NEW ONE!!!!ENJOY THE FOOD AND er......SLYTHERIN STUDENTS!

Posted by: Aracely Cortez Jan 8 2004, 08:40 AM
(cool we have a new table..)

Aracely glanced around the table slowly, chatting about Quidditch probably wouldn't be something she was good at, as she'd never really cared much for Quidditch, she didn't understand it all but perhaps it would be fun to listen to.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 8 2004, 01:39 PM
Taylah joins the table quickly, greeting everyone as she does.

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 8 2004, 02:05 PM
*Oasis Elvea smiled and joined the Slytherin table. "Hello. Good morning everyone." She sat down and started eating a apple. "Talking about Quidditch today?"

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 8 2004, 02:08 PM
"Yes," Seb said, looking at the newcomer. "Quidditch. The team needs rebuilding, with the odd newbie here and there. The sign up sheets are in our common room," He told whoever was listening, "And I know for a fact we need a seeker. Maybe a beater or two, it depends on who wishes to return from last season, and god, I hope I get voted captain again. I really did enjoy it."

He grinned.

"Though if I did a good job - its for the old team to say really, isnt it? Do you play?"

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 8 2004, 02:17 PM
"I want to play but Iv never played Quidditch really.. Seen it played but never played myself. Why does the team need to be rebuilt. Most of the other students left or don't want to play? You were probably a great captian." Oasis said chewing on her apple.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 8 2004, 02:42 PM
"Oh, it's not that," Seb told, "Each new season we all try out again. Including myself. It's so the new first years get a chance to be picked too. And yeah I guess not everyone wants to return to the game. For example... Nocturn, and Sierra. They've just been made Prefects, they're also a chaser and a beater. They may find it overwhelming trying to be both. But," He paused for a second, "My Sariss, Cassie, Ally and Cal were on the team last season - they're prefects too."

Seb snorted, "Good lord, my team is being over run by prefects! It doesn't matter if you've never played before, or are not even too sure of the rules," Seb sipped his juice, "We always train before games, practice - see what you can do, or can't do and work on it from there."

The male shrugged, "Gotta learn somehow, you should try out at least. Still unsure after that, just become a reserve."

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 8 2004, 05:53 PM
"The rules say no resurves anymore. I got bored last night and read the rules." Oasis said shrugging. "Anyway Id probably try out but I don't really want to end up in the hospital wing anytime soon." Oasis sat down and started eating some food, she took a large meatless salad and started eating it.

Posted by: Marius Anarchy Jan 8 2004, 06:14 PM
After the sorting Marius walked over to the Slytherin table to get something too eat.

"Hello my fellow Slytherins i`ll just sit over here

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 06:47 PM

Lola walked over to the table and sat down. She looked around the table.
'Hello.'
She gave them a nod and grabbed an apple after one bite she rested her head on her left arm which was lying on the table.
'Does anyone here know anything,.. exciting to do around here.'
She took another bite and swallowed.
'Everything becomes so, ordinary after a while.'

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 8 2004, 06:48 PM
Oasis nodded to the new Slytherin and kept eating her salad quietly.

((In the middle of computer tech class teacher is watching like a hawk.. gotta go!))

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 06:52 PM
Sly decided he should sit at his house table today. Perhaps he'd meet a few of his housemates, maybe one would know about the Quidditch applications.

He walked over and sat down in a seat at the middle of the table, and glanced around slowly. There were a few others at the table that he didn't recognize. He nodded slightly to them, saying, "Hello."

Posted by: Anastasia Nicolaievna Romanov Jan 8 2004, 06:58 PM
Having just been sorted into Slytherin Anastasia walks to the table and sits down very daintly. Looking at the new faces around her she says, "Hello, I'm Anastasia Romanov."

Picking up an apple she sits quietly eating while waiting for the others to introduce themselves.

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 06:58 PM
Sierra blinked suddenly, realising that she had somehow managed to completely zone out of all of the various conversations going on around her, only coming back to the world of the living as she heard the word Quidditch. It had almost been like falling asleep with her eyes open, and so many people had come and gone that it was rather like she was at a whole new table. (Hehe)

Deciding to catch up on the names of the first years at the table later, the Slytherin turned towards Seb and smiled. "You know, I think you might be Captain of the team again this year. You did pretty well last time, didn't you? As for me, I'd love the chance to be a beater again... What's more fun than hitting potentially lethal balls at people's heads?"

And leaving it at that, Sierra leaned forwards and picked up a jug of water, pouring some into a glass then taking a sip. As another two people sat down at the table and both spoke, she looked up. "Hi there, I'm Sierra." She took another gulp of water then, after wiping her mouth, put the glass down. "Sierra Lucas."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:03 PM

'Lola Giviannia.'
She nodded to the girl.
(Quidditch tryout sheet are on the train forum thingy)
Lola took a bite of her apple.
She nodded to the all.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 07:04 PM
Sly looked up at his fellow first years that spoke and an older Slytherin, a Prefect a couple seats away. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Sly Acres," he stated, picking up a pot of coffee and pulling an empty mug towards himself. He filled it with the steaming liquid then reached for a small packet of sugar in a bowl next to him.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:06 PM

Lola smiled to him as she finished her apple and reched over for an orange.
'Right back at ya'
Lola said with her irish accent as she pulled her black hair from her face and started to unpell the ornage.

Posted by: Anastasia Nicolaievna Romanov Jan 8 2004, 07:11 PM
Holding a hand out to Sierra as she introduced herself Anastsia says, "Its a pleasure to meet you I am sure."

She nodded in greeting to the other first years she says, "Nice to meet you."

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 07:15 PM
Sly opened the packet, smiling slightly at Lola. He loved girls with accents. It was so appealing, no matter what it was. "You have a beautiful accent, Lola."

He emptied the packet of sugar into the mug, then pulled a small pack of cocoa that he'd gotten from Fall out of his pocket. He tore off the end, and poured in half of the brown powder before folding the top down and returning it to his slacks pocket. He reached for the jug of white milk in front of it, unscrewed the lid, and poured a bit into the coffee before recapping it and putting it back on the table.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:18 PM

'Nobody has ever said that to me.'
Lola said as she could feel a beam-er coming on.
(slang for face going red aka blushing)
She watched as he poured the milk in.
She pulled back her black hair with green streaks to not look like a depressed Lola. Lola smiled.

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 07:21 PM
Okay, so Anastasia, Sly, Lola... Right. Sierra thought as she matched each name to the face, filing that information away in her head for another time and hoping that she'd remember their names later. As the girl who had introduced herself to the table held out her hand to Sierra, both of the Slytherin's eyebrows raised slightly in surprise before she caught herself and smiled at her.

"Likewise." Sierra replied, stretching out her arm and gripping the girl's hand in a firm handshake. "Welcome to Slytherin, by the way. That goes to all of you." She said as she released Anastasia's hand and looked at the other two first years at the table, picking up her glass of water again as she did so.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 8 2004, 07:24 PM
"Taylah." Taylah reaches out her hand to shake Sierra's, giving her another name to add to the list she had to remember.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:25 PM

'I'm glad I got into Slytherin, all my father side were in slytherin. Mum came from beauxbatons, I never go a letter to go there.'
Lola paused she never understood why.
'I've heard of girl getting piercings done here. Just some gossip but I would like a piercing, I'm not sure lip or eyebrow?'

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 07:26 PM
Artemis walked over and saw a mass of students.
He picked up his book and Some toast.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:28 PM

'Hey Artemis, feeling any better?'
Lola asked honestly.

Posted by: Janet Jan 8 2004, 07:28 PM
Janet walks up to the table, perching herself at the edge of a seat. She can't stay too long, but she nods at all her fellow Slytherins and tucks an apple and a few cookies away. Overhearing the conversation, Janet grins. "Lip piercing would be gorgeous, I think. Well, I have to be off again, I have to go run a few more errands in Hogsmeade, see you all later!" She stands up and waves before rushing off again.

((Darn, my free hour is up in the computer lab...stupid high school getting into my RP time again tongue.gif ))

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 07:30 PM
"My nose made a full recovery Thankfully" said artemis looking down at his book.
"O Sierra congratulations on becoming a prefect" He said looking up.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 07:31 PM
'Nobody has ever said that to me.'

