Steve Austin and the WWF are expecting The Rattlesnake back for the Aug. 27 PPV, SummerSlam in Raleigh, N.C. Although he may not be ready for full-time ring action then, Austin has increased the intensity of his workouts the past three weeks and dropped significant weight since his appearance at April's Backlash pay-per-view.
Michael Hayes is helping out writing the scripts for RAW. Hayes is a former member of The Fabulous Freebirds, the belligerent gang that feuded with the Von Erichs in the '80s at the Sportatorium.
- Shawn Michaels is on record saying that he is not going to show up on Raw is War this Monday. However, he may just be saying this to throw the fans off. Everyone has been speculating as to whether or not HBK would show up on Raw, considering he lives only about 30 minutes away from the arena.
- News broke yesterday about Triple H's back injury, but we all know he will still participate in his last man standing match at Fully Loaded vs. Chris Jericho. His injury will obviously have a huge impact on the match, as Jericho is the favorite to win. After Fully Loaded, Triple H will take his vacation time, as he has been on every WWF Telecast since his first WWF Title Reign. During this time, he will recover, and Rock will more than likely drop the World Title to Chris Jericho (who is rumored to be turning heel) before he does to film The Mummy 3.
-The WWF, in an attempt to keep the Rock and Triple H out of separate angles, has "pencilled" in first Chris Benoit and then Kurt Angle into feuds with the People's Champ for most of this summer. It is expected that Angle will be the one to take the title off of the Rock, only to turn around and job it at a later date to Triple H. This would be the culmination of the Angle/Stephanie/Triple H angle that the WWF has been slowly building for several months.
