*The Barton Arena is in an ominously quiet state as the fans wait in anticipation for the massive structure hanging above the ring to begin to descend upon the wrestling ring below. Finally an unnatural sound of metal is heard and the cell slowly begins to lower to the ground. The fans see this and shout with joy even though the two men going into this match are in the exact opposite spirits. The Barton Arena is alive with an awkward energy as some children and parents have left because of the upcoming brutality that will no doubt take place in a match of this chaotic and violent nature. But for those that have stayed in their seats, hopped up a few seats, snuck into the arena, paid whatever price they could just to be here, and are watching at home know that this match is going to be incredible and something they may never forget. Hell in a Cell wasn’t meant to be a great match, but the two participants in it were never meant to be fighters with so much hate pent up inside of them either.*
Victor Cross: "The following contest is a Hell in a Cell match, scheduled for one fall, and is for the BTWF World Heavyweight Championship. Pinfalls and submissions can end this match but to do this you must be within the ring inside of the cell."
“With that being said, introducing first, he is the ‘Man of 1000 holds’ and the ‘Crimson Dragon’, weighing in at 230 pounds and standing 6’ 1” tall, he is a former Gaia Champion and the challenger, OMEGA!”
*The crowd bursts into jeers as Trooper by Iron Maiden comes across the Barton Arena sound system. Omega doesn’t mind it at all though but instead seems to have all his attention placed on the huge cell that stands around the ring. The gateway to hell for him and Steve is the door being opened by the best man for this match, the BTWF’s senior referee Joe Schmoe. Omega makes his way calmly down the entrance ramp to where the door is and he looks up at how high up the cell reaches. The 6’ 1” tall man is amazed by the height of this gargantuan prison for him and his opponent. Finally he decides to make his way in but not before trying to snap back to himself and taunting a few fans who respond with a few obscene gestures thrown his way. As Omega gets into the ring using the ring steps the other man in this match gets ready for his name to be called, being the next induction into Hell on Earth.*
“And his opponent, from Muskegon, Michigan, weighing in at 229 pounds and standing 6’ 2” tall, The White Phoenix and the ‘Savior of the BTWF’, he is the BTWF World Heavyweight Champion, STEVE ‘SAVIOR’ TWIST!”
*Instead of Steve’s usual entrance Revolution by P.O.D. just begins to play and Steve steps out from the back wearing his normal attire. He doesn’t do anything of his usual routine, no showboating, no pyrotechnics, and no goofing around whatsoever. Steve just stands at the top of the entrance ramp and stares at the cell where this match will take place, much like Omega did before him. Steve takes his BTWF Championship off of his shoulder and holds it in front of his face. He then focuses first on the belt, then on the cell, then back on the belt before grinning confidently and throwing the belt back across his shoulder. He walks down the entrance ramp slowly although it annoys the overly anxious fans some. After reaching the bottom of the ramp Steve doesn’t go into the cell but instead walks around the outside, staring at Omega who is waiting inside in the ring for him. Steve starts at the right side of the structure and continues slowly pacing around it until he reaches the back where the timekeeper and other ringside officials are. Without a word Steve takes off his championship belt and coat before handing them to the timekeeper. Steve then begins to walk again, this time around the opposite side of the cell, before finally stopping in front of the doorway. Joe Schmoe tries to hurry Steve in but the champion is in no rush and takes a few steps back to look up at how tall the cell is like Omega had. With his patience wearing thin Omega starts to yell at Steve and pushes his way past a referee who is in the ring to restrain him. Steve sees this and backs away from the cell telling the security guards around ringside to restrain Omega while he gets in.*
*Omega sees that Steve is just doing this to stall and stops himself as he reaches his leg over the second rope. Omega then pushes the rope down and holds the top rope up telling Steve that he would help him enter the ring if he wasn’t capable himself. Steve doesn’t seem to like the sound of this and finally walks into the cell. He and Omega stare at each other, Omega from the ring and Steve from the ground. Finally the other referees in the cell leave and Joe Schmoe goes to the inside where he slides in the ring and gets up as the cell door is locked by the referees on the outside. As Joe gets to his feet inside the ring he tries to get Omega away from the ropes to let Steve in and after a little coaxing he does. Steve snickers at this and goes over to the ring steps before climbing up them and finally into the ring. Omega doesn’t charge Steve as he gets into the ring though to the surprise of Schmoe and the fans in the Barton Arena. Instead the former Gaia Champion keeps distance between himself and Steve, each in an opposite corner, and tells Joe to ring the bell.*
The bell rings...
