Just get it up The way you move so scandalous It's all about the two of us A one night stand just ain't enough I need some stimulation, baby A little conversation, maybe You got me spinning out like crazy There goes my baby
Scandalous (baby) So scandalous (baby) Scandalous (baby) So, so, so scandalous
Hot stuff, head to toe Where you go, no one knows Cute smile, plenty dough and we ain't even close yet Solid as a rock How many ways can you hit the spot? Show me what you got, 'cause we ain't even close yet
You got me feening and you got me feeling weak Listen as I speak 'cause I'm careful as I creep You got me going crazy and you know I can't sleep I'm watching your moves and you hypnotize me You got me trembling like a little baby girl You're so special, you're like diamonds and pearls You got me spinning and you got me in a twirl You're my number one baby and you come to rock my world
You're dangerous Just get it up The way you move so scandalous It's all about the two of us A one night stand just ain't enough I need some stimulation baby A little conversation maybe You got me spinning out like crazy There goes my baby
Scandalous (baby) So scandalous Scandalous (baby) So, so, so scandalous
A little conversation goes a long, long way Show a little patience That you are here to stay So show me that you're game, oh
You're dangerous Just get it up The way you move so scandalous It's all about the two of us A one night stand just ain't enough I need some stimulation baby A little conversation maybe You got me spinning out like crazy There goes my baby
You're dangerous Just get it up The way you move so scandalous It's all about the two of us A one night stand just ain't enough I need some stimulation, baby A little conversation, maybe You got me spinning out like crazy There goes my baby

I don't understand the Internet, it is one thing for one person to have wrong lyrics, but when everyone else just copies and pastes WITHOUT giving the song a good listen in case of inaccuracies, what is the bloody point? Especially if they make NO sense, whatsoever.
By the by, while I would love to also get Prince's Scandalous with him, it would be too much.
God, he is so hot, I think I might have to purchase this issue of GQ, even if it does have other quarterbacks in it who are NO WHERE near as hot as Ben Roethlisberger. I would ask if FedEx would ship him for my birthday on Sunday, unfortunately he has to be in Pittsburgh for a game against the Eagles. Plus side, it's a national game on Sunday Night Football on NBC, so I'll be able to see him!
I'm phasing and hoping and wishing and thinking and praying.

So Close, Yet So Far
Mood:
irritated
Now Playing: You Tube
He is here. HE is here. HE IS HERE! Ben is here, somewhere very close by, and I don’t know exactly where. He could be at the stadium. If he is, he is in Prince George’s county, 10 minutes down the street from where I graduated high school. The thing is I AM NOT THERE WITH HIM!!! This sucks SOOOOOOOOOO much!! According to my mother I should have tried harder with my father, but he was faking from the beginning. He said that he was only going to get one ticket and a parking pass. What am I supposed to do with that? I can’t drive. Tch, whatever, I am not stressing out about it. Even though I got a “Terrible Towel” last year and my “Ben Roethlisberger 7” handbag came by UPS yesterday and I can’t show these things off with my people. I am so sad right now. Sure, he’ll be here again next regular season, but those tickets are even harder to get. Whatever, I don’t care anymore. On a bright side, Tony Stewart won at Watkins Glen road course last week, winning 3 out of the last 4 races, and has now climbed to the fourth spot in points! WAR TONY STEWART!!! He’s so awesome. Unfortunately, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson’s crew chiefs were suspended for the past 6 races and come back this week. If anything, I need a DNF from Gordon more than Johnson (although, if he wanted to hit a wall again, that is fine with me); just to close the gap some in the points lead. But Jimmie Johnson’s crew chief has been suspended twice in the past two seasons, which means he’s a total cheater. It’s not fair, but what can I do about fair. Hopefully Smoke turns to fire and captures a third Cup