Hello folks and welcome to another edition of the weekly commentary, written by yours truly, B.J. the DJ. Well, there’s really not much to report this week, so I decided that I would give my analysis for the current matches at our next card as well as my predictions of who I think will win. But before I get into that, I need to make a correction. The next HCW show is not on December the 2nd, it will be held December 8, 2000 at the Whitman Community Center in Whitman, West Virginia. The date error was a mistake on my part and I apologize for that. Now that we’ve got that squared away, here is an in-depth look at the matches:

Christopher Micheals vs Jessie Lundas

This will more than likely be the most technically sound match of the entire card. Both of these men have worked extremely hard, but have come out on the losing end of the match during the last two shows. Micheals did everything in his power to defeat Bobby Storm at HCW’s debut show, but ended up tapping out via the Sharpshooter. He then did everything he could to pull off a win against “TNT” Nathan Kidd, but was surprised by a Fisherman suplex and lost that one as well. Lundas has had the crowd behind him during his match with Brian Gilbert, but due to interference from yours truly and a Frog Splash, he ended up with a mark in the loss column. He then resorted to a few underhanded tactics in his match with Bobby Storm, but “The Eye of the Storm” was his undoing. This losing streak will end for one of them on December 8. Who will it be???? I ‘m gonna go with Micheals in an upset win with one of his patented Swanton Bombs. But, there is only one way to find out and that’s for you to come to Whitman on December 8.

I predict: Christopher Micheals with Swanton Bomb

HCW Hardcore Title Match. Best of 3 Series Brutal Bud Brewski vs Gangsta Z

Well, we will find out once and for all just who deserves to be the HCW Hardcore Champion. With the series even at one match each, you can rest assured that these men will pull out all of the stops to claim the gold. Gangsta Z took the first match on September 9, 2000 by nailing his devastating finishing move, “The Drive By.” Bud Brewski, however, took revenge on the November 3 match with a little help from Richard Trump to even the series at one match each. So, it all comes down to this. The last match. The winner takes home the HCW Hardcore belt. The loser takes home nothing but a few bruises and wounded pride. Who will it be???? This is gonna be a very tough match to call, but I’m gonna have to go with Gangsta Z pulling off the win with the “Drive By” winning the series and the HCW Hardcore Championship.

I predict: Gangsta Z with the Drive By

Shane Mathews vs. Drew Wellman

This match is going to be a tough one to call. These two have crossed paths before, as they were involved in a Three Way Dance along with Eric Darkstorm. “Superstar” Shane emerged victorious in that match, but the question is can he defeat Wellman in a one on one match???? Again, another tough match to call. Let’s flip a coin. Heads, it goes to Mathews. Tails, Darkstorm takes home the victory. And the winner is……

I predict: Eric Darkstorm

B.J. the DJ and Brian Gilbert vs “Sexy Boy” Bobby Storm and King Cobra Stipulation: If Storm and Cobra win, Storm gets a Cruiserweight title shot against Gilbert

This match is gonna be a good one. Two men with years of experience in the business in Storm and Gilbert and two men new to the business in King Cobra and myself. This match has the makings for a classic. This will not be the first time that Storm and Gilbert have crossed paths as they have a very storied history in several other promotions. Most recently, Storm lost one of his coveted title belts to Gilbert and is now looking for revenge. During his stint in HCW, Storm is on a good winning streak, scoring wins over Christopher Micheals and Jessie Lundas, respectively. Gilbert has had a great deal of success in HCW as well, pulling off a win against Lundas in HCW’s debut show and coming to the aid of Richard Trump and yours truley on November 3 and attacking King Cobra. And speaking of King Cobra, he is also riding a tidal wave of success in HCW scoring a win over yours truly (obvisouly a fluke) in a one on one match and against Richard Trump and myself in a tag team match with his partner, Bobby Wonderful. Well, you can bet your bottom dollar that I’m not taking this lying down. So on December 8, 2000, not only am I gonna get my revenge on King Cobra, but I’m also gonna help save my good friend, Brian Gilbert, from having to kick the crap out of Bobby Storm again. And Bobby Storm, I haven’t forgotten about that chair shot at Williamson and as the saying goes, what goes around comes around. So Bobby Storm, be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

I predict: B.J. the DJ and Brian Gilbert

HCW World Heavyweight and Appalachian Title 2 Falls Triple Threat Match Chance Prophet (HCW World Champion) vs Shaun Edwards (Appalachian Champion) vs Mad Dawg

This match is not going to be for the weak at heart folks. All three of these men have great potential and all three deserve to be the HCW World Heavyweight Champion. Unfortunately, only one can wear the gold and on December 8, we’ll find out just who that man is going to be. Mad Dawg is no stranger to either of these men as he fought Edwards on September 9, he took on Edwards for the Appalachian title and Prophet on November 3 for the World title. However, due to bias officiating, Mad Dawg came up on the losing end of both contests. The question now is can Mad Dawg put that behind him and concentrate on this match or will ghosts of the past, not to mention a bias referee, come back to haunt him??? Ever since winning the HCW title, Chance Prophet has been on a roll. He defeated “Hardcase” James Stevens to win the title on September 9 and, as I stated earlier, successfully defend the title on November 3 against Mad Dawg. But now, he enters the World of the Triple Threat match. A match where he does not have to be pinned to lose his title. Can he over come these odds and walk out with his World title still in tact and, quite possibly, the Appalachian title as well??? Or will he end up losing it all without even losing???? The same goes for Shaun Edwards. He has been doing fairly well himself since becoming Appalachian Champ. As stated earlier, he defeated Mad Dawg for the title on September 9, and then successfully defended it against James Stevens on November 3. Now, he has the opportunity to strike double gold in HCW. Will he be able to continue his winning streak and add the World title to his already impressive resume or will he lose what he holds so dearly in the Appalachian title???? Again, this is a tough match to call, but I’m going to go with both champions retaining their respective titles.

I predict: Shaun Edwards keeps the Appalachian title and Chance Prophet keeps the World title.

If there was a match that was left out, please get back to me and I’ll be sure to post it along with my prediction in next weeks commentary. And with that being said, it’s time to say our good-byes again. Tune in next week, same time, same website. Until then, this is B.J. the DJ, the hippest man in the land, signing off.
