"The Smoking Skull" Dan Burns

The scene opens to a dark room. The light flickers in the corner. The ceiling is cracked in several places, soft spots can be seen where it and the wall meet a few drops of water can be heard hitting the scratched wooden floor of the room. There are no windows, a few pieces of wood ducked taped to the frame are in there place. Several padlocks lining the side of the door where a knob is absent. In the center lies a military style bed with a visible lump in the center. In the corner the camera zooms in on a new leather gym bag and next two wadded it up into a ball a long trench coat, a pair of red tinted sun glasses lie on top. The light finally comes on only to blow out. As it does a man walks in. The camera only shows his feet. a pair of worn out work boots with frayed jeans over it. He steps towards the camera, cigarette smoke snaking it's way downward. The camera pans upward revealing the jeans to be somewhat new, a worn leather jacket, now grey and slightly cracked. The camera goes still further up revealing the face of a man with black hair, "The smoking Skull" Bud Burns? He tossed some keys onto the bed and looked about his eyes seeing every thing was the way he had left it several years ago except it was now worn and unkempt, unfit to live in any longer. His gaze stops, fixating on the camera. He peers in cocking his head side ways saying his first words into a camera in almost two years.
Dan Burns: Hello wrestling fans, I'm back and ready to kill again. It was two years ago that I retired; two years ago I left never to be heard from again or to be seen by the wrestling world. Two years ago that I retired from in ring competition two long hard years struggling to stay invisible but that ends today. That ends now for I am “The Smoking Skull”. For five years I busted heads, ended careers, screwed partners over more times then I can remember. I drunk beer, raised hell and loved every damn minuet of it. You may be thinking to yourself that after two years in self exile that I don’t have it in me any more to compete. That the fire no longer burns and that I am not the same son of a bitch that I was back then. I might be a little older but I am the same jackass that I was and always will be. You got RPW you got OCW all fighting well it better stop today because you sons of bitches cant stand up to Dan Burns. I will run through each and every one of you. I have done it all and I don’t care to tell about it so don’t ask. I had to close down every thing, my mind. I closed my eyes, closed my world and never opened up to anything. To much can make you blind, I seen so much in so many places, so many dirty things you couldn’t even believe. I would stand in line to watch this life go buy. I would sit there watching it all go by because I had every thing and I walked away, simply it fell apart, like it always does to all the other people. Your probably sitting there wondering why I said Dan Burns? Your sitting there wondering why I didn't call myself Bud Burns, he died two years ago when I retired and dissapeared. The legend that is Bud Burns lives on only in memory.
Dan Burns: Extreme ways are back again. Extreme places I have gone, nothing seen in the light. There is always room in life for this. Dirty rooms, dirty bases bumming rides to shows wrestling for ten fifteen dollars a match, yeah I did that. I didn’t have much to say, I still don’t. Too many things to take over me, so many faces have passed in front of me. I live by this world, this place is my little room to get away from it all. I am “The Smoking Skull" Dan Burns. I'll take any son of a bitch in that locker room and tear through them.
Dan Burns: I have better words in my other suit but then again I have never been one to where suits. I have been here with chemicals, been here with out. It’s not the road but the air ahead. I’m a genius as long as we are cheating. If it is ok to refer to ourselves in third person then I am still honest. I am Just a thing taking up the wheel. The boy is out to lunch and I am the boy’s made deal, with the armchair doctor and the armchair man in the out to lunch hat. I am “The Smoking Skull”. If the weather’s back, If his head’s intact, What’s to do with the wheelman, What’s to be done with the solution, If I am your solution, And you are the problem then how are we one RPW? We’ll come through the loudspeakers, loud enough for the so called Gods to hear. There will be hell to thank for my path of destruction, and high water for all. Gods and artists will run to the hills to find none left. Lawmen and bankers were all robbed of their knack for theft. I was not robbed for my knack of busting necks. If I’ve a deficit in your eyes and a debt to pay, I’m a construct of pulses and names, if that’s the sky falling and god with it…..I”M BACK. Watch the skies RPW for I am coming BACK.
Dan Burns: I have watched the changes that have gone on here in the wrestling world, I have seen federations like the RPW evolve in the quinessential wrestling promotion, but RPW is nothing with out a headliner like "The Smoking Skull". I simply dont accept anything but the best and thats what I am, the absolute best in the business today. Now I gave you the tape roll it.
The scene cuts to a still dark arena, the RPWtron cuts away from Dan Burns, going black as Mattalica's Seek and Destroy blares through the arena and a picture of Dan Burns holding the xWa (not the one on xnet) world title back in 1999 when he debuted there. The scene then bursts into flames showing clips of some of his greatest matches. A scene of him flying off a latter crashing through the ring. Clips of four our five different opponets getting flipped off. Opponets he has left in pools of blood flashed up on the screen and speeds up till a red flame consumes it going back to the picture of him with the world title belt, the bottome of the screen still burning and it slowly goes up into flames culminating in the words "Skull Freak" the RPWtron jumping back to Dan Burns.
Dan Burns: You see my career is and was more promising. I am the greatest person to ever walk into a wrestling arena. I take pride and joy in the work that I do and it cant be taken away from me. You see upon my return I have one man in my sites, one man and only one man and that man is Tommy Gnosis, RPW world heavy weight champion. See I have a few issues with Gnosis, when you look back at the past that was Bud Burns you knew the "Skull Freak" was in it to win it and still is. See this isn't all because of his world title, I don't have any vendettas with him. It is simply about a 1 on 1 match to see who the better man really is. Tommy Gnosis has been riding buckshot over RPW for almost three months, sinced it first opened, and yeah with that championship belt he can say that he is the best, or make that was. You see Gnosis I will end your title reign, the era of rude and crude is back and I am the Smoking Skull Dan Burns.
