One on One with Big Daddy

Thanks to the tradition starter Brian Blade I had an interview lined up with the reigning BTWF Champion Big Daddy. Here is what he had to say in regards to his title reign as well as other issues.

Q: Ok, to start off, everyone wants to know, how does it feel to be the BTWF Champion?

BD: To be the BTWF champion, it's a great experience. Since I was never really given the chance to excel anywhere else, I feel that the right choice was made to let me take this fed in its infant stage and be the man on top to be sought after.

Q: You have yet to defend your title and have been heavily criticized by it. How do you feel about this?

BD: To not defend the title every night is not something I'm expected to do. As anyone would know, I have a "defend the title within 1 month (from PPV to PPV) or it will be stripped from me". Since this exists, I plan to take full advantage of it, so be lucky you'll see me defend the title, let alone show up at Madness or a PPV.

Q: Are there any BTWF wrestlers you would like to have a match with in the future, and why?

BD: I would like to have a match wil Brian Blade. He may seem like a complete prick on the mic, but in the ring, he's the real deal. Also, Omega and Steve Twist are men I'd love to WRESTLE, not entertain the crowd with.

Q: What do you think of all these people who come in and just demand a title shot?

BD: For all these people coming in demanding a title shot makes me sick. I don't see why they all don't get the fact that they need to EARN the right to be a contender, not just say "I want the title, give me a match". If anything, they should be in a few matches before challenging for anything, let alone the BTWF title.

Q: Who in the BTWF do you think deserves a title the most? This being a non-champion.

BD: Hmmmm........a non champion you say? I would declare Brian Blade a potential contender, but with him being the boss, he is tied up at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if FF is the next contender.

Q: If you could choose your next opponent for the title, who would it be?

BD: My next opponent will soon be chosen, you'll have to wait and see at Madness when I beat TT and announce who's the next contender.

Q: Now a few thoughts on some past happenings. For starters, back in the GWF you were in a faction with Fox, with her being one of the few female wrestlers in the BTWF can you tell us how she has changed, for better and worse, and what you think of her now.

BD: Fox seemed to be mouthy from the get go. She thinks that she can be queen of the world and have everything handed to her on a silver platter. I do like the fact that she found a stable with Omega and the Twins of Death, but personally, she needs to be put in line by someone.

Q: Now, one you can really sink your teeth into, what do you think about her former man, Hell’s Guardian?

BD: Former man? Fox was right when she said that Hell's Guardian wasn't even a man. He goes out, runs his mouth, thinks he's Stone Cold Steve Austin, then thinks he's John Cena. He then comes out, complaining he was beaten up by punks instead of losing at Bloodbath. His laundry list of flaws make him a character no one wants to see, yet the crowd believes he's gonna be the next bona fide superstar. I know he's a one trick pony, and that's all he'll ever be. He deserves nothing. I had to carry him in our match at Bloodbath, and it seems that I'll have to carry him the most while being the BTWF champion.

Q: At BloodBath, why did FF help you, and did you really need it?

BD: FF helped me because he knew and I knew that HBK was tipping the odds in favour of Hell's Guardian. HBK got in my face more times than needed, so I got back in his face. Since Hell's Guardian decided to take advantage, FF made the playing fields level. So did FF beat Hell's Guardian? No! Did he wrestle the match? No! I did! FF just inserted himself as the special enforcer at the right time, that's all.

Q: Now some questions dealing with the ownership of the BTWF. We know that you and Brian Blade both have respect for each other. Do you think that he has done a good job running the BTWF so far? Or are we better off without him?

BD: Are you kidding? Without Blade, this place would be in shambles!!! HBK was to ride this place into the ground before Blade won. So Blade is better off as the boss.

Q: If you were the owner of the BTWF, what would you change and who would you fire if you had the opportunity?

BD: If I were the owner, there would be no GM's. I would make competition for all the titles (if possible) and do pretty much what Blade has done so far, keep this place in order. If anything, I'd fire people who complained. "You don't like it, then you're just SOL (and we all know what that means)" is what I'd say to anyone who defied me.

Q: We have seen the card for Payback so far. What are some of your match predictions, excluding your own?

BD: For the card, I see Drizzt coming out with the title from the scamble cage, Omega to shut Steve Twist up, Pulse to keep her women's title and the Twins of Death to become the new tag team champions.

Q: Now its time for most peoples favorite part, the fun questions. To start, what is your favorite movie? Least favorite?

BD: Favourite movie would have to be the Shawshank Redemption. Seeing one man fight it all and get his way in the end led to an amazing story. Least favourite is Matrix 2 and 3, I felt no need for them, since the first was a classic in the making.

Q: How about your favorite music or bands?

BD: I prefer Rock over anything. I listen to Linkin Park, Metallica, Motorhead, AC/DC, Saliva, pretty much anything that has a awesome beat or lyrics to listen to.

Q: Besides wrestling, what other sports do you like?

BD: I'm a huge hockey fanatic. I love to see the fast paced action on the ice. I also love Tampa Bay, and I hope they win this year.

Q: I kind of feel sorry for not giving BB so many fun questions but one more for you will suffice. Who was your favorite wrestler growing up and now?

BD: Favourite wrestler growing up was always Bret Hart. He was never the biggest or toughest, but he proved everyone wrong with what he could do. Now, I like where Randy Orton is going. He seems to remind me of myself: cocky, competitive and determined to win. I see him going far for years to some.

To keep the tradition alive, I'd like to see the tag team champions, Shady and The Tiger be the next one(s) interviewed, seeing how the crowd is wanting to hear what they say.
