SEALED WITH AN X

Teach me all ye know... (Part 1)

Starring: Jon Kellar, Sean O'Gara, Dyna Might, Kev Mania

~We rejoin two of the toXic trio in Sean's little room, where Jon Kellar is reading through a folder~

Kellar: Sean, you'd be hard pushed to find any of this information in any history books I'm familiar with!! How do you do it?

Sean: I have my ways...

Kellar: What's with the air of mystery?

Sean: I find it serves me well, otherwise you'd just think I was just another beer swilling Irish lunatic...

Kellar: Wow... who'd have thunk that...

Sean: Jon, in all the years we've known each other, did it never once occur to you that maybe I knew what I was doing when I was throwing myself off ladders and video screens?  Did you never once think that maybe... just maybe... I had good reason for it? Did it never occur to you that maybe I wasn't just some madman throwing myself off any remotely high structure for the purposes of a cheap pop and a spike in buyrates?

~Kellar thinks about this for a second~

Kellar: No... actually it didn't...

Sean: And you never suspected any of this?

Kellar: Know...

Sean: Then you've answered your own question, the air of mystery covers all this up...

Kellar: Sean, if this was out in the open only you understand it all, what could go wrong?

Sean: Don't tempt fate Jonny boy, just continue reading...

Kellar: What am I looking for...

Sean: Anything that might be useful....

Kellar Anything that Sean O'Gara's intricate web didn't pick up...

Sean: Say that again...

Kellar: What?

Sean: I said anything that might be usefull... then you said....

Kellar: Err... anything that escaped Sean's intricate web...

~Sean snaps his fingers, and oddly enough no videos start playing~

Sean: That's a point...

~Sean slides over to another desk, where his laptop is sitting, he types away~

Sean: The web...

~He keeps on tapping~

Sean: Hello... that's interesting...

Kellar: What?

Sean: Vernon's official website... and listen to this... "It wasn't long before word of this future superstar in the making reached the ears of Mr. Clancy R. Beauregarde, owner/operator of Clancy R. Beauregarde Wrestling, blah blah blah blah blah... Clancy had a meeting with Vernon after the show and made him an offer. Vernon would work the rest of the west coast dates for the tour, and then he'd come back to Louisiana with Clancy and get himself into shape to become a regular member of CRBW's roster. On top of that, Clancy would also personally manage his career. Vernon was elated."

Kellar: So?

Sean: Oh come on Jon even you must be able to see this... Clancy Beuregarde...

Kellar: ...is the git that tried to stop me winning the CoC because Vernon was...

Sean: Never mind that... Clancy has been Vernon's manager since day one, and now on what is almost the eve of the biggest night of Vernon's career suddenly they're having problems? Clancy's telling Vernon what he doesn't want to hear, and Vernon's clearly conflicted about something...

Kellar: So what else is new?

Sean: Jon, if you're not going to take this seriously I wont help you and you can end up looking like an arse come the LOTC tournament, alright?

Kellar: Sorry O'Great one... continue...

Sean: Now during that discussion with Clancy there was mention of some kind of independent tournament, and I've heard several other's mention it too... so if I'm right...

~Sean scoots across the room again, before opening a panel in the paper covered wall and pulling out a ringbinder~

Sean: I was asked to join this but I said no... if it's the one I think it is, one of the toXic troops has been working on this for me, keeping an eye out... here. The Roughkut Invitational Independant Tournament... and look who's down here. 1. Vernon Vanderbil/L* -_vs_-Zane Land/L....Winner - Vernon Vanderbilt/L*, substitute the opponents name a few times and you've got the entire tournament summed up nicely... until....

Kellar: What?

Sean: Neon Leon...

Kellar: What about him? He's some freak from the indy circuits, he's not in the contest...

Sean: He beat Vernon Vandebilt in the final round... and now rumors on the internet and in hotwire magazine say that he may well be on his way to GZW...

Kellar: You know what the internet's like Sean, could be nothing...

Sean: Could also be everything, and I like to think there's no smoke without fire...

Kellar: Hang on... didn't Vanderqueer mention Neon Leon in that chat he had with Clancy?

Sean: Yes... but why do you think that is?

Kellar: At a guess, it's because they're near enough clones of eachother, and Vernon Vandebilt feels that he's being crowded out by a possible newboy, so now he's questioning himself, as to whether he truly is what he says he is...

Sean: Correct, but there's more...

Kellar: There is?

Sean: Bruisermania Wrestling Federation mean anything to you?

Kellar: No...

Sean: How about TNW?

Kellar: Drawing a blank Mickey...

Sean: Long story short, the Bruisermania Wrestling Federation was Vernon Vanderbilt's big break, he won the World Title there and when it closed was ranked 6th in the singles division. That federation's gone belly up so what does Vernon do? He wonders around, jumps from fed to fed until finally he comes across GZW, and signs up, everyone kicks up a fuss, says he's the future, yadda yadda yadda, everyone's happy. Now just for fun he goes off and does the Roughkut Invitational Tournament, where he comes face to face with Neon Leon, who is in most respects a similar guy. Neon Leon gets under Vanderbilt's skin with various stunts involving whores and what have you, and this pays off because come matchday he gets the better of Vernon.

Kellar: But he comes from TNW...

