The fans begin to cheer as crew begins to clear up the ring for the next match. Victor Cross is shown standing at ringside, while talking to the timekeeper as he waits patiently to make his way into the ring.
Headhunter- “What a Gaia title match Vic!”
The Voice- “You’re telling me. But enough of the past, because up next, it’s time to decide the World Heavyweight Championship.”
Headhunter- “Maxwell Conners vs. Omega. Conners shouldn’t have interfered during Omega’s Madness match Vic. He’s gonna pay here tonight for it.”
The Voice- “Well, the same could be said of Omega. Either way, expect a good one here folks.”
The clean up crew has now finished fixing up the ring and has already made their way to the back. Victor Cross shakes the hands of a few fans near his position near the ring bell before walking towards the ring steps, as he slowly begins to climb up them. Once atop the apron, he slowly climbs through the ropes and looks out to the faces of all the fans. He clears his throat into his handy microphones, which gets a little cheer from the crowd. “The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Barton Town Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Championship!”
This announcement gets a little pop from the crowd, before the arena goes black, and all that can be seen is a red light shining down from the DDD. A soft guitar begins to strum, and the fans show a mixed reaction, not sure of whether to cheer or to boo, for they know who is coming out.
Crowds that scream at superstars, where bouncers show their battle scars
I’ve been the first to sign on every wall.
Then, almost suddenly, Maxwell Conners emerges from the back to a mixed reaction from the crowd. But Maxwell doesn’t seem to care. He smiles at the reaction he receives, before making his way to the right side of the ramp, pointing out at all the fans, regardless of cheers or jeers. Then Maxwell smirks before running over to the other side of the entrance ramp, where he puts on a face of determination as he motions around his waist that he will once again be champ.
Down the road and round the bend, we’ll pray to god it never ends.
I’ve been, I’ve seen, we’ve screamed to everyone
Maxwell then runs back to the center of the ramp, and a look to his left and his right, before falling to his knees, and raising his arms, much like Shawn Michaels does, as the pyro shoots down towards the ring, which receives a little pop from the crowd. “And introducing first, the challenger, from Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 225 pounds, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Maxwell Conners!” The announcement gets a mixed reaction from the crowd, but Maxwell ignores it.
We’ll see you at the show, if you don’t come, we’ll never know
You stand off in the back, you still stand out while you’re wearing black.
Maxwell then clambers back up to his feet, as he takes another look out into the crowd before making his way down to the ring. Maxwell walks to both sides of the ramp, receiving any high-fives or pats on the back that he can receive. Once Maxwell has reached ringside, he quickens his pace as he slides into the ring. He climbs the nearest turnbuckle and points out to the fans before motioning around his waist yet again.
Jump onto the bus, and ride around with all of us.
We’ll go out on the town, and light it up till we burn it down…
Maxwell climbs down from the turnbuckle as the lights come back on into the arena, as “See You at the Show” begins to fade away. The crowd begins to buzz, and a few cheers rise up as the arena darkens yet again. It stays dark for a few moments, before pyro shoots out beside the ring, and another red light shines down over the arena as Omega appears on the stage, to a good amount of cheers from the crowd. But Omega ignores this as he begins to make his way down to ringside as he taunts the crowd, smirking and yelling out to them.
You’ll take my life but I’ll take yours too,
you’ll fire your musket but I’ll run you through
So when you’re waiting for the next attack
you’d better stand there’s no turning back
“And introducing his opponent, from Canada, weighing in at 228 pounds, he is the Barton Town Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion, Omega!” The announcement gets a little cheer from the crowd, but Omega remains oblivious. He continues to make his way at ringside, and before entering the ring, he stops and stares into it at Maxwell and smirks, but Maxwell remains perched in his corner, taunting Omega to come into the ring. Omega looks to his left and shakes his head, but begins smirking as he notices a sign in the front row that reads, “Make him tap Omega!” Omega looks back to Maxwell and points to the sign, smirking all the while, but Maxwell remains undaunted.
