Within the annals of wrestling history, the Armstrong name has been one of the most prominent throughout the years. The second of four boys, Brad Armstrong has been wrestling for nearly 20 years. As a second-generation competitor, he and his three brothers have spent their whole lives in the business. His father, Bullet Bob, was a big name on the southern wrestling circuits where, on many occasions, Brad teamed up with his dad. His brothers Scott and Steve compete on and off for World Championship Wrestling, and his younger brother Brian currently competes in another organization. Brad started his pro career in 1981, and traveled around the country, working his way up the rankings, while honing his skills. He arrived in the Southeast, holding the tag team titles with his father. From there Brad settled into the Georgia territory, wearing not only the National Tag Team Titles, but the National Heavyweight strap as well. It was at this time that Brad started to shine as a singles competitor. Moving onto the Mid South area, Brad captured, at the time, one of the most prestigious regional titles, the North American Heavyweight Title. Night in and night out, Armstrong defended the gold, while still gaining valuable experience along the way. Eventually, Brad found a home in WCW. In July 1992, Brad defeated Scotty Flamingo A.K.A. Raven to capture the WCW World Light Heavyweight Championship. Although an injury ended his title reign prematurely, after paying his dues for over ten years, Brad had finally become a world champion. He worked for WCW throughout the 90's, briefly donning a mask as Arachnaman, a Spiderman type character. In 1999, Brad became B.A.; one of Master P's No Limit Soldiers, feuding with the West Texas Rednecks. Later in 99, WCW's new creative team told Armstrong that he was a great wrestler, but needed to find a personality. And that's exactly what he did. At the end of the decade, Brad re-emerged on television, only this time it wasn't under his name, but his alter ego, Buzzkill. As Buzzkill, he preached for peace and love, carrying big picket signs and demonstrating his beliefs throughout the WCW crowds. Brad continues to step through the ropes under the Buzzkill guise. Whatever name he decides to use in the ring, one thing is for sure ... Brad, or should I say Buzzkill, has proven to be one of the best and underrated wrestlers the sport has ever seen.