With the match finally underway the fans in the Barton Arena cheer wildly as if they were there only to see these to men rip each other apart. Much to their surprise though Steve and Omega don’t rush at each other but instead step away from their respective corners and slowly begin to circle around the ring. Steve yells something to Omega about Steve being able to wrestle circles around him and Omega responds by saying that they’ll soon find out as the men come together in the middle of the ring in a collar and elbow tie-up. Although some of the crowd is disappointed at first this is quickly changed by Steve kneeing Omega in the stomach hard and then slamming him in the jaw with a hard right hand. Omega backs up slightly holding his jaw after this but doesn’t retaliate. Instead Omega just laughs and says Steve has gotten soft. Steve responds with a laugh of his own and says that he didn’t want to take Omega out in the first ten seconds. Both men begin to circle again while exchanging taunts and the crowd is still somewhat surprised by what they were seeing. Finally after a full circle around the ring Steve and Omega lock up again. This time Omega takes the advantage by breaking the hold and moving quickly to the back of Steve. Omega puts Steve in a waistlock but Steve is quick to grab the locked hands of Omega around his waist and breaks his grip. Steve then does a standing switch to exchange places with Omega before putting the ‘Crimson Dragon’ into a waistlock of his own. Steve has Omega held in place pretty well but Omega doesn’t seem worried as he checks the distance between him, Steve, and the ropes. After seeing Steve’s back is almost on the ropes Omega tries to wiggle free of Steve’s grip and loosening it some before forcing Steve back into the ropes. Before Steve knows it he is falling through the second and third ropes to the outside of the ring after having his grip broken by Omega. Steve hit’s the ground but not very hard, just enough to embarrass him. Steve gets up off the ground slowly but keeps a smile on his face as he slides back into the ring. Omega waits on the far ropes as Steve stands up before coming at Steve and initiating another lock up.
Both men battle in the lock up this time, trying to test each other’s strength more than getting the advantage. Steve is able to step forward and make Omega step back but it doesn’t take long for Omega to not only take back the ground he lost but to push Steve back some. Both men keep going at it until finally Omega has had enough and breaks the hold before expertly moving Steve into a side headlock. Steve tries to fight out but Omega falls down to one knee as he continues to work on Steve’s neck. After a little longer Steve is able to get good footing on the mat and he shoves Omega off into the ropes. Omega plans on this though and spins around as he makes it to the ropes so his back hits them. He then rushes back at Steve and hits him with a lariat but Steve only staggers backwards from it. Both men smile and Omega runs into the perpendicular set of ropes from the one he just came off of before bouncing off of them and hitting Steve with another hard lariat. Once again though Steve only steps back a bit not wanting to give Omega the satisfaction of knocking him down. Omega is frustrated by this now as he runs into the same set of ropes he had before. He jumps forward and nails Steve with a flying forearm but despite the impact Steve only staggers back into the ropes, holding his face a bit. Omega quickly gets up off the ground and charges Steve again but Steve sidesteps Omega, making the ‘Crimson Dragon’ hit the ropes and fall backwards. Omega rolls through and back to his feet after hitting the ropes but it doesn’t change the fact Steve has returned the embarrassment from earlier. Both men go back into opposite corners, each still calm and concerned with winning the match right now, before coming back out to the middle of the ring again. This time Steve suggests a knucklelock between the two as he holds his hands out with his palms facing Omega. This doesn’t seem to surprise Omega who has been watching every match of Steve’s lately and he agrees to it by placing his palms to Steve.
Immediately both men brace themselves and push the others arms back. As expected they are pretty equally matched but neither will give in as they continue to try and push each other back and take some kind of advantage. Neither will give an inch as they continue to struggle and finally they each start to look for an opening. Steve is able to find it by bringing his right leg and stepping behind Omega’s right leg with it before push Omega down to the ground so his shoulders touch the canvas, 1…2…Omega lifts a shoulder off the mat to stop the count. Omega seems trapped though as Steve tries to get both his opponents shoulders on the mat again, prevailing after only a little bit of fighting, 1…2…Omega lifts a single shoulder off the ground again before lifting his other shoulder off the mat and fighting up to a standing position. Once up Omega and Steve continue to fight before Omega uses Steve’s right leg being behind Omega’s right to his advantage. Omega pushes Steve until his shoulders are now held on the ground, 1…2…Steve lifts a shoulder up to break the count like Omega did. Steve then does something unexpected as he falls backwards off his feet before rolling backwards and through to his feet with the knucklelock still held. Steve now has Omega held so the backs of Omega’s forearms are towards Steve and placed together so Omega can’t move his arms. With Omega at his mercy Steve nails Omega with a vicious headbutt, and another. Steve connects with one more before monkey flipping Omega, releasing the knucklelock while Omega is in the air and making him land back first on the canvas. It doesn’t take both men to get back to their feet though and Omega seems surprised that he was bested by Steve on that exchange despite watching Steve’s every move since their last match months ago. Steve on the other hand just seems to be growing in confidence as both competitors move back into opposite corners and try to formulate some kind of strategy. The crowd on the other hand seems a bit disappointed in the match so far as they expected a total bloodbath and not some kind of wrestling match but most knew that the mind games between Steve and Omega wouldn’t last much longer.