"Can't see why not," Sly said quietly, stirring his coffee absentmindly with a spoon. After a few stirs, he took the spoon out and laid it on a napkin, then raised his mug to drink deeply from it. The cocoa made him think of home, before he left. He put the drink down after a moment.

"Thank you," he said, nodding to Sierra. "I'm glad I was sorted here."

He looked up at the mention of Beauxbatons. He had been considering going there, but after a while, when he heard what his mother told him about, he decided against it. He was happy with his decision to come to Hogwarts.

"Hello," he said to the second year boy and the first year girl that joined the table.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 07:33 PM
"Yes, hello" said artemis looking up at the boy who had said hello in the first place.
Flipping the page artemis turned back to his book.
Picking up a piece of choclate.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 8 2004, 07:33 PM
"Lola, I think your piercings would probably get you into trouble... so if I were you I'd get one!" Taylah grinned. "My friend Raven in Hufflepuff has her tongue pierced..." She thought aloud.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:34 PM

'Don't know why.'
Lola said as she finished her orange.
(Going healthy laugh.gif )
She grabbed a cookie
(I knew it wouldn't last)
'Lip piercing, I always wanted one. It would have been my first choice.'
Lola bit her lip.
'My parents let me get a tatoo, well they didn't it was more of my older brothers handywork with a wand.'

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 07:35 PM
"Piercing .. horrid things i have a tatto of a snake on my arm but every male slyhterin in my faimly has one" Artemis remarked as he looked up .
"By the way im Artemis Snide" he said .

Posted by: Aurelia Jan 8 2004, 07:36 PM
Another day, another reluctant visit to the dining room-- a generous name for the noisy and chaotic room where food flew at students' whim and where teachers did not bother to excert their authority.

With a slight expression that might have been a smile of greeting, Aurelia slipped onto a seat at the far end of the table and immediately plunked a bowl of strawberries into her plate. She blinked and rolled her eyes as the voices of the students drifted towards her chair and she heard some of the conversations. Piercings? Idiot Muggle things...

Posted by: Anastasia Nicolaievna Romanov Jan 8 2004, 07:37 PM
As Sierra released her hand Ananstasia looked at all of those around her. Thinking to herself I'm going to have to get use to all of these people. I'm not accustomed to being surrounded by so many people. Especially not people I do not know. Just breath and remember who you are and what is expected of you.

Speaking to no one specific Ana says, "Does anyone know when the classes will start up? I would also like to join the dueling club, how would I do that?"

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:37 PM
Lola listened.
'I have a tatoo of a celtic star on my back with two small ones one either side.'
She bit the cookie. After finishing the bite she said.
'Piercing aren't horrible I think they look nice, if there not overworked or overdone.'

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 07:38 PM
Sierra was almost getting dizzy at the rate that names were flying around and people were arriving then leaving--first years had so much energy it was alarming. After a pause and a deep intake of air to collect her composure, Sierra grasped Taylah's hand and nodded to her, putting that name away too.

A familiar person sat down just as the Slytherin let go of the first year's hand and she tilted her head then grinned at them. "Artemis, hi! It's been ages since I last saw you, how have you been? And thanks."

Nodding slightly with a smile to the young girl who sat down at the table then abruptly got up and left again, saying something about Hogsmeade, Sierra sat back and let her breath out in a big whoosh again. At the mention of piercings, she looked up. "Oh, you won't get in trouble for having a piercing... Quite a few people have them."

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 07:43 PM
Sly found it a little hard to keep up with the many conversations that were flying around at the table. Piercings, names, tattoos...he wasn't sure if he should jump in or not.

At the mention of tattoos, his eyes automatically dropped down to look at his right arm. His sleeves was rolled up to his elbows, showing the white dragon tattoo on his forearm. He turned his attention back to the growing group at the table, taking another drink of coffee, nodding to those who'd just joined.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 07:44 PM
"Well i went to france and brought back french sweets for everybody .. " he then paused.
"Then i realised i was being charming and im just handing them out to people that rember me"
Sniggered artemis.
"You definatly changed since i last saw you"

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:45 PM

Lola soon noticed Sly's tatoo.
'Ohh, that's a good one. I can't show mine. It it unmannerly to do it at a table.'
She remember the time her mother took her into the ladies toilets and told her that with a harsh tone.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 07:47 PM
Sly nodded at Lola. "Brothers did it for me." He grinned slightly at her last statement then quickly wiped that off his face. "Ah, I see..."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:49 PM

'No. Its on my lower back, very wierd story of how I got it, very simple too.'
Lola watched him hiding a smile.

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 07:51 PM
"You went to France?" Sierra asked, arching an eyebrow at Artemis. "You just...up and left for France? Heh, well, I hope I'll be getting some of those sweets." She added, lifting the half-filled glass of water to her lips to soothe her rather dry and increasingly sore throat.

Placing the now empty glass back down onto the solid wood of the table, Sierra rubbed her head with a pale hand then sighed, looking over at the first years who were now busy talking about tattoos. As Anastasia asked a question, she glanced at her.

"I believe that the classes will be starting pretty soon so I would advise that you just enjoy the free time you have now. It's nice to have something to do but once you're properly into the term, you'll be wishing you didn't have to do it all. There's quite a lot, unfortunately."

Sierra paused, thinking. "You'll be able to join the dueling club once the sign-up sheets have been placed in there again, which will be sometime soon hopefully."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 07:52 PM

Lola frowned at this.
'Do we have to attend all classes?'

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 07:54 PM
"Oh, I have one on my back, as well," Sly said, taking a quick drink. "White tiger near my neck."

He heard Sierra's answer to the question about classes. He was looking forward to Potions. It was such a fascinating art, and potions could be used for just about anything.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 07:54 PM
"My parents took me " he grumbled.
then looking in his bag he pulled out a big ball wrapped in shinny green paper.
"They are massive jaw breakers ?" he said handing her one.

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 07:58 PM
"Ooh, thank you." Sierra said happily, taking the paper-wrapped ball from Artemis and placing it carefully down on the table in front of her. "I'll save it for later, I'd rather not have my mouth stuffed full with a jaw breaker right in the middle of rush hour in the Great Hall."

Rolling the sweet around with her hand absently, Sierra looked over at Lola and smiled. "Nobody can exactly make you go to the lessons but some teachers will take away points if you don't attend. Losing points that way can get some people rather annoyed with you so I'd recommend avoiding it." She replied, the smile widening. "Just do your best with the classes and you'll be fine."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:00 PM

Lola looked at the massive shiny green jawbreaker. She had only seen bigger in magizines, but she had one a little bit smaller it took her 3 day to eat it.
(It really did.)
Lola looked at Sly
'Can you pierce my lip for me? Or do you know who can?'

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 08:00 PM
"So what did i miss ?" asked artemis.
"And you know that book i lent you when we were unsorted ? Well i have the other 2 books" he said smilling.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:02 PM
Sly chuckled slightly. "Believe me, you wouldn't want me to try and pierce it for you, love. You'd wouldn't end up with a hole in your lip. I don't know anyone who can help you, sorry."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:04 PM

'Getting a hole in my lip is the whole point.'
She smiled at him.
'What classes do you think you'll be good at?'
She put an arm out on the table as one reached out for a glass of water.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:06 PM
"Yes, but I don't really have much of a steady hand when it comes to that stuff," Sly said, with a slight shrug. "I get nervous and try to do it too fast. I'd probably end up sticking you in your chin or nose. Probably Potions and Flying. What about you?"

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 8 2004, 08:10 PM
Rhysenn entered the Great Hall and headed for the Slytherin table. Much to her dismay the table was quite crowded. She recognized several of the people from the train, people she didn't exactly care to socialize with at the moment.

Much more to her disliking, Aurelia, the not so friendly girl from last night, sat futher down the table. Rhysenn decided to take her chances and placed herself across the table from her. She poured herself a glass of water and placed an apple on the plate in front of her.

"Hello," she said dryly, wondering if Aurelia would even acknowledge her.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 08:16 PM
"Hello" said artemis acknowledging (Sp?) the girls present.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:20 PM

Lola laughed at Sly. He didn't seem a nervous type.
Potions and.... flying too. My dad is working with the irish quidditch team, I got a top wich has been signed by all of them. It's brilliant! But my guitar is gold to me.

