2001 COACHING STAFF 2002

Mike Ortman (Head Coach)

Mike Ortman is in his second season as head wrestling coach of Neshaminy High School. Mike previously served as an assistant coach at Neshaminy during the 1998-1999 wrestling season. Mike wrestled at Council Rock High School from 1990 to 1992 where he also played football. He went to college at Ursinus University where he wrestled at 150 pounds. He holds the university victory record at 122. Mike was a 3 time NCAA qualifier and graduated in 1996. He is currently a school teacher in the Truman School district.

Rick Ireland (Assistant Coach)

Coach Ireland wrestled at Maple Point High School for Coaches Dick Keefe and Bill Crozier. In Rick's senior year, 1978 he was the Sectional and District Champion at 138 pounds. Rick was also an outstanding Linebacker on the football team. Rick has been a coach for the Neshaminy Wrestling Youth organization for 11 years, the last 9 as the Head Coach. This is the second year of Rick's return to the Neshaminy High School coaching ranks. Rick was an assistant coach for 7 years during his first stint at Neshaminy.

Brad Ortman (Assistant Coach)

Coach Ortman was a four year varsity wrestler at Council Rock High School. This is Brads first year as an assistant wrestling coach at Neshaminy high School. He has previously coached wrestling at both the Junior High level spending 3 years at Newton Jr High and 4 years at Holland Jr High and the youth level at Council Rock's youth wrestling. Brad also coaches the nine year old football team at the Northampton Football.

Kevin Romano (Assistant Coach)

Coach Romano is in his second year as an assistant at Neshaminy. Coach Romano wrestled at Archbishop Wood High School. Kevin graduated from the University of Scranton, where he played four years of varsity soccer. Kevin then went on to LaSalle University and earned a Master Degree in education. Currently, Kevin is teaching Social Studies at Bucks County Technical High School. This is Coach Romano's first year as an assistant wrestling coach at Neshaminy High School. Previously, he was an assistant wrestling coach at C.B. East from 1998 to 2000.

Tom Magdelinskas (Assistant Coach)

Coach Magdellinskas is in his second year as an assistant at Neshaminy. Coach Magdellinskas (Mags) is in his first year as an assistant wrestling coach at Neshaminy High School. Mags is a teacher at Neshaminy and he also coaches football at Archbishop Wood

Tim Ortman (Assistant Coach)

Tim is a 1996 graduate of Council Rock High School and a 2001 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. While at Council Rock, Tim was a 4 year varsity letter winner compiling a career record of 118 wins versus only 28 losses. Tim was a three time PIAA state qualifier placing 4th in the state during both his junior and senior years.

During his time at Penn, he was a 4 year varsity letter winner in wrestling and lightweight football. In his senior campaign he was a EIWA Champion at 165 pounds and a NCAA national qualifier finishing the season ranked 14th in the country. Tim is currently employed with the central Bucks School District.

Elizabeth Buhrman (Manager)

Elizabeth is a 15 year old Sophomore at Neshaminy High School. Elizabeth enjoys skiing in her free time. She loves working with kids and her favorite class at Neshaminy is Child Development. Elizabeth became a wrestling manager because she likes watching the sport.

Christine Ryan (Manager)

Christine is a 16 year old Sophomore at Neshaminy High School. In her spare time Christine loves to shop and hang out with her friends. Christine is looking forward to graduating from high school and going on to college.

Lindsay Heayn

Lindsay is a 15 year old Sophomore at Neshaminy High School. Lindsay likes to roller skate and make people laugh. After High School she wants to go to college and study in the animal husbantry field. Lindsay was a wrestling manager at Neshaminy Middle school and plans to be a wrestling manager throughout her High School career.