The action does indeed pick up as both men come out of their corners after a tiny break and begin to circle the ring again. This time Steve unexpectedly charges at Omega, trying to take him out by the legs, but Omega jumps back out of Steve’s reach. Steve lands on his knees but bounces back up to his feet as they continue to circle the ring. This time Omega makes a move by coming at Steve, lunging at only one of Steve’s right leg. Steve sees the opportunity to make this strategy backfire by stepping back with his right leg and kicking Omega with his left leg. Unknown to Steve though Omega plans on this and when Steve’s goes to kick Omega with his left leg Omega grabs it and holds it next to his side before standing to his feet and pulling Steve’s leg out from under him. Steve falls to his bottom on the ground before Omega grabs Steve’s right leg. Omega then drags Steve to the middle of the ring and turns him on his stomach before locking Steve in the Omega Prison! The crowd seems shocked that Omega was able to lock in the move that have made so many people tap before so quickly on Steve and others just jeer at the reappearance of this move. Omega yells at them to ‘shut their damn mouths’ but doesn’t have time to taunt for long as Steve pulls himself to the ropes quickly. The problem that Steve finds is that in this match there are no rope breaks and Steve is forced to push himself harder. Steve manages to pull himself halfway out of the ring before Omega finally decides to let go of the hold in case Steve had any plans. This, in turn, causes Steve to tumble to the outside. He crawls over to the ring steps on the outside and sits with his back against them to rest and also to anger Omega as he brings his hands and arms up behind his head and acts like he is relaxing on the beach or looking up at the stars at night. Much to Steve’s delight this strikes a cord with Omega and the ‘Crimson Dragon’ goes between the top and second ropes before jumping off the ring apron onto the outside.
Omega doesn’t even see what comes next though as Steve charges into him, nailing Omega in the side, and ramming Omega into the cell. The crowd cheers this more than usual as Omega collides with the cell because they know that the real fight has now started. Both Omega and Steve fall to the ground after this but Steve is back up to his feet quickly as Omega tries to shake the cobwebs and figure out exactly what happened to him. As he sits up Omega is given a wake up call as Steve knees him in the side of the head and knocks his head into the steel mesh of the cell hard. Omega falls to his back again holding the side of his head as Steve backs away from Omega and yells for him to get up. Slowly the ‘Crimson Dragon’ sits back up with a clueless look on his face, much to Steve’s delight. Steve doesn’t stop there though and as Omega goes to his hands and knees to try and push himself up Steve backs up and charges at Omega. Steve’s right knee connects with the side of Omega’s head again and Omega’s head nails the steel again making the side of the cell sway slightly. Omega falls to the ground holding his head again and looks to be in extreme pain, possibly having a concussion. Steve on the other hand seems to be interested in something else as his opponent tries to recover. Steve walks over to where Omega is laying up against the side of the cell facing the entrance ramp before stepping over Omega and going to the cell door. Steve then begins to check it out, seeing how strong the lock is on it before Joe Schmoe leans over the top rope of the ring and yells at Steve to knock it off. Steve doesn’t really like the ref’s tone but does as he says before going over to Omega who is once again slowly getting to his feet and picking him up off the ground. Steve says something to Omega about missing his match at Ragnarok as he brings Omega back up to his feet. Steve looks like he will throw Omega back into the ring but stops instead, getting another idea. Steve takes Omega and faces him so his back is towards the ring before grabbing Omega’s wrist. Steve then drives Omega into the cell with an Exploder ’98! Omega smashes against the cage and flops to the ground as the crowd roars for the unique offense and move done by Steve. After Steve takes a quick breather on the floor he sits up and gets to his feet before pulling the remnants of Omega up off the ground and throwing him back into the ring.