The bugle sounds as the charge begins,
but on this battlefield no one wins
The smell of acrid smoke and horses breath,
as you plunge into a certain death
Omega slowly begins to climb up the turnbuckle stairs as the lights come back on in the arena and “The Trooper” dies out. Omega takes off his shirt and throws it out into the crowd before he climbs through the ropes and holds his belt almost right to the face of Maxwell. Maxwell stares at the belt intently, while Omega smirks and shakes his head, seemingly telling Maxwell that the belt will never be his. Maxwell smirks to Omega and backs off a bit, and leans against the ropes leisurely. Omega looks a tad frustrated that he couldn’t get to Maxwell as he hands his belt over to the ref. The ref shows Maxwell the belt, who smirks and nods, before lifting it up over his head, which receives a little pop from the crowd. He walks over to Victor Cross, who happens to now be standing at ringside, and hands it over to him. He then signals for the bell.
The Voice- “And we’re underway in this match Jim.”
Headhunter- “With these two, all bets are off on what can happen. Speaking of bets, my money says Omega will make Conners tap.”
The Voice- “We shall see Jim.”
Both men stare intently at each other. Maxwell’s smirk is long gone, as he takes a step forwards and raises his right hand, seemingly ask Omega for a test of strength. Omega looks skeptical at this, as he shakes his head and looks out at all the fans, who still are undecided in this match, shown by the buzz from them emanating over the arena. Omega shakes his head and lifts his right arm and his and Maxwell’s hands interlock. After a second, Maxwell raises his left hand as well, which also joins with Omega. But before any ‘test’ could occur, Omega kicks Maxwell in the midsection, which causes Maxwell to fall to his knees. Omega backs off a bit and smirks, his action having received a little cheer, with some boos, from the crowd. Once Maxwell raises his head and looks at Omega, Omega points to his own head, signaling that he is smarter than Maxwell. This causes Maxwell to rise up to his feet faster than his pace suggested. Maxwell shakes his head as he once again moves to Omega, but this time, the two men lock up. Because Omega has a little size advantage, he is able to position himself in a headlock position on Maxwell. Maxwell raises one of his arms and tries to push Omega off, but he is unable to do it. But, Maxwell is able to push Omega against the ropes, and Omega bounces against the opposite ropes, but on the rebound, he is able to knock a temporarily winded Maxwell down with a shoulder block.
Omega smirks at this and looks out into the crowd, seeming to be thinking that Maxwell was a pushover. Omega then runs against the ropes, and Maxwell turns over so he is lying on his stomach as Omega runs over him. Omega runs against the opposite ropes, and Maxwell quickly makes his way to his feet and jumps over Omega. Omega ducks under Maxwell’s jump, but continues running, and on the rebound, he runs into a dropkick from Maxwell. Omega falls to the mat, but quickly makes his way back up to one knee, who looks up, only to find Maxwell pointing to his own head right back at Omega. This taunt gets a mixed reaction from the crowd as both men are back up to their feet and are staring intently at each other. Omega rushes over to Maxwell and shoves him. The shove has some power on it as Maxwell flies back against the ropes, but on the rebound, Maxwell lands a punch square in the head of Omega. Omega attempts a punch to Maxwell, but Maxwell counters it and hits a punch of his own. Omega attempts one more punch, but Maxwell is able to counter it again. Seeing Omega winded, Maxwell punches him a few more times until Omega is leaning against the ropes. Maxwell Irish whips Omega, and lowers his head for the rebound, but Omega is able to stop and kicks Maxwell square in the face. Maxwell staggers back and holds his jaw as Omega begins to run towards him. But Maxwell has this scouted as he lowers his head and is able to back body drop Omega over the top rope. Maxwell looks out into the crowd, who give him a few cheers to go along with all the jeers. Maxwell looks back to the outside and notices that Omega is beginning to get back to his feet. Maxwell smirks before he runs against the ropes opposite side of Omega before running and executing a plancha over the top rope down on Omega. The move gets a little pop from the crowd and both men lie motionless for a bit as the ref begins his count.
