EMF: Whiplash

(The copyright information goes over the screen, and we go into a highlight video where it explains how all of the matches on tonight's card came together. As it ends, we go into a introduction screen that welcomes us to Whiplash 2008. We go into the darken area as pryrotechnics blasts off on the stage. As that ends, the lights turn on fans are waving their signs, and yelling. Some signs say "

JR-Welcome to Whiplash, and what a show we have for you tonight. I'm good ol' JR along side Jerry "The King" Lawler, and Kris "KG" Gaffney.

King-Yeah, headlined by CM Punk and Jarred Carthallion. Interesting fact about Whiplash, it was actually named by EMF Hall of Famer Counterfeit.

Kris Gaffney-Really?

King-Yeah…guess someone rear ended his car while on the trail of Hardcore Barczycowski…

Kris Gaffney-Ouch….

JR-…Anyways let's get started…

("Paint it black" blasts on the PA system as Firestorm walks to the ring, and he slides into the ring. He waits for his opponent.)

JR-Firestorm since returning to the EMF has seemed to come with little to no rust.

King-Seemly though he has a stalker….

Kris Gaffney-I think it's just a mystery voice…not necessarily stalking him.

King-Aw…I was hoping it was Mickie James…

("Nick Geb's theme" blasts on the PA as Nick Geb walks to the ring, and slides into the ring.)

JR-Nick Geb is in his first match here in the EMF, it should be interesting to see how he does against the EMF veteran.

King-Even though he's not a rookie himself.

Kris Gaffney-Can't believe we can get 5 million in here…can't believe there is that much space.

King-It's to fit the Boston fan ego.

Firestorm and Nick Geb stand on opposite sides of the ring intimidating eachother with evil stares hoping that either one will lose focus as the match gets underway, they lock up in the center of the ring pushing towards eachother to no avale showing that the contest could be a like for like match, they lock up again this time roll around the ring ropes and again the hold is broken with neither showing who has more strength-

Gaffney: We’re looking at a stalemate here for the opening match of the night.

J.R: It looks that way Kris, who will get the upper hand in this one?

-They both go to lock up once more but this time Geb hits Firestorm with a thumb to the eyes and the tides falls to Geb who comes at Firestorm with a straight punch to the head followed by a headlock, Geb takes Firestorm down to one knee and begins to tighten his grip on storm and cut off circulation to storm, with the pressure hold on storm manages to struggle to his feet and then elbows Geb in the stomach twice, Geb loosens his grip and Firestorm comes off the ropes with speed, he runs back towards Geb but is met by a drop toe hold followed up very quickly by a front face lock-

J.R: Well Firestorm in the early stages isn’t looking as though he has much chance to get any offence here, Nick Geb is looking good for his debut and is looking very quick.

King: your right J.R Firestorm needs to get out of this hold and out of the ring to rethink his game plan, but it’s hard to wrestle someone who you’ve never seen before.

-Geb looking in complete control then starts to talk trash to storm as his face lay on the canvass, with a swift move storm then twists his body and manages to not only get out of the front face lock but to also apply an armbar on Geb, but it lasts only seconds as Geb pulls himself free and then moves to the corner, Firestorm gets to his feet and moves to the other corner and begin another stare down-

J.R: Well, they really are very well matched here and I couldn’t pick a winner between these two if my life depended on it.

Gaffney: I agree J.R

King: thanks for adding your thoughts there Kris, always the announcer with an answer…

-They both move closer to the middle of the ring to tie up again but Firestorm lunges forwards with a hard clothesline and Geb hits the mat hard and holds the back of his head, Firestorm picks him up and whips him to the corner and follows up with another big clothesline, storm then begins to chop and punch at Geb who is looking dazzed and in pain at this point, another whip from storm to Geb and a follow up with a clothesline once more but Geb moves and storm hits the turnbuckle, Geb turns to face storm and storm turns out of the corner and Geb goes for a punch but storm ducks under and delivers a neckbreaker on Geb, storm gets to his feet, still feeling the affects of the turnbuckle, and starts to stomp on Geb, then two elbow drops, storm then picks up Geb and delivers a perfect snap suplex, Geb again holds the back of his head, storm then goes to the top ropes, he signals to the crowd and goes for a big splash, but Geb moves out of the way-

Gaffney: wow that must really hurt King, why do people make such stupid mistakes in a match that their in control of.

