"Here, I think," Seb said as he pointed to a spot just before the lake. Sariss and Seb had came outside in the fresh air to "stimulate" Seb's brain. He had homework to do, and Sariss had came along to make sure he didn't do his usual 'ignoring it until later' trick. He threw his bag down (probably breaking his ink pot) and sat down next to it. Autumn. The season Seb never really liked. It was when everything died, turned cold and dark. The only positive side was that Winter was just around the corner. Winter meant snow. Snow meant Sebbie turns into an ickle child. At the moment the weather was mild, not warm, but not too cold. "Are you sure I have to do it now? I have a few days left before it needs to be handed in," He once more pleaded with her, grasping onto any chance he could get to procrastinate. "I would rather give my full attention to you, than homework!" Seb grinned at her as she sat down near him.

Gracefully, Sariss lowered herself and her bag, which was as heavy as ever, to the ground near Seb and smiled at him. He was always so reluctant to do his homework and ended up doing it anyway and receiving very good grades too. "That's all good and well. Merlin knows that I'd love to have your full attention, but..." She moved closer to him and put her arms around his neck. "Missing out on too much homework would result in you serving detention and being thrown out of the Quidditch team... And we can't have that now, can we? Both leads to you being away from me." She pouted for a moment, smiled and then kissed Seb on the lips. It was a lovely early evening to be outside. It was not too cold yet, and the afternoon sun drenched the clouds in all shades of orange. The surface of the lake was smooth like a mirror except for the occasional ripple caused by the giant squid that was enjoying the last days of autumn. Halloween was drawing nearer and nearer. And soon it would be winter and Hogwarts would be decorated for Christmas. Sariss would stay over Christmas just like last year. She had a feeling Seb would too. "Mmm... if you do your homework now, it'll be out of the way and nothing will keep you from paying your full attention to me," she grinned at him, seeing her own reflection in his sparkling eyes. "Although why exactly you'd do that eludes me completely." She moved away and pulled Seb's Charms book out of his schoolbag, opening it at the chapter about Memory Charms and placed it before him.

Mmm... if you do your homework now, it'll be out of the way and nothing will keep you from paying your full attention to me," Sariss grinned at Seb, after giving him a kiss, "Although why exactly you'd do that eludes me completely." "But I don't want to do homework," He pouted in a childish way as she placed his Charms book out of his bag. He looked down at the pages. Memory Charm. He didn't remember that class. Seb had spent most of the lesson looking/thinking/breathing Sariss. "I mean, not today anyway. I'll still hand it in on time. It'll be good decent quality work." He searched his bag for his parchment, quill and ink pot, and placed them beside his book. "Homework is much more fun when you only have to read a chapter. Then I could speed read and do more of this..." Seb trailed off, as he leant forward, placing a spontanious kiss on Sari's lips. "But hey, if you want me to do homework, I'll do homework." With a quiet laugh he began to write down some sentances from his text book, sticking his tongue out between his lips in concentration. He paused after a few minutes to read over what he had written and pushed some hair behind his ears while muttering "Bloody homework.."
Posted by: Sariss Sep 23 2003, 02:03 AM
"Bloody homework..." Seb muttered. He looked so unimaginably cute when he was concentrating on his homework. Sariss wanted to smooch him senseless, but homework was the priority now. She could fully relate to Seb when he said he'd rather spend the afternoon/evening kissing than doing homework. With a content sigh, Sariss leant back and lay in the grass. The sun wasn't blinding her as the sun threw Seb's shadow over her in a quite lovely way. She closed her eyes while Seb's quill scribbled away with a slightly scratching sound. His essay would be brilliant as always; and as always he'd say that it wasn't. And Professor Flitwick would give him an A for it. Sariss smiled with her eyes closed, perfectly at ease in the boy's presence. They did not have to talk all the time. Somehow she could be there and do nothing when he was there. She hated idleness, but for as long as she was with Seb, even just being there was strangely fulfilling for her.