Headhunter- “No one can do that to the Crimson Dragon Vic!”
The Voice- “Well, Conners just did Jim.”
Maxwell brushes off hair from his face as he begins to make his way slowly to his feet. Maxwell is holding Omega by his head, but it turns out Omega is only playing possum as he gains momentum shoulder thrusts Maxwell into the nearest ring barricade. But Omega doesn’t stop at there. He thrusts his shoulder in Maxwell a few more times, before stopping and just beginning to pound away at Maxwell with some stiff right hands. Omega notices that the ring count from the ref was getting high, so he slides back into the ring before rolling back out to Maxwell, who was left slumping against the ring barricade. Omega grabs Maxwell by his hair and raises him to his feet and he walks towards the ring side steps and throws Maxwell into them. Maxwell’s knees crash against the steps and he immediately falls to the ground, holding his right leg and moaning in pain. Omega doesn’t waste any time as he drags Maxwell yet again to his feet and slides him into the ring. Omega turns Maxwell over and attempts a cover, but Maxwell kicks out after a two. Omega gets back to his feet and begins to pound away at Maxwell’s leg, while Maxwell continues to scream in pain. Omega looks around for a bit, wondering what he is going to do next. He looks over towards the ring post nearest to him and smirks. He looks down at Maxwell, who is still holding his leg. Omega kicks it once more before reaching down and grabbing Maxwell’s leg, before beginning to drag Maxwell to that turnbuckle he was looking at before. Omega lets go of Maxwell’s leg once he has reached the turnbuckle and slides to the outside. Maxwell begins to try to crawl away, but before he can do so, Omega grabs Maxwell’s right leg yet again and he takes it and slams it against the ring post. Before Maxwell can get away, Omega slams it one more time for good measure. Maxwell then rolls back into the center of the ring as Omega wipes his hands against each other, seemingly saying that this is too easy. After a quick smirk, Omega slides back into the ring and goes for another cover on Maxwell, but Maxwell kicks out yet again at the two count.
The Voice- “Conners had trouble with that leg last year Jim.”
Headhunter- “And that’s gonna be his downfall on this night Vic.”
Omega drags Maxwell to his feet by his hair yet again, but Maxwell gets a few elbows into Omega’s chest, but not enough, as Omega pounds away at Maxwell’s back. Maxwell falls to the mat again, and Omega continues to taunt away at Maxwell. After a few seconds, Omega walks over to Maxwell’s right leg, and grabs it by the foot. He then lifts Maxwell’s leg as high as he can before sending it back crashing into the mat. Maxwell rolls around in pain, holding his knee as hard and moaning very loudly. Omega goes for another cover, but again, Maxwell kicks out at the two. Omega looks a bit frustrated at this as he gives the ref a bad look. But being the veteran that he is, Omega doesn’t complain as he grabs Maxwell by the hair and drags him to his feet. Omega then punches Maxwell in the face, but Maxwell gets a punch back to Omega. Omega staggers backwards, as Maxwell hits him with another punch. Seeing Omega winded, Maxwell runs as fast as he can into the ropes, but on the rebound, Omega catches Maxwell and flips him over into a northern lights suplex pin, but somehow, Maxwell kicks out after the two count. Omega shakes his head in disbelief and holds up three fingers to the ref, but the ref holds up two fingers back to him. Getting a bit frustrated, Omega quickly rises to his feet and drags Maxwell to his own as well. Omega Irish whips Maxwell hard into the nearest turnbuckle, but Maxwell is able to keep standing by grabbing onto the top ropes. Omega shakes his head before charging at Maxwell, but Maxwell is able to land an elbow to Omega’s face. Omega staggers backwards a bit before charging again at Maxwell hard, but this time, Maxwell is able to move out of the way at the last minute as Omega goes shoulder first into the ring post. Omega’s face tells the tale of how much pain he is in, but Maxwell is able to capitalize, as he makes his way over to Omega and rolls him up in a school boy pin, but Omega kicks out after the two count.