King: good question Kris, all I can say is that Firestorm is showman like all the other guys in the back and will also go all in to get the victory, but that looked to me to be a big mistake.

-Geb trys to move himself across to storm and make the cover…1…2…a kickout from storm keeps the match alive and Geb looks tired now, he gets to his feet and punches storm in the head while he’s down, he follows up with a stiff boot to the face and goes for another cover…1…2..kick out again and Geb now looks frustrated, he picks up Firestorm and whips him the ropes, storm bounces back and on returns gets powerslammed, a quick cover by Geb…1…2…kick out by storm, Geb then signals for his finisher……………… he picks up Firestorm but is met with a fist to the temple, Geb stumbles back but comes forward with a right hand of his own, storm goes back and then hits another, Geb hits another, storm hits another, Geb goes for another punch but storm blocks and hits another, Geb again but once more blocked, storm with another and another and another, Firestorm whips Geb against the ropes, but it's reversed and as Storm comes back is met with a belly to belly suplex, Geb stands up looking ready to end the match-

J.R: Well folks it looks like Nick Geb may just be able to see this one through with a victory over Firestorm here.

King: they’ve put on a good show so far J.R but its not over yet, Geb needs to finish this quick and not keep taunting with the crowd.

[Slowly Firestorm makes it up to his feet, he stumbles towards Nick Geb, Nick Geb goes for his finisher, but it's blocked by Firestorm. Firestorm gets under Nick Geb goes for a belly to back suplex. But Nick Geb rolls out of the back, Nick Geb pushes Firestorm, and Firestorm almost goes into the ref, but stops himself. Nick Geb comes from behind, and Firestorm is able to hit a back low blow mule kick. The ref wasn't able to see it, so Firestorm was able to get away with it. Nick Geb stumbles back, and Firestorm nails the firestarter, and goes into the cover, and gets the 1………….2……………3.]

JR-That's cheating!

King-No, no! When you are successful…your savvy!

Kris Gaffney-Or so says Bill Belichick

(Note: A full staff decision (3 people). The veteran Firestorm just had a bit much for Nick Geb. I've would say text, quality of the RP is what did it. Talent is there for Nick Geb, just a matter of developing a little more; however, considering his sample RP…he is on the right track to do that.)

("Ricky Ramon's theme" blasts on the PA system as Ricky Ramon walks to the ring with his wife Riley Ramon.)

King-Remind me why wrestlers bring their wives again….to tease me?

Kris Gaffney-Oh….yeah…that's the reason.

JR-Ricky Ramon is looking for his first championship shot in his young career.

("No More Sorrow" blasts on the PA system as Josh Hanley walks to the ring, and he steps into the ring.)

King-Well….at least Hanley stop bringing Claire.

Kris Gaffney-She wasn't his wife…

King-What? Why wasn't I informed!

JR-…….

Ricky Ramon hits a few fists to the face of Josh Hanley. Josh Hanley backs up to the ropes, and then Ricky Ramon tries to whip Josh Hanley off of the ropes, but it's reversed. Ricky Ramon looks at the ref, but decides not to argue, he rolls out of the ring and looks under the ring, and pulls out a cookie sheet. He rolls into the ring, and measures up Josh Hanley, and bashes him on the head with the sheet. He looks dazed, and stumbles around. Ricky Ramon puts the cookie sheet behind him. Then Ricky Ramon measures up Josh Hanley, Josh Hanley stumbles towards him, and Ricky Ramon sets him up, and hits a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a count, and gets a 1……………..2…………….kick out by Josh Hanley. Josh Hanley stumbles into the corner, and Ricky Ramon measures up and hits a few knife edge chops to the chest of Josh Hanley.]

JR-Shades of the Nature boy.