Sariss sighed and lay down in the grass as Seb continued with his homework. Maybe if he wrote nonsense to make it look like it was homework he could get it finished early and really do it later. Uh uuuhh. She'll check it over. As silly as it sounded, Seb hated it when his brain was right. "Sari? How do you spell - oh, oh it doesn't matter..." He mumbled then paused, biting the top of his quill in thought for a moment. There was a light breeze picking up around them, and Seb had a memory of when he had to sit outside for ages, hoping to her the wind talk to him. Strangly enough, it taked. Seb realised then that if he was doing Divination homework, he would have completed it the same day he got it. Or there abouts. Memory charms.. memory charms... He scanned his text book, turning the page to look for more information. Boring. Looking over to the lake, he could see a few students, first years, trying to coax out the Squid, which in turn splashed water at them. Hopeless. Almost everyone knew the Giant Squid loved to bathe inthe moonlight more, and that was when it would show itself the most. "Hmm, how long does this have to be, again?" He asked her, taking a guess at how many words he had wrote down already by scanning his parchment. Seb looked away from his homework, and smiled down to Sariss. She looked relaxed and happy, he noted to himself. It was how she deserved to be. There had been times she had came to him as a friend, being quite sad and there wasn't much he could do about it back then. Seb was glad times had changed, and he never wanted to see Sariss upset ever again.

"Hmm?" Sariss made. She had been close to falling asleep in the warmth of the sun. "Oh... um... Flitwick didn't say. He just wanted those three questions answered and then a small essay... For the essay, some one hundred and fifty words should be enough," she said softly. There was no need to raise her voice. She opened her eyes, blinking at the light of the sun, and found Seb looking down at her. A smile was on his face. Her mouth twitched into a broader smile too. It was strange. For days on end her mouth had been forming a small smile. All the time. No matter what she had been doing or where she'd been. Even the most difficult classes didn't result in a frown edged into her forehead anymore. Everything seemed so easy and seemed to run so smoothly now. She had fun, no matter what it was that she was doing because she knew she'd be seeing Seb soon. When she was in Runes classes, she knew she'd see him afterwards again. When she was in Hogsmeade, she had him to look forward to when she'd be returning to the castle. Sariss couldn't help but smile as she sat up and hugged Seb from behind, resting her head on his shoulder. She kissed his cheek and said, "Can I read what you already have?"

Seb felt Sariss hug him from behind, resting her head on his shoulder. He sighed happily. Bliss. He was sure he was in some state of bliss when he was with Sariss. It was indescribably. Something new and exciting. It felt so good, so comfortable, and more importantly, it felt so ... right. Sariss placed a kiss on his cheek and asked, "Can I read what you already have?" He loved it when she did that. It may just be a little kiss between words, but it filled Seb up with so much emotion, he couldn't believe. "Urm, well it's nothing special..." He said, shrugging a little bit. Seb didn't like the idea of her reading it. She was so much better than him, schoolwork wise, and it made him feel like she was testing him on his ability, looking for mistakes, something to pull him up about. Just like them. ... But she's not them. Not even close to being them. He licked his lips as he held up the piece of parchment. "Sure. Knock yourself out. I mean, it's not the, er final copy. I'll change things around, make it sound better and stuff. And I need to check my spelling..." He rambled on, nervously.

