Revision

Revision

Real Name: Marcus Jameson

Nickname: The Future

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 190 lbs.

Hometown: Las Vegas, Nevada

Physical Description: Revision doesn't strike a very imposing figure at all. At 5'10", it's needless to say that intimidation isn't one of his strong points. However, Revision makes up for his lack of overall fearsomeness and strength with a lithe, agile form that compliments his unique style of high-flying and technical abilities. Revision, though not overly-muscular, has a very toned and solid body for his size, with lean, strong arms and legs, and a flat, chiseled abdomen. Revision's blonde hair, which is extremely soft and very straight, is kept at chin-level, and is often swept behind Revision's ears to keep his vision clear. Revision's light, ice blue eyes are somewhat narrow, and his thin eyebrows add to an overall look of mischeviousness. Revision's teeth are perfectly white and straight, and he wouldn't have it any other way, seeing as his trademark smirk would be marred by a lack of dental hygeine.

In Ring Attire: When making a public appearence, Revision is often seen in a casual suit, usually consisting of a button-up white shirt, with khakis and an open jacket of varying colors, though usually dark in tint. However, when out of the public eye (which isn't very often, as Revision loves to be the center of attention), Revision is often seen wearing normal clothes such as t-shirts and cargos, as well as a pair of old, beat-up Converse All-Star sneakers, worn with age, their former white color marred by the amount of dirt and mud Revision has collected on them over the years. Revision does enjoy to wear the official BTWF windbreaker jacket, however, and is somtimes seen with it at BTWF public relations events.

In the ring, Revision dresses in a pair of short tights that come down to about mid-thigh, dark blue in color with two thin, parallel black stripes going down either leg. However, on special occasions such as Pay-Per-Views, the colors will change from dark blue to black, and from black to white. Below these, Revision wears small black knee pads, more to keep him from putting too much strain on his knee joints than to keep him from scraping his knees. Right below these are a pair of black boots that come up to just below the knee pads, laced up the front with white strings. Revision also has a pair of elbow pads, black in color, with the right one a bit larger than the left, also there to keep pressure off the joints. Revision wears a pair of black, leather, fingerless gloves as well, with a gold, choker-type necklace around his neck. During his entrance, Revision also wears a dark blue boxers robe, made of a thin, silk-like material, with white trim around the opening in the front, cuffs, and the hood.

Bio: Marcus was born to Lucy and Jared Jameson on June 9, 1983, in a local hospital at Las Vegas. His parents were casino entrepaneurs, and Revision grew up with the best of everything. He was a spoiled brat, and due to the fact he was an only child, he grew to become very selfish, and was never really exposed the concept of sharing in his younger years. As he grew older, Revision became somewhat of a daredevil, often pulling off crazy, life-threatening stunts when nobody was looking. Jumping off the roof of his parents mansion onto a trampoline forty feet below, for example.

One day, while flipping through the channels of his satellite, wide-screen TV, he found a telecast of lucha libre. Amazed by the fantastic high-flying maneuvers these Mexican marvels pulled off, he decided right then and there that he was going to grow up to become like them. It was one of the few goals he didn't get bored with after a week.

His parents, of course, payed for everything, getting him the best trainers money could buy. Amazingly, despite the little prat he was, Revision seemed to have an innate talent for wrestling, and this was developed throughout the years. Eventually, he traveled down to Mexico, where he had a short stint as the masked El Diablo Blanco. However, he got bored of people not seeing his dashing good looks, and made the trip back up to America to wrestle in leagues there.

Eventually, Revision found his way to the BTWF in late summer of 2004. He made a big impact almost right away with his cocky attitude and high-flying abilities, and had a short rivalry with another cruiserweight who had joined during that time named Tsunami. During August of that year, he won a six-way single pin battle royale containing Tsunami, Seraph, Irvine Kanyon, Icy Ali, and Ravena, pinning Tsunami with the Envision Flip v1 (a 180 Springboard Shooting Star Press) after Icy Ali connected with a Whisper in the Wind, but was taken out of the match by Fox with a Superkick. He went on to face Xunkai for the Small Fry championship at Ragnarok '04 in a match that many herald as the best Small Fry title match ever. The match did end in a win for Revision after he accidentally knocked Gray Fox out and brought a chair into the ring, only to have Xunkai take it away from him. However, Gray Fox awoke at this point and saw the chair, disqualifying Xunkai for it. The title does not change hands on a situation like that, however, so though Revision had won the match, he still wasn't the champion.

