Hardy
Boyz vs. T&A
Again the Boyz faced Test and Albert, who were, of course, without their bimbo (sorry, but I can't stand her!) Trish Stratus, whom the Dudley Boyz had powerbombed through a table at Backlash.
Albert tried to overpower Matt, but Matt is a thinking wrestler and managed to squirm out of otherwise nasty predicaments. Albert hefted him high up in the air, but Matt landed on his feet, ran out of the ring and called his opponent to come follow him. Albert gave chase, but Matt slipped over to his corner to tag in brother Jeff. Albert didn't see the exchange, and the Boyz got him in a corner and executed some very nice teamwork against the big man.
As Matt went to his corner, Albert tried to pound Jeff, then lifted him high up, but the agile Hardy Boy landed squarely on his feet. For good measure, he ran over to T&A's corner and nailed Test with a forearm that sent Test to the floor. However, Albert came over and lifted Jeff up as if to powerbomb him. Jeff tried valiantly to turn it into a huracanrana, but Albert was too strong and blocked the maneuver. Albert slammed Jeff back-first to the mat with a wicked powerbomb. As the piercing expert attempted a pin, he got only a two-count, as Matt came in to make the save.
Jeff went over to tag Matt back in, and Albert tagged in Test as well. Test proved to be very useless in the bout, as Matt tricked him twice by pulling him down to the canvas by his hair. He then lifted Matt up over his shoulder in an attempt to sidewalk slam him, but Jeff reached out, grabbing hold of his brother's ankle. However, Test managed to knock Jeff down and slam Matt as Albert tried to get back into the ring. As Test went for the cover, the referee was distracted, trying to get Albert out of the ring. Jeff climbed up top and executed a Swanton Bomb onto the back of Test. Matt rolled over for the cover, and the referee came back in time to count 3 for the Boyz.
Test and
Albert proved once again to be quite the sore losers afterward, as they
tossed Jeff out to the floor and turned the majority of their brutal attention
on poor Matt. Albert swung him over his shoulders and dropped him
in the center of the ring, then Test went up the turnbuckle and nailed
Matt with a big elbow drop. Ouch! On their way out, they kicked
Jeff, who was just getting back to his feet, to the floor again.