“Nonsense,” Sariss said. “I’m sure it’s just fine.” Seb was always so insecure about the things he did. Never thought he was good enough, always ashamed and scared that he’d do something wrong or not quite as good as his own standards demanded it of him. He was always so worried about little mistakes in his homeworks and always thought that Sariss’s were the ultimate thing. But that was not true. Sariss herself chided herself for her spelling and small grammar errors that sometimes crawled into her essays. It was really annoying. Whenever she got the corrected homework back, she found mistakes that she’d overlooked before. She really had to try and get more relaxed about things like those. It wasn’t like they were affecting her grade. She most of the time understood the logic that lay behind the magic. With slight difficulties, Sariss managed to extricate the piece of parchment from a very reluctant Seb and held it up for herself to read. Her chin was resting on Seb’s shoulder again and her arms were around him once more. She was very comfortable the way they were sitting there. They were both viewing the parchment. Sariss read Seb’s answer to the first question for the Charms homework aloud. Because it would be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands. If used by everyday people, and not trusted assigned people, the charm would be used for unlawful purposes and every un honest person would run amock in the world. Killing, stealing, hurting and getting away with it. It is a strong complex charm and used for a wrong purpose can be utterly devastating – therefore only highly trusted and skilled people have the knowledge to cast Memory-Modifying Charms. She nodded as much as her position would allow her to. “That’s good, Sebbie,” she said. He had written down some of her own thoughts even. Then she proceeded to the next part. The effects of an overly powerful Memory-Modifying Charm would result in semi or severe memory loss. The person would not know who they are, or have any sane existence of the goings on around them. That is why only trained professionals have use over that spell, because if it was used on someone by mistake, and the strength of the spell was misjudged there would almost be no chance of the victim recovering. “Brilliant!” she half-exclaimed. She didn’t speak very loud as she’d be practically yelling in his ear if she did. And Sariss knew how painful and annoying that could get. “I’m sure Flitwick is going to like those answers very much. They’re correct and you really put a lot of effort into them.” She noticed that she was sounding like a teacher and added a mischievous, “Could it be that you have acquired a muse to inspire you to such an excellent homework?” She tightened the hug for a short moment.

Seb had cringed all the way Sariss reading out the answers he had wrote down so far. When she had came to the second answer Seb found himself nervously biting his thumb nail - an old nervous habit. “Could it be that you have acquired a muse to inspire you to such an excellent homework?” Sariss asked him, giving him a sqeezing hug after she had told him his work was 'brilliant'. He took the parchment back so he could finish it. "I'll have you know it's not brilliant, nor excellent. At a push it's just average. It's weird, my brain," He told her, leaning his head back onto her shoulder a tad, "My brain knows exactly how it want's to answer, it's all wrote out in my head! But somewhere between my brain and my hand to write it down, the words get muddled and lost and I get confused!" Seb looked up at the sky and put his free hand over Sari's, which was around his waist in a hug. "But a muse? Yeah I have been feeling quite inspired recently. That voice that nags me to do homework is actually quite nice to listen to! Yes... I've decided to name the voice 'the voice'. Or maybe it should be 'the all knowing'?" Seb turned his head to look at Sariss. After licking his lips, he asked "What do you think?" I think you hope she won't remember you have to finish your homework. But you didn't ask me.
Posted by: Sariss Sep 23 2003, 10:26 PM
"I think that 'the voice' is hardly all-knowing," Sariss smiled. "And your work is always far above average. Where else would your good grades come from? So don't worry too much." She brushed her lips over his, shamelessly using the fact that he was looking at her to her advantage--although it was also his advantage. Then, wearing a blush on her cheeks, she moved to sit next to Seb so that he could continue writing his Charms homework. It was half-finished already, after all. "Feeling be-mused now?" she grinned at him, biting her lip for a moment and rummaged around in her bag to try and find her Divination book. She was close to thinking that Divination consisted entirely of imagining things and general paranoia... But she'd chosen to study it and therefore, she'd read the stuff no matter what her personal opinion on it was. She propped the book on the grass and moved to lie on her stomach, resting her head on her elbow while she opened it on Chapter 3: Quija Board for Dummies and began to read so that Seb would be able to finish his Charms homework undisturbed by her presence and eventual babbling.