Championship, wishful thinking once again on my part. Tony starts practically in the back in the 35th spot in tomorrow’s race, so he has his work cut out for him, but he likes to get hot at the right time, remember, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish, and Tony is great at finishing high. I also have another problem. It seems that some people take the Internet WAY too seriously. They act like there is a prize for getting the most "Best Answers" in Yahoo Answers. Do you know how many times I felt robbed because I didn't get a best answer? They need to get over it, it's a fucking website where people give their "opinions", rarely facts, and sometimes the Asker picks a best answer, sometimes they let it go to voting. The thing is this guy e-mailed me, saying I was using “voter influence” because the question was “What was the greatest record in sports?” and my answer was “Ben going 13-0 as a rookie starter.” So he TOOK THE TIME to look up my profile and see that most of my contacts on the site are Steelers’ fans and thinks I must have begged them to vote for me. Not even close to being true. I hate talking on the phone to people I actually know in real life, I’m not going to beg practically total strangers for something as petty as that. I did point out that if it were all about being a Steelers fan, then the Asker would have given me “Best Answer” anyway because he is one and he’s in my contact list. Then I told him that it is just a site on the Internet and he shouldn’t take it so seriously because it is not a life altering thing getting a “Best Answer.” Truth be told, I am cheating at it, I have 3 different accounts, but I’m still not begging other people. I did point out that I only got 3 votes (nobody voted for him, so he must have been jelly*) and I have more than 3 contacts and that if he’s so pressed about it, he could e-mail my contacts and ask if I do that. I have gotten a good portion of my “Best Answers” from going back and voting on them because, most of the time, people always go back and vote for their own answer anyway. And someone else could have gone to their contacts and said “Hey, vote for my answer so I can get 10 points.” You know what? I don’t fault them for that, I told all of my associates about the website and as far as I know, they haven’t signed up for it. If they had, and let me know about it, I would probably do the same thing. Then again, I might have only given them the name of one of my lesser known accounts so I could continue with the main account without having them know it was me. He needs to get a life in the worst way, he sounds like those WOW guys that were jelly of Leeroy Jenkins (so funny). I can't remember who said it, but I remember the quote, "complaining on the Internet has replaced baseball as America's past time." Too true. I didn’t feel like fooling with the Launchcast today, you can’t repeat like you can with You Tube and since it’s been ages I’ve been on there, it has loads of weird music I haven’t rated yet and it takes too long to weed through. Like with You Tube, I FINALLY found out who sings the other version of All I Want for Christmas Is You, that they played on the soft rock station EVERY year at Christmas, but NEVER said what her name was, some chick named Lisa Lane. Right now I’ve got Fall Out Fever and am treating it by listening to Thks Fr Th Mmrs (Thanks for the Memories) every 3 minutes and 22 seconds. I LOVE this song, the dance remix isn’t half bad, either. This was one of the CDs I was contemplating getting when I ended up buying the My Chemical Romance one. Not complaining though, Welcome to the Black Parade is a solid album. That’s enough of me enjoying America’s new past time; I have to go sulk until the game starts tonight. GO STEELERS!!! I can’t wait for the regular season to start though, I’m so nervous about it, what if we lose every single game and the Browns have really improved and other stuff that will eat at me until the games are over? I just have to remember to take it one game at a time. Before I go…
This is totally how I felt. I finished the reread and I have to say it was better the second time around. I’m still disappointed with the epilogue, but it wasn’t that bad.
There is just nothing else to say. I'm phasing.

Now What?
