Raised in suburban Toronto young David Roberts appeared to be leading the everyday life of most teenage boys his age. Yet fate was about to through a twist into the young mans life. His mother sent him down to the local tavern to retrieve his drunken stepfather. Drunk and hostile his stepfather came at him before the on lookers. He swung at David and within moments found himself crumpled at the feet of the young man courtesy of a stiff right from a local biker named Ratchet.
Within a few years David grew hardened and streetwise under the watchful eye of Ratchet. Bar brawls and strapfights became a way of life for the big man and it wasn't long before David had earned his gang colors and streetname... Deviant. It seemed that a life in and out of prison was destined for the big biker but fate stepped in once more.
Deviant had just finished vanquishing another drunk at the Grey Goat (his favourite watering hole) when a man in a suit approached. This was to be his first encounter with french wrestling promoter/ manager Jean Luc Lefevre. It took some convincing but within time Jean Luc had Deviant working the various county wrestling circuits where he learned the ropes in and out of the ring. He was well on his way.
As his reputation grew the phone calls came from various larger federations. Jean Luc managed his young prodigy well and had him wait until finally the right opportunity arose. It came in the form of seasoned veteran "The Kiwi Icon" Robbie Douglas. Douglas was in a federation by the name of the OWO and needed a rough and tumble partner in crime. Deviant fit the bill perfectly and the Commonwealth Wrecking Crew was forged.
The OWO was the ideal place for Deviant to make his big time debut and before long he turned heads first capturing a Hardcore strap. This wasn't to be all however! Deviant lost that strap and went over the edge... When he finally refocused through the cloud of voices in his head he battled his way to Tag Team straps with partner The Canadian Lumberjack and individually he won the North American title strap to become the first dual title holder in OWO history. It seemed a Heavyweight Title shot was just around the corner for Big Daddy D when fate intervened once more. The OWO fell on hard times and closed its doors leaving Deviant looking for a new place to spread his brand of chaos.
This came in the form of the ECWC. Former Wrecking Crew stablemate Rob Taylor had obtained the ECWC and was looking for talent. Deviant signed on ready to start where he had left off in the OWO. Yet it was not to happen as upstart talents were stealing the show leaving Deviant stranded on the undercard. Finally at his breaking point Deviant snapped unleashing the voices he had contained within. Assuming the identities of wrestling legends of the past and present Deviant enfuriated fans and through opponents off their game. He surged his way through the ranks finally obtaining Heavyweight gold. Yet fate was to intervene yet again... the ECWC closed it's doors leaving Big D to slide into obscurity.
Or had he?? Deviant showed up at a recent LAW taping leaving devastation in his wake. He looks bigger and meaner than ever. What does fate hold for him next??