Back in the ring Steve keeps control as Omega still doesn’t seem to have a clue where he is. Steve refreshes his memory by dragging Omega back up off the ground by his head and then grabbing Omega by the arm and whipping him into the far corner. Omega collides with the corner hard back first but gets no reprieve as Steve charges in at him and jumps up, hitting Omega with a knee to the head that snaps Omega’s head back. Omega falls to the mat in a heap as Steve backs out of the corner. Steve sees that Omega still has a dazed look on his face and turns him over to his back before pinning him, 1…2…Omega shoots a shoulder up off the mat. Steve looks disappointed but figures it was just a reflex as he grabs Omega’s arm and pins his shoulder back down to the mat, 1…2…Omega gets his other shoulder up, showing that he has regained his senses. Steve doesn’t seem to become frustrated at this but instead keeps a smile as he sits up on his knees before getting to his feet. Omega tries to get to his feet as Steve does but only makes it to his hands and knees before Steve grabs him by the head and pulls him to his feet. With Omega back to his feet Steve grabs Omega’s wrist before whipping him at the far ropes. Omega shoots off at them but much to Steve’s surprise Omega is able to grab the ropes after hitting them by putting his arms on the outside and holding the ropes. Steve’s anger gets the best of his judgment as he sees this and he quickly charges at Omega. The ‘Crimson Dragon’ spots this though and, with Steve in full charge, he grabs onto the top rope and falls down with it held. Steve is too late to stop and flies over the top rope, colliding with the cell on the outside and thudding to the ground. As Omega pulls himself back up with the ropes he is jeered immensely and seems very proud of what he had done to Steve. With Steve out on the ground Omega takes a small breather before stepping between the top and second ropes and out onto the ring apron. He sees Steve lying up against the side of the cell farthest from the entrance ramp and gets an idea.
Omega goes over to the corner nearest where Steve landed, Steve’s feet facing towards the corner, and begins to climb up the outside of the corner while still facing Steve. Once he has ascended to the top Omega pats his elbow and gets a large amount of jeers before jumping off for an elbow drop on the seemingly lifeless body of Steve. Omega hits it perfect and drives the wind out of an already hurting Steve. Omega hurts himself some as well and holds his right elbow on his right side in pain. After using a small time to recover Omega slowly gets back up to his feet and uses his foot to roll Steve away from the cell while still holding his right arm. As Steve rolls off it and to his stomach visible imprints from the steel mesh can be seen on his back. Omega seems dissatisfied though and grabs Steve by the head before pulling him up to his feet. Steve still looks shaken up once up and Omega starts to look around at what to do with him. Just as Omega is able to come to a conclusion Steve decks him with a right hand that jars Omega’s jaw and his already battered head. Omega staggers backwards into the left cell wall as Steve grabs the back cell wall to keep on his feet. Both steady themselves quickly and come at each other, this time neither charges but instead they walk at each other. Calmly and coolly the two men come together before Omega unleashes a brutal chop to the chest of Steve and then busts Steve in the face with a nasty right forearm. Steve falls to a knee holding his face and chest after this attack but for a different reason than being hurt. Suddenly Steve jumps to his feet and hits Omega with a bone crushing right uppercut as he comes up making Omega fall backwards onto the ground holding his jaw. Steve tries to recover a bit as Omega gets back up to his feet. Before Steve can do anything Omega bashes Steve in the head with another right forearm. This time though Omega follows it up by grabbing Steve by the shoulder and the head as Steve tries to grab at his injuries. Omega then forces Steve into the back cell wall hard face first.
As Steve’s face bounces off the cell once Omega grins and bashes Steve’s face into the cell again. Omega follows it up by smashing Steve’s face into the cell once more before holding it on there this time. Omega keeps Steve held up against the steel mesh so it starts to make an imprint on his face before Omega takes Steve’s head and starts to drag it back and forth across the cell. Steve screams in pain as Omega grinds his face into the cell. Before long traces of blood begin to appear as it trickles down the lacerated face of Steve. Omega continues to try and shred Steve’s face up on the cell though and the fans begin to jeer loudly as one of their favorite wrestlers is brutalized. Many people turn away at times as Omega starts punching Steve in the back of the head and trying to get Steve’s head to grind into the cell more. Finally though Omega lets Steve off the cell and the blood begins pouring down Steve’s mangled face. Steve buries his head in his arms on the floor as Omega laughs at what he has done to the BTWF Champion. Omega isn’t done though and this becomes clear as he picks Steve up off the ground. Steve is in too much pain to fight back and once Omega has Steve stood up he grabs him by the wrist. Omega then whips Steve as hard as humanly possible into the near left side of the cell which Steve slams into face first. Steve bounces back off the cell and falls down in a bloody mess, much to the delight of the ‘Crimson Dragon’. Omega is still dissatisfied with what he has done to Steve and goes over to the ring apron before lifting the ring skirt and looking under the ring for something. The crowd is mixed with cheers and jeers as Omega removes a table from under the ring and takes it over the corner of the right and back cell walls. As Omega begins to set up the table so it is facing towards the ring steps Steve slowly drags himself back to his feet using the ring apron. Finally Omega has the table set up and goes over to where Steve has gotten back up to his feet. Steve swings at Omega and tries to catch him with a right hand but the less injured Omega easily ducks the clumsy right and hits Steve with two quick punches to the abdomen.