Mood:
chillin'
Now Playing: Launchcast Music Player
Wow, it feels like it’s really over. No more Harry Potter books. Well, that’s not totally true, J.K. Rowling said she would probably come out with an encyclopedia-type book; something that tells us what happened to ALL the characters that were left out of the epilogue, which was everyone except the main trio and some of the Weasleys. (Launchcast music break: Britney Spears Baby One More Time, oh hell yeah, these are back! Launchcast didn’t want to work when I first tried it again on this new computer, but it’s being nice today.) I’m not too sure how I feel, it was a decent story, but I don’t know. I felt it was predictable, but was it predictable because I feel like she didn’t try to do the shocking turn of a character being bad that you thought was good all this time; or was it because I (with the help of the fan sites) figured out everything with the help of all her clues and two plus two really equaled four. I really wanted this total swerve that I didn’t see coming, not saying that I figured out EVERYTHING before I opened the book, but lots of things like R.A.B. was Regulus and that Kreacher was the one who helped him get the locket horcrux from the lake and that she killed a Weasley twin, I just knew she would. (Launchcast music break: Train Drops of Jupiter) There were also some other things that people had figured out, but I just didn’t want to believe, like Harry being a horcrux. Come on, I know you’re not supposed to take a character’s word to be the gospel truth, but I would believe that it does take an immensely complicated spell to make one, but Voldemort accidently made Harry a horcrux. I’m a bit disappointed in that. (Launchcast music break: Guns N’ Roses Nightrain {Live}) I’m doing my reread at the moment; it took me over a week to digest and discuss the book before I could pick it up and read it again. I never got around to finishing that list “True and False” things for the book. I filled out as much of it as I could then kind of forgot in my excitement over the book. (Launchcast music break: Maroon 5 This Love) (Launchcast music break: Jordan Knight Give It to You) Tony Stewart! OMG, I can’t say enough things about him, he won AGAIN, making it two times in a row (they were off last weekend, not complaining, I had a book to keep me company), plus he is only the third driver to have multiple wins at Indianapolis Motor Speedway! That’s right; he won in his backyard, twice out of the past three times at the Brickyard. He was so happy, I was so happy; it was such a great day. Also, Jimmie Johnson hit a wall, AGAIN, two races in a row. In the past two racing weeks, he’s dropped from 5th to 9th in the standings. This time, his car caught on fire and singed his eyelashes. It wasn’t as funny as it was unbelievable this time. Dude that is WEIRD, Tony winning twice in a row, Jimmy Johnson DNFs twice in a row; this also means that Tony has moved up from 7th to 5th in the Chase standings in the past two racing weeks. We’re nearing the end of the normal season and heading to the Chase, and Smoke is getting HOT! (Launchcast music break: Bon Jovi Lay Your Hands on Me)
You deserve it, Smoke! YAY for Steelers training camp! Oh so many photos, he’s so hot in more ways then one. I tell you, if this was a real relationship or something, Ben would have totally gone up to Jack and said, “I wasn’t worried, she always comes back. ALWAYS.” I adore him so, it must be insanity, I’ve actually missed him; that’s being taken care of though, the remedy is back in stock. (Lay your hands on me, baby! I'm still rocking out to Bon Jovi. It's getting bad again, but I love it, and him)
Oh, that makes me cock my head to the left, smile a silly grin, and sigh!Well, that’ll be all for me, I just wanted to update about the book and of course Tony Stewart’s second win at the Brickyard and of the season. (Launchcast music break: Nelly/Kelly Rowland Dilemma; Wow, this is so appropriate, luv ya Ben!) I’m phasing.

Hit Me, Baby, One More Time
Mood:
rushed
Now Playing: The Music Man- Sadder, But Wiser Girl
This title was something that came to me last night (or a few nights ago, whatever). It was just a couple of other things that are going on, and I forgot to put them in the previous entry. Ashley is PREGNANT!!! She has just thrown away the rest of her twenties. This sucks so much, the one person that I actually don’t mind going out with (especially since she lives so far away and only comes home once or twice a year) is now going to be saddled down with a kid. I know I’m being selfish, but goddamn it, this isn’t fair. Now, more than EVER, I guess I need to find a new friend. Another thing about Ashley, she was the only friend I had that read the Harry Potter books. Speaking of which, the seventh and last book is due to come out on Saturday. I’m really excited, yet kind of sad about it. I mean, on one hand we’ll finally have all the answers; on the other hand, it’s over. There will be nothing Harry Potter related to really eagerly await. Sure there are the films, but since you’ve read the book, you already know what’s going to happen. Some guy got his book TODAY! He is so lucky. Why didn't that happen to me? I wouldn’t even go on the Internet and spoil people. Okay, maybe a bit, but nothing major. I cannot wait for Saturday; it’s taking forever to get here. I’m totally going to shut my phone off (at least put it on vibrate), close my door, and not do anything but try to visually inhale that book. Like the major dork I am, I downloaded and printed this list of like 101 statements that you have to select “True” or “False” about what will happen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’m going to try to start it tomorrow and finish it by Friday. In non-dork related chat, TRAINING CAMP STARTS NEXT MONDAY!!! Ah, finally, football season is returning. And the love may be all around once again. Ben has been training harder than ever, I believe he’s been in the film room studying and hopefully seeing where he can improve his mechanics. He was known (thought) to be a bit of a slacker and gets bitten by the lazy bug (who doesn’t). We see where that got us 8-8, and one more win and we could have gone back to the playoffs. Ben better be ready to drop jaws this season, I’ve been talking him up quite a bit, mostly on Yahoo Answers. I know he doesn’t want to use the excuses of the accident, appendicitis, and a second concussion four months after the accident, but they account whether he wants to admit it or not. The thing is you have all of these bitter, hating morons that say he’s totally overrated. Whatever. You know who’s overrated? Vince Young. While I quite like him, it’s just not fair some of the praise he’s received. He’s being put up on a pedestal while Ben is just a product of the system. All of these things I love can’t come soon enough, but we all know it’s all about “antici—pation.” No photos this time, I have envelopes to print. I’m phasing.

