(The scene opens just an hour before the Verge of Destruction pay-per-view. Everyone in the arena is psyched up for the first Pay-per-View of The People's Show. The camera cuts to inside the arena where tonight's commentators Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are going over notes for tonights action. We then cut to the backstage area where we see a hallway with a row of wooden doors. The camera comes up to a door that says "Ground Zero" in lime green letters with a white outline. Suddenly a hand comes into view and knocks on the door. After a few moments the door cracks open and we see Ground Zero's face. He looks at who it is and then opens the door wider. The camera then turns to the person who knocked on the door. It is a TpS staff member.)
GZ:Yeah?
Staff: Hi, Ground Zero. I was told to remind you that you're up in 10 to cut a promo inside the ring.
GZ:Alright thanks a lot pal.
(GZ taps the guy on the shoulder and then shuts the door. After a few moments Ground Zero's real life girlfriend is shown exiting the room and a little while after Ground Zero steps out. He is wearing blue jeans sunglasses and a black t-shirt. He is also carrying a half empty bottle of water. He takes a few sips on his way to the entrance ramp and then throws the bottle into a trash barrel. Once Ground Zero gets to the guerilla area "IronMan" hits over the PA system and the fans inside the arena begin to cheer loudly. Ground Zero then comes out behind the curtain and the fans erupt with cheers. Some pyro's go off on stage as Ground Zero continues to walk down the ramp. The camera then shows a sign that reads "Ground Zero=Future Global Champion." Ground Zero proceeds to climb up the ring stairs and then walks into the ring. Ground Zero does his usual turnbuckle climb routine to all four corners of the ring and then picks up the mic that is laying inside the ring for the announcer later in the evening. The fans cheer as Ground Zero licks his lips and begins to speak.)
GZ:Alright. Now I know that you all have probably been watching the preview shows for tonights pay-per-view not to mention the television appearences by Bastian Bailley, Sean Randolph, and Kyle Helms. Well even though I wasen't invited I am not bitter. I have been on talk shows before so I guess they just wanted some new blood. No big deal. But last night I was watching our recap show TpS Shotgun and I saw footage of myself going into Martin Tank's locker room and I am sure you all jump to conclusions and think that because he offered me a spot and I went to his locker room I automatically am joining forces with him. Well let me clears this up. I am not joining Martin Tank. He made me an offer and I went to see what he had to say but believe me when I say Ground Zero will not be leaving the fans side.
(Loud Pop for Ground Zero.)
GZ:Now that I made that clear allow me to talk about my opponent this evening, although I am sure you have all heard what we have had to say about eachother enough this week but please allow me to endulge you for the last time about this match. Now I have noticed that Kyle Helms has been playing Tom and Jerry with Tank but come on. Lighting a motorcycle on fire? This is wrestling for christ sakes not an action movie. But fear not, for tonight I will teach Kyle Helms that problems are settled in the ring and not by lighting property on fire. I mean when I fought Cyrix Van Gore in what some claim to be the best match of my and his career he played with my head by kidnapping my wife and I was so preoccupied that I didn't concentrate enough on my match and I lost in a match that I should have one and tonight I plan to beat Kyle Helms and maybe he'll learn the lesson I have in the past. But what surprises me is that he has not learned the lesson already. He has been around just as long as I have. Guess that is what comes from fighting in matches that are not all that important. Ha!
GZ:So Kyle you can go allign yourself with that nut Victoria if that makes you happy but when it comes to wrestling I have the upper hand and I will prove it tonight. You see I am not all about talk. I am about action and my actions will speak louder than words tonight. So Kyle, enjoy the night with Victoria but don't go making celebration plans just yet because you are not going to get the win tonight. Ground Zero will not be a stepping stone for you or noone else. As for Tank and Bastian Bailley. Whoever wins tonight will have their work cut out for them when I get my title shot. But good luck to both of you tonight. Thanks folks and enjoy the show!
(Ground Zero smiles a bit and then puts the mic down and makes his way to the back as "IronMan" plays in the background. Ground Zero then makes his way up the ramp and then walks behind the curtain as the TpS logo flashes on the screen and we get ready for the "Verge of Destruction" Pay-Per-View to begin.)