Both men take their time on the mat to get back up to their feet, as they take in the buzzing from the crowd. Maxwell is using the ropes for leverage, while Omega is climbing to his feet under his own power. Omega is the first to his feet, and he sees Maxwell struggling to get to his feet. Omega taunts Maxwell, almost begging him to turn around. Maxwell does, and Omega charges at him and attempts a clothesline, but Maxwell ducks it and hits the flashback onto Omega. Both men are down, but Maxwell quickly begins to make crawl towards Omega for a cover. Once there, Maxwell makes a lazy cover, resulting in Omega kicking out at the two count. But Maxwell is the first to his feet this time. Maxwell drags Omega to his feet by his ponytail and shoves him into the nearest turnbuckle and hits him with a hard knife edge chop, which receives an ovation of “woos” from the crowd. Maxwell smirks at this reaction before hitting another chop, and then another. Seeing Omega winded, Maxwell climbs up onto the second rope and begins to punch away at Omega’s face. The crowd counts along with the punches. “One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Sev…,” but Omega is able to lift Maxwell up and land a kneebreaker on Maxwell’s bad leg. Omega goes for another cover, but again, Maxwell kicks out at the two count. Omega drags Maxwell to his feet and Irish whips him against the ropes, and being slightly winded, is taken down by a flying forearm smash from Maxwell on the rebound. After a few seconds, Maxwell is able to knip up, getting a little pop from the crowd, but after the move, he winces a bit at his right leg. But Maxwell is able to fight it off as he begins to march around the ring, trying to gain momentum from the crowd, who respond with a mixed reaction, while Maxwell makes his way to the nearest turnbuckle and begins to “tune up the band” onto the downed Omega. After a few notes are played, Omega is up to one knee, and he turns around right into SWEET CHIN MUSI-NO! Omega ducks the kick and positions himself behind Maxwell and attempts a waist-lock takedown, but Maxwell is able to elbow Omega in the head a bit. Knowing Omega is groggy, Maxwell shifts himself behind Omega and locks in the KID’S KLUTCH! Omega falls to one knee, and so does Maxwell, who continues to apply pressure as much as he can. The ref asks Omega if he wants to give up, but Omega shakes his head. It appears that Omega is beginning to fade away, but that assumption is brushed away because after a few moments, he is able to elbow away at Maxwell’s chest. Maxwell staggers back a bit, and Omega slowly makes his way to the ropes to help him get back to his feet. Omega smirks to the fans that he sees as he makes his way to his feet. He turns around and sees Maxwell his very winded, so he makes his way over to him. But out of no where, Maxwell attempts a kick to Omega’s midsection, but Omega sees this coming as he grabs Maxwell’s leg, so he is only standing on one foot. Omega begins to talk some trash to Maxwell, but Maxwell smirks as he jumps up, and with his right leg, hits an enziguri onto Omega.
Both men are down to the mat now, but Maxwell begins to stir first, as he is first up to his feet. He makes his way near Omega and begins to stalk him, taunting him to rise. Once Omega is to his feet, he turns around into a kick in the midsection from Maxwell, who sets Omega up for the HEARTBREAKER! But Omega is able to counter it into a back body drop, sending Maxwell to the mat yet again. Omega signals for the end, and makes his way to Maxwell’s legs and attempts to lock in the OMEGA PRISON, but Maxwell is still alive, as he struggles and fights back with all his might. After a few moments of struggling, Maxwell is able to put enough strength into his legs and is able to kick Omega away, who flies back against a turnbuckle. Omega smirks and shakes his head at Maxwell who is attempting to get back to his feet. Once up to one knee, Maxwell turns towards Omega, who waists no time charging at Maxwell, but Maxwell is able to take Omega’s momentum and lift him up over his shoulders in position for the JAILHOUSE ROCK! Maxwell takes a moment to look around at the crowd, smirking all the while, before crashing Omega to the mat with a punishing death valley driver. But on the way down, Maxwell inadvertently slams Omega in a position where he gives the referee a bump, who immediately slumps to the mat. Maxwell realizes this as he goes for the cover, but no one makes the count. Maxwell gets back up to his feet and looks around at the two downed men, Omega and the ref. Maxwell shakes his head and mutters something to himself as he begins to pace the ring.