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over
Mood:
cheeky
Now Playing: Lenny Kravitz- It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over
Here we are still together We are one So much time wasted Playing games with love
So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But baby It ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive But baby it ain't over 'til it's over
How many times Did we give up But we always worked things out And all my doubts and fears Kept me wondering, yeah If I'd always, always be in love
So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But baby It ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive 'Cause baby it ain't over 'til it's over
So many tears I've cried So much pain inside Baby It ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive 'Cause baby it ain't over 'til it's over
So many tears I've cried So much pain inside Baby It ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive 'Cause baby it ain't over 'til it's over Over, over, over.
So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But baby It ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried To kept our love alive 'Cause baby it ain't over 'til it's over Over, over, over
So many tears I've cried So much pain inside Baby It ain't over 'til it's over Okay, so maybe I jumped the gun a little. It's probably from just not seeing him for so long, but I have come to realize that I still might fancy Mr. Roethlisberger, slightly. It happened the other day when I was watching ESPNEWS; I was minding my own business when all of a sudden Ben popped up. He was on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards, ESPN's really stupid award show. I mean, why would I watch if you tell me who wins ahead of time. Except last year when the Steelers won in most of the categories. Then Ben's appearance was supposed to be a surprise, but ESPN doesn't even try to keep it a secret, they gave it away on Sports Center or Cold Pizza I can't remember which one. Any road, he looks better than ever, and the title of the song (as well as this entry) that's playing is SO APPROPRIATE! Because, baby it ain't over 'til it's over! That's why I've been feeling so guilty about supposedly falling out of love (lust?) with him; I wasn't out of it yet. So where does that leave me with Jack Davenport? Well, I still think he's really gorgeous, but I only really have him as Admiral James Norrington in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Maybe I'll post photos of both of them, even though I've made my choice. Ah, this still sucks for him; it seems he never gets the girl. I'm so glad that party is over, it was insane. I feel so sad for my step-dad, NOBODY from his family showed up for his party. Just saying "SHAME" just isn't bad enough, because that was really cruddy. My brother didn't get on my nerves that badly this time. I think he was happier to be up here then when we go down there. I completely understand, because down there sucks. His ex-girlfriend on the other hand is something else. She said that I need to come back to Alabama and stay for like a month. Yeah right, I'd be ready to go in about 2 days; just enough time for me to sleep of the jet-lag and be ready to head home. My mother was ready to kill her, because she's a total idiot. My nephew is a spoiled brat and they don't discipline him AT ALL! As soon as they got here, he kept running up and down the stairs, and they didn't yell at him to stop! Finally he fell down and hurt his pride more than his face and he wised up. Then, at the party, he ran around the whole time and I just wanted to beat him so bad. After the party, some how I pulled a muscle in my back, but I knew that I still had to drag them to the zoo. The next morning we had a breakfast held at a buffet place for us and some of the party attendants. My nephew, that bad little boy didn't eat anything. Now I understand that some people have picky eating habits, but this child has basically TOLD his parents he doesn't eat anything but specific frozen chicken nuggets (but he'll eat like McDonald's or Burger King's) and specific frozen pizza rolls (but he'll eat like two slices of plain Papa John's pizza). So they're up there BRIBING him to eat something by getting him M&M's, gummy bears, and a Rice Krispie Treat. Meanwhile, my cousin Stephanie's (who had 5 boys and is about 95 pounds soaking wet, yeah I'm jelly) youngest son (like 