Posted by: Seb_Darwin Sep 23 2003, 11:02 PM
Seb grinned as Sariss moved next to him. "Ok, 'the voice' it is then!" As Sari got out a book, he placed his quill ink the ink and concentrated on his homework once more. His only problem now was Sariss. When she was near him, like now, he didn't even want to SEE his homework books. He took a peek across to her as she lay down on her belly to read her book. Seb hadn't felt this happy in a while now. With a wide smile on his face, he turned his attention (grudginly) back to his homework. Why does the charm play a key role in concealing the magical world from the non-magical world? Well that was a stupid question.. To him at least. Once more Seb set about completing his homework, dreading writing the small essay at the end. Dipping his quill in the black ink once more, he began to write. All that could be heard was the scratching of his quill to parchment, Sariss turning pages and the first years who were still trying to get a good look at the Squid. With a sigh Seb flexed his writing arm, which was getting sore from all the writing he had been doing. He wondered how Sariss, and others always had their homework handed in straight away, and now get dead hands. Talking of hands... "Ah poo." He stopped himself from cursing as he wiped his hand on his robes. "Bloomin' ink all over my hands! Oh. That'll do." Seb claimed loudly, placing his quill on the grass and waiting for the ink to dry on his parchment. "I'm finished with that. And I'm not doing Potions, no way! Last class was slightly, boring, dont you agree? I mean he came in, talked about his wife, opened a window, said about three words to us and told us to just go do homework!" Seb hunched his shoulders into a half hearted shrug as he held out his homework to Sariss; he knew she would ask to read it again. He was getting the feeling he knew exactly how she worked, acted and responded more and more each day, and he loved that feeling or being in sync with her.

Frowning slightly, Sariss read her Divination book. This stuff was really absurd. She wondered what a person had to have imbibed to actually make those things happen. All those paragraphs about visions had been really suspicious to her, but this Quija board… It was a pity that she wasn’t in the same class as Seb. Maybe it wouldn’t make her shake her head so often if she had somebody to cheer her up and encourage her. As it was now, she only wrote what the teacher probably wanted to read. It was the safest way to a good grade and didn’t require the faintest hint of an Inner Eye. "I'm finished with that. And I'm not doing Potions, no way! Last class was slightly, boring, don't you agree? I mean he came in, talked about his wife, opened a window, said about three words to us and told us to just go do homework!" Seb said and held out his finished homework for her to check. She accepted it and placed it on the open book in front of her. Then she looked up at him. “I must admit that I haven’t learnt anything last lesson,” she said. “I want to learn how to brew potions and what their effects are, not be told about a teacher’s private life. Maybe I’m just too stiff and practical… but I simply don’t understand the purpose of that lesson. I wrote a 20 inches long essay on how being in love makes a person feel… And I guessed wildly why he’s using that potion on us. I hate guessing. I’ve always been more comfortable with facts. Maybe I’m just too young or too stupid to understand? I mean, who am I to doubt the existence of a purpose in a teacher's lesson?” Slowly, so as to not accidentally tear her robe on a stone or something, she got up on her knees and added, “Any ideas on who received the Love Potion? I’m beginning to think that none of us did. He’s probably just trying to inspire paranoia in us…” She trailed off and reached for Seb’s homework. The ink should be dry enough by now. “Now let’s see…” If some muggles found out about the magical world, they wouldn’t be able to accept it, and even end up resenting and turning against our world. The non-magical world would end up feeling threatened against us and taking action. This would be bad for both sides, but mainly them as we have better and more powerful ways of defence. The best way for both sides to live (relatively) peacefully is for this to be kept a secret. So, if a muggle finds out – the memory-modifying charm would be our only way to keep both worlds safe. She nodded and proceeded to the last part of the homework. The essay. This happened about 2 years ago, in the muggle village next to where I live. Every now and then some muggle kids wander into our magical village, and vice versa, and this was the case then, only a much more severe case.. A group of young adults, just recently left school decided to go cause some chaos in the muggle village. They went around turning little kids from the family who live on the Farm into sheep, placed people in giant bubbles, old ladies they made fly around the postal box and turned cars into giant jelly shapes there on the road – people trapped inside. The please-men there couldn’t do anything about them, as their wands weren’t magical, they could only hit people with them, that is the ones which didn’t have their arms and legs swapped. Anyway, the muggles were running around, panicking. They didn’t know what magic was real, and their village is usually quiet. That with the fact they couldn’t do anything to stop it… Well it was scary for them. Eventually the Aurors were notified and had to come place Memory-Modifying Charms on the muggles after everything was turned back to its original state. Even though their memories were modified and they don’t remember what happened, they now avoid our village if they can, and give us dodgy looks if our paths cross. I’m sure it’s just the memories trying to seep through, but they just think they have a ‘feeling’ about us. Rest assured the wizarding troublemakers got their justice. “Please-men?” She giggled softly. “That sounds cute.”

