All right, this site is nothing really spectacular (but hey, it's my first one,
so bear with me...loads of room for improvement *grin*!), and I guess there's
nothing more to expect from someone who's life is dominated only by a few, but all
the more extreme passions.
It's all about quality, not quantity...;o)
And on that platitude, let's go on to something like a bio!
The teacher for the hearing impaired and learning disabled I initially was supposed
to be is struggling for a degree in Marine
Ecology for almost four years now (and
without any bigger catastrophes coming my way, this mission should be accomplished
within the next eight months!). Keeping me from investing the necessary time in my
studies are world-shaking events like the publications of Harry Potter Books
(oh J.K.R., you're going to kill me!) and matches of the VfB Stuttgart
, my favorite
soccer team, as well as the essentials of life, which in my case are worshipping the sea
in which form ever it might bump into me, reading and trying to write fanfiction
(make a wild guess concerning the fandom...) and killing myself doing TaeBo.

SALDANHA, SOUTH AFRICA, SUMMER 2002
As some of you definitely know, I spent a month of field research in Saldanha, South Africa
last summer. We were working on Southern right and humpback whales, counting and tracking
them, we took pictures and skin samples. I had a whale of a time - and if you're interested in

during my stay in South Africa this spring.
I was so lucky to be able to spend two months in Gansbaai at the Western Cape - two months
which were filled with my big passion only: Great White Sharks!