Posted by: Aurelia Jan 8 2004, 08:20 PM
The only good thing about the inane conversation was that she was not being forced to participate in it. Her good luck was not to hold, she realized with a sigh as Rhysenn, the girl determined to make her friendship, sat beside her.

Wiping strawberry juice from her slender fingers, Aurelia smiled tightly at the girl. "Hello." Hoping against common sense that the girl would be satisfied with that, she shifted slightly away from her and turned back to her fruit, a tiny flicker of wry amusement tugging at the corner of her mouth as she was reminded of the night before.

She immediately looked up again, startled as she heard what seemed a familiar voice. It couldn't be...and yet, she had been told that she was in Hogwarts. "Sierra?" she asked incredulously, interrupting the girl's conversation.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:24 PM
"Sounds interesting," Sly agreed. "I'm interested in Quidditch. A fine sport. I can play the flute a little and I like to sing occasionally, but that is the extent of my musical talents."

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 8 2004, 08:30 PM
Clearly the girl had no interest in speaking any more than she had to, so Rhysenn refrained from saying anything more. She sliced her apple into little parts before rummaging through her black suede bag for her notebook and a quill.

She listened idly to the conversation at the other end of table. Talk about Quidditch and classes, nothing that Rhysenn had interest in right that second. She scribbled a few things in her book, occasionally looking up at Aurelia and the others.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:31 PM

'I know I won't be good at dueling.'
Lola said thinking of seing him play the flute.
'I am more a contact fighter.'
She though of him singing, she smiled a bit.
'I sing, and play drums and guitar, my guitar has been signed by Chester. It up safely in my dorm.'

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 08:35 PM
Sierra looked woefully at her empty glass, wishing that she could be bothered to fill it up again but not quite having the energy to do so, as it was just so complicated to pick up the jug of water that was now a little way down the table. However much she wanted more of the drink, she could not bring herself to actually get up and get some.

"I knew I should have gone for the damn shower charm instead of the shocking hex..." The Slytherin grumbled to herself, prodding at the glass sullenly. "Who needs electricity when you can have water? Urgh." Sierra continued muttering under her breath to herself until she heard someone saying her name.

"Hm?" Sierra said, looking up and around for the source of the voice. Her gaze landed on a new Slytherin sitting a few seats away, who was currently staring at her. "Yes?" She paused, watching the girl, then blinked. She looked rather familiar... So familiar, in fact, that it rather bugged her.

After a moment of thinking, it came to her suddenly. "Aurelia!" Sierra exclaimed, almost knocking over the thankfully empty glass in her surprise. "What are you doing here? I didn't know you were coming to Hogwarts!"

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:36 PM
Pretty much the only reason Sly liked to sing was because he was told he had a fantastic singing voice. Besides, it was a nice, romantic quality. Maybe not to everyone, but Fall obviously thought so.

"I don't think I'd be great at dueling, but it wouldn't hurt to try," he said, setting down his empty mug and leaning back in his chair. "What is your opinion on Muggle sports? Some seem just a little barbaric to me."

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 08:37 PM
"Sierra ?" asked artemis .
He gave up and placed in her hands the sqequal to pure dead magic .
It was called Pure Dead Wicked and it was red and shiny.

Posted by: Anastasia Nicolaievna Romanov Jan 8 2004, 08:38 PM
Anastasia was trying to keep her haughtier side down. However when the talk turned to tatoos she looked downright petrified and disgusted. Petrified because she hated needles and disgusted because when she thinks of tatoos she thinks of the man at the circus who was completely covered in tatoos Almost chocking she says, "Why would you want to get a tatoo?"

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:39 PM

'I grew up into a muggle town, I had muggle friends. They aren't barbaric. I like playing football and Irish sports that you would never understand.'
Lola smiled
'Romantic voice? I'll have to hear it sometimes. Even though I prefer that gravely voice, strange it may seem but this is me.'

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:42 PM
"Meh," Sly whispered, "sorry, but I just don't see those sports in that light." He raised an eyebrow slightly. "I never said anything about having a romantic voice."

He turned to the girl who asked about tattoos and shrugged slightly. "Symbolism (sp?)."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:44 PM

Lola looked him in the eye and shrugged.
'Tatoo are good if there not overdone and he's right symbolism, like it shows apart of you're life.'
Lola looked about
'Caramel square!'
Lola snatched it and put it on her plate with a very big smile. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Aurelia Jan 8 2004, 08:48 PM
Sierra looked up sharply when she called her, her intensely colored eyes widening in recognition. Aurelia smiled and tucked an escaped tendril of hair behind her ear, then gave a barely perceptible wince as the glass was knocked over. "Neither did I. Mamá told me you were in Slytherin though, and that you'd just been made a prefect. Congratulations."

She hardly remembered her cousin, having met her only a few times in her old home in Madrid, but as she looked at the girl now, she couldn't help but notice how the skinny girl with different colored eyes had become a poised and mature prefect. It was a marked difference from the girl she had spent summers playing with; Slytherin had done wonders for her, she noted shrewdly.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:50 PM
Sly stretched his arm, bending back a little. "It's just a form of expression that people like to use."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:53 PM

Lola looked at him.
'How are muggle sports so, barbaric?'
Lola nibbled on the caramel square.
'Surely there much more safer.'

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 08:56 PM
Sly sighed. "Well, it's hard to explain really. I just don't understand the sports like you do, lets put it that way."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 08:57 PM

Lola nodded, she didn't want to start a fight with Sly.
She bit her caramel square. Humming a song.

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 09:01 PM
Sierra nodded slightly, still looking rather surprised at seeing her cousin after such a long time. She was all grown up now... Well, almost. "Thanks... Oh, that reminds me, I haven't even told my parents yet. I wonder if the school sent them a message or something?" She trailed off, thinking about that.

"Uh, anyway." The Slytherin gave a shrug of her slender shoulders. "Well done on getting into Slytherin, by the way. Did you parents want you to be here or Ravenclaw?" She didn't bother mentioning Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, as that was just pointless when talking about this particular girl's parents. "My dad wanted me in Ravenclaw and was quite disappointed when I didn't get it... Mum was happy about Slytherin, though."

Sierra stopped talking abruptly and looked down as a book was placed carefully in her hands, realising that she hadn't even bothered to reply to Artemis about the books. She fought the urge to smack herself in the head for being so rude and instead put the new book down on the table, running her fingers over the red, shiny surface.

"Thanks, Artemis." She said, smiling. "I'll read it as soon as I have some peace and quiet in the dorms."

Hearing two first years talking about muggle sports, Sierra turned her head slightly and fixed Lola with a look. "Muggles have a tendency to make even the simplest of things barbaric..." She said softly, hands still resting on the book.

Posted by: Sly Acres Jan 8 2004, 09:04 PM
Sly listened to Sierra's view on Muggle sports quietly, with his hands resting on his stomach. His blue eyes swiveled over to Lola.

Posted by: Aurelia Jan 8 2004, 09:07 PM
"After Rafael got into Slytherin, there really wasn't much question of where I'd be put," Aurelia said with a slight shrug, clasping her hands under the table. "I'm sure Tío Nathan will get over his disappointment when he hears about your new...position."

She sank into silence then, as her cousin turned her attention elsewhere and lifted another strawberry into her mouth, vaguely thinking that her Ravenclaw father would also be crushed when he heard that another of his children was sorted into the House of the Serpent, as he called it.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 09:12 PM

'Yeah, true. Mainly the pressure they get from people. And they think they are to high and mighty that they can get away with it, some are pure accidents..'
Lola remembered when playing an irish sport a girl ended up with a broken nose and another had broken her leg, the male version of the sport, the got worse.
She finished her caramel square hoping for another one to pop up soon. unsure.gif

"Either world, magical or Muggle, sports are equally dangerous. Then again, Bludgers basically have minds of their own, and a hidden mind is a dangerous one. Oh well," Sly got to his feet. "I must be off. Nice meeting you all."

He turned and walked along the side of the table. He picked up a chocolate doughnut at the end of the table before walking out.

