Wilfred E. Cann Award- NJ Coach of the Year
The coach of the 1928 Olympic Wrestling Team in Amsterdam, Pop Cann is considered the Father of Wrestling in New Jersey. He learned to wrestle at Springfield and was the Director of the Elizabeth YMCA where he started the first amateur wrestling team in NJ. He also coached at Rutgers and was one of NJ's first officials.
