In May 2000, Erick Bronson was close to signing a WCW Contract. But after speaking with friend and WCW Star Billy Kidman, he decided against it. Only days later the offer came from UCW. He quickly accepted and entered the federation only days later, to fued with another Erik, Erik Addison.
Bronson would go on to defeat Erik Addison in the only meeting between the two. He would then re-team with long time friend Bowen Xavier, along with new manager Clarissa. The duo would capture the Tag Team titles from Mason & Da Big Dawg only months after their debut. They would go on to lose them to PG-13, with whom they had a major fued. They would regain the titles in January of 2001, before dropping them to Shannon Garrett & Jody Hayden due to Bronson's elbow injury.
When Bronson returned from his elbow injury, he engaged in a small fued with Acid: "Working with Rob (Acid) was great. I've known him for years, he's married to my cousin Carrie. And he's one of the most talented guys out there, so I knew we'd put on a good match."
After his return, the team of Bowen & Bronson split when Bowen betrayed Bronson and aligned himself with his cousin Double X. Bronson has this to say about being in the ring opposite his long time friend, and soon to be brother in law: "Bowen and I wrestled each other for years on the idies, but in front of like 20 people. Now we've got 20,000 hanging on our every move, its great,"
Bronson often assists UCW as a therapist, due to his degree in sports medicine. When not on the road, he enjoys the club scene: "I'm still looking for Miss Right." he laughs. We here at UCW.com are sure he'll find her, after being named number 11 in the People Magazine list of the "World's Sexiest Wrestler."