Steve falls to his knees but Omega picks him back up by the head and puts him in somewhat of a side headlock to bring him over to where the table is set up. Once they arrive Omega sets Steve up so he is standing up, leaning back first against the table. Steve tries to get off of the table as soon as he is put on it but Omega hits Steve with a hard headbutt that knocks both men for a loop. Luckily for Omega Steve’s losing blood makes it harder for him to shake it off and Omega is able to implement his plan by ascending the ring apron. Omega then begins to climb the corner but not facing Steve. Instead he climbs up to the top and stands on the top turnbuckle before facing Steve below. Without another thought Omega jumps off at Steve, trying to land on his shoulders. Omega is able to land it but when he does Steve’s arms come up and tighten around Omega’s thighs before Steve slams Omega down into the steel steps. The back of Omega’s head smashes against the steps but Steve doesn’t let go of Omega as he brings him back up into a powerbomb position. Steve then uses his fading strength to turn around to face the table before driving Omega and himself through the table with a powerbomb! The crowd comes alive as the two competitors lie in an absolute mess on the floor with pieces of table lying all over their broken bodies. Neither man can seem to muster the strength to move at first, Omega’s head being smashed into something again and Steve losing more and more blood as the deep cuts on his face haven’t closed, but finally some movement is seen from the pile. To the delight of the crowd Steve is the first one to slowly crawl out of the bloody mess in the corner. Steve doesn’t get up right away though but instead holds his head as he sits up on his knees to look around. He sees Omega still in the shattered pieces of table and makes note of this before crawling over to the ring apron and pulling himself back up to his feet. Omega on the other hand rolls over to his front and holds his head which is throbbing in pain from being so abused.
Once Steve is up to his feet he doesn’t seem to know what to do next. Slowly though his face turns from a confused look to a maniacal look, a look that is rarely seen with him and can mean nothing but horrible pain for Omega. Steve flips the ring skirt up and begins to look under the ring for something to further injure Omega. While Steve continues to look Omega finally is able to move again and starts to try and get up to his feet. He fails to even get to his hands and knees the first time before his head begins to bother him again. Omega continues to try but suddenly wants to get up more than ever as Steve takes out a canister of gasoline and a lighter from under the ring. The ‘Crimson Dragon’ watches in horror as the out of control BTWF Champion walks over to him with the canister and lighter in tow. Seeing this forces Omega to forget about the pain in his head but as he gets up Steve makes it over to where Omega is. Omega turns around and tries to hit Steve to keep Steve away but Steve blocks the punch with the canister before hitting Omega in the head with it. Joe Schmoe decides not to sit back and watch this progress as he begins to yell at Steve not to do it but no one can reason with Steve now. Gasoline begins to pour out onto the pieces of the table and onto Omega who is knocked out in the middle of the remains. Some fans begin to scream and others expect someone to come from the back to stop this but none do as Steve figures he has poured enough gasoline onto the mess and throws the canister away. Steve then takes the lighter and looks at for a few seconds, letting this all sink in and possibly coming to his senses. Just as Steve’s reflection time ends Omega sees what is going to happen and, going by pure instinct, he grabs a piece of the broken table and stabs it into Steve’s abdomen. Steve drops to his knees and holds his stomach as well as dropping the lighter as this is done and some of the crowd seems disappointed while the other seems relieved. Omega doesn’t seem to even know what happened as he drops the piece of table and tries to crawl away from what could have been his deathbed had Steve not dropped the lighter. Steve doesn’t stop though and he starts rummaging through the gas soaked remains of the table as Omega slowly gets away from the scene.
