The following is a rp that I wrote halfway right after the results were posted…they are fiction…then the rest I wrote is true and I need to speak out to let off some kind of steam. Sorry for the OOC post in a rp.
No body famous…just
me…it’s better to have loved and lost than never have loved before…try it.
-David Dunn (2/12/03)
***The scene opens on a
pitch-black dark night somewhere in Weslaco Texas. The only light seen is that of streetlights and signal
lights. A cool breeze sweeps through the town blowing palm tree to the
side a bit. It's a night almost out of a horror film. You know the
kind. Its cool, dark, hardly any lights, then, bang! Some nut job
in a hockey mask kills some cute little girl. Only...that's in
movies...this is real life.***
***FLASH***
***The scene moves down
an alley where we see smoke rising from some old pipes. Only the
beginning part of the alley is noticeable because of the smoke. Suddenly
a noise is heard echoing off the alley walls. It almost sounded like a
tin can or something metal being kicked or maybe even falling to the ground.***
***FLASH***
***The scene moves
closer to the where the smoke begins. Slowly it moves closer and closer
until suddenly it starts to go through the smoke. The noise is heard
again now. This time closer than before as if it was moving towards the
end of the alley. A tin can flies out of nowhere. It flies out of
the smoke, the alley as well, and on to the street.***
***FLASH***
***The scene moves out
of the smoke and closer to the end of the alley when a person walks out of the
smoke. The smoke rises over his body then slowly floating up into the
sky. We can see that the person is a man wearing a black over coat with
black boots, a black button shirt, and black slacks. As the man walks out of
alley we catch a glimpse of his face. His facile expression is
horrendous. The gentleman looks very angry and maybe a little
disappointed to boot. The man slowly exits the alley and on to the
street.***
***FLASH***
***The scene moves down
a bit down the street to see the man slowly making his way to where a red-light
is located at. The man shakes his head side to side as if something
shocked him. Closer the man gets to the red light. We watch him for
a while. The way he walks, dresses, and acts. As we focus on his
face we finally realize that the man is none of that the Goddamn Fucking
Franchise, David Dunn.***
DUNN: Strick
Carrington…
***With each passing step David seems become more upset than we first saw. Suddenly David stops right in the middle of the street. His head looking down at the ground. His eyes, now closed for some reason or another.***
DUNN: Strick I told you I’d be back. I told you that when I came back I was going
to make you pay for what you’ve did to me.
I think I proved that too you Strick.
Chair shot after chair shot I watched to hang in pain. You see I could have set you on fire and
ended your life like you tried to do to me.
But I don’t want to end it quick.
I want to prolong it for days, weeks, months if need be.
***David lifts his head
for a second...his face is all red...his eyes, bloodshot. The scene moves
down his body to notice his hands are now rolled up into fist...they are both
shaking lightly so it's sure to assume that there rolled up tight as if he was
ready to hit someone or something.***
DUNN: I’ll never forgive you Strick, I never
forgive you for trying to fire me up like a fourth of July barbeque. I hate you
Strick I hate you with a passion. More
than even The Dope Show.
***His fist slowly
unroll themselves. David seemingly is
trying to relax.***
DUNN: You know I don’t like him, I never liked
him. Our wars made the WEW
legendary. Of course it doesn’t matter
any more, Till isn’t my enemy any more, you are. He came to me you see, he told me that he could help. He told me that he hated your ass almost as
much as he hated me. You’d be surprised
what a few beers can do to help two people settle some of there
differences.
***David lifts his head
up once again. As before he starts to
walk towards the ref light.***
DUNN: For you Strick, there’s not enough beers in
the world that settle our differences.
I’ve beaten once, Shaw’s going to beat you next, then, then Till’s going
to get a piece of your ass. Fuck my match
this week, I don’t care about Stone or Hawk.
There nothing to me but sad pieces of shit that happen to get SWF
contracts. So fuck’em. I’m not showing up to Adrenaline for a win
in some stupid tag match…I’m showing up to hurt you Strick.
***With a few movements
of his arms David slips off his coat and throws it over his shoulder. David still is walking to the red light down
the street.***
DUNN: The funny thing is…you know I’m coming for
you. Your betting on it. I’m glad.
It’s makes it so much fun when you know I’m coming after you.