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 09:20 PM
Sierra turned her attention fully to Aurelia, now tapping her hands on the book in a quiet, rhythmic beat. "That's what I was hoping. Also, he's had the whole year to get over the fact that I'm not a Ravenclaw so I'm sure he's fine with it now... Well, I hope he is, anyway. Maybe he'll be so distracted by my being a Prefect that he'll just forget?"

That just sounded stupid, Sierra had to admit. The chances of her father just forgetting something like that were slim to none. He hadn't been a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts for nothing, after all. She shrugged again, stopping the tapping as it was probably rather annoying to the others at the table.

"How are Aunt Isabel and Uncle Matthew, anyway? I haven't seen them for the longest time..."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 8 2004, 09:20 PM

Lola had noticed that she had mainly talked to Sly the whole time here.
'I better go.'
She said to the other faces.
'Guitar's callling me.'
She walked briskly and soon had left the hall.

Posted by: Aurelia Jan 8 2004, 09:31 PM
"Mamá and Papá are fine; I assume your parents are also doing okay," Aurelia responded as she swallowed the plump fruit, ignoring the two students that had just left the table. The amber eyed girl smiled as she fondly remembered her younger cousin. "And Alex, how is he? You haven't been setting his hair on fire again, have you?"

Posted by: Sierra Lucas Jan 8 2004, 09:47 PM
Sierra nodded at that, beginning to tap just one finger on the book. "My parents are both, as far as I know, fine, yes. And you know, I set Alex's hair on fire by accident, I mean, you don't think I would do such a thing intentionally, do you? ...Don't answer that. Anyway, as long as he has stayed out of my room while I've been gone, there's no need to do anything to him. Yet."

Sierra lifted a pale hand to cover a yawn then stretched her arms out over her head, looking over at Aurelia. "You know what, I think I'm going to go back to the common room for a little while. I'm so tired, I just want to sit down on a comfortable chair for a while, or maybe even my bed."

Standing up, the Slytherin picked up the book and carefully stepped over the bench. "I'll see you later, Aurelia. Thanks again for the book, Artemis!" Sierra said, nodding to the both of them and the others remaining at the table. "Bye!" She called over her shoulder as she walked off, going through the doors of the Great Hall and heading off towards the dungeons.

Posted by: Aurelia Jan 8 2004, 09:52 PM
Her cousins' ongoing rivalry had been a constant souce of amusement for Aurelia in the brief times they'd spent together. She hardly doubted that her brown haired cousin would not hesitate in burning her brother's scalp off again.

"Goodbye," she murmured after the older girl, finishing her strawberries and leaving herself without the least gesture to the other people at the table.

Posted by: Anastasia Nicolaievna Romanov Jan 8 2004, 10:04 PM
Ana finished her apple and got up from the table and headed out of the Great Hall.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 8 2004, 10:06 PM
"Okay" said artemis smilling and turning back to her book.

Posted by: Marlie Jan 8 2004, 10:32 PM
Marlie slid through the closing doors to the Great Hall and made a beeline for the Slytherin table, pushing her hair from her face.
"Hi Artemis...how are you?" Marlie smiled lightly before sliding on to the bench opposite from him and reaching forward for an apple then picking at it

QUOTE (Lola Giviannia @ Jan 8 2004, 06:03 PM)
'Lola Giviannia.'
She nodded to the girl.
(Quidditch tryout sheet are on the train forum thingy)
Lola took a bite of her apple.
She nodded to the all.

(Actually Lola, if they haven't posted their application form there already, I would much rather they post in the one in Slytherin Common room, once they can get in.)

"So, uh," he was surounded by newbies. "Met any interesting people? You want to watch out for Peeves. Really, he doesn't care WHO he picks on. And it's usually at this table." He paused for a moment, "It would be wise to learn a cleaning spell. Really wise."

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 8 2004, 10:45 PM
"Wise...so I've heard." Rhysenn spoke up, barely looking up from her random scribblings, refering to the comment about cleaning spells.

"And there are plently of...interesting people around here. Thankfully however, they've all scampered away."

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 8 2004, 10:47 PM
"Was that an insult? Saying I'm not interesting?" He asked the newbie as she rudely doodled while talking to him. Politeness. Maybe she didn't have it. Who knew.

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 8 2004, 11:05 PM
"I wasn't implying that at all," Rhysenn said, looking up. "A lot of my er...fellow first years are a bit...loud. Obnoxious. Annoying."

Rhysenn closed her notebook, looking around the Hall. She half expected Kimmy to wander up considering she was practically describing her.

Posted by: Aracely Cortez Jan 8 2004, 11:08 PM
Aracely vaguely wondered if Rhysenn was talking about her, but said nothing. She didn't particularly care if she was or not.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:03 AM
Janet slides into the seat next to Aracely, Rhysenn scribbling across the table and an older boy was talking to her.
"Hey," She says, a bit tired out from her errands. "How goes the day of my fellow Slytherins?"

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 12:06 AM
"Hello," Seb greeted the newbie as she sat down. "The name's Seb. You? I don't think we've been introduced yet?"

He decided he would wait for her name at least, before asking her if she liked quidditch.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:08 AM
"Oh, I'm Janet Magsley. Pleasure to meet you!" Janet replies, smiling a bit. She was glad to find someone to converse with.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 12:10 AM
"Janet, right. I'll probably forget that. It happens - too many new people. So," Seb said, "Do you play quidditch?" It seemed like he had this question on repeat, but he had to get more recruits. The earlier, the better.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:12 AM
Janet squeals, something she rarely ever does. "Ooooo Quidditch! I love Quidditch! I'm hoping to play, but the rulebook seems very...difficult! I would play any position, really."

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 12:21 AM
"Hello, Janet." Rhysenn said slowly. Talk of Quidditch sparked a bit of interest in Rhysenn. She shoved her notebook back into her bag, turning her attention to the conversation.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:24 AM
Janet smiled a bit, noticing Rhysenn had an interest in Quidditch as well. Perhaps she could make friends with Rhysenn...it all depended. "Hello again Rhysenn. What position are you interested in in Quidditch?"

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 12:33 AM
"I'm not sure, it all depends really. Seeker maybe. I'd just like to play." Rhysenn nodded thoughtfully. "What about you?" She hadn't meant to ask. She wasn't one for bagdering others with questions. She normally just waited until they offered up the information.

Posted by: Aracely Cortez Jan 9 2004, 12:35 AM
Aracely listened without saying anything, they all seemed to want to play Quidditch, she didn't understand Quidditch so she thought maybe that was why she had no big interest in it. Her father had said that sports were silly and she should spend her time worrying about other things, but perhaps he was wrong.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 12:37 AM
Seb listened as the two spoke. They we possibly in need of a new seeker. He wondered how quick this Rhysenn girl was on a broom. He waited until his turn to speak.

"Any of you played before? We're going to be holding tryouts. You could try a few positions..." Seb trailed off.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:38 AM
"Hmm...Beater sounds appealing to me, but, same here, I just want to play." Janet absentmindedly tucked a loose strand of brown curly hair behind her ear. "I wonder, do they supply us with brooms, or do we have to buy them ourselves to play? I would love a broom, but unfortunately we have to buy school supplies first." Janet sighed and rolled her eyes. Janet heard Seb ask if they had played before. "I haven't played before, but I have flown around on my father's antique broom and I love beating things."

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 12:40 AM
Seb turned to Janet, "Well you could ask me, Captain rriigghht here.." he waved his hands in front of her face for effect. "They"? He'd never been called a they before.

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 12:41 AM
"Not offically...I went to an all girls school before...no quidditch, or anything, there for that matter. My brother and cousin used to make me play with them while they practised," Rhysenn explained.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:43 AM
"An all girls' school? Ugh, I wouldn't survive." Janet sympathized. She laughed at Seb, then asked him,"Well, Mr. Quidditch captain, are we supplied with brooms? If...we make the team that is."

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 12:47 AM
"Well," Seb began, grinning, "It all depends. Firstly, you can't get a broom or be on the team unless you have all items. But i'm sure you can get them all somehow before a game," He tapped his nose, "Some of us bought our brooms, but we all end up with a broom somehow."

Seb's eyes twinkled as he knew more, but wouldn't let on. "So don't let the broom part of it stop you neither."

