(The scene opens up backstage at the Cheyenne Civic Center in Cheyenne, WY where the first TpS PPV will be taking place. Most fans are inside the arena for the Verge of Destruction preview show where the card is hyped to it's fullest to increase buyrates at the last moment. Commentators Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are hyping the upcoming matches on the show when we catch up with them.)
JR: Ladies and Gentlemen what a card we have for you tonight. Trish Status, Destiny Lopez, The Mistress, and Stacey Keibler will be competing for the TpS Women's Championship.
King: That's the main event in my book JR. Whooo-Hooo.
JR: We will also see Snyper taking on Mental Clown for the Xtreme championship, Sean Randolph going up against Mongoose McQueen for the #1 Contendership to the TV Title and Shadow going toe to toe with Psycho Clown for the North American title.
King: Speaking of the TV Title we will also be see'ing Matt Hardy, Daredevil, Rob Van Dam, and Tyrant competing for that title.
JR:In our semi-Main Event we will be see'ing a sure slobberknocker when Kyle Helms takes on Ground Zero for the #1 Contendership to the Global Championship. Kyle Helms is coming off a big win against Cyrix Van Gore and Ground Zero is coming off a loss to Martin "The Mexican Bull" Tank who will be squaring off against Bastian Bailley for the Global title in our main event.
King: I can't wait JR!!
JR: Well folks you can see all of this LIVE and only on Pay-Per-View so call up you local cable or satillite provider and order TpS Verge of Destruction because this is going to be one for the ages!
King: JR, let's head to the back where the lovely Paula Paulshock is standing there with Ground Zero.
(The scene cuts to the backstage area where TpS interviewer Paula Paulshock is standing there with Ground Zero who is wearing a lime green workshirt, sunglasses and black jeans. Paula raises the mic to her lips and begins the interview.)
Paulshock: Ladies and Gentlemen I am standing here with Ground Zero, tonight he will be taking on Kyle Helms for the #1 contendership to the TpS Global Title. Ground Zero, before we get into that I would like to know why you came out at the end of last night's show when Syxx-Pac and your rival Sean Randolph were going at it?
GZ: Well Paula both of those guys have been running their mouth's about me for some time now and it will be coming to an end soon.
Paula: What about that smile you and Sean Randolph shared when Syxx-Pac was laid out in the ring.
GZ: Well as you know, Syxx-Pac and myself do not get along and when Sean Randolph laid him out I gave him a smirk to tell him that I approved of it but he will be the next one to be laid out. (pauses) Furthermore what are we talking about that for? I have a big match tonight against Kyle Helms. That is what this interview is for correct?
Paula: Sure, Sorry about that.
GZ: Don't be sorry, just do your job.
Paula: Ok now Ground Zero, you and your opponent tonight Kyle Helms have not seen eye to eye a lot in your past. Infact you two have fought a lot in the past. What is your mentallity going into tonight's match?
GZ: My mentallity? Well I know Kyle Helms good. Hell I've beat him in 90% of our matches together and just like in the NMWA, Kyle will not be able to rise to the occasion in a big match against the man you see right here. Kyle is a great wrestler I will give him that but when it comes down to me and him in a big time match he chokes. Plain and Simple and he will do it again tonight. That is just the way he is. Kyle will make that key mistake and I will capitalize on it and score the victory. That is the match in a nutshell for you right there.
(Fans cheer loudly inside the arena.)
GZ: If you'll excuse me Paula, I am going to finish what I have to say about Kyle Helms out in front of the people. Thanks for having me though.
(Ground Zero walks off screen and begins to head towards the ring. With that we cut back to JR and The King.)
King: Is Ground Zero coming out here JR?
JR: That is what he said. Ground Zero has been a little, how should I say this, off as of late. One minute he is acting like a superstar should and the next he is acting like an asshole. That's right I said it! Back there with Paula Paulshock he seems very confindent heading into tonight's match when he got his ass kicked against Martin Tank on Wednesday.
(Just then "IronMan" hits over the PA system and Ground Zero walks out to the ring to a good pop for the fans but still largely mixed. Some pyro's go off as Ground Zero walks down the ramp. Ground Zero slaps some fans hands as he walks aroudn the ring. He then climbs up the ring stairs and walks through the ropes. Ground Zero then climbs to the top rope of one corner of the ring and raises his arms in the air. He then walks across the ring and does the same to the other side. He then climbs down and heads over to the ring announcer who hands him his mic. Ground Zero then walks around the ring for a few moments before coming to the middle. He raises the mic to his lips and begins to speak.)
