Internet was down throughout last week.

So, okay that wasn't the greatest game, it was just really strange all around.
Ben went 9/21, threw two interceptions, ran for one controversial touchdown, and had a quarterback rating of 22.6.
Willie Parker, our leading rusher, only had 93 yards, and the bulk of that was on a 75 yard run for a touchdown.
But, we won. And it is the most surreal thing I have ever experienced. I mean, it just doesn't feel real. And for such a lackluster game, the Steelers made so much history.
Ben- Youngest Super Bowl winning quarterback (SUCK IT BRADY!!!) and worst quarterback rating of a Super Bowl winner. And he was the first quarterback to take his team to the conference championship in his first two seasons.
Willie Parker- Longest touchdown run in Super Bowl history.
Antwaan Randle El- I believe that was the first touchdown pass thrown by a receiver.
Hines Ward- I believe he was the fifth wide receiver to be named MVP and I think this is the first time it has happened in two consecutive years.
The Steelers team- First sixth seed to not only reach the Conference Championship game and the Super Bowl, but win both games; the first team to beat the first, second, and third seeds in the playoffs; and the only AFC team to have five Lombardi trophies. I think that's all of them.
There are more if you count last year's records, but this year's alone are just amazing.
And we got The Bus home. I was emotional. I can't even watch the highlights without tearing up a bit. Especially on NFL Network's Game of the Week, at the beginning they show Ben talking to The Bus, and he was saying that it was an honor to get him there and that he loved him to death, and I couldn't even watch the rest of the show. I'm getting emotional again just thinking about it.
It kind of sucks that I couldn't do this when the game was still fresh on my mind, there is probably so many things I've forgotten. I do know that one of my favorite moments was when Worst Quarterback Ever did the coin toss, and the fans booed him. He laughed it off, but you know he was thinking something of the expletive nature. And when they were introducing the past Super Bowl MVPs, Franco Harris came out waving his Terrible Towel. Awesome.
All in all, there's not too much that will be remembered about the game in and of itself. But I think it has some great liner notes like, Hines was named MVP (couldn't have happened to a better guy), The Bus retired a champion, in his hometown (the odds of that happening are just about astronomical), Bill Cowher finally won the big one (in most other places he probably would have been fired nine years ago), and the city of Pittsburgh, that I hope to visit some day, I'm not sure about living there, cold weather sucks, and I'm in it right now, got it's "one for the thumb."
And the day after the Super Bowl, Ben went on David Letterman and shaved his beard. And the fact that razor companies threw obscene amounts of money at him just so he could shave with their brand is so inappropriate. Only in America. And he shills the hell out of that razor. The only reason I won't say which company it is because they have their name on the stadium of the worst team ever. And don't worry, Ben still has his goatee.
I'm still upset that this inappropriate dude was at the Grammy's on Wednesday. And I missed it. He had on one of those Jerome Bettis Notre Dame jerseys. But I didn't get the photo because it just wasn't a good picture of him. I am slightly kicking myself for not catching it, but two things are my saving grace. One, I don't watch the Grammy's. Ever. I don't really like the current music scene, but when I do like somebody, they never win anything, and they're so boring to begin with. But I bet Ben was the highlight of the evening. He would have been mine. Two, Lost (best show ever) was on. I know, it only runs an hour, but who's to say that Ben wasn't on between 9:00 and 10:01. You never know. Unless you watched it and remembered the exact time he walked on the stage. Not that I would have done that.

Well, I need to be ending this, I got to work. But of course, my favorite photos.

Of course, being the MVP and the fact that the Super Bowl was on ABC, Hines had the dubious honor of giving the legendary line that he was going to Disney World. But I think this was the first time that the MVP took The Bus.

And of course, my favorite player, the youngest Super Bowl winning quarterback, at 23 years and 34? days old, the fact that people knew exactly how old he was on that day is weird.

He had an undefeated rookie season, people predicted that he would have a sophomore slump but took his team to the Super Bowl instead. The only thing I want to know is how he tops this. I guess he has to go back to the Super Bowl and play better, because his stats were just down right ugly. But it was a team effort, and they believed in each other, and look where it got them.

I’m phasing.
P.S. I forgot…
Just 6 more days until Daytona!!
