With the passing of time everyone learns that sometimes when you feel you can’t go on…

It’s maybe just best…

To let go.

***The scene opens with a shot of a beautiful blue sky…BAM!***

(FADE THE HELL UP)

***Jeannette Dunn is walking around the living room of the Dunn Family home.  She just walks back and forth waiting for something or maybe someone.  Suddenly the door busts open and Chad Longoria walks through.  Jeannette runs up to him and hugs him.***

CHAD:  I came as soon as I could.  What’s the deal?

JEANNETTE:  It’s David.  Ever since we got home he hasn’t even said two words to me.  He’s just been sitting in our bedroom with a bottle of Jack Daniel’s looking out the window.

CHAD:  So what do you think I could do?

JEANNETTE:  Your one of his best friends, well, maybe he’s only friend after last week.  I thought maybe you could talk to him.  Maybe someway get through to what his deal is.

CHAD:  Look, Raul was my best friend.  I knew him longer than I knew David.  Talking to David or even just seeing him is going to be a little tough on me.  But I’ll try.

JEANNETTE:  Thank you so much Chad.

CHAD:  Don’t even worry about it.

***Chad hugs Jeannette again, then proceeds to walk up the stairs to David and Jeannette’s bed room.***

2:15 pm

***Both Chad and David walk down from the bedroom.  David walks outside the house while Chad walks up to Jeannette.***

JEANNETTE:  So?

CHAD:  It’s a fucked up person that enjoys what he does on a mistake.

JEANNETTE:  What do you mean?

CHAD:  I talked to him for about thirty minutes until he finally cracked.  He told me what was bugging him.

JEANNETTE:  Raul right?

CHAD:  Yes and no.  He told me shooting Raul was the hardest thing he ever done.  Yet, looking back on it.  He was glad it happened.  Because it opened his eyes on his life.  How he was, how he is, and how wants to be.  David has decided to walk that road that many people have strayed from.  This is a road he can’t walk alone…so he has asked me to be his partner in it.  I’m going to be his business manager until he feels he can walk the road alone.

JEANNETTE:  What does all that mean?

CHAD:  To tell you the truth, I just said all that and I’m still puzzled about it.  In plain terms, David isn’t sure about himself right now.  He needs someone to keep him under control.  He’s asked me to be that someone.

JEANNETTE:  Why didn’t you just say that in the first place?

CHAD:  Well…never mind.  I’ll see you later.  Me and David have some work to do.

***Chad walks out the door leaving Jeannette alone inside the house looking on.***

Phoenix, AZ

***The scene opens in the America West Arena.  David and Chad are walking down the halls until they spot one of the stagehands standing around reading a newspaper.  Chad walks up to him.  The stagehand looks up from his paper at Chad.***

STAGEHAND:  Can I help you?

CHAD:  Yes you can son.  Where’s the president?

STAGEHAND:  Who?

CHAD:  The president…of the SWF?

STAGEHAND:  Oh.  Have no clue who that is.  I go by names around here not by titles.  Just tell me the guy’s name and I’ll point you in the right direction.

CHAD:  That’s the problem.  With all the staff changes around here as of late I have no clue who the hell is in charge any more.  There’s been more power switch around here than a South American country.

STAGEHAND:  Sorry man.  Guess I can’t help you then.

***The stagehand goes back to reading his paper.  Chad grabs the paper and throws it too the ground.***

STAGEHAND:  What the fuck man!

***David walks up behind Chad.***

CHAD:  Look punk.  I tried to be nice.  I tried not to get rude or anything.  All I wanted was for you to tell me who was in charge.  What do I get though…rudeness.  I hate that.  So does my partner behind me.  So if I were you, I would find out who the hell is in charge, and deliver a little message for myself and Dunn.

***The stagehand nods his head nervously.***

CHAD:  Tell him that not giving David his title shot this Saturday was a big mistake.  Putting him in a match with Konrad was his second mistake.  Placing Kyle on the card was his third mistake.  Pissing him off next week when he is deciding the lineup, will be his fourth and final mistake.  Got it?

***The stagehand nods his head yes.***

CHAD:  Now get out of here.

***The stagehand takes off down the hallway as Chad and David walk off in the other direction.***

The SlaughterHouse

***The scene reopens on the bottom level of a barbwire cage.  It seems to be at least three stories high into the air.  In the middle of the bottom level Chad sits down on a wooden stool while David stands behind him with his arms crossed.***

CHAD:  By the screwed up choices of our fearless leaders here in the SWF, David Dunn, the Goddamn Fucking Franchise, has been placed in a match with Scott Konrad.  This is all fine and good…but far from right.  It should be Kyle, Konrad, and Dunn for the National championship.  David won the right.  Yet, it seems the SWF is over looking him yet again.  No matter.  The more you overlook him, the more he’s going to be in your face.

***Chad gets up off the stool and starts to pace the cage.***

CHAD:  Now that I’m thinking about it.  David shouldn’t face Kyle and Konrad for the National championship.  David should have already been awarded the damn title.  Why you ask?  Let’s look at the facts here.  Kyle and Konrad ended the match in a draw.  Now seeing the match had no clear victor, the title should have been vacated.  Early that night David became the number one contender for the National championship, meaning he was clearly in the top spot next to the national champion.  After the referee mix up, the title should have been award to David seeing he was indeed the number one contender for the title.

***Chad stops.***

CHAD:  Of course none of that happened.  Instead as I said before, the GFF is booked against Scott Konrad.  A fine wrestler in his hay day.  Yet, times are changing and a new star is being born in front of the world.  This man…

***Chad points to David.***

CHAD:  …is a person that has destroyed everyone and everything that has ever stepped in front of him.  Win or lose.  Want to throw triple threat match at him?  No problem.  Hardcore rules match?  No problem.  Steel cage?!  Oh that was no problem at all.  So now the great rulers of the SWF, no not AMW, but the VP’s have decided to sign Konrad’s death warrant.  They have decided to place one of the co-champions in a match against a man that just doesn’t give a damn any more.  He doesn’t care if he hurts you Konrad.  He doesn’t care if he ends your career Konrad.  He doesn’t even care if he kills you Konrad.  These are the questions you have to think about when you step into the ring with David Dunn.  Not if he brought his A-Game.  Or if he’s going to surprise you.  Or if he’s prepared.  But is he going to hurt, break, or kill you.  I’m not telling you this to make you scared.  Just to warn you.  I don’t want to see another person hurt by this man.  I’m doing my best to control him, but god only knows how long I can do it for.  I’m just one man Scott, as you are.  I’m sorry to say but all the training, prayers, and wrestling moves you can think of aren’t going to save you when that bell rings.  All I can say is, don’t blame me, don’t blame yourself, blame the SWF.  They didn’t want to give David his shot, so now your going to have to pay the price.  Let’s just hope it’s not with your life.

***David walks up behind Chad.  Chad turns he’s head and smiles at David.***

CHAD:  Enough said.

***The scene fades to black.***