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 12:50 AM
Janet bit her lip in amusement as Seb explained about the brooms. Ahh, how sneaky it was he wouldn't let them know any more than needed, but perhaps that was one of the reasons he was in Slytherin. "Oh, thats good news! I would try to fly on an old mop if I had to, I love Quidditch."

Posted by: Cyric Daggon Jan 9 2004, 01:01 AM
Cyric slipped into the Great Hall from the corridor near the Entrance and moved towards the Green and Silver garnished Slytherin table. He place himself in a seat, blankly looking around.

His usual unsocial self, Cyric said nothing to those around him. He grimly looked around, his eyes scanning those around him. He picked up a small vine section of grapes, and systematically popped them into his mouth.

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 01:11 AM
"Hello, Cyric." Rhysenn said to the boy as he sat down. "Nice seeing you." She didn't expect a response.

Posted by: Aracely Cortez Jan 9 2004, 01:16 AM
Aracely watched as a boy joined the table, he didn't look interested in conversing with anyone so she said nothing. Glancing around her mind wandered to the letter she had started to her parents. She wasn't planning to send it until she had something to actually say to them, her father would be proud but he'd also say it was a waste of time to owl him when she hadn't even started classes.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 01:47 AM
Janet nibbles at a cookie as a sullen looking boy sat down. She nodded in hello, but didn't think he was going to say anything. "Hmm...so has everyone bought their supplies for school yet? I wasn't sure of which textbooks to buy, should I buy them all?" Janet tried to start a conversation again. She hoped she wasn't bothering her fellow Slytherins too much, they were her Housemates after all.

Posted by: Cyric Daggon Jan 9 2004, 01:52 AM
Cyric leaned over, supporting his weight with his elbows on the table. Without looking at the girl, he muttered sardonically, "did you read your letter?" He continued mechanically eating grapes, looking around occasionally at the others.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 02:06 AM
"Well, of course I did," Janet snipped a little, getting the impression that he thought she hadn't paid attention to details. "I was wondering if we buy them per semester or just all at once, that's all."

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 02:10 AM
Rhysenn raised an eyebrow, noting that Cyric could be quite mouthy when provoked.

"I don't intend buying my books until I know which classes we're taking first semester. That way I can save money."

Posted by: Cyric Daggon Jan 9 2004, 02:15 AM
Cyric leaned back in his chair again, and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He hadn't thought about how often you need to buy books. Just once I'm sure...

Cyric turned and looked to Rhysenn, and nodded. "I did that with my robes." Turned out to be a good idea...

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 02:20 AM
"It would be best if you can buy them all in bulk." Seb said, joining back in. "You need all your books no matter what classes you take this term."

((Buy once, use always - no items - no pet/broom))

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 02:20 AM
"I just wish these school supplies didn't cost so bloody much," Janet replied. She had been given money for her school supplies, but with the amount of items needed, she constantly worried about if she had enough to buy them all. She could go without sweets, and the extras. She was going to save all her money for a broom next. "Welcome back, Seb."

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 02:36 AM
Taylah comes back into the Hall and sits down at the table.
"Hey everybody, how's it goin?"

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 02:44 AM
"Well," Seb said, "If your birthday comes soon - you never know what you might get!"

The male picked up a part of pineapple off his plate, grinning to himself as he ate it. The newbies would soon get to know about his weird obsession with the fruit, and even come to find it normal. Until then....

"Hello, uh, new person."

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 02:54 AM
"I'm Taylah." Taylah stuck out her hand to the boy in front of her.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 02:56 AM
Seb wiped the pineapple juice off his hand with a napkin before taking her's to shake. "Seb," He replied. "You alright? Getting around ok?"

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 02:58 AM
Taylah nods as she reaches for some food. "Yeh, I think so!"

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 03:08 AM
Janet grinned as Seb ate the pineapple. He was quite entertaining. A girl walks to the table and sits down, and introduces herself to Seb as Taylah.
"Hello Taylah," Janet smiles. "Welcome to Slytherin House. I'm Janet. Did you just get sorted as well?"
((OOC-Thanks Seb! Yup, I have to get all my school supplies first...ugh >_< But they are important biggrin.gif ))

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 03:32 AM
Rhysenn nodded at Taylah. "I'm Rhysenn." Staring blankly at the pineapple on Seb's plate, she got the weird urge for some of her own, so she plunked some on her plate and began to eat slowly.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 03:33 AM
"Hi Janet, Rhysenn," Taylah smiles. "Yep, I'm so glad I got in here."

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 03:44 AM
"Glad? I suppose I share that sentiment. It was Slytherin or be disowned." Rhysenn smiled weakly. She still needed to owl her family about her and Brandon's sorting.

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 9 2004, 03:47 AM
*Oasis Elvea joined the Slytherin table again. "Good afternoon everyone? So hows your day been?" She asked everyone.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 03:48 AM
"Exactly the same here. My father would have pulled my insides out if I hadn't of been sorted into here. If I had been put into Hufflepuff..." Taylah shivered to think. "Anyway, thankfully, I'm here."

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 03:49 AM
"How's it going Oasis?" Taylah greeted.

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 9 2004, 03:51 AM
Oasis raised a white eyebrow at the girl who said her father would rip her insides out, sounded alot like her mother. "Great, you? I take it your all talking about how our parents would kill us if we got sorted into another house?"

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 03:53 AM
Taylah nodded. "Yes. T'would be very ugly."

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 04:01 AM
Janet shudders. "Oy, sounds a bit...gory," She nodded. "My parents didn't really say what they wanted me in, but they are delighted that I got into Slytherin. I am as well." She grins at Oasis. "Welcome back, dear friend!"

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 04:02 AM
"I doubt my father would murder me. Disown me most definently, cast me out to survive on my own. Stripe me of my last name..." Rhysenn quieted quickly realizing she was babbling.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 04:07 AM
"It sounds close enough," Taylah replied. "I'm not exactly sure which would be worse..." She pondered.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 04:09 AM
"Well then, let us be grateful the Sorting Hat put you where you belonged." Janet smiled. She picked up a muffin and bit from it.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 04:14 AM
"Yes." Taylah nodded and eyed the muffin in Janet's hand. It looked too good, she had to have one.
"I hope we get into the common room soon!" She exclaimed.

Posted by: Rhysenn Nott Jan 9 2004, 04:14 AM
Rhysenn nodded slowly. "Well, I must be going...see you all around." Rhysenn stood up, smoothing her skirt. She gathered her things and left the Hall.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 04:16 AM
"Bye Rhysenn," Janet said, as the girl left. Turning to Taylah, she nodded. "I know exactly how you feel! I'm so anxious. I can't wait to meet the scads more other Slytherins we will meet there!" Clearing her throat, she felt time to bring up her favorite subject again. "Do you like Quidditch?"

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 04:24 AM
Taylah also says goodbye to Rhysenn, then turns to Janet.
"I've never really had much to do with Quidditch.."

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 04:27 AM
"Hmmm, alright then," Janet nods, thinking of something else to talk about. "What country are you from? I'm from London, England, where my father runs a potions supply store on Diagon Alley."

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 04:32 AM
"I'm from Australia, my parents came over here to send me to a school here."

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 9 2004, 04:49 AM
"I was born in Scottland but I moved to Canada later on then my old man died and we moved here to London. Sucks accually I liked it in Canada." Oasis said looking around the table.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 05:07 AM
"Really? Those sound like fascinating places." Janet smiled. "Yum, caramel apples!" Janet delighted, seeing a platter aways down the table. She grabbed one and began to eat.

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 9 2004, 05:09 AM
Oasis smiled and took a caramel apple and started eating one.

Posted by: Taylah Katina Jan 9 2004, 05:18 AM
"Well, it was fun chatting with you, but I must be off." Taylah stands up and waves at everyone before leaving.

(ooc: gotta go to work : \ see yahs!)

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 9 2004, 05:19 AM
Oasis waved goodbye to Taylah.

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 05:20 AM
(ooc: whoops, new table... hehe... *continues where the old one left off for her*)

Sariss giggled and blushed when Seb winked at her and prodded her in the arm.

