USING THE MESSAGE
BOARDS
The RP Board is ONLY for RP's. No OOC posts on it PERIOD, or you will lose grading on your RP's for the week.
Replies to posts on the RP board are strictly forbidden, for a variety of reasons. They can cause your RP to be overlooked, they make the board look sloppy. And short in-character responses would be just as well added into an actual RP, so those are especially forbidden.
You may not post 2 different RPs within 6 (SIX) hours of each other. This is to prevent people from posting 3 RPs an hour before the RP deadline. Whether doing that is cheating or not is debatable, but it's not kosher. This rule is to prevent that.
There is to be no flaming other
wrestlers on the OOC board. If you have a complaint, it is easily possible to state it without being a jackass. It is also possible to have an entire debate without flaming.
Flames will be deleted as soon as staff sees them, and the person who flamed will lose grading on his or her RP's.
No complaining on the boards! If you have a problem, email the staff!
CARDS AND RESULTS
The RP deadline for normal cards is
Wednesday Midnight Eastern Standard Time, with a 3 hour
grace period.
The results will be posted by Friday
Midnight EST.
For Pay Per Views, the RP period and deadline will be announced on a case-by-case basis. PPV results will usually be posted the first Sunday night after the Rping period has ended.
Do _NOT_ bother the staff about the results! They are working hard on them, but they are only people. Getting the results done is much harder work than you might think. And if you don't believe me, offer to write a match and see.
The card will go up at the same time as the results. RPing may begin immediately unless specified otherwise.
RULES FOR RPING
This should go without saying, but you are not allowed to use other people in your RP's without their permission.
No homosexuality-oriented insults are
permitted in RP's. Since some people can't seem to
understand what is an insult and what isn't, I will list what makes an insult.
- Outright insults (eg calling someone
"queer", "homo", "faggot" or something similar)
- Making insinuations
- Suggesting that someone's valet is of the opposite gender
- Calling someone a slut (only a
problem for the girls, but still)
- Saying that someone has "strange interests" (ie farm animals, fat people, incest, etc.)
This rule may be broken ONLY with written consent from both the handler of your opponent AND the president of the IWA.
No racist slurs (eg calling someone
"nigger" or something similar). This rule may be broken if you get the written consent of the handler you are facing. You would be advised to have proof of this written consent.
No OOC comments allowed in RP's. This includes...
- Talking about "RPs" or "promos"
- Talking about the handler of the wrestler you're facing as opposed to the wrestler himself
- Talking about angles themselves (e.g insulting an angle for "being stupid", etc.).
No posting pornographic pictures in
RP's. This is not only in bad taste, but against the
message board terms of service, and can get the boards
taken away from us.
IWA does not run house shows. Thus, in-ring promos are forbidden. You won't get in trouble for posting one, but it won't count for anything and it WILL count towards your RP total for the week.
You know what is in good taste and what isn't. So keep it in good taste when you're RPing. And remember, if you have to ask yourself "is this OK to say", it probably isn't.
Do NOT put any sort of music or video file in your RPs. They cause peoples computers to freeze, which is always annoying, and can result in lost RPs. If an RP has music in it, the RP will be deleted, but can be reposted for full credit.
*NOTE* Staff decides if any action is warranted. Their decision is final.
If you do not like the way the fed is ran then go ahead
and save every one the trouble of firing you, and
quit. IWA will continue with out you.
And remember. IWA only wants you as a part of it so long as you want to be a part of IWA. Do not expect anyone to beg you to stay with the fed.
Do not have the "I'll RP when I want to" attitude or the "I have better things to do than e-fed" attitude. Most of the people in IWA work hard, and if you're not willing to do so, then you can get out.
RP GUIDELINES
Unless specified otherwise, only 4 RPs per RPing period. This is to prevent people from winning matches by RPing twice a day. Quality beats quantity, and we want people to shoot for quality.
RP limits are per entity as opposed to per handler. Thus, a two handler tag team would be limited to 4 total RPs, not 4 RPs each.
There will occasionally be exceptions to the RP limit rules - most notably in 3+ man tag matches. In these cases, the RP limits will be explained under the match description.
Match winners will be decided on these terms. 80% Quality, 15% Storylines, 5% dependability of the handler. If you are jobbed for storyline purposes, you will likely get compensation, so don't take it too hard. |