“Please-men?” She giggled softly. “That sounds cute.” Seb blinked. "But.. that's what they are.. right?" He blushed ever so slightly. It was true that he didn't have much knowledge of the muggle world. At home he always stayed at the Manor, or at his Granma's home. He had only really came in contact with people who lived in the muggle world when he began Hogwarts. "Anyway, cute is my second middle name!" "The love potion? I have no idea..." He trailed off, hoping that it wasn't him. Seb suddenly had a weird feeling in his stomach that what he was feeling for Sariss might not be real. No, that can't be. For a start he had feelings of some sort before he drank the potion, and he hadn't shown many of the side effects. Reasuring himself managed to get rid of the feeling a tad. But a little more reasurance wouldn't hurt. Seb leant forward and placed a brief kiss on Sari's lips. He closed his eyes for a moment afterwards. Yup. Not the potion. With a grin on his face, he opened his eyes again. "..Heh.." He took back his homework, safely rolled it back up and placed it in his backpack, along with his ink and quill. "I'm glad thats out of the way," he said as he made sure the bag was closed. Wondering what book Sariss had been reading, he pointed towards the book and asked her. "What are you reading? Anything interesting?"
Posted by: Sariss Sep 24 2003, 12:50 AM
Seb was even cuter than usual when he was blushing. He didn't blush very often. And after a moment, he kissed her again. People must be thinking that Seb and Sariss did nothing else but kiss all the time. The thought was oddly funny. "What are you reading? Anything interesting?" he asked her as soon as he'd rolled up his homework parchment and put it away into his school bag along with the carefully screwed-shut ink bottle and a halfway clean quill. "Divination for first-time Divi students," Sariss grimaced and slammed the book shut. Not intentionally though. It was a large and heavy book and merely closing it was resulting in a dull slamming sound. "It's confusing me. The fumes mess with my brain. I either fell asleep last time and had a weird dream about somebody in a dark room or something... I couldn't make out any details... but I wasn't scared either... Or it was a vision. It was a truly weird lesson..." She shook her head at the memory that still refused to become any clearer than it had been after waking up from the dream/vision. "Well, I was just reading up on Quija boards. They might be coming up in some lesson soon, so I don't want to go in there unprepared. I want to know what it is about beforehand, you know? Divination is soooooo confusing. I doubt that I have an Inner Eye or any talent for elevating my mind into a higher sphere or something where it will be rendered capable of foreseeing the future." She couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. This was just ridiculous. Sariss didn't believe that the future was carved in stone, that it was all part of something like a self-fulfilling prophecy. On the other hand, she believed in destiny however, but more in the sense of 'Everybody will sooner or later get what they deserve' and 'Everything you do will return to you threefold.' That was what she firmly believed in. There just had to be a higher power, maybe even magic itself, that saw to it.