While he reached for some fruit, Sariss poured some orange juice into her empty goblet and then put some muesli into her bowl. She cut a banana into slices and put them on top. In the end, she poured some milk over it all. That was what she called a really delicious breakfast. (ooc: Needed a timeframe here LOL)

Chocolate-free too. It seemed that ever since she was with Seb, she had found an extremely lovely replacement for those tons of Honeydukes chocolate that she'd gobbled before that.

"So what are your plans for today, Seb?" she asked over the hustle-bustle of the first-years and sipped her orange juice, looking at her boyfriend over the rim of the goblet.

Posted by: Aracely Cortez Jan 9 2004, 09:16 AM
Aracely watched as students came and went, it seemed like all she'd done since being sorted was sit at the Slytherin table, not that she minded it really, but it was quite odd as she'd never been surrounded by this many people in her entire life.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 01:18 PM
"Plans?" Seb repeated as he looked at Sariss. "I was thinking of eating a bit more, maybe having a nap, wake up just in time for tea..." He paused to think for a moment. His plans mainly consisted of sleeping and eating. He needed something else to throw in, just to show veriety. "And then clean out fish."

A somewhat innocent grin passed over his face. He had a feeling she knew he added the last part in.

"Well! I like sleep. I like food! Why not stick to what I like?! Anyway," Seb continued, "I don't need to ask your plans." He cleared his throat and began to speak in a somewhat higher tone of voice, "The common room is down the left hand set of stairs. No, the great hall will not be turned into a stage so you can show off in front of your new friends! No running in the coridoor!"

He couldn't go on anymore due to the laughter which had escaped. "Ah, being a prefect... What a life..!"

Posted by: BriceMetta Jan 9 2004, 02:04 PM
Brice wandered over to the Slytherin table -anything to avoid Passion. Lingering ever so slightly nervously behind some other boy, he cleared his throat. "Um... am I disturbing anything?"

((Wondering if anyone will recognise me... wink.gif ))

Posted by: CassieXanthe Jan 9 2004, 02:14 PM
"Not at all." Cassie came up behind the Unsorted. Slumping at the table, she grabbed a cup of coffee.

Posted by: BriceMetta Jan 9 2004, 02:18 PM
"Erm, right..." muttered Brice, eyes flickering to the Prefect badge. He shuffled onto the bench and looked around, not really all that comfortable with this many Slytherins... but there was worse.

Posted by: Devon_Bell Jan 9 2004, 02:41 PM
Devon yawned and made his way to the Slytherin tables...

"Ahhh... I love newbies..." he sighed, "Cass could you get me some coffee?"

(OOC: Boy i'm bored... I've finished all of the orders at Gladrags and have nothing to do... And I'm depressed... Oh well... Coffee...)

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 02:45 PM
"You love newbies?" Seb asked, "What? Between two slices of bread?" Seb looked towards the newbie, who looked very uncomfortable. "Welcome! The name's Seb."

Posted by: Devon_Bell Jan 9 2004, 02:59 PM
"No.... They are just so KAWAII!!!! Was I that cute when I was an ickle firsty seb? Although I was a lot older than the others..."

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 03:00 PM
Clean out fish? What a lovely excuse to avoid catching up on Herbology and Astronomy and what else was still floating around unfinished. Sariss knew better than to mention the h-word around her boyfriend. She could see the grimace on his face quite clearly in her mind's eye already.

Sariss giggled and blushed a bit. Seb had given a rather accurate impression of her voice and way of speaking. "Actually I was aiming more for 'If you put one toe out of line, Professor Sinistra will have your head--if I don't get there first.'" While she had spoken all of this in a totally serious tone of voice, the grin that she had managed to suppress all this time finally spread over her face.

Add to that grin a somewhat mischivous sparkle in her eyes and anybody who looked at her would know that she'd just had a thought.

"Hey, haven't you forgotten something in that list of yours? Sleep, food..." She gave a fake cough. "Hint hint..." She pouted.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 03:00 PM
Seb cleared his throat and tried to inch away. "Uh, if I don't answer that, would you be offended?" He then looked at Sariss, who he was now closer to.

"Me? Forget something hint hint? I don't really know! Gee... remind me?"

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 03:03 PM
Sariss chuckled softly and leant in to whisper into Seb's ear. "A special someone... Like... Me... For example?" She gave him a peck on the cheek.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 03:09 PM
Seb rolled his eyes up to think. "You? Um, Sleep..." He ticked off one finger, "Food," another, "More sleep, clean fish," Another two, "Sariss! OH! There you are! In the list afterall! Just before Quidditch!"

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 03:17 PM
"Am I glad that I won the race against Quidditch," she said wryly. "But hey! Top 5! That's not too bad after all." She sort of puffed out her chest in pride, mockingly, and grinned at Seb. Nobody could tease her like he did. Nobody else would even dare do so as she seemed to have got a reputation of being somewhat scary. Oddness though. She didn't perceive herself like that.

"Hmm... Maybe I should make a list too," she mused and munched on her breakfast.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 03:23 PM
"Yeah, you make a list - no, let me do it for you!" Seb took a sip of his drink then looked back to Sariss.

"Ahem, Charms homework, Herbology homework, transfig homework, astronomy homework, DADA homework, all the homeworks," Seb had ticked off quite a few fingers by now, "Duelling, the MM, I mentioned homework, right? Yeah."

He made a clicking noise with his tongue as he tried to think of more, "Urm, oh, I mentioned homework. Prefectness..." Seb was now half way through a new round of finger ticking, "And somewhere near the end is sleep, food and me!"

Seb nodded his head and grinned.

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 03:31 PM
"Stand back, everyone. The list-making-master is at it again!" Sariss half-shouted.

"Well... Homework is important, you know? As to duelling... I haven't done much recently. And the MM is rather quiet. It seems that everyone spent all their money for pets after and during Christmas. I'd say you come in very close second to homework. Food and sleep is last, unfortunately."

She inched a bit closer. "I sure would like to adjust my list and schedule to yours though," she said somewhat suggestively, although not too suggestively. Only so that Seb would pick up on it. Add to that a little wink...

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 03:47 PM
"You're lucky I'm not actually drawing the list, with a schedu-- oh, yes, adjust." Seb raised one eyebrow, "That could be arranged actually," He added, reaching over for his glass of pumkin juice, suddenly getting the urge to redo his list.

Posted by: CassieXanthe Jan 9 2004, 03:51 PM
Cassie grinned at Midi, shoving him a cup of coffee. "Oh yeah. You were that cute." she shoved one at the other boy too. "What's your name...?"

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 04:00 PM
Sariss very clearly remembered Seb's last attempt at making a schedule for the two of them. Funny memory how they had tried to set up a schedule for Sariss as to when she could eat chocolate and when she wouldn't just so Seb and she could smooch. Seb's chocolate allergy had seemed to be somewhat of an obstacle--until Sariss discovered her addiction for sugar quills... and the fact that kissing Seb was by miles better than a piece of chocolate.

"Draw a list? Erm... well... it might not be usable for its planned purpose, but as a work of art..." she teased the boy.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 04:07 PM

((...gah...))

EDIT: for my still respected Quidditch capt'n smile.gif

Posted by: BriceMetta Jan 9 2004, 04:13 PM
"Thanks..." Brice took the cup of coffee thankfully, almost spilling it. "Brice. Cousin to Passion Hopeflower in Ravenclaw." she almost rolled his eyes. He looked at the girl with Seb. "Are you sure I'm not interrupting anything...?!"

((...))

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 04:17 PM
"No, newbie, you're not interupting anything." Seb turned back to Sariss. "You cheeky thing! I'll have you know the last schedule I did was good enough to plan on! So what if about three lines crossed through one day, to make another week completely. But you're right. A work of art it was, and can be again."

Seb blinked, "You don't er, happen to have any parchment on you, do you? And a quill?"

Posted by: CassieXanthe Jan 9 2004, 04:22 PM
((Edited...))

"What..." Cassie eyed Sar and Seb cautiously, "are you trying to do...?"

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 04:28 PM
"Why so suspicious, Cassie? It's not like we were up to something illegal nor scandalous." Sariss giggled. "It'll be a list... or a work of art, depending on your point of view. But it's always fun making one, whatever it'll be when it's finished."