The next month, Revision was involved in a six-way Ultimate X Invitational for the title with Tsunami, Alex Auldron, Twilight Tokyo Rose and, of course, Xunkai, which ended in him getting hit with a Corkscrew Moonsault off a scaffold from Xunkai that put him and Alex Auldron through a table. Meanwhile, Icy Ali was the one to climb the ropes and get the title. Revision left the BTWF for a while after that, feeling that the fed wasn't really right for him. He went on to have some success in indy feds throughout the states, but finally did make his return to BTWF at Mutual Annihilation '04, where he came in after the final Small Fry Championship match in BTWF to bash the title into the back of Twilight Tokyo Rose, the new champion's, head in a delcaration of war of sorts.

However, Twilight took her leave of the BTWF soon after, and Brian Blade proclaimed that the Small Fry division, as well as its championship, was now defunct. In outrage, Revision came out after the announcement to demand compensation, only to be met by the current Gaia Champion, Rocky, who challenged him to a match at BTWF's first ever inter-fed PPV, Absolute Zero. Revision fought hard, but Rocky was finally able to beat him with the Eighth Wonder, and Twilight appeared to get revenge, bashing her title belt into the back of Revision's head. Strangely enough, she again left the BTWF afterwards. After his loss to Rocky, Revision felt a little down, especially when The Heat took the title from Rocky in a 2/3 Falls match two weeks later in Rocky's last match in the BTWF.

Revision got another shot at the Gaia title against The Heat with Shadow Starr, Heat's old partner-turned-enemy, as the guest referee at Civil War '05. He lost there, too, after some shenanigans with Shadow and Heat, and fell into even more of a slump. However, another chance to redeem himself soon came. Riona Langly, having recently come back at the Civil War PPV, offered him a match at the BTWF's One Year Anniversary PPV, Legacy of Supremacy. After a long battle, with Revision attempting to play mindgames, using the finishers of past enemies of Riona, he finally won his match after accidentally taking out Grey Fox and bringing a steel chair into the ring, taking Riona out with a modified Vertebreaker onto it and getting the three count afterwards. After the match, Austin Azure and Xunkai, Revision's old rival, came to the ring and offered Revision a spot in their new faction, Empty Promises. Revision accepted.

Coming off the momentum of this big win, Revision faced Shadow Starr, who had recently lost his title match to Heat at Legacy of Supremacy for the Gaia title, in a Number One Contender's Match. The match was interrupted when Shadow attacked Heat, who was doing ringside commentary at the time, and it was declared that the match was a draw due to disqualification. Revision, furious at this, demanded he get his title shot. Heat gave it to him, and to Shadow as well, facing both of them in a Three Way Dance at Payback '05. Shadow was eliminated after getting an Inverted Brainbuster onto a turnbuckle from Revision and a Game Over from Heat, leaving the champion and Revision for the end of the match. After another knocking out of the ref, Revision removed an acoustic guitar from under the ring, bashing it over Heat's head and following it up with a Standing SSP for the win and the title.

Back at Legacy of Supremacy, the returning Twilight Tokyo Rose had won a Four Corner Survival Match for an open shot at the Gaia title, redeemable anytime throughout the BTWF '05-'06 year. She cashed it in during May of '05 after a confrontation with Revision backstage during a Madness show. The crowd was very excited for this match, knowing that it had been in the making ever since Mutual Annihilation. Revision was the winner in the end, however, hitting Twilight with an Inverted Brainbuster onto a turnbuckle and a Wave of the Future to the back of her head to retain his title.