King-I think we should "leave the memories alone"

Kris Gaffney-Interesting choice of words…

[Josh Hanley reels into the corner, and Ricky Ramon hits a fist to the face, and whips Josh Hanley to the opposite side of the ring as Ricky Ramon follows into the corner, and Josh Hanley is able to go over Ricky Ramon. Ricky Ramon turns around into Josh Hanley who hits a belly to belly over head suplex that sends Ricky Ramon crashing down on his back. Josh Hanley and Ricky Ramon slowly get to their feet at about the same time. Josh Hanley grabs the cookie sheet, and measures up Ricky Ramon and smashes him over the head. Ricky Ramon goes down, and Josh Hanley falls down on the mat. Josh Hanley rolls out of the ring, and rolls out of the ring, and looks under the ring, and pulls out a ladder. Josh Hanley pushes the ladder into the ring, and brings out a table, and sets it up on the outside. Josh Hanley after setting up the table, rolls into the ring. Ricky Ramon is trying to get up using the ropes. Josh Hanley grabs the ladder, and lifts it on his shoulder as he measures Ricky Ramon. Ricky Ramon turns around, and then Josh Hanley charges with the ladder, and smashes Ricky Ramon with the ladder. He crashes into the ladder into Ricky Ramon's head, and Ricky Ramon goes down to the mat. Josh Hanley rises the ladder over his head, and smashes it across the back of Ricky Ramon. Ricky Ramon is in pain, and then this gives Josh Hanley the chance to set the ladder up in the corner of the ring. Instead he whips Ricky Ramon into the opposite side of the ring, and Ricky Ramon crhases into the corner. Ricky Ramon stumbles out of the corner, he turns around into Josh Hanley who sets up Ricky Ramon into an inverted Russian leg sweep. Josh Hanley pushes Ricky Ramon on to his back, and goes into the cover, and gets a 1……………..2………………..kick out by Ricky Ramon!]

JR-Almost got three on that exchange.

King-People rarely kick out at 1….

Kris Gaffney-I wish someone would…just to change up things…

[Josh Hanley measures as Ricky Ramon gets up by the ropes, and Josh Hanley clotheslines him over the top rope. He looks down on Ricky Ramon, but just before he jumps off. Chad Vargas comes from behind him on the ladder coming into the picture before Josh Hanley can do anything as he turns around. Chad Vargas pushes him off. Josh Hanley off of the ladder, and crashes through the table. Ricky Ramon is able to move out of the way and Hanley crashes into the table smashing it to bits. Ricky Ramon stumbles this feet, and pulls Josh Hanley out of the wreckage, and pushes him into the ring. Josh Hanley is stumbling up to his feet, Ricky Ramon kicks him in the gut after rolling into the ring sets up, and hits the green mile. He goes into the cover, and gets the 1……………2………….3!]

("New Noise" blasts on the PA system as Double A walks to the ring, and slides into the ring.)

JR-Double A must not know what to think here, he just join Revolution, and now he has to face a fellow teammate.

King-He probably thinks he is going to help Godwin.

Kris Gaffney-God knows this isn't the first time Double A has helped Dan Godwin.

("Dirty Window" blasts on the PA system as the television champion Dan Godwin walks down to the ring with the television.)

JR-It seems that Dan Godwin's aim isn't just being about TV champion.

King-Yeah, but it seems that Cena didn't want to forget about Double A's TV title shot.

Kris Gaffney-Or his hatred of Revolution.

[Dan Godwin and Double A pace around the ring, they slap hands as they have no choice put to do this match. They lock up Dan Godwin is able to get behind Double A, and take him down with a waist lock take down into a front face lock. ("Overkill" blasts on the PA system as Kavaros walks to the ring, and slides into the ring. He waits for his opponent.)

JR-The former Television Champion is looking to regain his winning touch.

King-Easier said than done…

Kris Gaffney-Tell me about it…I seen how the King gambles…

("Firebreather" blasts on the PA system as Scott Tazte walks to the ring, and steps into the ring. Scott Tazte goes into the ring, and waits for the bell to ring.)

JR-Two times Scott Tazte was close to capturing a world title shot.

King-Yeah, but guess close isn't good enough.

Kris Gaffney-Maybe Tazte should be consulting Steiner on his odd's on this match…

[Kavaros and Scott Tazte are in the middle of the ring, Scott Tazte is talking some trash to Kavaros. King-Ever notice that people argue a lot?

JR-Yeah..

Kris Gaffney-Oh well…it never works in the IBA….but does it ever stop players?