Posted by: Seb_Darwin Sep 24 2003, 01:12 AM
"I like Divinations, I find it really interesting. I dont know why, it just really apeals to me. The strange, the unknown, making it all known in your own special way." He leant back down onto the grass, placing his arms behind his head. "Heh, I guess it's like cheating, seeing what will come soon." Seb looked upwards to the cloudy sky. "The only thing is that what you see is not certain to happen, sometimes. Well so I think anyway. I could see something bad while reading tea leaves. That I'll fall off my broom, all I would need to do is avoid going on a broom for a week." He paused a moment, as he thought, "Though, I could try avoid being on a broom, but end up that me avoiding being on the broom may lead to the accident or something. Meh, ignore me." He wiggled his nose as a sneeze threatened. "So, you had a vision, eh? Someone in a dark room?" His eyes grew widen in excitement. "That's so good! It means someone you've been wanting to know about, which has been kept in the dark for so long is playing on your mind a lot. I think that room will be streaming with light soon," Seb told her, trying to sound as if he knew more than he did. "Did you know that 50% of dreams are psychic, where the other half are only psychological? It's hard trying to tell them apart. Yeah. I pick up stupid facts right?" The sun was shining onto his face, so he brought one hand up to shield his face. They had been outside now for quite a while just chatting and studying. It was short of a miracle that Seb hadn't became hungry yet. Though, his mind was taken up by something.. or more like someone, making him forget about food. "So," Seb said, blinking, "How are you?" He knew it was random, in the middle of a conversation and not the right time to ask, but he suddenly remembered he hadn't even asked her how she was this day.
Posted by: Sariss Sep 24 2003, 01:30 AM
Sariss listened and paid attention to what Seb was telling her about Divination and dreams. The way he said it, it didn't sound half as ridiculous as when she read it in the book or other people spoke about it. Once again she wished that she attended the class with him. But that wasn't going to happen as Seb had attended Divination last year and therefore was a level higher than she was. "So... How are you?" Seb asked, blinking at the sun that would be setting soon. "That vision thingy... I had it the week before we went to Hogsmeade," she said softly as if to herself, probably reading more into the dream/vision and Seb's interpretation of it than was wise to do. Hell, it almost made her belief in Divination when she bent and twisted the interpretation a bit to fit reality. That didn't mean that she'd dropped her scepticism from one moment to the next, it was just that there might be a small grain of truth in it all. Sariss smiled down at Seb. She had been smiling almost all day. Even when a frown of concentration or otherwise was on her forehead, her mouth had been twitching into a small smile at least. The smile seemed to be edged into her face. Even in her sleep she must be smiling recently. Other people probably wondered already what was wrong with the usually expressionless face of Sariss Ravon. "I'm..." She thought for a moment. Fine? Good? Absolutely phenominally and absolutely crazily in love and therefore so happy that I'd be bursting with happiness if that were possible? "Very good and extremely happy." She blushed, her face becoming quite hot, certain that she sounded probably very stupid. "And you?"
Posted by: Seb_Darwin Sep 24 2003, 01:51 AM
"I'm..." She paused, "Very good and extremely happy. And you?" Sariss asked Seb, her cheeks becoming red. "Me? I'm perfect, thanks! Fantastic! Though, I wish the sun would just.. be.. dimmer! It's giving me a headache." He told her, almost laughing. The sun be dimmer?! Oh dear, Sebastian, you've had too much fresh air. Go. Quickly, back to you room where the air is probably stale. Sebs brain told him. As usual, he ignored it. Hogsmeade... When Sariss had mentioned their time at Hogsmeade a warm feeling flooded his body. "Just, don't worry about your 'vision thingy'. You don't get them to worry you, but to help you in their own weird way." He sat up again, brushing the dirt off his back which was followed by a stretch. Picking up his backpack, he placed it on his knees and began to adjust the strap which had came lose earlier in the day. He really needed a new bag. He had the money, and it wouldn't be too much trouble to walk with Sariss as she went to work and pop into Gladrags for one. Now he was getting more homework, he needed more space. His current bag could hardly hold air, nevermind four or five books. Seb gave in and threw it beside him then looked out at the Lake. "You know, this sound's stupid, but when I look out at that Lake... Seeing it all calm and almost still... I get a, I don't know, a panicked feeling inside me - Eerie.." Seb rolled his eyes at himself. "Don't mind me, I probably just need food or something.