But what Maxwell doesn’t see is RAYMOND KAGE running down towards the ring as fast as he can carrying a table with him. Raymond gets a little ovation from the crowd, but he ignores this as he slides into the ring. Once Raymond enters the ring, Maxwell feels the shake, and looks over at his arch rival. Maxwell shakes his head and says something to Raymond, but Raymond just smirks at Maxwell. Maxwell charges at Raymond out of anger, but this proves unwise, as Raymond nails Maxwell in the midsection with the table, which sends Maxwell slumping to the mat holding his midsection.
The Voice- “That was totally uncalled for Jim! Raymond Kage has no right interfering in this match!”
Headhunter- “Shut it Vic. Kage just wants to make sure he faces Omega at Legacy of Supremacy. Conners would be too easy.”
Meanwhile, Raymond Kage has set up the table in the middle of the ring, and slowly makes his way over to Maxwell. Raymond slowly drags Maxwell to his feet by his hair, but before Maxwell can slump back to the mat in pain, Raymond shoves Maxwell onto the table. Once positioned right, Raymond climbs up the table as well, and lifts Maxwell up to his feet again. Raymond smirks at Maxwell, who is really groggy, and gives him a well placed slap to the face. This causes Maxwell to stagger and lean forward, allowing Raymond to hit the LONDON LAMENT THROUGH THE TABLE! By this time, Omega is starting to come to, so Raymond quickly leaves the ring, leaving a broken table and a broken Maxwell lying in the middle of it. Maxwell appears to have been knocked out cold, and Omega looks over at this while making his way to his feet. Omega walks over and smirks, looking down at the lifeless Maxwell. But before applying any more punishment to Maxwell, Omega walks over to the ref and drags him near Maxwell. The ref shakes his head as he begins to come to. Omega doesn’t see this though, as he quickly walks to Maxwell’s legs and applies the OMEGA PRISON onto Maxwell. But Maxwell doesn’t scream, or moan in pain. Maxwell is out cold as Omega continues to apply the hold. Once the ref has finally maintained his composure, he crawls over to Maxwell and begins asking him if he wants to submit. But Maxwell remains lifeless. The ref notices that Maxwell isn’t moving, so he quickly calls for the bell. “The Trooper” begins to play, but Omega won’t release the hold.
“And here is your winner and STILL the Barton Town World Heavyweight Champion, Omega!” After much force, the ref is able to pry Omega off of Maxwell, who continues to lie motionless in the center of the ring. Omega grabs his belt from Victor Cross and smirks to himself, taunting the downed Maxwell. The ref is bending over Maxwell, checking up on him. After a few moments, the ref calls for trainers and EMTs to come down to the ring to help Maxwell out, and almost immediately, they are seen running past Omega, who just has disappeared to the back. They make their way down to the ramp and they all enter the ring and begin to help pick Maxwell up to his feet. Maxwell remains motionless as he is dragged to his feet and slowly begins being helped to the back.
The Voice- “Damn Raymond Kage. Damn him to hell. He cost Conners a chance to be champion.”
Headhunter- “I know. Kage cost me money. He knocked out Conners so he couldn’t tap. Ah, well, you win some, you lose some Vic.”
The Voice- “I just hope Conners is ok. We know he’ll be wanting some revenge.”
