Our mourning for the word long forgotten in Core…… Responsibility

::Gideon has on his cowboy gear but he hasn’t got the guitar with him. That explains why Neil is still there and doesn’t look pissed off. They are walking into the Core Arena.::

Neil: Why are you still wearing that shit Gideon? You look like a roided up Garth Brooks for F$%k sakes.

Gideon: I have a plan.

Neil: I know that but do you have to look like a F$%kin idiot to do it?

Gideon: These Cowboy boots are Guchi made you know. It takes a lot of money to look this cheesy. All I can tell you is I have a plan and when it is over on Smash you will understand.

Neil: I hope it is worth it.

::Gideon smirks as they head to the interview area. Neil shakes his head. He knows Gideon has this planned out for every possible thing that can go wrong. If Gideon is dressed like this there is a purpose but damn if he can figure it out. Course he always hated chess.::

Neil: So how long have you known about Steph coming to Core?

Gideon: About a week before you did Neil.

Neil: Figures. Going to be an interesting team. Steph is the most dangerous woman I know. A hell of a scrapper and when she is pissed she makes me look like Mr. Rogers.

Gideon: … "When you are pissed"?

Neil: Har dee har asshole. This coming from a guy that… Aw F$%k it I ain’t even going to bother.

::Gideon is snickering a bit. Neil has a smirk. They enter the interview area and wait for the equipment to be set up.::

Neil: So what are we going to do?

Gideon: Shoot our mouths off.

Neil: Any particular targets or do we just wing it talking shit about anyone that pisses us off?

Gideon: Whatever we decide. I think the moral of this rant will be responsibility.

Neil: So we really piss off Jake then.

Gideon: You understand my thinking. Plus we will go down the roster as well. After all it is fun.

::Neil is laughing as they are given the countdown. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…::

Gideon: Howdy y’all I reckon some of the slowed folk haven’t gotten the point yet. As my grand pappy Jerimiah Ezekiel Wilber Fontaine the fifth used to tell me. "Gideon have two things in life a bus ticket and a roll of duct tape". Well I never forgot those words. I think we had him committed that week. I think the old fella was a little touched in the head. Still I never forgot the lesson I learned that day. "An insane person will ramble on about nothing for hours at a time thinking he is smart."

Neil: Let me translate for you that don’t speak Oklahoman. There are idiots in Core like Tribulations and ICONS that will tie up our mike time because Matt Lanier is too much of an idiot to know the guys can barely grunt their name let alone be turned loose on an open mike for 10 to 15 minutes.

Gideon: Now since I ain’t got muh geetar I can’t sing you a song about the Tribulations. Sad I reckon because those boys are a country song waiting to happen. Ain’t one of them with a lick of talent or the common sense their daddy gave them. I like to blame it on that new fangled rap stuff. Stuff ain’t right and a tad immoral though those dancing girls shaking their fanny are right neighborly.

Neil: Amazing how that works ain’t it. I’m here and there is no guitar.

Gideon: I think the big man is feeling a touch ornery. Well as they say down in the south "Git yer hands off muh cousin dad she is muh wife".

Neil: ……… What in the hell has that got to do with ANYTHING.

Gideon: I’m planning on making fun of Jake Finale. Lets face it the guy is a delusional moron at best and a member of Lanier’s family at worst. Jake Finale how is your life these days?

Neil: He got kicked to the curb and kicked in the crotch..

Gideon: You are thinking why me. How could this have happened? I loved her. It is time for you to take some responsibility. Since that word is not something you are familiar with I will explain what it means. The state, quality, or fact of being responsible. Something for which one is responsible; a duty, obligation, or burden.

::Gideon is smirking.::

Gideon: Don’t you just hate hearing these words Jake. Let me tell you what you told Paige at Gold and Glory. (Gideon clears his throat.) "Oh please...you kicked Artemis' ass twice. This match is going to be quicker than a hand of Black Jack.". You disrespected her. You pretended to care and maybe you even believed it yourself. But you treated her as nothing more then mere window dressing. All you did was treat her like a playboy model you were putting it to not a person that actually cared for you. Paige isn’t in Core to shake her ass like the other playboy model wannabes in Core. She is actually interested in wrestling and you pissed on all that. You never saw a woman as an equal. All you look at them as is a F$%k toy for your amusement to be put in the closet when you are done with her.

Neil: You f#$ked up big time. Steph and I both wrestle. Before we got married we even fought each other for the UJW world title. I never looked down on her as a woman and I respected her. She fought guys twice her size like me and you know what she never backed down and took the fight to me tooth and nail. I wouldn’t trade a day of my life with Steph for anything… Well except that time she made meatloaf but anytime you spend 4 hours on the shitter wishing for death don’t make your best of list. The happiest days of my life were when we got married and the birth of our son.