[Kavaros goes into the corner, Scott Tazte hits a few fists to the face. Then Scott Tazte whips Kavaros to the other side of the ring. Kavaros goes over the top of Scott Tazte as he follows in. But Scott Tazte moves out of the way, and he crashes into the corner. Scott Tazte's face bounces off the top turnbuckle, and Kavaros turns Scott Tazte around, and Kavaros hits a few fists to the face of Scott Tazte. But Kavaros isn't stopping, Scott Tazte pokes Kavaros in the eyes. He throws him into the corner, and goes for a fist. But it's blocked, and Kavaros hits a fist to the face that knocks down Tazte.]

JR-Kavaros was able to see that move coming, and was able to block that fist.

King-Wow, that takes a lot of brains to do that..

Kris Gaffney-*whispering* Should I tell everyone that you are being sarcastic.

King-*whispering*….not yet…

Kris Gaffney-*Whispering* What's the code word?

[Kavaros pulls Scott Tazte into the corner, and hits a running bulldog that makes Tazte bounce up dazed, Kavaros picks up Scott Tazte in a body slam, and goes to the outside, Kavaros climbs up to the top rope…measures, and goes for a top rope elbow drop. But Scott Tazte moves out of the way at the last second. Kavaros slowly gets up, turns around right into a kick in the gut, and the remedy by Scott Tazte. Tazte goes into the cover, and gets the 1…………..2…………3!]

JR-Tazte gets his first win back!

King-Knew it couldn't go on long.

(Note: Staff decision, both took a little while to get going with the focus. But once he did, the text, if not the overall quality of text is what made this decision. (note: at least the main factor that makes us think us that way.)

("Virus' theme" blasts on the PA system as Virus walks to the ring, and slides into the ring.)

JR-This is a big match for Virus.

King-Think he had a bigger match…with my computer last week…

Kris Gaffney-Oh good, you got that…

King-…….

("Skull Daze's theme" blasts on the PA system as Skull Daze walks to the ring, he slides ito the ring, and waits for the bell to ring.)

JR-The Extreme champion Skull Daze shouldn't be caught off guard by the dark tactics of Virus.

King-Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't formed a tag team yet…

Kris Gaffney-Sure that'll happen at some point…

[Virus runs up to where Skull Daze is coming down to the ring, and head him off at the ramp. They trade fists to the face, and then Skull Daze is able to over come this by hitting a knee lift into the gut, and he throws Virus into the guard rail. Virus stumbles, and Skull Daze knocks him down to the ramp way hard with a diving clothesline. Skull Daze grabs him by the hair, and brings him down to ring side and throws him hard into the ring steps. Virus' head bounces off of the steps, and Skull Daze looks under the ring and pulls out one of his favorite weapons a Singapore cane. Then stalks Virus, and takes the cane and smashes it over the back of Virus. Virus is in pain, and instead of turning around and possibly getting knocked out. Virus goes down to the floor on his hands and knee's. Skull Daze puts the Singapore cane over the throat of starts to choke Virus with the cane. He throws Virus into the ring, and the bell officially rings to start this match. Virus crawls over into the corner in the sitting position. Skull Daze goes over into the corner and starts to stomp Virus. Skull Daze then puts his boot to the throat of Virus, and holds it there for a few moments, and lets go, Skull Daze picks up Virus up, and hits a few knife edge chops to the chest of Virus. Then after he hit those, follows up with a fist to the face, and whips him to the other side of the ring. Skull Daze crashes into the corner, and stumbles out of the corner. Skull Daze hits a belly to belly over head suplex that sends Virus crashing into the mat. Virus slowly gets up to his feet, Skull Daze once again has his hands on the singpore cane waiting on Virus. Virus stumbles up, and turns around to get a cane shot to the stomach to double him over. Skull Daze throws down the cane, and runs to the ropes. He comes off of the ropes, and hits a flipping swinging neck breaker. Skull Daze goes into the cover, on Virus, and gets a 1…………….2…………….kick out by Virus. Skull Daze looks at the ref asking for a faster count.]

JR-Skull Daze thought he had the 3 there.

King-So does everyone else.

(King hits the RKO on King, and Kris counts, but only gets to 2.)