Steve yells out that he told Omega he was going to die going into this match and that he wasn’t kidding as he finds the lighter out of the ruins. Steve gets back to his feet as Omega uses the ring apron to pull himself to his. Steve then steps over the pieces of table and goes to where Omega is standing. Once again Omega turns around and tries to land a desperation punch on Steve but Steve is able to dodge it and levels Omega with a forearm to the face. Steve lets Omega fall to the ground before saying something to Omega about having any last words. Steve then takes the lighter up in the air and lights it before throwing it into the pile of gasoline and broken table. Steve and Omega are both about five feet away from the mess of table as it goes up in flames, much to Steve’s delight. Omega pushes himself back up to his knees as Steve watches the flames mesmerized. As Steve turns back to Omega he gets a less than welcome surprise as Omega springs up to his feet and dropkicks Steve back wards, almost knocking Steve back into the flames. Steve grabs onto the cage with his left hand to keep him from falling backwards as Omega gets back up to his feet. Before Omega can strike again though Steve lunges forward and takes Omega down before letting go with punches to Omega’s head. While this goes on officials from the back unlock the doors to the cell and come in with fire extinguishers to put out the flames. They go around the right side so as to not get in the bitter enemies’ way before trying to get the fire Steve started under control. Steve and Omega begin trying to tear each other apart now as they roll around on the floor, one taking the advantage for a few punches by being on top and then the other taking it. Blood starts pouring from Omega’s head now as they continue to fight. As the fire continues giving the officials trouble Steve and Omega end up fighting so they are by the open cell door. As Omega is able to get the advantage in the tussle again he uses it to get up off Steve and escape through the door.
With blood smeared across his hands and pouring down his face Omega exits the cell and tries to catch his breath by leaning against the cell left of where the door is as well as evaluate just how hurt he is. The adrenaline and anger fueled Steve doesn’t wait for Omega to do all these things though as he gets up off the floor and exits the cell too. Omega doesn’t seem to know where to go at first but he then looks up and begins to climb to get away from Steve. This earns the ‘Crimson Dragon’ many jeers but neither he nor Steve notices it as they are more determined with destroying each other and surviving. Steve begins to follow Omega up to the top of the cell after he starts to climb. Up both of them go, each somewhat slowly as they are both hurt badly. Omega manages to make it up on the cell with little problem but about three quarters of the way up Steve starts to feel the blood loss kick in more and more. Luckily Steve is able to climb the rest of the way through sheer will before Omega is able to get to his feet and trying to do something like knocking Steve off the cell. Once on top of the cell Omega is first to his feet and starts to back towards the middle of the cell as Steve gets up on the soles of his wrestling boots. Steve sees Omega backing up and immediately starts to walk slowly at Omega. Surprisingly both competitors seem a bit nervous of the height as they come to the middle and Omega swings at Steve with a right hand. Steve avoids the right hand though by leaning back and then coming back at Omega with a straight right hand that connects with Omega’s chin. The ‘Crimson Dragon’ is knocked back slightly but as he gains his balance again both men seem to be growing more in anger and confidence on top of the cell. Suddenly and swiftly Omega lunges at Steve and knocks Steve down. Omega lands on top of Steve after the lunge and nails Steve in the head with a few hard shots before standing back up. Omega then kicks Steve hard right in the side of his head making Steve roll over in pain grasping his head.
With the match back in his control Omega grabs Steve by the head and neck and hoists him up to his feet. With Steve back up Omega grabs Steve’s right leg with both of his hands before lifting Steve up off the top of the cell. Omega then slams Steve down on top of the left side middle panel of the cell, making Steve’s right knee take the brunt of the blow and making Steve scream in pain. Omega grins at Steve’s pain, blood still trickling down his face, before grabbing Steve back up off the ground by the head and neck. Steve grabs at his leg some as he is lifted back to his feet and Omega sees his opening. He slams the bottom of his foot into Steve’s right kneecap and makes Steve fall back down to his knees as Steve grasps at his hurt right knee. Omega goes to kick it again as Steve is down but Steve surprises Omega by grabbing Omega’s right leg. Steve then stands back up with Omega’s right leg still held and tries to quickly think of a move to utilize. Steve isn’t able to do this though as Omega jumps up using his other leg and tries to catch Steve in the side of the head with an enzuguri. Steve catches this just and time and ducks it, keeping Omega’s leg held. Steve then gets an idea as he uses Omega’s leg to pull him back before hooking Omega into a strange hold. Steve uses his right arm to put Omega into a half nelson and his left to hook Omega’s arm behind his back before jumping back and nailing Omega with a Half-Dragon and Half-Tiger Suplex on the cell!! Omega’s head and neck is driven into the top of the cell but the panel barely budges, cueing the fans to start a ‘holy shit’ chant. Any members of the crowd who weren’t on their feet before are now and most are screaming at the top of their lungs and cheering for their pick in this match. It doesn’t matter who it is for though as the crowd just emits an amazing amount of emotion. Neither Steve nor Omega has moved a bit despite this and many are skeptical if either man will be able to get up but shockingly both start to move, Steve first then Omega slightly. Steve is the first to start to get to his feet and the crowd seems to get more into the action as the favorite in this match is on top right now.