***David reaches the
red light. He stops directly under
it. He looks up at the light change
from red to green. A smile forms on
David’s face. David looks down and
continues on his way down the street.***
***FLASH***
***The scene reopens at
David’s friend’s house, Chad Longoria.
The scene moves inside to see David and Chad talking over a couple of
beers in the living room.***
CHAD: …so you know what happened then right?
DUNN: Yeah and really don’t care. Let’s just drop it okay.
CHAD: Yeah.
No more info needed. HA, HA,
HA!!!
DUNN: No shit.
CHAD: So how’s Jeannette doing?
DUNN: Wouldn’t know. I’ve been trying to call her for like almost a week now.
CHAD: No answer at home?
DUNN: Nah.
I guess she’s pissed off at me or something. Shit lately I’ve even been thinking she’s been cheating on me.
CHAD: Dude she loves you man. There’s no way in hell she would cheat on
you. She loves you too much man. Hell I should know. I’m the one who introduced you two.
***Chad gets up from
the couch.***
CHAD: You know you should try her mothers
house. She could have gone over there
to see her mother. Any ways, you want
another beer?
***David looks at his
beer.***
DUNN: Yeah sure.
***Chad goes into the
kitchen.***
DUNN: Fuck it.
***David pulls his cell phone out of his jacket pocket and dials Jeannette’s mothers house. Ring after ring no one picks up. Finally after about twenty rings Jeannette’s mother answers.***
MOM: Hello?
DUNN: Hi this is David. Is Jeannette there?
MOM: Well, I, hold on…
***David shakes his
head for a second.***
DUNN: What the fuck?
***Someone picks up the
phone again.***
AUNT: Hello, David?
DUNN: Yeah?
AUNT: This is Jeannette’s aunt.
DUNN: Hi, what the hell is going on?
AUNT: Look, Jeannette isn’t here.
DUNN: Where is she?
AUNT: She got sick.
DUNN: What do you mean she got sick?! What the hell is going on here?!
AUNT: It’s…well…where are you?
DUNN: I’m at my friend Chad’s right now.
AUNT: Could you come by here?
DUNN: Why?
What’s going on?
AUNT: Just come over. We need to talk.
DUNN: Fine…I’ll be right over.
***David hangs up the phone and a very sadden worried look forms on David’s face. He opens his phone and dials a number.***
DUNN: Shit…
***The screen on his
phone reads Knapp Medical center.***
KNAPP PERSON: Knapp Medical Center.
DUNN: Yeah, has a woman by the name of Jeannette
Ipina-Dunn been checked in as of late?
KP: Let me check sir…
***Sweat starts to
slowly drip from David’s face as he waits for a response.***
KP: Hello sir?
DUNN: Yes.
KP: I’m sorry sir we don’t have any one by that
name.
DUNN: Um, thanks.
***David hangs up the phone and starts to rock back and forth right as Chad enters the room with two beers and a bowl of popcorn. Chad looks at David for a second then puts down what he’s carrying.***
CHAD: You okay man?
DUNN: Nah man.
I’ve far from alright. Something
happened with Jeannette.
CHAD: What?
What happened?
DUNN: I don’t know man. I called her mom’s house and her mother couldn’t tell me
shit. Then her aunt got on the phone
and told me she wasn’t there. I pushed
her…she said she was sick…can you give me a ride over there man. Her aunt said she needed to talk to me.
CHAD: No problem man. I’ll grab my keys.
***Chad runs off to the
next room to get his keys.***
***FLASH***
***The scene reopens
with Chad pulling his truck up at the Ipina family home. David jumps out of the truck and runs to the
front door. Before David can even knock
Jeannette’s mom walks out.***
DUNN: What the hell is going on?
MOM: Hold on.
***Jeannette’s mom goes inside the house and grabs the home phone. She calls someone over the phone while David starts pacing outside. Jeannette’s mom finishes her call them walks out.***
DUNN: So what the hell is going on?
MOM: Just hold on okay.
DUNN: Where the hell is Jeannette?!
MOM: Please just hold on.
DUNN: Goddamn it!
***David begins to pace
once again.***
***FLASH***
***The scene reopens with a car pulling up to the Ipina home. A woman gets out and walks up next to
David.***
AUNT: Hello.
I’m Jeannette’s aunt. Her
mother’s sister.
DUNN: Hi…what the hell is going on?