GZ: Now this is better. Let me first start off by saying a special goodbye to my dear old friend Cyrix Van Gore. Yes, Cyrix Van Gore has retired from the wrestling world. Now many of you people know I am not the kind of man to say I told you so, but I did. I am just glad Cyrix finally listened to me and did what was good for him for once. If he would have kept it up there is no telling what could have happened to him. But all joking aside, Cyrix was a friend to you and to me and I had the boys in the production van make up a little goodbye video for Cyrix. Guys if you can hear me, hit it.
(The Jumbo-Tron comes on and we see some clips of some of Cyrix's best moments in the NMWA to slow music. After a while of this the video cuts to shots of Ground Zero beating on Cyrix at several of their matches. Clips of Cyrix bloodied and bruised after matches are show and then we see Groudn Zero doing his finisher to Cyrix from different matches. The video then cuts back to Cyrix holding the Xtreme title over his head and him defeating several superstars. The video then ends with a shot of Cyrix leaving an arena. The video ends and we cut back to Ground Zero in the ring leaning on the ropes.)
JR: Real nice huh King? Ground Zero really is acting like I said earlier. An asshole.
King: Relax JR. It's all in good fun.
JR: Good fun my big Oklahoma ass!
King: HA!
GZ:Touching and Classy. Nice job guys. HA! Ah we had some good times huh? Hope you liked that Cyrix because you TRULEY deserved it. HA! Wow, kind of brings a tear to your eye when you see it. But in all seriousness let's concentrate on bigger and better things than Cyrix Van Gore and his retirement. Tonight it is indeed true that I am facing Kyle Helms. I've beat him so many times it is hard to tell but the man has heart. He keeps coming back for more and I take my hat off to him because he beat Cyrix in his final match and sent his ass packing once and for all so kudo's to him on that.
GZ: Now then, the winner of our match will go on to face either Bastian Bailley or Martin Tank. Now we know who the winner of one of those matches will be, Ground Zero over Kyle Helms if your confused. But Bailley and Tank will be good. I am looking forward to see'ing it and I am hoping Martin Tank takes it all because I have some unfinished business with him and I will get what is mine one way or another and I want to even the score with Tank to do it. Tank did what a lot of people have failed to do in my career and that is beat me on their first try and I will not let that go unanswered. But that is a different story for a different day. Tonight's task at hand is Kyle Helms. Kyle two weeks ago you come back and you lay me and Cyrix out just when I had Cyrix begging for mercy and that upsets me. Then you go and join the 10,000th reincarnation of TpS Revolution and get a mega push which upsets me somemore. I've read the internet stories of what it took to get you hear but the fairy tale ends tonight. Your comeback tour comes to an end when you go face to face with Ground Zero and what better way to have your chances at championship goal shattered that against the man who has done the very same thing in the NMWA to you. Take all of the glory you are getting from this push of yours in because tonight it all ends.
GZ: With that I will end this promo of mine. I would like to thank all of you wonderful people for showing up tonight and I hope we put on a great show for you tonight because this is The People's Show, and if there is one thing Ground Zero cares about it is The People. THANKS!
(With that "IronMan" comes on again and Ground Zero hands the mic back to the ring announcer and exits the ring. He slaps a feww hands heading up the ramp and then disappears behind the curtain. JR and King then begin to speak once again.)
JR: Did you see that King? One minute Ground Zero is polite and sounding sincere about the retirement of Cyrix Van Gore and then he plays a video which starts off nice and then embarrases Cyrix Van Gore. He then begins a ruthless rant about Cyrix and his opponent Kyle Helms before closing politly and thanking the fans for coming out and telling them that he cares about the people. Yeah Right. The man is nuttier than a fruitcake.
King: I can't figure him out either JR, but he does sound ready for Kyle Helms tonight. That match is going to tear the roof off this arena I can tell you that, and how do you know Ground Zero doesn't care about that people? He just said he does.
JR: Let me tell you something King. Ground Zero cares about one thing and one thing only. Being the champion and being at the top of this business. Not the fans. Not you or I. Hell not anybody else for that matter.
King: Calm down JR. We'll take a break and when we come back we will hear from Bastian Bailley about his upcoming match for the TpS Global championship.
(Scene ends and we head to a commercial break.)