With blood running down his face and sweat dripping from his body the BTWF champion manages to get back up to his feet. He holds his knee slightly as he tries to walk over to where the challenger is trying to get up. Omega has only been able to make it up to his hands and knees though and it takes Steve grabbing by the head and pulling him up to his feet to get him the rest of the way. Steve then shouts at Omega, asking what he has to do to finally get rid of him, but it is inaudible with the amazingly loud crowd at the Barton Arena. Steve then kicks Omega in the gut and sets him into a standing head scissors on top of the cell. Before Steve can do anything though Omega falls to a knee and hits Steve with a nasty looking low blow that makes the champion stagger backwards slightly before falling to the ground in pain. Omega continues to breathe hard on the ground after taking Steve down with the low blow but finally has recovered enough to start to make it up to his feet. Holding his head Omega gets back to his feet and begins to yell at Steve about something before walking over to Steve and grabbing him by the head before jerking him back up to his feet. Omega smashes Steve once again in the face with a forearm once Steve is up before kicking Steve in the injured right leg again. Steve seems too tired to express his pain through any more than facial expressions as he begins to fall to his knees again after the kick. Omega grabs Steve by the shoulders to stop him from falling though. With his grip held tight Omega starts to kick away at Steve’s injured leg, making Steve wince in pain. Omega knows this isn’t enough to truly injure the leg though and stops after about five shots. Omega then lets Steve fall forward a bit before locking him in a front facelock. Using a good bit of his remaining strength Omega lifts Steve into the air but once again ‘The White Phoenix’ is able to counter by loosening Omega’s grip and landing behind the challenger. Omega spins around swiftly as Steve lands but not quickly enough to stop Steve from kicking Omega down low and putting him into a standing head scissors once again. Steve then throws his arms out in a crucifix position, raising the attention of the crowd, before ignoring all the pain in his right leg and hitting Omega with the SALVATION ON TOP OF THE CELL!!!
The crowd can’t believe it as Omega’s head and neck are once again driven into the cell, this time almost looking like they were going to snap in two. The cell once again barely even moves though and the impact on Omega’s still bleeding head is sick as Steve lands the dangerous move. The crowd seems somewhat speechless although some people are chanting ‘holy shit’ again. Both Steve and Omega don’t even show a trace of movement for a moment but then Steve begins to move, resting some while also holding his knee. Omega on the other hand just keeps dead still and the crowd believes that move may have just actually killed him with how Steve landed it. As Steve gets back to his feet he looks down at Omega and then sees the unthinkable. Omega begins to roll over to his stomach and grabs his head with his hands, shocking both Steve and the crowd who thought he may never move again. Steve looks furious that Omega is still able to move and goes over to Omega. Steve begins to stomp on the challenger’s neck hard before grabbing him by the head and pulling him to his feet. Steve just stands there for a moment with Omega held up by his left arm. He stares at his battered and bruised foe, knowing that this has been months in the making. Finally Steve draws his right hand back and goes to slam Omega in the head once more but the unexpected happens. The cell panel below Steve and Omega gives free and both plummet to the ring below! Both men hit the ring hard and a loud crack is heard as Steve lands directly on his injured right leg, making something come out of place or break and making Steve cry out in pain. Omega on the other hand falls on his back hard, possibly hitting the back of his head once more. Steve tries to keep his leg still as he lies on the ground in pain but notices Omega looking like he is out cold and slowly tries to crawl over to where the ‘Crimson Dragon’ lies on the mat. Steve’s leg begins to hurt almost immediately as he crawls over to Omega but he fights through it and throws his arm over the challenger for the cover, 1…2…2.999 count!