She smirked in an amused and somewhat teasing way at Seb and pulled out her bag from under the seat. "The day that I don't have parchment and quill with me will be the day when the entire wizarding world has run out of both," she said and gently removed Thorny and the two oranges that she had brought with her from the Hufflepuff table where she had been babbing a bit with Rysa earlier.

Then she was free to reach in and provide Seb with the desired materials.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 04:35 PM
Seb gratefully accepted the items. "Yay you! Now then," He looked down at the parchment which he placed onto the table, "What am I making this for again? Oh yes," He winked at Sariss then got to work.

"So I'll want a line or five down here, two across there - uh, ignore that blotchy bit. Pretend its an ink blot an i'm a psyc.pc.. a doctor. Shall I do it by every few hours?.. Or..." He looked over to Sariss, squinted in thought, then got back to work.

"I guess... it would look something like....." a few minutes pause, "Tadaa!" He grinned and pointed towards the piece of parchment, "Looks as good as my essays!"

Posted by: CassieXanthe Jan 9 2004, 04:39 PM
"Psychiatrist, deary?" asked Cassie, sipping her coffee with one wary eye on those two.

((... since when did Sar giggle...?! wink.gif ))

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 04:40 PM
(ooc: I beg your pardon. Sariss giggles a lot when she's with Seb... *cough cough*)

Sariss sniggered all the time when Seb drew up the 'schedule'. He was just too cute and funny. When he was finished and presented his work, she was already laughing with happiness, joy and amusement. "A true work of art!" she exclaimed and brushed her lips over Seb's. "Do I get an explanation of... er... this line and... that blotch over there? I sure hope it means that we'll be spending this time together."

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 04:50 PM
"Well," Seb blushed, as he pointed to the blob of ink. "That means i'm clumby with ink. So, ignore that. Well them three blocks there, that means... Well I'll tell you later. The fourth one.. Yeah that's food. Um, them two... I think I'll explain later too. Quidditch, and Quidditch," He pointed to a few more blocks. "And.. Yeah I think i'll explain it all later on."

Seb winked and scrolled up the parchment. "So! Food! Mmmm.. "

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 04:55 PM
Seb blushed really rarely but when he did, Sariss felt another surge of warmth and love wash over herself.

"Food?" she repeated. "Well, there's plenty of it." She pointed at the two oranges that she had brought with her. "Want one?" she asked Seb and grabbed the other one.

Posted by: clow Jan 9 2004, 06:20 PM
(ooc: sariss giggles a lot. Believe me. Scary when she does that laugh.gif )

" Welcome to the world of Sariss and Seb. "

Clow murmured while stab another apple.

" It's funny, two couple of Slytherin has first capital in their name same. S in Sariss and Seb. "

Posted by: Artemis Jan 9 2004, 06:49 PM
Artemis walked over to the deserted slyhterin table with a book and sat down.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 07:14 PM
Janet tossed her long brown curls behind her shoulder and sat down. Ugh, her hair could be so annoying! "Hello, everyone." Focusing on piling food on her plate, she waited until she was finished before saying anything more. "Oh, hello again Seb, and erm...I don't think I know your names..." She trailed off, looking at the other two girls, one was obviously Seb's girlfriend, giggling. "I'm Janet." She gave a little smile, she hated not knowing so many people every time she sat down at the table.

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 08:15 PM
"Hello, Janet," Sariss greeted the girl while peeling her orange. If she got the juice into her eye, she'd... she'd... yes! She would eat the orange as a revenge! Not like that wouldn't happen otherwise but that wasn't the point. "I'm Sariss and the apple-stabber over there is Clow. And the quiet type over there is Artemis, just in case you were wondering."

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 9 2004, 08:35 PM

Lola came back to the table.
'Hello.'
She nodded to them all in turn.
'How are you all?'
Lola asked as she reached over to the fruit bowl tying to grasp the apple.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 9 2004, 09:12 PM
"Yes im the quite person called artemis" he said smilling.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 9 2004, 09:33 PM

Lola grabbed the apple and sat up again, she gave Artemis a look. She didn't understand, but didn't care.
Lola popped the apple in her mouth and took a bite.

Posted by: Artemis Jan 9 2004, 09:37 PM
Artemis sharply glared at lola and turned back to his book.

Posted by: Lola Giviannia Jan 9 2004, 10:19 PM

(sharply?? Why have I done to deserve this??)

Lola would ask what book he was reading but by his sharp glance, there was no point. She bit her apple again.

(again, sharply??!!)

Seb quietly hummed to himself as he peeled the orange Sariss had kindly gave him. "Oh, hello Janet!" He greeted the first year as he saw her sit down. "Been for a wander? Big place - don't want to get lost." After chewing on a piece or segment he spoke again, "Although, I still get lost too. That could have something to do with my short attention span to remember where I'm going though."

He nudged Sariss in the arm, "She's got lost before too." Seb grinned at the memory of when they both got lost, yet ended up being lost together. That was quite a strange day...

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 9 2004, 10:58 PM
Morgana hesitated on her way into the hall, looking at all the new first years. More people to get to know. Wonderful.

"Hey," she greeted warily, seating herself in her usual place and dropping her bag beneath the table. There were loud clunks as her books fell over each other in an attempt to get out of the way of her booted feet, which she promptly rested on top of them.

The tall girl pulled a gold tureen of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes towards her and filled her bowl, tapping the edges in with her nails and piling the flakes up in the middle. She poured milk expertly round the edges so as not to disturb the structure.

"Morgana," she introduced herself briefly, glancing around at the new faces. "Hi."

The tall redhead tucked hungrily into her food.

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 11:04 PM
"Hello, Sariss, Clow, Artemis, Lola, Morgana and Seb!" Janet released a gasp for air. "Yes, I got lost," She nodded at Seb, "This school is enormous. I was owled my Slytherin house robes today from Gladrags, so the day had at least one event so far." She said. "I ended up paying the discount price because the Slytherin working there convinced me our House team had enough money already, and didn't need the donation. I was so willing to, all in the name of Quidditch." Janet smirked.

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 11:11 PM
Sariss grimaced. "Well, that's what I got from thinking that I should know the dungeons a bit better as a prefect. No such luck. I swear the dungeons are shifting around even more than the other parts of the castle--or I'm just being my disorientated self occasionally," she admitted. She had been glad beyond words when she had run into Seb on her being-lost trip. Granted, Seb appearing in what had been a cloud of probably centuries old dust had given her almost a heart attack, but being lost with someone else was not quite as terrible as being lost all on your own. And when the one to be lost with was Seb, it suddenly didn't seem so bad anymore.

She grinned. "I'd gladly get lost with you anytime again, Seb," she teased. Today she seemed to be in one of her bubbly moods. Maybe the oranges at the Hufflepuff table had been somewhat spiked and made her more bubbly than usual... more... Hufflepufflish?

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 9 2004, 11:26 PM
Morgana smiled at Janet.

"Robes are the staple ingredient of life as we know it," she said piously. "I still get lost around the school, so you don't have to worry about losing that little novelty."

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 11:29 PM
Janet breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay, that's good! I don't feel as much a firstie as now, I hate being the lowest on the food chain, but at least I'm in Slytherin." She nodded.

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 9 2004, 11:40 PM
"I'd gladly get lost with you anytime again, Seb," Sariss said to him, he could hear the teasing tone, but all he had to do was mention it, and she would agree to get lost. Well as long as there was no spiders.

"I bet you would. Oh! Maybe I should mark that on the schedule? I'll do it later, after i've explained the certain boxes to you," He chuckled in her direction and gave a wink, before turning back to the newbie.

Seb listened to what she said about food chain. Well the word food sparked his interest. "Oh you'll still be the lowest form until you prove yourself. We had to walk across the roof of the North Tower befo- - No just kidding."

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 9 2004, 11:45 PM
Morgana looked at him, feigning surprise and indignation.

"You're kidding? And I walked across the roof for nothing?" She laughed. "Seriously, don't worry. Some people might push you around. New kids on the stomping ground don't do much for the egos of some of the older kids. I know I'm not a prefect, but I'll be poking around if you need anything."

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 11:47 PM
Janet smiled, grateful for the elder students' advice. "Thanks, I appreciate it!" She laughed. "Besides, I won't get picked on much by other House students, they are all afraid I'm a dementor or something, being in Slytherin." She grinned. "It does have its advantages."

