Those who are angry walking into a conflict…

Usually don’t walk out angry…

Basically because they’ve either lost or they died.

***The scene opens with a shot of a local gym in Weslaco Texas.  The scene starts to move down to the gym….BAM!***

(FADE THE HELL UP)

***We find David Dunn bench pressing while his business manager, Chad Longoria, stands over him counting each press he does.  Up and down David presses the weights until suddenly Chad’s cell phone rings.  David stops and looks up at Chad.***

CHAD:  It’s my phone dude.  Just go back to work.

***David nods and continues his work out.  Chad reaches in his pants pocket and pulls out his cell phone.***

CHAD:  Chad Longoria.

***There is a woman on the phone, it seems to be David’s wife, Jeannette.***

JEANNETTE:  Chad, where the hell are you two?

CHAD:  Were at the gym.  Why?

JEANNETTE:  Because we need to talk about what you have been doing with my damn husband.

CHAD:  What do you mean?

JEANNETTE:  What do I mean?  Okay fine.  You signed on to help David out.  To keep him under control.  So what do I see when I tune in to Adrenaline?  I see you breaking in on Chris Carey’s office and demanding things.  I see David attacking Kyle Broadway and throwing him through a table.  I see David attacking Konrad from behind before his match starts.  Then that whole belt crap.  Your not helping him, you’re making him worse.  David would have never done any of that stuff in the past.

CHAD:  Maybe that’s the problem.  A few weeks ago he was being pissed on in the middle of the ring.  But now he’s kicking ass and taking names.  He finally got his title shot this week.  The boy is doing better than he ever did in the past.  So what if what he’s doing a few things that are looked down on.

JEANNETTE:  Looked down on?  He got fined 50,000 dollars because of one of those little things that are looked down on.  Were not a rich family Chad.  50,000 dollars is a hell of a lot of money for us to lose because you two want to have some chainsaw fun.

CHAD:  It was he’s choice, a damn good one at that, so don’t be bitching at me Jeannette.  He’s living his own life.  He’s doing what he thinks it right.

JEANNETTE:  I don’t believe that.  I think he’s doing what you’re telling him to do.

CHAD:  Believe what you want to believe.  Know this though, after Saturday, all your money problems will be over.  He’ll be the National Champion and then all your money troubles will be over.  50,000 dollars will looks like milk money after Saturday.  I promise you that Jeannette.

JEANNETTE:  What if he doesn’t win?

CHAD:  Don’t even think that.  He’s training, he knows his opponents, and he’s ready for this match.

JEANNETTE:  That’s all fine and good Chad.  The money would help out.  But at what price?  I married a good man.  I just hope I get one back after you’re done with him.  Goodbye.

***Jeannette hangs up on Chad.***

CHAD:  Hello?  Jeannette?  Goddamn it.

***Chad puts the cell phone back in his pocket.  David looks up at Chad.***

CHAD:  It’s nothing, get back to work.  You still got a lot of training to do before Saturday.

***David nods at Chad and continues his workout.***

CHAD:  One……two……..three………four………

***David looks up at Chad surprised.***

CHAD:  Look I’m sorry.  I lost count.  You just got to start over.

***David starts again.***

CHAD:  Five…….Six…….Seven…….Eight……

***The scene fades out.***

The SlaughterHouse

***The scene reopens on the bottom level of a barbwire cage.  It seems to be at least three stories high into the air.  In the middle of the second level Chad sits down on a wooden stool while David stands behind him with his arms crossed.  Around David’s waist is the customized belt that was seen in the closing minutes of Adrenaline.  A smile forms on Chad’s face as he looks back at David and the belt.  He then looks up at the third and final level of the cage.***

CHAD:  Another event, another statement.  I could go on with a big speech or two about my man or the birds and bees.  Yet, a man has stepped out of the darkness to try to disgrace my business partner.  So let’s just jump right into the mix and talk about Kyle Broadway.  A small pathetic little man that wouldn’t know true talent if it bitch slapped him in the face.  I got to know Kyle, who the hell do you think you are?  You think your someone special?  Your not.  You think David should respect you because you beat him?  Or the fact that you have four, count them, four championships?  I think not.  You’re a punk.  Hold on, I take that back, your nothing more than what he pulls off his shoe after walking his dog in the morning.  Your nothing more than dog shit Kyle.  Plain and simple.

***Chad gets off the chair and stands next to David.***

CHAD:  Oh, did I offend you?  Who cares Kyle.  Cause frankly, you offended him a lot sooner than we ever offended you.  Remember the match you two had?  You pissed on him if I’m right.  So now your pissed off because he’s been attacking you every chance he gets?  Are you really that stupid or is it all just an act?  Do you really think for one fucking second that if you do something like that to someone that they aren’t going to make you pay for it?

***Chad pats David on the back.***

CHAD:  So that’s what you been doing.  Paying the price for your actions.  Oh course now after you’ve been beaten down for the past few weeks all I hear for you bitching, crying, oh and watching you basically making a complete ass of yourself.  But what do you care, that’s what your good at now isn’t it?  Or maybe it’s going around like a five year old calling everyone you hate a faggot.  Is this really your idea of getting a point across?  Is it?  If not tell me now and maybe we can move your actions up to an eight year old from a five year old.

***Chad sits back down on the stool.***

CHAD:  What?  You think I’m done?  I haven’t even begun.  You had your time Kyle, now it’s my turn.  You want to call my business partner a little on the boring side.  He never said he was funny.  He never tried to be funny.  All he tried to be is him.  It shouldn’t and doesn’t matter if he’s funny, or if he’s ugly, or if you don’t care for the lines on his face.  He’s actions make up for all that and more.  Or wasn’t his actions enough on Adrenaline for you?  He picked your ass off the ground and slammed you right through a table.  Did it hurt?  I sure hope it did.  There’s more to come I’ll tell you that much.  Yet, it almost seems you like it.  You just keep running your mouth again and again with out think for one split second that someone might just shut you up.  All of this could have been avoided Kyle.  All of it.  But you wanted to embarrass my business partner.  Then you want run your mouth.  Then for a pathetic display of cowardice you try to bribe him with your stupid TV title.  I can’t believe you Broadway.  Do you really think for one second that David would accept your little TV title…especially since this Saturday he’s taking your National title away from both you and Konrad.  That’s right Kyle.  The match you screamed out about not happening, is happening.  Didn’t you tell me that number one contender spot didn’t mean shit here in the SWF?  I guess Carey thought other wise now didn’t he?  Contrary to your belief any way, the number one contender spot does mean something in the SWF.  It means you have proven yourself to all the right people and they believe you should move up in the ranks.  That’s why he’s facing both Konrad and you Kyle.  Not because you don’t believe he has earned the right to, but because Carey and everyone else on the board believes and has seen that he has earn the right too.  Your opinion in the matter means exactly shit.  All your job is right now is to show up and get beat up.  He’s done playing with you Kyle.  These past weeks have been a field trip compared to what he’s going to do to you Saturday.  Trust me when I say this, one way or another, it ends this Saturday.  Either it is with David losing, or him becoming the SWF National Champion and proving to the world that he’s ready to be the star the SWF needs.

***David takes off the customized belt and places it on his shoulder.  Chad looks back and smiles again.***

CHAD:  The boy does look good in gold.  Enough said.

***The scene fades to black.***
