The open range zoo is teeming with exotic animals from the savanna of the dark continent, as well as Australian animals - some of them endangered species. You’ll see them all from the comfort of your safari bus.
At Werribee, rhinos range free with giraffe, zebra and antelopes, whilst hippos wallow in the waterhole. Vervet monkeys chatter and cheetah survey their territory on the African Walking Trail.

The
Victoria State Rose Garden is a place of peace and beauty.
A huge array of over 4,000 roses occupy the garden beds in the shape of a Tudor rose.
The plantings include bush roses, climbers and standards. Festoons, arches, pillars and pergolas are used to further enhance the gardens design and to show the magnificent blooms to best advantage. The new Heritage rose border includes old style roses from all around the world.
From November to May the blooms in all their glory offer a brilliant contrast of colour across the landscape whilst the heady perfumes wash a romantic aroma through the air.