15 months old) was punishing his mother's omelet. Stephanie got up to do something, and he pulled it over to himself and just attacked it. It was hilarious! Then my brother's ex-girlfriend pointed out to her son that a baby was eating an omelet and they were bribing him with junk that any kid would kill to eat for breakfast. My mother wanted to kill her. My mum told her it was her (brother's ex-girlfriend) fault that he was like that. Then she (my brother's ex-girlfriend) tried to defend herself by saying that it wasn't her fault and he'd had his tonsils taken out (like over a year ago). I had to pat my mother on the hand and say that Golden Corral wasn't the appropriate place for this conversation. It was quite nice to see my mother angry with someone that wasn't me or my step-dad for a change. Now where my back comes into play is that my nephew was being really evil that morning, I threatened him that I didn't have to take him to the zoo and I would be just as happy to go home and take a nap. Then my brother's ex-girlfriend said that I couldn't do that because they had promised him the trip and he had been looking forward to it. He is four years old, about to be five. It's high time he learned that you don't always get what you want in life and that everything has a consequence. Also his mother talks incessantly and never shuts up. Other than her talking and being at the mercy of someone barely out of diapers, she would be all right. I mean, she likes all that 80s music that I like, but I couldn't stay with them for a month; I'd pull my hair out. Now for my nephew, the thing is he's a total sweetheart, and he's not really mean, he's just spoiled and NOBODY disciplines him back where he lives. He got worse when my brother's ex-girlfriend moved out of their apartment and back in with her parents. I don't know too much about her father, but her mother let him get away with everything. I mean, at the party, he had something (I can't remember if it was a cup or a noisemaker) and when he was done with it he just threw it on the ground. I told him off real quick. He did the same thing at our house and his mother said something like this isn't our dirty house and you just can't throw stuff on the ground. Now I know when a person doesn't have children, they say all this stuff they will and won't do, but I would at least try to instill some decency and common manners in my children. My parents think one summer with us will straighten him out. And it probably would, the only problem is he has to go home where he'll tell them what he won't damn do and if he stayed with us once a year (like every summer or something) we'd have to keep de-programming him until he caught on that he could act one way with us and one way with his parents and maternal grandparents. He would because he's not stupid; he'd catch on within a couple of years. It was sad when my brother left, he cried because he missed up here so much. We all deduced after they left that if it weren't for his son, he would have stayed and he'd be crashing on our couch at this moment. The reason I keep doing the "ex-girlfriend" thing with the line through "ex" is because technically she is his ex-girlfriend (they broke up when she moved out), but she kept expecting my brother to ask her to move back in. HA! But she's a conniving little thing, she used their son to say stuff like "I miss my room", and she kept leaving little stuff when she'd bring my nephew over there, and eventually she never went back to her parents house. So she's really not his girlfriend again. I have no idea why she's pressed over him, but whatever. I know he's my brother, but he's not the most stand-up guy on earth, dating wise, he's actually a decent father; except his son doesn't listen to him. WAR TONY STEWART! He got his first win (finally) of the season, the USG Sheetrock 400 in Chicago. It also didn't hurt that Jimmie Johnson hit a wall with 45 laps to go, while he was in second place behind Tony! It was a good day! Well, I've got to get going, Elliot comes back tomorrow morning after being off since July 3rd. He should be in a chipper mood seeing as our favorite driver won the race and our least favorite hit a wall. But before I go...
WAR TONY STEWART!!!
Jack is still so sexy!

The other title I had for this entry was the Beatle's Hello, Goodbye. Hello, hello. I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello. Dammit, he's still sexy!
I'm phasing.