Omega just flings his shoulder up off the mat as the ref’s hand comes down to count the three and the champion can’t believe it. Steve sits up on his bottom and sees that Omega still seems to be down enough to hit one more move on him to put him away. This gives Steve an idea as he crawls over to the ropes to use them to pull himself up. Slowly but surely the champion is able to get to his feet before limping over to the near corner. Steve knows it will be difficult to turn around once up on the top and goes between the second and top rope to go out to the ring apron before using his arms and the rest of his strength to get him up to the top rope. Once there Steve looks down at Omega and tries to judge how he will need to hit this. Finally Steve works up the confidence he needs to hit this next move and stands straight up on the top of the corner, ignoring the pain in his leg for the few seconds he needs. Steve then goes to hit the TRANQ-NO!! Omega uses his legs to reach up and kick the top rope, making Steve fall down in the corner and crotching him on the top. Although Omega was playing possum he still is hurt badly from the maneuvers on the top of the cell and the fall so it takes him a little longer than usual to get up. Omega is still quick enough though that Steve hasn’t been able to get off of the corner and as the ‘Crimson Dragon’ walks to the corner his eyes light up. Omega climbs to the top and grabs Steve so he is standing up before turning ‘The White Phoenix’ so his back is towards the ring on the top. Without another thought Omega picks Steve up and hits him with an old favorite, the CRIMSON SKIES! Both Steve and Omega hit the ground hard and the crowd becomes hushed as the count starts, 1…2…2.999! Steve kicks out and the crowd is electric as many thought there was going to be a title change right there. Barely anyone can believe it and Omega takes it especially hard as he sits up and starts screaming at the top of his lungs as well as pounding his fists into the ground.
Omega almost looks like he is about to cry from not being able to fulfill his greatest desire by beating Steve and taking the BTWF Championship. He puts this aside though as he stands back up to his feet and yells ‘this ends now’ to Steve. Without another word Omega grabs Steve by the legs and locks him into the OMEGA PRISON! Steve yells in pain as Omega puts in one of the most feared submission maneuvers in the BTWF and starts to tear at the hurt right leg of Steve. The champion refuses to quit though as Joe is all over him to. After suffering through this hell Steve screams there is no way he is going to quit and tries with all he has to fight the pain Omega is inflicting on him. Omega just laughs maniacally as he toys with Steve, loosening his grip at times to watch as Steve tries to fight to the ropes even though it won’t help him. Steve refuses to give in though and continues to claw and fight tooth and nail to try and get to the ropes or break out of the hold. Omega though knows that if he can keep this held he has Steve beat and as the seconds turn into minutes it seems that Steve’s career could be in jeopardy as he continues to fight it. Finally Steve looks like he is about to pass out from the pain but as Joe comes towards Steve to try and see if he is out Steve shows life once again. Like an animal backed into a corner Steve keeps fighting the hold, doing everything in his power to try and get out of it. With blood still running down his face and his leg possibly being broken the BTWF champion will not give up and Omega begins to become extremely annoyed as the fans try and cheer their injured hero to break out of the hold. Once again though Steve falls off his hands and to his face where he lays in immense pain as the ‘Crimson Dragon’ tries to end his career with the move he has made so many wrestlers before Steve give up to. Joe Schmoe once again goes down to a knee by Steve but sees that somehow the champ is fighting the pain still. Finally Joe thinks he might have to call this but re-evaluating the situation he decides against it. Suddenly Steve lifts his hand into the air and looks like he will tap out but upon hearing the fans screaming for him not to Steve tries to tough it out once again. The amazing display of sheer will seems to go on forever to Steve as he begins to become dizzy with pain and the world becomes darker. Tap, tap, tap...
"And here is your winner, and NEW BTWF World Heavyweight Champion, the "Crimson Dragon"...OMEGA!!!"
*As the bell rings and the outcome is announced Steve passes out and the crowd begins to jeer like the Barton Arena or any other arena the BTWF has been in has ever heard before. The cell door flies open as an official unlocks it after it being relocked earlier and the belt is handed to Joe Schmoe who presents the belt to Omega, making the ‘Crimson Dragon’ let Steve out of the Omega Prison finally. After an absolutely amazing and brutal display of wills Omega raises the belt into the air before dropping to his knees and holding it up to his chest, knowing that he has finally achieved his goal of being the BTWF World Heavyweight Champion. As the jeers continue to poor from the crowd with a few mixed in cheers the ‘Man of a Thousand Holds’ rejoices that he has finally done what no one would have ever thought he could do. He beat Steve Twist for the BTWF Championship and became the #1 man in the company in a single, violent and sickening match. A battered and beaten Omega continues to celebrate over the broken bloody body of his greatest rival as we fade to nothingness.*
