Long ago, during the witch trials, there lived a witch named Melinda Warren. She was able to move objects with her mind, freeze time and have premonitions of the future. Before she was burned at the stake, she vowed that after seven generations of Warren witches, there would come a time when three sister witches were born. They would each wield one of her powers. Individually they’d show impressive abilities, but when coalesced they’d form the ultimate power of three; the Charmed Ones. Prue and Piper were living in an apartment together after their grandmother had passed away. Eventually, they decided to move back into the house they grew up in, The Manor. A few weeks after, their other sister Phoebe moves back in from New York. Prue and Phoebe have not been the best of sisters do to some jealousy in marital status. On the night of a full moon, Piper and Phoebe are in the living room playing with the old Spirit Board their mother left them. As Piper goes into the kitchen, Phoebe witnesses the board spell out the letters: “A-T-T-I-C.” Piper returns and is not amused by Phoebe’s accusation. Later that night, Phoebe decides to take a trip up to the Attic door( which Prue and Piper had never been able to open). She has luck opening it and she sees a mysteriously glowing chest. She opens it to find an ancient, thick book; The Book of Shadows. She reads on learning of three sister witches who are destined to have these powers. Curious, Phoebe reads an incantation on the first page of the book. Downstairs, the chandelier turns all shades of blue and a photograph of the sisters, who are spaced far apart, move in closer together. As a result, the sisters are left with these powers which are advancing more and more, everyday. Will they be able to handle it and stick together, fighting demons and the forces of evil? Life isn’t so easy when you’re Charmed…