Sean: Which in Vernon's eyes is a backwards federation way below GZW's standards. Now GZW is trying to hire this guy, who we've already established is a similar guy to Vernon in terms of appearance and flamboyancy, so Vernon feels that his home is being invaded by a guy who he perceives to be an employee of an inferior federation. When they were having their little fracas, Venon Vanderbilt said, and I quote, "You're desperate, Leon. It's going to catch up with you eventually. Win or lose, I'll have done what I came here to do. But will you have done the same? Time will tell, Leon. Time will tell. You disgust me. I have nothing more to say to the likes of you. See you in the ring, Leon."

Kellar: But it wasn't that simple, because if Leon is indeed on his way here, then Vernon has to face up to what happened. Vernon's convinced that Leon is coming to take his place and now, because of what Leon did to him, he thinks the whole of GZW's out to get him and don't want him here... what he thought was dead and buried has come back to haunt him and now he doesn't know what to do...

Sean: Give the man a medal... so of course now he's broken out of that flamboyant exterior... and we're seeing Vanderbilt's true side...

~Sean stands and walks over to the wall where Vanderbilt's photo is stuck, he pulls out another photo of Neon Leon and sticks next to him, with a two way arrow in between them. He writes the word "hate" on the arrow, then writes a short summary of what has just been discussed on a stick it note, which he puts underneath Vanderbilt's picture~

Sean: Now see Vanderbilt thought he was going into this match with 2 big vendettas, one against you for the CoC ending... and the other against John Taylor.... now he has a third big vendetta, but only two eyes... and he can't look 3 ways... plus he's also got problems with Seth Raide concerning the nature in which their rematch ended... so....

~Sean gets a piece of red paper, and cuts out an arrow, which points to an already placed picture of John Taylor~

Sean: Now... what do we know about our current Lord of the Coliseum?

Kellar: Been around since day one... knows the score... current Lord of the Coliseum... former

Sean: Made you tap out...

Kellar: HEY!

Sean: Jon the sooner you accept that the past is the past and move on the easier this will be... John Taylor made you tap out, the ifs and buts and Seth Raide's involvement has are unimportant... what is important is that you recognize that John Taylor has a 1-0 lead over you and you haven't had a chance to square it... now check this out...

~He grabs a printout that was pinned under John Taylor's picture, and hands it to Jon Kellar~

Sean: Read the last entry...

Kellar: December 31st, 2004 – After 69 days and seven defences, Taylor finally loses the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship to Pimp Bizkit at Aftermath 2K4 under shady circumstances. Post-match, GZW legend Sincere makes a surprise comeback after two and a half years to attack Taylor and label him ‘everything wrong with the GZW2K1 of today’.

Sean: And it just so happens that Sincere is back in town...

Kellar: Oddly enough I noticed... bearing in mind he attacked me backstage...

Sean: Supposedly.... you never saw his face...

Kellar: Alright assuming it was him, he still beat me to a pulp when I was injured, tried to use my face as a roman candle, and then promptly burnt my title belt...

Sean: True... and then said something like "I wanted to show Jon Kellar that he was not quite ready for the path he was looking for..." and "...for all intent and purposes Human Dynamite needs to remember his station lest he feel the Fire of the Dragon once again." Now he's expecting you to come back at him with some nasty quip and challenge him to a rematch... but you're not going to...

Kellar: I'm not?

Sean: No... you're not. Knee jerk reactions never helped anyone, besides he's busy being occupied with....

~He points to another arrow on the board leading from a picture of Sincere back to John Taylor~

Sean: Lord John Taylor... now if you'll forgive the cliche... it seems the circus is in town. First we've got Vernon's rival from the Roughkut tournament possibly sitting on GZW's doorstep, and now we've got Sincere trying to rekindle something with John Taylor... and we have you sitting here with everyone looking at you as the guy whose spark has gone out after it was initially so bright... these guys are more concerned with people outside the tournament than they are with you. Now I haven't been able to aquire a copy of Aftermath 2k4 unfortunately, but I'm guessing that John Taylor, having just lost his World Title, isn't going to be too happy when some veteran nobody's heard a word from for 2 years suddenly drops in unexpectedly and tells him what a disgrace he is. Rubbing salt in the wounds is what it is...

Kellar: And now, having just lost his title to Seth Raide and with the title seemingly out of reach...

Sean: Boom! Sincere's back again... you were in the wrong place at the wrong time unfortunately but his beef's not with you, it's with Taylor... and do you honestly think that Taylor can possibly shove that under the mattress and move on? Hmm?

Kellar: I guess not...

Sean: And what's more, as it turns out this Sincere character has a history with Zander Frost....

Kellar: Oh?

Sean: Yep... again, so similar they hate each other's guts... don't rely on too much happening there... but chances are this may develop in your favour. What you don't need is to go running after Jade Dragon with a large metal pole and get yourself more enemies this close to the tournament. Sooner or later you'll meet... this chart signals that as an inevitability... but for now your focus is on the tournament, all other concerns are secondary and we will factor them in nearer the time.

~He takes the printout and puts it back where it was~

Sean: Everything is in some way connected in this company Jon, all you have to do is find the connections and see how they can connect to you, for better or for worse...

Kellar: This is a lot to take in...

Sean: Yeah I know... you want to take a break?

Kellar: Not on your life...

~The scene fades with the two of them continuing to analyse "The Wall"~
