Christmas Is All Around
Mood:  suave
Now Playing: DC101
I've got the Christmas spirit! I've finished all of my shopping. My mother's present doesn't arrive until sometime later this week, or the beginning of next. I need to wrap my grandparents', then I'll be done until the package arrives.

I don't think I will survive this football season. The Steelers are 7-5, and even if we win out the rest of the season and go 11-5, we could still be left out of the playoffs. If they got there act together, they might do it, but they'll need a loss by the Jaguars, Chiefs and Chargers. Maybe not all three, but a Jaguars and Chargers loss would be GREAT. That's if, and ONLY IF we win out. Ugh, this is going to be a long four weeks. Dude, I can't believe there are only four more weeks in the regular football season. I'm kind of sad about this.

Ben injured his thumb. I'm not exactly sure if this is the same thumb that he hurt last year, but I thought I'd share the news. But he'll keep playing with a special brace on it. Oh, I'm not as angry with him anymore. I realized that this is the time to stand by the team, and the inappropriate quarterback. You have to admit the shirt is ridiculous. But it's times like this that test you as a fan. True, 7-5 is WAY better than 5-7, but when you go 15-1 the previous year, you just expect better than this. But I have to stand by the black and gold, and their inappropriate, sexy-ass quarterback. I can't help it, I love them. And him.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was great. Best of the adaptations I think. True, they totally gave away everything by the end of the movie. Like, if you didn't read the book, there was no great surprise moment of, "OMG! Moody was Crouch, Jr. all along." But not bad. The circumstances of me getting to see it were. I'm really not in the mood to rehash what happened, but my parents almost fucking divorced over a simple concept of going to the mall and buying movie tickets. Things like that make me not want to get married.

Lisa e-mailed me back about where all her money goes. I'm guessing she got her mobile back, because she said she forks over about $50 a month for it. Then it's $80 for the Metro. I guess that's per month. Then she just buys random "crap she wants", her words. That's what will get you in trouble. Man, I budgeted the hell out of Christmas. I think I'm more careful with my money because I have a fear of being broke. I mean really, if you can't save like twenty bucks for the movies, and you get paid ever other week, that's just sad. I mean, I was willing to go to the movies at the Boulevard. That way, all she needed was bus fare and the movie admission price. I'm not usually a big eater when I go out. I'd rather just be hungry and go home and eat. Oh well, I guess it'll be a while before I go out with anyone my own age.

Man, it's still bugging me. I mean, I will splurge every now and then, but honestly. Living paycheck to paycheck in a situation where she should be trying to build up a little something in her pocket. It's just getting under my skin. Like, yes, I will buy stuff from my job, but all the clothes I buy are for work. Plus I've never spent more than like $80 bucks at a time. And I've only bought clothes from there I think three times. And I've been there for almost four months. And yeah, I just bought a Steelers calendar, and a sweatshirt, but I don't do it ever single week, then find myself in the situation where I can't do anything until my next paycheck. I hate to say it, but that's just so... stupid. I know we're not high-rollers or anything like that, and I'm not calling her every weekend saying, "Shopping Spree!" I just wanted to spend some time and see a fucking movie! I need to find out why this is pissing me off so goddamn much. I mean, it's not like she's spending my money. But still, it's blowing the hell out of me.

That previous entry should have been called "The Emoticons Strike Back".

Well, I guess that'll be it for me this time, but...

He's like a china doll, he is.

I'm phasing.