King-See…clearly three…

[Skull Daze stops messing around with the ref, and goes to the outside, and climbs to the top rope, and measures as Virus gets up to his feet. Skull Daze leaps off of the top rope. But as Skull Daze flies through the air, Virus is able to hit a drop kick that catches Skull Daze. Skull Daze goes down to the mat, and both wrestlers are down on the mat. Virus who is hurting rolls out of the ring, and gets out of the ring. Virus looks under the ring, and pulls a chair. Virus rolls into the ring, and sets up the chair, Skull Daze is getting up in pain. Virus hits a few fists to the face of Skull Daze, Skull Daze is reeling on the ropes. Virus whips him to the ropes, and Skull Daze bounces off of the ropes. Virus hits a drop toe hold that sends Skull Daze's face first into the steel chair. Skull Daze is in pain, and Virus pushes him on to his back, and goes into the cover. Virus gets a 1………………..2……….kick out by Skull Daze. Virus takes a few moments to rest, and gets to his feet as does Skull Daze. Virus hits an inverted atomic drop that stuns Skull Daze back, and Virus hits a big fist to the face that knocks him down. Skull Daze bounces off of the ropes, Virus lowers his head, and hits a big back body drop that sends Skull Daze flying through the air, and crashing down on the mat. Skull Daze stumbles up after bouncing up from the move. Virus runs to the ropes, and hits a running clothesline that knocks down Skull Daze. Skull Daze is slowly getting up, Virus runs to the ropes behind him, comes off them, and hits a one handed face crusher. Holding his face on his knee's after bouncing up after the impact. Virus runs to the ropes, and comes off of the ropes and hits a low drop kick to the face. Virus goes into the cover, and gets the 1……………2…………….KICK OUT by Skull Daze.]

JR-Virus is taking it to Skull Daze, and might be looking to move in for the kill.

Kris Gaffney-Too late on my computer.

King-That'll never get old…

[Slowly Skull Daze get up to his feet, and then he turns right into the double leg take down, and then hits a catapault that sends Skull Daze into the corner. Skull Daze stumbles out of the corner, and then right into Virus who goes for his finisher the plague attack. But as he turns it around, he see's that Chad Vargas is on the apron, he looks over at him as he unhooks Skull Daze. Virus takes a few steps warning Chad, suddenly Virus moves out of the way as Chad Vargas was trying to attack him from behind and Virus throws Skull Daze into Chad Vargas who falls on to the mat, Virus rolls up Skull Daze with a bridge as Skull Daze tries to struggle, and gets Virus gets the 1…………..2………..3 on Skull Daze.]

JR-Virus capitalize on Chad Vargas' distraction, and was able to defeat Skull Daze.

King-Skull Daze isn't going to be happy, even though it's most likely that Vargas was trying to help him.

Kris Gaffney-They never are….unless it goes their way.

("Pain" blasts on the PA system as Kevin Bourne walks to the ring, and slides into the ring.)

JR- For Kevin Bourne, this is another chance to bring gold into Revolution.

King-That would be quite a lot of gold…

Kris Gaffney-Kinda…but it would be good…

("Enemy" blasts on the PA system as Troy Gafgen walks to the ring, and he steps into the ring.)

JR-Troy Gafgen just regain the IC title, I'm sure he's going to do whatever it takes to keep the title.

King-Well guess the ownership change didn't effect his theme.

Kris Gaffney-At least he's not like Kavaros…

King-That's for sure…

("Revolution" blasts on the PA system as Chris Masters slowly makes his way down to ring side, and over to the announcers desk.)

JR- It looks like were going to be joined by Chris Masters.

King-Or he could just do the whole "I'm on commentary, but I'm not talking deal".

King-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

(We go off the air, as Jarred is laying down on the mat seemly wore out from the match.)

(Note: Staff decision, if there are other opinions out there. Just respect ours as well, I think it's clear that both of these RP's were really close together, and both of the staff members that worked on this agreed that there was nothing in either RP that screamed "I need to win or I need to lose". Which is why I think unless there is a major objection, there will be a rematch at Dark Horizon. I think our decisions are based on small edges. Jarred and Punk were close in focused text with Jarred having a slight edge. Both RP's were quality, thought the way he used the scene in a focused way was very interesting, and had good match and character text to follow it up. (really liked how he used the Heyman scene to make himself the under dog) So that's what our decision is based on.)