Posted by: Sariss Jan 9 2004, 11:47 PM
Ignoring the bit of heat that seemed to emanate from her cheeks, Sariss giggled. "Now don't scare the ickle ones already, Seb. They mustn't get used to it or else my effect on them when I try to scare and drag them all to classes will be completely non-existent and we'll have them all play Exploding Snap in some secret chamber or hidden passageway."

She could so imagine that happening. Many of the students did that and miraculously got away with it. What a lazy bunch those supposedly ambitious and sly Slytherins could be... Sometimes she really wondered how some of them had ever managed to persuade the hat to sort them into Slytherin at all.

"Don't worry, Janet. The first year is the one that passes fastest. There's just so much to explore in this castle. I doubt we'll know all of its secrets even by our graduation time."

Posted by: Janet Jan 9 2004, 11:55 PM
"Okay! I don't feel alone now," Janet smiled. "I'm looking forward to seeing the common room for our House, I wonder what the dormitories are like."

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 9 2004, 11:58 PM
"Which, now you mention it, is not so far away," Morgana said, looking worried. Her OWLs were only a year away, and she was not particularly well known for working hard. Oh well. She was fairly sure she could do OK without working. She had a few tricks up her sleeve.

"Being in Slytherin's great," she agreed. "Sometimes it gives out an image you don't want, though."

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 10 2004, 12:07 AM
"The dorms?" Seb repeated. "They're... Comfy. I can say that. You're lucky you're not in the boys dorms. Cimbers feet smell, and I have loads of pets. Although... The female dorms have..." He shuddered, "No, you're not lucky."

Seb pulled two lizards out of his pocket after a moments thought, "Talking of pets, two of mine. Tua, and Tara. They're Tuatara's." Seb nodded his head. "It seems everytime I go in the Menagerie to visit the adorable Sariss here, I come out with a new pet." He rolled his eyes, "She can try sell me a dead Hippogriff and i'd buy it."

Posted by: Sariss Jan 10 2004, 12:12 AM
Sariss furrowed her brows. "You know... I don't think we have those in stock at the moment. But if you ask really nicely Miss Feline might let you have one," she said in a dead serious tone of voice. "How about a dragon and a manticore to go with the dead hippogriff? We have this special offer this month. Buy one dead dangerous animal and get two live ones for free... and... and if you also buy--"

She couldn't go on. Laughter stopped her quite efficiently from continuing.

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 10 2004, 12:34 AM
*Oasis Elvea sat down at the Slytherin table. "Hello everyone." She said getting a tea and drinking it.

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 10 2004, 12:42 AM
"Hey," Morgana smiled, looking curiously at Sariss. She was never usually the sort to make that sort of noise.

Posted by: Starmia Jan 10 2004, 12:43 AM
Starmia approached the table, just overhearing the last few sentences of the conversation.

"Sometimes it gives out an image you don't want, though."

As she sat down she cast a quizzical look over to her bandmate, Morgana.

"You don't like your tough-chick Slytherinette image?" She questioned as she reached for a few ginger biscuits. Smiling and sitting back as she nibbled on one, she shrugged to herself, "I'm rather pleased with mine."

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 10 2004, 12:44 AM
Seb doubled over with laughter. "Y..you know, that is a bloody good deal! I wonder, would I get a discount? you know? As I'm the one that keeps the place in business?" He wiped a stray laughter tear away from his eyes as the newbie sat down.

"Jeez... hmm. Er, hello! Who're you?"

Posted by: Janet Jan 10 2004, 12:46 AM
"Oh that's funny! The lizards are adorable!! I'm saving up for a black cat, myself." She wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes at what Sariss had said. "Oh, hello Oasis!" She hugged her friend.

Posted by: Cien Mashuga Jan 10 2004, 12:46 AM
"You, a tough Slytherinette?" Cien asked, dropping into a seat opposite to Morgana and Starmia and resting her feet on the cross bar under the table.

"I pictured you more under the sexy Slytherinette image," she added thoughtfully, turning her head to the side whilst reaching for an apple to eat.

"And Morgana's the cool Slytherinette who most know, you know?" she asked, wondering vaguely if she was making any sense at all. Probably not, as Cien tended to change what she was saying half way through a sentance.

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 10 2004, 12:47 AM
"Oh I'm happy with that. It's the snob image I'm not happy with. Too accurate for my liking," Morgana laughed. "I'm a tough, toffee-nosed Slytherinette b*tch." She smiled, blushing slightly at Cien's words. "Cool? Most know me? That's really sweet, thanks."

In demonstration, she pushed her chair back and put her Doc Martened feet on the table, crossing her ankles in their hot pink legwarmers and hugging her bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes to her chest as she slowly worked her way into them.

Posted by: Sariss Jan 10 2004, 12:49 AM
(ooc: how childish not to mention an abuse of power is it to edit my posts just because you hate my guts? *edits it back and wonders who the pig in here is*)

"Why of course you may have a discount!" Sariss continued laughing. "As one of our very best and most reliable customers... and also one of the customers that are most welcome..."

She leant in for a kiss. "That alone is worth a lot of discount."

Posted by: Janet Jan 10 2004, 12:51 AM
Janet turned to Sariss. "Sariss, do you have any pets? You must love magical creatures to work at the Magical Menagerie."

Posted by: Sariss Jan 10 2004, 12:54 AM
"Yes, indeed I do!" Sariss exclaimed. "Thorny here is one." She indicated her little hedgehog who was sitting comfortably in her bag. "And then there's Sherlock, an owl. Christmas present off Sebbie here." She smiled at her boyfriend. "I don't see Sherlock too often though. He's happy up there in the owlery."

Posted by: Janet Jan 10 2004, 12:57 AM
Janet smiled at the sight of the little hedgehog. "Oh, he's adorable!" She said, petting it on its little black nose. "What a darling. That must be so much fun, working in the Menagerie."

Posted by: Sariss Jan 10 2004, 01:02 AM
"Well, yes it is," Sariss replied, smiling. "Especially when Seb goes into Hogsmeade to pick me up in the evening sometimes... or when he arrives early and Miss Feline allows me to leave early because the shop isn't all too busy."

She looked lovingly at her boyfriend.

Posted by: Cien Mashuga Jan 10 2004, 01:09 AM
"Sweet?" Cien asked, raising an eyebrow before biting into her apple. She swallowed the piece before continuing. "I'm not sweet. Sweet is... sickening."

She grinned before biting into her apple once more and looking up and down the table at the various people seated around. Strangely, there was only one firstie who was talking; thankfully, too wrapped up in another conversation.

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 10 2004, 01:15 AM
Oasis smiled at Janet. "Hey Janet sorry I didn't answer you I was working on something." Oasis said, "How has you day been?"

Posted by: Janet Jan 10 2004, 01:18 AM
Janet smiled at Oasis. "Pretty good, I got most of my school supplies and robes today. Yourself?"

Posted by: Morgana Soulfire Jan 10 2004, 01:18 AM
"I had no intention of being insulting," Morgi said tonelessly. Suddenly it was as though Sariss's strange snorting noise was erased from the history of the table. Morgana could have sworn she remembered it happening, but it seemed to have lost its base in reality. She shrugged. Life was like that at Hogwarts.

"Looking forward to the end of term?" she asked Cien conversationally. "How far away is that now?"

Posted by: Oasis Elvea Jan 10 2004, 01:19 AM
Oasis frowned, "No not yet, its taking quite some time. Iv been doing well a little bored."

Posted by: Janet Jan 10 2004, 01:21 AM
Janet wrinkled her nose. "Oh yes, it does take a while, the shop is very busy. What did you do today?"

Posted by: Seb_Darwin Jan 10 2004, 01:23 AM
"Sari, lets go talk about the you know what, for the you know when thingy," he said winking as he stood up, and after helping Sariss stand he turned to Janet.

"Nice knowing you, see you around, ok? Bye!"

He turned to Sariss as they walked out of the Great Hall. "Did someone smell there to you?" He muttered, so no one else could her unless they were being really nosey (and had their ears up Seb's... yeah) " I don't know... as soon as the other came, I'm sure I could smell sick..."

With a shrug, they left.