Meanwhile, Red Comet, a Coast-to-Coast Wrestling superstar made his return on a Madness afterwards, proclaiming that he wanted to face Revision to determine who really was the best cruiserweight in Gaian wrestling. Revision accepted, and the two met at the Tournament of Gods II for Revision's Gaia title. After a high-flying, high-impact match, Revision knocked out the ref once again before once again retrieving a guitar. Red shocked the crowd, as well as Revision, by hitting an Enzuigiri to the guitar, breaking it. Revision countered the Starscream into an Alabamaslam onto the remains of the guitar, however, and finished Red off with a Future Shock into the same remains for the pin.

The next week, Revision accompanied Austin Azure to the ring for a post-ToG II announcement. Throughout the past few months, Xunkai and Azure had been battling Steve Twist and Riona Langly, though Revision stayed off to the side of the feud mostly, concentrating instead on holding his title. As the runner-up in the Tournament of Gods II, Azure had earned a shot at Revision's title, but seeing as Revision was Azure's faction partner, Azure had suggested that Revision make an open title challenge. Revision accepted. The person that accepted was none other than the exaulted Steve "Savior" Twist. Called by many the greatest Gaia Champion in the BTWF, the fans got quite excited at the prospect of a match between the two.

On Madness: Night of Champions IV, Revision faced Steve Twist for his title in a high-impact match, with Revision working the injured arm of Twist from his barbed wire ropes match at the last PPV against Xunkai. Just after Twist hit the Tranquility, Azure, who had accompanied Revision to ringside, through in the towel for his partner. After some checking, the officials found that this meant Twist won the match, but Revision kept the title. Revision was rather angry at this, however, and left Azure to be beaten by Steve Twist after the match. Some say the breaking up of Empty Promises is right around the corner, with tension between Azure and Revision mounting and Xunkai on the injured list, but only time will tell...

Entrance Theme: "Hysteria" by Muse

Entrance: The lights in the arena dim to a dark blue as the bass guitar intro of "Hysteria" by Muse floods the sound system. As drums come into the song, two white spotlights come on at the top of the entrance ramp, illuminating the area in front of the curtains, showing Revision with his back to the crowd, dressed in his dark blue boxer's robe, hands down at his side. As the main beat of the song kicks in, Revision throws his arms out to the side, a wall of white pyro erupting up from the top of the entrance ramp. Revision emerges from the smoke with his arms out to his sides, slightly curved upward at the elbow, fingers curved in somewhat towards his palms. Revision tosses back the hood of his robe with a jerking motion of his head, looking around the arena with the blue eyes hidden behind his sunglasses. Revision does a slow 360 degree turn as he moves down the ramp, bringing his arms back down to his sides as he reaches the bottom of the ramp. Revision walks over to the nearby steel steps and climbs up onto the apron, walking out towards the middle of the ropes and turning to face the entrance ramp, one arm splayed out across the top rope. Revision gives a smirk to the crowd before slipping in between the ropes and moving to the middle of the ring, bringing his arms up once again in the position they were in before, doing another 360 degree turn before falling to his knees and tossing his head back as white sparks shower down from sets above the turnbuckles. The lights snap back to their normal white glow as Revision stands up, untying his boxers robe and removing it before handing it off to an official as well as his sunglasses as his entrance theme cuts out.

Wrestling Style: Revision tends to be very speedy and quick with his moves, fond of springboard moves and dropping his opponents on their heads with variations of Brainbusters.

Movelist

General Favorites: (Tornado, Reverse, Spike) DDT, Back Drop DRIVAH, Superkick, Springboard Spinning Wheel Kick, Moonsault Kick, Enzuigiri (all varations), Hurricarana (all variations), Brainbuster (all variations), forearm strikes

Submission Favorites: Dragon Sleeper, Mexican Surfboard, STF

Aerial Favorites: Asai Moonsault, Shooting Star Press, Front Flip Crucifix Senton Suicida (Rope Flip Senton with arms in crucified position), Standing SSP, Corkscrew Moonsault, Houston Hangover, Corkscrew Plancha

Other Favorites: Super Arabian Powerbomb (Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the top turnbuckle), Arabian Facebuster (Leg Drop to face with chair between leg and face), Twisting Springboard Dragonrana, 180 Springboard SSP

Signature Moves:

Tornado Crusher: Twisting Tiger Suplex '85. Revision applies a Half Nelson with his left arm to an opponent, then reaches around with his right arm to grab his left arm, then twists around and swings the opponent over to land a modified Half Nelson Suplex.