Gideon: You never looked at her as a person or cared for her as a person. You are such a self centered prick you never even noticed that you were losing her. Do you think she would have been attracted to Jason if she was happy with you? It isn’t all about Jake Finale and how important he is. It is about respect and love. You gave her neither because the only person you are in love with is yourself. Your ego will not allow you to cheat on yourself by loving another.

Neil: Me me me me me. All your life consists of is me and how does this effect me. I’ll let you in on a secret. Jason Hughes is an asshole. Ain’t no sugar coating it. Hell after talking to him for 5 minutes I knew what type of guy I was dealing with. We understand what we are dealing with and we like his work ethic. Still it has to be burning a hole in your stomach knowing that Paige chose him over you.

Gideon: The beauty of this is you understand Jason Hughes. I don’t have to tell you anything you haven’t told yourself. Paige chose him because he is the better man. He actually gave her what she needed emotionally while you just paraded her around like a trained poodle you have to lick your face and make you feel like you are the center of her universe. Women do not like to be treated like objects. Neil and I had enough one night stands to populate a small island.

Neil: You care for a woman you do the right thing. You have to take the responsibility to make her as happy as you can. If you can’t care for her needs you haven’t got any business being with her in the first place because she deserves better then a shallow self-centered prick that only cares for himself.

Gideon: Which brings us to that magic word Finale "responsibility". You are responsible for losing Paige. You are responsible for losing to Artemis. You are responsible for Jason Hughes even getting an opening. That is one thing I learned about Core. No one believes in responsibility.

Neil: Tribulations loses to us it isn’t their fault. It is the refs for not catching us cheating. We aren’t nice guys if we have an opening we take it because we can’t be bothered playing around with the half wits.

Gideon: Willie has a painkiller addiction. It isn’t his fault. There are just so many pills and he is in a lot of pain. Willie isn’t a drugged out loser using pills as a crutch. It is the doctor’s fault and the fault of his injuries which he is working through.

Neil: Morpheus Omega goes out like a bitch with barely a whimper but that isn’t his fault it is his tag partner’s. The fact he hasn’t done anything but be a bitch for Matt Lanier doing his stooge work isn’t his fault.

Gideon: It isn’t Ted Master’s fault he can’t get any respect because he is the unified Siren and Classic champ. It isn’t his fault he is the only man ever to be the Siren champ. It is our fault for not respecting Canadian wrestlers in Core.

Neil: It is not Alex Seeves’s fault that there are more attacks backstage then in the ring. Hell it has to be rap music or some other BS.

Gideon: Sadly it is his fault. He has done nothing and let the backstage of Core turn into a modern day lord of the flies. Yet there is still no responsibility.

Neil: So here is a little moral for you. When someone tells you to take responsibility for yourself tell them you don’t have to you are going to be a wrestler in Core.

Gideon: Look at Matt Lanier. He hated Eugene FitzPatrick but he completely denies any responsibility for being exactly like him. He runs Core the same way hiring and firing on a whim. He books matches based on who he likes and who he doesn’t. He makes life hell for anyone he doesn’t like. When Fitz did this he was an evil power mad asshole playing favorites. When he does it that is all right because he has a sharp suit. No responsibility for making the same mistakes that Fitz did and being even worse because he knew how bad Fitz was personally.

Neil: Then you have guys like Tribulations all push and damn near no talent. We half assed the match and took them 2 straight in a match that was only supposed to go 1 fall. We get a pin on the illegal guy and the match is recalled. I get hit with the chair and there is no DQ. You think Matt would have taken any responsibility if we lost the tag titles. Ain’t his style. His boys get screwed he does something about it. We get screwed they get a free pass.

Gideon: It is all about responsibility and being a man. Do you remember when I got sprayed in the eyes with the hair spray. Neil put Veronica through a table. It was simple cause and effect there. Did she complain about it? Did she say "I didn’t deserve that". She knew she deserved what she got and she accepted the responsibility for it. That earned her some respect from us. She took a brutal beatdown by Neil because she owned up to her mistake.

Neil: Now we would talk about 420 but they can’t even be bothered to come to the arena to try and build up some interest for the match. They expect the title shots but no responsibility for actually EARNING a title shot. What have they done to earn their spot? Not a F$%kin thing.

Gideon: Matt brings them in and is it his fault they are lazy and not worth the money he paid for their contracts? No it is their fault. After all why would the guy scouting and hiring the wrestlers be responsible for them being lazy and not doing anything.

Neil: Some of you idiots should get a dictionary and bookmark the page where it explains what responsibility means.

Gideon: Then mabye there will be more then 6 people in Core that know what the word means. We are done here and this is a wrap.