AUNT: Her mother didn’t know how to tell you this
but…Wednesday night Jeannette hand a break down.
DUNN: What?!
Where the hell is she?
AUNT: She broke down and told her mother all the
problems she has been having. So on
Thursday they checked her into the hospital.
They didn’t know how to tell you it.
So, I agreed to break the news to you.
DUNN: Okay, where the hell is she. I called Knapp, she isn’t there. So what the fuck?!
AUNT: Before she left she gave her mother the ring
you gave her, and left Mary with me.
She said she didn’t want to be with you any more.
***Jeannette’s mom
hands David the ring he gave Jeannette.***
DUNN: I…I…don’t get this. This isn’t right. What the fuck!
AUNT: Her father went to pick her up Sunday. She wasn’t better but they gave her some
medicine to help her out.
DUNN: So where the hell is she then?!
AUNT: Sunday night she overdosed on the medicine
they gave her from the hospital. I’m
sorry…
DUNN: Your sorry?
Your fucking sorry! Why the hell
wasn’t I called right when all this shit began?! Huh?! Why the hell wasn’t
I told?
AUNT: She said she didn’t want any part of you.
DUNN: Bullshit!
Your full of shit! Her whole
family has always hated my ass. I’ve
treated her better than any of you assholes.
Any of you. I loved her with
every bone in my body. She loved me
with everything she had. So don’t tell
me that she didn’t want any part of me.
Don’t tell me that you stupid bitch.
AUNT: Look I know your upset…
DUNN: UPSET!
You bet your ass I’m upset. You
just told me in the nicest fucking way you could that Jeannette didn’t want to
see me any more then killed herself. I
can’t believe you assholes…I…
***David starts to lose
it.***
DUNN: …I…I can’t be here right now…
***David starts to head
for the truck.***
DUNN:
I’ll have Wilson pick up Mary later tonight. Chad let’s get out of here.
***David climbs in the truck. Chad follows. The truck starts and drives down the street. David looks outside the window as Chad leans over and places his hand on David’s shoulder. His eye water…his face turns red…memories of his girl run through his head repeatedly…finally in a moment of pain David screams out.***
DUNN: GODDDDDDDAMNIT NOOOOO!!!!!!
***Tears now round down David’s eyes as he cries over the pain that fills inside him.***
***FLASH***
***The scene reopens
with David standing outside in the rain with a blank look on his face. The rain falls heavy and covers David but
you can still see tears running down his face.
No emotion…only a blank look of someone who has lost everything…and
gained nothing.***
DUNN: I still remember the first time I met
you. Chad and I were driving around
town with a cooler filled with beer. He
called up your cousin Elsa. He asked if
it were would be cool to drink out at her place. I saw you there. So shy,
so innocent, so alive. I knew at that
moment that I had to be with you. When
I was with you, I knew you were someone I had to marry. When we were married, I knew I wanted to
spend the rest of my life with you…only…only it didn’t work out that way. God I miss you. I miss you every passing moment of every passing day. I miss your smile…your laugh…the way you
could just put your arms around me and everything in the world didn’t seem so
bad. Now my world has been
shattered. I find myself waking up
every morning screaming your name…wishing you were here with me. I wasn’t the best guy in the world, I had
lots of problems…but you were always there for me. You didn’t judge me for the way I acted…only the way I was
inside. I may never be able to find
that again…if I looked a hundred life times…I would never be able to find
someone like you.
My only regret is the
last time I saw you…coming home from with movies with Chad. He mistakenly scared you…I thought it was so
funny…I had to scare you just for a laugh.
I dropped you off and said I’d talk to you later…funny that was the last
thing I can remember…me scaring you…it may seem petty to most people but to me
it speaks levels. Now I stand alone
once again. Alone in a world that
destroys a piece of you with every breath you take. I will always love you Jeannette. No matter what people say, I know you loved me too.
Jeannette if your
looking down on me, please give me some kind of fucking answer to why you did
this. I’ve been thinking about it for a
while and I still can’t figure it out.
Why Jeannette…why couldn’t you just talk to me? I’ve always been there before for you. Why couldn’t you just pick up the phone and
call me…this is a thought that keeps running through my mind. I may never know the answer…but at least I
know you found a peace that it seems I could never give you. Jeannette you will always be in my
heart…and…my soul. I love you…goodbye…
***The scene fades to
black.***