Stomp to the System: Revision gets his opponent down on the mat, laying on their stomach. He then places one leg in between theirs, and hooks their shins across it to trap them there while grabbing both of their arms and pulling them upright. He then places his free foot on the back of their head, then lets go of their arm and brings his foot down, driving their face down into the mat with a stomp to the back of their head. Revision can also stomp their head into a bottom turnbuckle for extra damage.

Full Circle: Revision stands back to back with an opponent while facing the ropes. Revision reaches back and wraps his hands around the opponent's head, as if about to go for a Neckbreaker. Instead, Revision runs forward up the ropes and uses them to flip backwards. At the height of his flip, Revision releases one hand and pulls the opponent into a Front Facelock with the other, turning his body until he lands in a laying down position, spiking his opponent's head down into the mat HARD with a vicious DDT.

Chaos Wizard: Revision gets an opponent into a sitting position on the mat, usually with a Snapmare, then runs to the ropes behind them, coming back and hooking one leg over their shoulder, using it to bring himself forward the rest of the way and bash his knee into the back of their head. A Reverse Shining Wizard.

Crippler: Revision sets his opponent up for a Northern Lights Suplex, but instead of flipping them over onto their back, Revision keeps them vertical, instead spiking them right onto their head.

Finishers:

Envision Flip: Revision downs his opponent, then runs to a set of perpendicular ropes, jumping up onto the middle rope and springboarding backward into a Moonsault Frogsplash onto his opponent.

Wave of the Future: In an indirect snub to his former "rival", Tsunami, Revision has taken one of Tsunami's finishers, known as the Wave of Destruction, and modified it to suit his own purposes. The Wave of Destruction was a Moonsault Knee Drop, but Revision's version is a bit more flashier, signifying his personality.

Revision downs his opponent, then climbs up onto the turnbuckles and gets into a Moonsault position, with his back facing the ring. However, instead of doing a backflip, Revision jumps backwards off the turnbuckle, flipping his body forward at the same time and landing a Knee Drop right on the opponent's chest/stomach/head after one full rotation. In essence, an Imploder Star Knee Drop.

Future Clutch: Revision pulls his opponent into a Dragon Sleeper and lifts them up to hit an Inverted Brainbuster, letting them fall back onto their stomach and rolling his body backwards to land in a crouched position over their back, wrenching up on their neck and locking in a Dragon Clutch.

Future Shock: Revision only uses this finisher on those around his own weight, considering it requires arm strength to perform. Revision usually sets up the finisher with a knee or boot to the gut then Gutwrenches his opponent up onto his shoulder before letting their upper body hang down so that the top of their head is facing the mat. Revision then simply falls down to a sitting position, driving their head and neck down into the canvas. An Inverted Emerald Fusion, basically.

Timeslip Infinitum: Revision downs an opponent, then climbs up onto a nearby corner, waiting for the opponent to get up and face him, then springs off with a Shooting Star Press, swinging around for a full rotation before grabbing his opponent on the way down and nailing a Flatliner. Revision then rolls over to kneel over the opponent's back, locking in a Sleeper Hold and rolling over again to lay on his back and apply a Body Scissors. Rarely used.

Gimmick: Revision is a cocky, arrogant sunmabitch who thinks he's God's gift to wrestling. Since he's return to the BTWF, he's attempted to show everyone that he is the greatest wrestler ever, taking out big stars to prove the point. He considers himself the future of wrestling, and that everyone needs to step back and let him "revise" the wrestling world.

Face/Heel: Heel

Titles Held: Gaia Championship

Alliances: Empty Promises (Austin Azure, Xunkai)