Posted by: Sariss Sep 24 2003, 02:29 AM
"Don't worry," said Sariss. "Even the giant squid needs sleep now and then I suppose. Just imagine how calm the lake will be when it's winter and we'll try to skate over it and fail miserably." She giggled, imagining the scene in her mind's eye. She saw herself step on the lake quite confidently, making a few steps... and SMACK! Hehe... It was funny to imagine this. It would probably happen just like that--unless she was clinging to Seb and he'd fall with her. Even more funny a thought. And if they landed in a true mountain of snow, it would be bloody hilarious even. "I know I will. Probably going to stumble and tumble to the ground in a manner that doesn't exactly qualify as graceful but which people will more commonly describe as 'She fell smack on her bum' or something along those lines. Never ice-skated before. How about you?" She looked out over the lake, just like Seb did. The sun was setting, drenching the surface of the lake in a distinctly orangeish-reddish colour. It would be dinnertime soon, she gathered. She didn't want to check her watch now. The exact time wasn't important. Her stomach was grumbling. Yes, that was an indication that dinnertime was near. She glanced down at her rumbling and grumbling stomach and giggled. "Well, I guess my stomach knows when dinner is to be served. Shall we head back inside the castle? We're not supposed to be outside after dark anyway. Too dangerous." Grabbing her bag, she made to get up and held out her hand for Seb to take.
Posted by: Seb_Darwin Sep 24 2003, 10:43 PM
Seb looked around in a state of shock when she mentioned it was getting darker. "How time flies, eh?" He stated as he took her hand in his and stood up. "No, I've never been ice stating." He anwered her quietly. "Parents; too busy. Granma; too old. You get the picture." After brushing some dirt and grass off his back and legs he bent down to pick up his bag. "I really should get a new one..." Seb muttered, danging the bag by one of it's arms. He then took in a quick deep breath and sneezed as he dropped his bag. Seb let go of Sari's hand and placed it to the side of his head, closing his eyes. "That.. hurt..." He told her through gritted teeth. When he had sneezed, a sharp pain shot through his head, making it feel like it was being split in half by an axe. A few seconds passed and Seb opened his eyes and began to rub his right temple there the last of the pain was slowly subsiding. I thought people usually hurt their lungs and chest when they have a particually powerful sneeze? His brain told him, You need to be thrown into a bag, shook up, and put back together again. Letting out a quick rush of breath he once more picked up his school bag and took Sari's hand. "Righty oh, dinnertime! I'm hungry! I hope they have fruit salad for desert!"
Posted by: Sariss Sep 24 2003, 10:52 PM
Quite suddenly, Seb had let go of Sariss's hand and brought it to his temple. "That.. hurt..." he forced out. Sariss chewed on her lip, worried, and Seb took a very deep breath and picked his school bag back up. "Righty oh, dinnertime!" He took Sariss's hand again. "I'm hungry! I hope they have fruit salad for desert!" Sariss wondered if it had been what she secretly called the legacy again. For quite some time, Seb hadn't shown any signs of it getting worse or something. Maybe it was kicking in again. "You sure you're okay?" Sariss whispered, holding his hand tightly. She hoped that he only needed a good meal and a large glass of orange juice to feel better. Or... another quite trivial explanation... Maybe he had simply stood up too fast?

"You sure you're okay?" Sariss asked him in a quiet whisper, as she gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "I'm fine!" He told her, smiling. "It was just a powerful sneeze. I'm sure you know the type. Sneeze too hard and you black out!" Seb shrugged it off, laughing slightly. "Just the last bits of pollen attacking me! Grr!" He looked down at her heavy looking school bag. "That thing must do your back in," He stated as he nodded towards her bag. "Shall I carry it back for you? Looks like you have half the library in there, you know.." Seb held out the hand with his other bag in, "No trouble,"

"It's not quite half the library," Sariss said with a little smile, still slightly worried, but as there was nothing she could do and Seb didn't want to dwell on it much anyway... "It's just what happens when you take all classes available." Sariss shook her head. "Um... you're not a donkey or something. So I won't burden you with all those books." With a light groan, she adjusted her bag. "On second thought... How about if I take your bag and you take mine? Only fair." After a bit of work to convince him on Sariss's part, he gave in, and they swapped schoolbags and returned to the castle where dinner would surely be served very soon.
